After finishing 18 holes at Santa Anita Golf Course, I was ready to grub, and luckily I came across El Pastorcito Taco II. Finding the taco truck was a little tricky because it wasn't initially parked where the address was pinned on Yelp. I almost gave up on the taco mission, but as I was leaving, I spotted it parked right on Santa Anita Ave, just before you hit Huntington Dr. I'm definitely glad I kept looking because these tacos hit the spot! I went with the sample platter and tried the chorizo, asada, and pastor. Every single one was better than the last. The meats were flavorful, the tacos were satisfying, and the fresh salsas added the perfect kick. After shooting a 100 on the golf course, these tacos were exactly the kind of post-round reward I needed. ‍ I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. A perfect way to end a cold night is a hot plate of 3 Al Pastor Tacos and 3 Asada Tacos to share with friends, especially when the Al Pastor Tacos come with pineapple :) I see the El Pastorcito Tacos II parked on Santa Anita Ave most nights, and decided to give it a shot after walking on the track at night. They are open till 11:30 PM, and they had a line of connoisseurs at 10 PM. I can see why! Their tacos are served hot and made on the spot. Their Asada Tacos with red sauce is great; they give it a great char and their salsa roja is savory and smoky. I especially love their Al Pastor Tacos: spicy, tender pork, with the sweetness of fresh pineapple to give that extra brightness and acidity. By far one of the best Al Pastor tacos I have had in a while, and they get extra bonus points for topping theirs with pineapple as some tacos trucks in LA don't do that all the time. Just thinking about it and typing this makes me want to head there but I will just have to wait till next time. Solid taco truck in arcadia. Tortillas are soft and fluffy but holds the meat well. Cabeza is soft tender flavorful. Asada is solid as you'd expect. The al pastor comes with a slice of pineapple which gives a great sweet and savory combo. Quesadilla is overwhelmingly cheesy which tastes great but can be a bit much. You can park at the parking lot in which the truck is near, order, and take it to-go. I got to try the al pastor and carne asada tacos. It came in a to-go bag along with a side of radish & lime, sauces, and utensils. The portions are great, and the food was delicious all around. I have no complaints. Pastorcito corazon! My husband and I came by tonight to have a quick dinner from El Pastorcito Taco 2 on the way home and it was delicious. This taco truck is located on Santa Anita on the backside of the golf course, you can park in the golf course parking lot or even street parking very conveniently. I ordered 4 Al Pastor tacos (huge tacos: practically two in one for about $2.50ea) and my husband got the Alambre plate which came with 4 flour tortillas(also a huge plate for $15) we both had enough to save for later. The cashier was very friendly and offered great suggestions and said that we would love it, and he was so right! Both the red and green salsas are excellent, both with a little kick. The truck itself looks brand new with a clear view of the trompo spinning in the side window. They do charge a $1 fee for card transactions FYI. Updated review: the food is still good, granted I really only purchase tacos. However, I would not recommend due to the customer service...went from great to horrible over the months. I recently placed a large order and the person on the phone wasn't paying attention to me, I think he kept trying to help the line there and take my order at the same time. He rudely asked me to wait because he had a long line outside and even then he took my order wrong. Love love love this place! It's a taco truck that sits on Santa Anita, right next to the parking lot for the Santa Anita park/golf course. It's very easy to get to, and there's always plenty of parking due to the large parking lot for the park and facility center (tennis, golf, etc.). The folks that run this truck are always very friendly and patient when you are deciding what to order - but I recommend getting the Al Pastor tacos!! Generous servings, and there are grilled pineapples in the tacos -- DELICIOUS! The pricing is very affordable, especially for what you get. I saw some reviews say that the prices change, but the cost is literally written on the truck - just do the math and you'll see that they charge exactly what they say, but they DO add a surcharge if you pay with card so cash is king. I always order to go and eat when I get home in 15-20 minutes with no problem - the food is piping hot and just as fresh as if I ate it right at a restaurant. Best taco truck in Arcadia! Located near the parking lot of the Santa Anita Golf Course I really do adore this place. The prices are somewhat reasonable (a bit expensive tbh but with inflation... I get it). I love their pastor. My favorite is the pastor mullita, and when I can't finish it I pop it in the air fryer later for a perfect snack! My husband usually gets an asada burrito and I usually get 3-4 tacos and a mullita so I have leftovers for later! Staff speaks English pretty well, easy to use credit card. Food came out within minutes, and the food was decent quality (most of the taco trucks I've gone to have been on the greasier side.) Only tried their tacos, but they're pretty good. The not so great: +_skip the pineapple Aqua Fresca, it tasted fermented. We didn't intend on ordering it but ended up with it. It was initially a nice surprise until we tasted it. It tasted like it had been a week or two too old, literally almost tasted like alcohol. It didn't feel good drinking it. +_No sign or before hand notice on $1 CC charge. I'm fine with it when businesses tell you but it's a little annoying when they don't. The person who rang me up told me after he charged me and as he handed me the receipt. +_I wouldn't order the burritos again. Even the Al pastor one as a little disappointing. Maybe I'm spoiled or something but idr the Al pastor burrito having anything else other than rice and meat. I guess I was expecting a little more. I love these tacos!! They have this truck and one in temple city. I usually get lengua and cabeza. Their lengua is a whole piece and not chopped which I like.
