It's located in what we fondly call Restaurant Row in Monrovia that goes all the way into neighboring Arcadia. It stands where the old Applebees used to be, and honestly I feel like when they revamped the building it brought a little bit of life and spice to our little town. The restaurant itself is nice and very clean. The tables and small seating area have aluminum chairs with fire house red paint and I love it! Now for the food! One of my favorite locations for Dave's. I have been here more than once. The staffs here were so efficient. They were pretty friendly. During the free sliders day, there was a staff greeting people at the door and instructing customers when to enter. That way it wouldnt get so crowded. Orders were taken and names were called in minutes. I think I was in and out in 20 or 30 minutes at most. This was consider fast compared to other places who offered free stuff/foods, imo. I came for the fallout meal. I had Dave's in Hollywood few years ago and I remember liking it. However today our food was very dry. The sauce was good. The milkshake was awful. We got the chocolate one and it just taste like syrup. All the workers were nice and hardworking so that's why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of two. During lunch hour on a weekday, I need to order something that is quick and portable in case I have to go back to work! Dave's hot chicken was super convenient and the ordering kiosk helps make my choices more easier. I ordered a couple things for a quick lunch get together: non spicy just in case we share for the toddler and I don't really want to eat spicy Dave #2 Two Chicken sliders (non spicy) with cheese fries subbing the regular side. Extra cost Dave #1 Chicken tenders (2 non spicy) with regular fries Dave's Chicken bites (10 non spicy) After ordering on the kiosk, you can have it email your receipt. Unfortunately, the printing option wasn't working. Once your order is ready, they will call your name. The meals came in trays and the utensils and ketchup can be asked at the counter. Each of the chicken tenders and the bites came with a slice of bread, it was okay and just plain white bread. Unfortunately, I forgot drinks weren't part of the meals so had to go back and order drinks from the kiosk. Another issue was I realized after sharing some of the fries that they forgot one was a subbed cheese fries. So when I went back to the counter, I had to wait a bit since the staff were in the kitchen but luckily one of them saw me and I was able to let them know. They handed me a container of cheese which works as a dip instead of poured over (which is great since the fries stayed crispy). The food was good, we were able to finish within an hour as well! Their fried chicken with the bun and pickle vegetables were pretty good combination, I will give it a thumbs up. French fries was good and crispy. The place inside is pretty big, clean, plenty of seats. You order the food on the touch screen and they call your name to pick up the food. The wait for food was kind of long, we waited for at least 15 minutes, not your fast food restaurant, I guess they start cooking it once the order is in. Not pre cooked. Their restroom is clean however we see people from outside came in to use it and left, it will be a good idea to have a lock combination for safety concern. So the food are great except the wait. Tried cheese on the slider and fries for the first time and its a game changer. I really like their fries that are very crispy, but adding the cheese (nacho type cheese) made it taste so good even though its a little soggy after a while, it adds a new dynamic to the flavor profile of the fries. Most recent visit Sun 9/7/25 between 5p-6p something that I will speak of (which my family witnessed) the girl in the front counter (don't know her name but she wears heavy makeup) we saw her put on gloves (we thought oh wow, sanitary!!) but only to witness her taking cash (bills and coins) from a paying customer, handling the register, then taking food trays from the kitchen counter , touching "back of house" stuff and condiments sauces, all with the same gloves. she then handed our food; we asked for ketchup, sauce etc and grabbed the stuff with her money-gloved hands and she threw the condiments over our food- not on the side of the tray but ON TOP of our food. Sooo, I mean- she's wearing gloves to handle "food/kitchen items" but what's the point if with the same gloves you've handled money. Pretty sure management can address that- given that they do keep up with cleanliness of the restaurant as a whole; you can clearly see that! I have heard from other fast food employees that sometimes it's management that limits on how many times gloves can be switched out during a shift! So idk... I am vegetarian so I always take advantage of when the Cauliflower is available. Recently I have been experiencing such disappointing orders received. I usually always write a good review but recently gave up due to the fact that the team had been major lacking and scamming when it comes to the portion given. Prices are high here - again I don't mind because I love it. But my sandwiches have been having sample sized cauliflower patty's and my cheese fries are literally just 10 fries with a very small amount of cheese. I pay extra for these modifications and to be given a shitty meal really is disappointing.
