Definitely one of my new favorite spots in the area, I was actually on my way to another restaurant, but drove by and saw this place and decided to give it a try, I started with three tacos, and ended up buying another two, place is pretty delicious but yet also very simple. Taco Lita has been around since 1967. They're doing something right. If you're looking for chicken or pork, you won't find it at this place. I got the Jumbo burrito. Tastes not bad, ground beef, lettuce, tomato, yellow cheese & beans. Customer service is superb. Gringo Mexican food at its finest. I was very disappointed with the food. First off, they only serve ground beef. I don't eat red meat, only chicken or turkey, so that made ordering difficult. I decided to try one taco anyway, and the meat wasn't seasoned at all. I also ordered a quesadilla. They essentially melted a full block of cheese in a tortilla, and when I ate it, it was DRIPPING in oil to the point where it was visibly unappetizing. Got here before the rush. Food is always fresh. We come here every time we stop in Arcadia. Lots of parking.

Was out running errands today and wanted to get something for lunch. I was coming up on Taco Lita and thought why not as I haven't been hearing in quite a while. Today's special for Wednesday was the combo burrito with a taco and a drink for $13.75. Not a bad price for what they give you. The taco was so crispy and so fresh I was so glad I stopped and got lunch. They use the Heinz taco packets now and honestly, I love it. I could only get through about a quarter of the burrito before I got full. Basically it's beans, cheese and meat and it was massive. The service inside they were super friendly and very quick. Wanted to try this place since it seemed pretty popular. However was pretty disappointed with the food. Was craving tacos but they only have one option and it is a hard shell taco. The jumbo burrito was also not very appetizing and I don't think it even had any meat inside. The food was not satisfying at all. The staff are very friendly and keep the place clean. read more

Horrible, ground beef is the only "meat" they have, and cheese...heart attack wrapped in a tortilla buttito and quesadilla looked exactly the same as the meat and cheese burrito. Picked up and took it home to eat, we did not eat it...thought about feeding it to the dogs, then decided they would probably get sick. $30 for garbage. read more

For some, I'm sure the nostalgia keeps them coming back. For me, it was the first time and it was pretty much what I expected. A mom and pop Del Taco, with higher prices but slightly better flavors. The taco is definitely the standout as it's stuffed with meat and cheese. The combo burrito was mid. Beans, meat and cheese. Nothing really special. I guess they don't have their taco sauce anymore, so Heinz mild is all you get. I think a really good sauce would make this place stand out more, but Del scorcho is still the best sauce in the biz, so I guess I'll be going to Del Taco when I need my gringo taco fix. Glad I tried it and not mad that I did. Really would go back for their tacos if they only had better sauce. Service was fast and friendly, so that's definitely a plus. read more

Tacos were ok... burrito was the greasiest thing I have ever seen. How something can be dry and greasy at the same time? Yeah ask Taco Lita for that recipe... go to taco treat, del taco, even Taco Bell. 4 tacos, 2 bean and cheese burritos was $32. No drinks, no extras. Off the top!! I will say this is not your authentic Mexican food place, very much American-Mexican if even that. You come here for the fresh loads of cheese and the sauce. I'd be surprised if the beans weren't from a can and that's okay, they serve their purpose. Ground beef, loads of cheese and fresh crisp lettuce and tomato. Sometimes you feel like that kind of burrito and/or tacos. Cheese lovers unite! Service is always great. Very fast, not a large menu so quick to make. As soon as I ordered a burrito and paid, they called my number. That's fast. I hate to give 3-star but they only deserve it for no longer having their sauce. If they reach out to me, or bring back their sauce, then I'll remove this review and give 5-star. They have very clean tasting tacos and burritos. Theres basically no oil in the meat. Taco Lita never disappoints! Literally the only thing that's changed, is their sauce, and not by their own accord. My dad used to take me here all the time growing up and 20 years later, I still find my way back. The interior is still the same with the retro orange and bright green tiles, love it. While their bean and cheese burritos are so simple, I quite literally have never had a burrito I've enjoyed better. The sauce, although it's not their original, is the perfect addition. This is my second Taco Trek in search of the best local tacos. Today, the crunch was great and reminded me of my youth when tacos were primo. Apparently, there is report of a ghost haunting this location, so I need to do more investigating. Today was taco Friday, so I got five tacos for around ten dollars, which is pretty good. It has the classic mid century vibe to it. Everything there is original from the 60s! The menu was simple - straight forward and no frills! Unfortunately, they don't have the famous taco lita sauce, but they do have the Heinz replacement sauce packets. As I took my first bite into the taco, I was surprised by the quality of the hard shell. It was light and crispy, unlike the store bought versions. The taco has simple ingredients such as ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and a couple strips of tomatoes. I appreciate its simplicity. My verdict? This place is a must try if you're in Arcadia and in the mood for burritos and/or hard shell tacos. This longstanding Arcadia hard-shelled taco stand definitely deserves much recognition! read more

This is a nostalgic place in my home town. It's an american take on Mexican food similar to Taco Bell as it was in the 70s. Their menu features tacos, tostadas, burritos with ingredients like ground beef, refried beans, grated cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce and diced tomatoes. They've been out of Taco Lita branded hot sauce packets for a while. The fact that it's still the same over decades is kinda cool, almost frozen in time. read more

I know I was here years ago...I stopped by again because my car had a flat and I was waiting for the auto club to show up and I was hungry. I got the manager special: Taco, Bean & Cheese Burrito and a drink. I recalled that I was not too thrilled from my previous visit, however I saw the flow of people and thought well it cannot be that bad. I was severely disappointed. The taco which was a decent size was horrible. The shell felt stale and it lacked taste. Even with the Heinze Taco Sauce could not really figure out the popularity of this place. I moved on to the burrito and the only thing I could think was REALLY? The cheese was not even melted or melting. The beans were very pasty and only warm, in short, no chance of melting. Again I added the sauce to help me get through this, but could not even finish the food because it was simply not what I expect it. I think the two big taco chains are far better and that says a lot. Again, not sure what the regular customers see in this place, however, it must appeal to locals or a certain palate. Whatever the case, I do not plan to come here again and much less recommend it to anyone. Sorry. read more
