I cannot believe it has taken me this long to try Shakey's. Our sports team came here for an end-of-season party and it fit the bill perfectly. There is a side room that is quasi-separate so it serves well as a private room. Once the kids start feeling rowdy, they can play the arcade games in the small play area and redeem tickets for prizes. As for food, the pizza is solid, the salad bar is serviceable, the mojo potatoes were absolutely delicious, and the fried chicken and wings were shockingly good for a pizza joint. It is a loud, casual, no-fuss, kid-filled place and I love it for what it is.

    Welcome to Shakey's Pizza Parlor.

Every childhood pizza starts at Shakey's. And their 80's 90's pizza commercial was every kids fantasy. lol. That being said let's begin this pizza parlor review. Shakey's Pizza Parlor is an America's pizza. It's the best place for kids to celebrate bdays or just an evening with your family. This is the oldest pizza parlor franchise in the world. I came to grab a thicc Texas BBQ pizza and potatoes. Both were great. I love their soft crust and the mozzarella cheese as well as the chicken. This particular location provides good service and friendly staffs. Interior was clean with multiple tv. Overall, I enjoyed my food. I recommend this Shakey's location.

Great service provided, food was on point. Great customer service Always, love coming here from Las Vegas, Nevada and also while leaving in Alhambra we would have our boys birthday parties here. Assistant Manager, Reynaldo was very professional and helpful. And his team provided Great

Came here for a late lunch on a hot day. The air condition was not too strong. There is a small parking lot available. The restaurant was not packed. We were able to find a table by the window. The table behind us was not cleaned when we were seated, and it was not cleaned when we left. They must be short staffed. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, fried chicken, and, mojo potato. Food was decent. It was a surprised to me that the pizza crust was crispy, and I like it. However, the fountain drinks were not my favorite. I tried a few of their sodas, and most of them were towards the sour side, especially Pepsi zero. Will come back for more mojo potato's and pizza.

On a Thursday at 11am in August, I decided to eat here for lunch $14.99. I was the 2nd person in line. The door was opened on time and waited a few minutes for the cashier to take my order. I haven't been here in years. Inside has booths and big tables. The good is line up next to the cashier. Various pizza flavors, Salad bar, spaghetti, cheese bread, grill chicken, fried chicken thighs and drumsticks, mojos. I tried every type of pizza and all of them taste as good. The fried chicken was fried nicely kinda salty not greasy, the mojos was good too. The sever came by twice to pick up my dirty plates and replace with clean plates. After 3 plates of food I was too full. Nice AC. Good service. Plenty of parking.

5 Star review compared to Alhambra location. My BF and I enjoy indulging in lunch buffets that are cheap and have some healthy offerings like a good salad bar. Shakey's and Sizzler is where we frequent most for lunch buffets. I live like 5 mins from the Alhambra location but have been slightly disappointed in their quality recently so decided let's make the drive out to SG and try this location. Already off the bat I was thrilled because our receipt for 2 included a voucher of $3off our next visit (must be used within 7 days). That's great!!! This location also looks slightly smaller but way more organized with plenty of space between the tables and buffet so didn't have to deal with over crowding buffet lines. Arcade area is also in the back so a lot less noisier. Food offerings were about the same as Alhambra location but we did notice they had a few additional salad bar offerings like sun-dried tomatoes. What I was most impressed about was the freshness of all the pizza chicken and churros! I don't know if we just caught a good time or what but everything we had was fresh and crispy, not dried out not hard. Alhambra location, almost always the churros would be HARD. Even after the end of our meal just as lunch buffet was nearing it's last call, the food was still very good and churros stayed soft. Maybe it's the chef or how hot their heat lamps are I don't know. I just know I much much much prefer this location over Alhambra now and would gladly make the 30 min drive out. Water cups are small plastic cups located near the soda fountain. Water dispenser is in a separate jug, so you didn't have to wait for soda fountain access. Staff service was great, similar level of service as Alhambra location so props to Shakey's training and staff!

When you walk in, you place your food order at the counter and pay for your drinks. Then you get a number to place on your table. After this you have to walk over to the bar to pick up your drinks which is inconvenient because there isn't always someone at the bar, so you would have to wait on many cases. Once you pick up your drinks, you find a table in a wide open dining hall with picnic style tables and booths against the walls. It can get very loud depending on the crowd but usually not too bad. The food is pretty good. I like their pizzas and the mojo potatoes. My favorites are the Firehouse, Shakey's Special, and the Garden Veggies pizzas. You can never skip the mojo potatoes... Their chicken wings are pretty good too, but I usually don't get them... Too much food. Lol Their service is a hit or miss depending on who's working, but unfortunately mostly a miss. There used to be a girl server who was very courteous and attentive who took care of us really well, but haven't seen her or anyone else like that before or after her time. I always come back due to the fact that this location is so convenient for me.

The service was great, the pizza was delicious, and my friends and I had a lot of fun. By the way, I absolutely love the marshmallow pizza, you have to try it!

All I can say is, this place checks every box on a diner's list looking for true cost savings and a diverse array of dishes. The seniors have voted. The hibachi stall offering steaks, pork chops, pork bellies , Shrimp to be honest taste no less better than what Red Rock was trying to do with its grilled steaks. The sushi here is surprisingly fresh and Trumps Luxe Buffett in Ontario in terms of food freshness. They have an entire dim sum bar for brunch goers and the overall hot food bar I give it a 7/10 while giving the Cold Fruits and Desserts Bars a 9/10. Have no idea what to eat for lunch? With the cost of groceries, gas, and dining out continuing to climb, people are looking for a place where they can get a good meal without spending a fortune. This place fits the bill. If you come before 4:00 p.m. on a weekday, lunch is around $15. That's about what you'd spend on a burger, fries, and a drink at some fast-food chains these days, except here you get an entire buffet with plenty of choices. The salad bar is well stocked and includes fresh fruit. They also have sushi rolls and nigiri. Is it sushi restaurant quality? No. But considering that one specialty roll at a sushi restaurant can cost $12-$16 by itself, it's a nice bonus. My favorite item is fried chicken. It's crispy, flavorful, and consistently juicy. I would gladly pay the lunch price just for the chicken. They also serve a very good pot roast, meaty pork ribs, and on Fridays they have a surprisingly good rib roast. Those are just a few of the highlights because there are plenty of other dishes to choose from. As for the staff, most of the employees appear to be young and may be working their first job. The cooks aren't trying to be gourmet chefs, they focus on preparing the buffet items well, and overall, they do a good job keeping the food coming despite how busy the restaurant gets. If you're looking for a fine dining experience prepared by professionally trained chefs, this probably isn't the place for you. But if your goal is to enjoy a wide variety of good food at a price that's hard to beat in today's economy, this buffet is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for a crowd, that's usually a sign they're doing something right.

We did have to wait in line before getting seated. The wait wasn't too long for our party of 7 as it took maybe 15 min or so. The food was okay. It's what you would expect from an AYCE buffet like this. It's maybe on par with the likes of Golden Corral or Hometown Buffet (from back in the day). The highlight things to eat may be the made-to-order Mongolian BBQ where you load up your bowl with veggies, protein (chicken, pork, shrimp, beef, etc), noodles, and seasonings. Hand it over to the staff cook and they hand you a pager to notify you when done. The other food highlight may be the Japanese sushi area. While not the highest quality of ingredients, it was still decent for the price of the buffet and the fact that there's a staff member making the sushi rolls consistently rather than just leaving a bunch out in a tray to get old and dry. Definitely might be an even better deal as a lunch AYCE option. But for dinner it's still nice to go to.

Their hot food section had a lot of tasty stuff like Thai chicken, stir fry beef, fried fish and calamari and so on. I also like that they have clam chowder. I wish they have more varieties of the grill section. They don't have boneless beef steaks other than marinated galbi with bones. Ice cream section was cleared out when my kids went for a second round and never got replenished before we decide not to wait anymore. It would be great if they can replenish dishes often. Ambiance is well-lit, and spacious. Overall, a very solid buffet experience and worthy of returning.

Fuji Buffet and Grill has a pretty solid dining area. There are beautiful chandeliers, and nice…read moredarker colors to juxtapose the bright lights. The service was also pretty good. The servers were very thorough when clearing the dirty plates and refilling everyone's drinks. Unfortunately, they were less thorough when loading/unloading clean/dirty dishes. My group's table was near this area, and the sound of silverware and plates being dumped and loaded into bins and carts reoccurred every few minutes and interrupted conversations. I will split up the food into two parts, seafood and everything else. Seafood- I do not eat seafood, so I took my family's word for it. They were very satisfied with the crab legs and the crawfish. They said it was worth the 40 dollars and they filled their bellies with multiple plates. My girlfriend said the shrimp did not taste good or fresh. All of the other food- i tried most of the other items, but I honestly only enjoyed one row of selection: the stir fry area. This included chow mein, beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, and black pepper beef. This was the most flavorful and fresh set of flavors I experience during. My dinner. Also, the chicken wings were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately they needed sauce. Fuji buffet offers quite a few sauces, but none paired well with the wings. Also the restaurant provided 4 giant bottles of sauce, but they were not all labeled and they were admittedly dirty on the outside. In short- they were slippery to the point where they slide out of my grip. Also, the bottles had sauce dripping outside of them and needed to be clean. So, I decided to pass on them. The desert area was nice, but the items did not feel or taste fresh. The cream puffs were soggy and the tiramisu fell flat. Either all of these things considered 3/5 for sea food lovers. 2/5 for sea food avoiders

We tried meats #1-3 from the regular menu and #8-9 from the weekend/dinner menu. Overall, the meat quality was decent, but I would definitely recommend ordering from the weekend/dinner menu if it's available. Those selections were noticeably better than the standard options. The service was attentive throughout our meal. The staff checked in regularly and promptly took our next round of meat orders whenever we ran out. You can order up to three items per round for the table. As expected for an AYCE (all-you-can-eat) hot pot restaurant, there were self-serve stations for vegetables, seafood, noodles, and sauces along the back of the restaurant. The vegetables were fresh, and the buffet areas were clean and well maintained. Parking was also convenient since the restaurant is located in a plaza with plenty of other stores and restaurants.

Finally decided to try All That Shabu in Alhambra this past weekend, and I was pleasantly…read moresurprised. When we arrived on a Saturday night, the restaurant was moderately busy, but the wait wasn't outrageous. Our server did a great job explaining how everything worked. It's 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat for $35.00 per person, and you're allowed to order up to three types of meat per round. The restaurant is set up well. Off to the left is a self-serve station stocked with vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, seafood, and other hot pot essentials. Drinks are also self-serve, and they even have a soft-serve ice cream machine if you want something sweet after your meal. One thing I really appreciated was the variety of hot foods available. They offered items you don't typically find at a standard shabu restaurant, which was a nice surprise. I also noticed a sign explaining that the hot food selection changes regularly, so each visit may offer something a little different. There's also a dipping sauce station where you can customize your sauces exactly how you like them. I ordered the house broth, which had a mild, lingering spice. It added plenty of flavor without leaving that overpowering heat that lingers long after you're done eating. My partner chose the miso broth, which was rich, creamy, and earthy--you really can't go wrong with a good miso broth. The meat is sliced fresh after you place your order, and you can definitely tell the difference. The slices were tender and cooked beautifully in the broth. They also offer four different noodle options. I went with the classic egg noodles this time, but next visit I'll probably try the buckwheat noodles since it's been a while since I've had a good bowl with them. When you're finished, you simply pay near the entrance, making the checkout process quick and easy. My only real complaint was that it was a little difficult to flag someone down when I needed more broth added to my pot. I like keeping enough broth in the pot so it doesn't begin to scorch the bottom, and it took a bit longer than expected to get someone's attention. Other than that, I really enjoyed the overall experience. The staff gives you plenty of space to enjoy your meal without constantly interrupting, making it a great place to catch up with family and friends. The music was at a comfortable volume, allowing conversations and laughter to fill the room without having to talk over loud speakers. One thing to keep in mind if you're coming with a large group: the largest table I saw comfortably seated six people. Since the tables are bolted to the floor, larger parties will likely need to split between multiple tables. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Between the fresh meats, customizable broths and sauces, the rotating hot food selection, and the relaxed atmosphere, All That Shabu is a great spot if you're looking for quality hot pot in a laid-back setting. At $35.00 per person, I thought it was a great value. With tax and tip, our total came to $92 for two people, which felt very reasonable for an all-you-can-eat meal with fresh ingredients and plenty of variety. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing hot pot experience with friends or family.
