I was a little intimidated by all the choices of seafood and Mexican food selection. The place is rather small, but really give you a large serving for fish tacos and are totally fresh and tasty. You really need to hunch over and take in the fish tacos in large bites, as they are fragile and have so much stuffed into the soft taco tortilla that you can loose much of the delicious toppings. I would like to dine in the restaurant, as there are plenty of seats, but since I was alone, I'd rather eat this at home. The fish tacos were ready in about five minutes and the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the menu to this gringo. Baja Mar is now our go-to place for tacos, thanks to their 99 cents tacos, with offerings that rotate daily. I've had their carne asada tacos on Monday, al pastor tacos on Thursday, and shrimp tacos on Saturday. Favorites are definitely the carne asada and al pastor tacos. Their shrimp tacos were good on our first order, but on a subsequent Saturday visit, we got fried shrimp that wasn't as good as the first time and with funkily shaped pieces and lots of batter without shrimp. Their wet burrito ($10.49) is also pretty hefty and delicious, if you want to branch out beyond their tacos! Call in your order 15 minutes prior if you wanna just come in to do a grab and go, but the wait time isn't too bad either if you order on-site. Credit cards are good to go here and while there's not an overabundance of parking spots, we never had an issue finding an empty spot. read more

I was craving some fish tacos as well as a wet burrito as I haven't really had any wet burrito in a long time since I started a new job. When I was working in Santa Fe Springs, there was a go to spot for wet burritos. So this time, I was on the hunt for one. Since we were at Michael's in the area, I ended up finding this place especially with good reviews on their fish tacos. Placed my order on the phone and took me about 10 mins to get there. Food would be ready in 15-20 mins. Easy pick up with no issues whatsoever. Friendly service here and went home to eat. Fish tacos wasn't too bad. A bit dry but overall good tasting fish tacos comparable to other places where I've tried their fish tacos. I ordered their carne asada wet burrito here and was eager to try it. The burrito was very meaty which I liked so plenty of carne asada mixed with beans and their sauce. Carne asada was also a bit dry but the sauce made up for it.
