2 Scoop Poke Bowl - Salmon and Tuna Luau with a salad base

Our favorite poke place hands down. The flavors are great. I love the sweet citrus sauce. I always get the salad base with salmon and tuna luau so I can get some avocado for free. The tuna limu is pretty good too. Fair warning the sizes seem to be smaller like most places lately but it's still the best in terms of freshness and flavor. I got my coworkers so addicted to this place that even I'm getting poked out. I would be weary of mobile food service ordering from here though cause they're notorious for forgetting the sauces which is what really makes the dish.

The poke here is super fresh and tasty!! I ordered online to pick up for my lunch and it was made very fast. They have several options for protein, and the sauces here are all delicious! Make sure to sign up for the rewards to get your Poke points!! (I got free avocado this time because of the points!) There is also a huge parking lot shared with other businesses in the plaza. 10/10

Stumbled upon this place and had to check it out since I'm a big Poke Bowl fan. They have variety of salmon and tuna options, also the first place where shrimp is also an option. I opted for the 3 scoops with half salad and noodle, loved the noodles, it added a nice crunch. Tasted all of the fish, and all tasted delicious and fresh. Although, scoops were fairly smaller than other places, bowl is large enough to keep you satiated for sure! Will definitely be back when in the area. Price is decent too and plenty of parking.

Generous portions and super fresh fish make this poke bowl spot a standout. Everything tasted clean and well-balanced, and I really appreciated the quality of the ingredients. Definitely a go-to for a satisfying and refreshing meal. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are friendly and efficient.

pretty good! they have a lot of options & the portions are big as well. the quality of the protein/poke lacked a bit, not gonna lie. the slices were really thin. but other than that, they loaded it up. also, i got the app because other people were saying to because of the deals! lots of tables inside as well! ambiance is welcoming and decent.

The portion sizes are generous and their ingredients are good quality. They have plenty of topping and sauces to choose from at a decent price. I opted for regular 2 scoops with half white rice half salad, which I was pleasantly surprised they put in a large container due to the salad taking up more space. I did wish they had sushi rice as an option, which is my go-to at other poke spots. I love salmon so I stuck with that, but I tried my fiancé's limu tuna which was delicious as well. I found it interesting that the fish choices already come pre-mixed with sauces and other ingredients, but I didn't mind them. The limu tuna had pieces of kelp noodles, which wasn't terrible but did throw us off a bit. My favorite sauces are the house sauce and sweet citrus. I loved the option of paying with the inKind app! Service was not the most friendly and it seemed like she really didn't want to be there, but I guess that's typical of quick service spots. There were plenty of tables to sit at which was a plus, but some tables clearly needed to be wiped down.

Decently priced poke with a generous serving (scoops) of fish. The topping selection is larger compared to other places. A nice variety of sauces included as well. I favor 2 scoops of salmon 1 scoop tuna and enjoyed my bowl with crab meat, edamame, seaweed salad, spicy mayo, furikake, and ponzu. Plenty of seating and place is well kept.

$19 for this delicious poke bowl is sooo worth it. I ordered half kelp noodles (so unique i have never gone to any other poke place that has this before, so glad i tried) and half brown rice with salmon, tuna avocado salad drizzle in eel and garlic sauce. Super fresh and flavorful, they offered samples as well so you can try before choosing the toppings. Miso soup was also well done. I called and they said it's dog friendly, but my pup and I ended up didn't dine in. Biiggg parking lot and plaza with so many other places (huge Daiso, Meet Tea, etc.) to go is kind of a plus for me to spend a night.

I ordered the 2 item poke bowl with brown rice. The poke all looks so delicious, but the worker who scooped my scoops into my bowl scooped so little. I noticed it at first but I thought it wouldn't be too bad. Now as I am eating the poke bowl, I'm already finished with almost all the pieces of fish and the majority that's left is all rice and sides. I would be giving this place 4 or 5 stars if the portions were better. I go to a lot of poke places and usually with 2 scoop bowls I am getting way more fish than this. The flavor of the poke is still good, but the portions are what's making this review only 2 stars. Definitely feels like a rip off and way too little fish compared to the rice.

AUGUSTIN IS THE BEST HERE!!! So are all of the other employees, but he sets the tone for kind customer service and recommending what to order! The meat here is the best and they're super fast to get your order out. This is by far my favorite poke spot and when I walk in and see Augustin, I know it's gonna be even better!

    Plastic in my food.
    Lana J.

I have mixed feelings. I liked that they offered a very nice discount for my first order but as I was mixing my food I found a piece of plastic in my bowl. Tried to call several times but no answer. I called the number I found online. 626-292-1687. Couldn't leave a message. I'm not super close to this location but not far but I didn't feel like riding back. So anyway, I'm disappointed to find this and glad I didn't choke on it. I ordered a 3 scoop bowl and it was near the Hawaiian Crab Salad part so maybe it's from the packaging that came in? Not sure. The place looked clean inside. But again I was iffy about finishing the bowl. So I didn't. I would be nice for management to reach out. It was just one guy in there but it wasn't busy at all so I am not sure if he was in a rush or not. Note this was a mobile order for pick up at 3pm on 1/14 yesterday!!

On a poke hunt, we stumbled upon this new spot, Ahi Poki, and decided to give it a try. The girl who served us was nice, but unfortunately, she didn't seem very knowledgeable when it came to answering some of my basic questions, which was a bit disappointing for a new establishment. Now, onto the food: the fish quality is good, no complaints there. However, the ratio of fish to the other condiments is way off. The single baby scoop of fish they give must weigh no more than 2 ounces--if that. I don't know about you, but when I go out for poke, I'm there for the fish, not to be buried under a mountain of carbs and veggies. While I get that businesses need to make a profit, skimping on the main protein is a quick way to lose repeat customers. It's frustrating to leave feeling like the bowl didn't live up to its promise. If they can adjust the portions to give the fish its rightful spotlight, this place could really shine. For now, it's decent, but I probably wouldn't rush back.

Out of the appetizers, the sprouts was the one that surprised me the most. The bacon and seasoning complement the baked Brussels sprouts perfectly. The calamari was whatever, I felt it was too battery for my personal liking but my friend loved it. The oysters were smaller than what I usually get from other restaurant but it still hit the spot. The entree was amazing and the jambalaya has quite a kick to it even when I ordered it at medium heat. There was plenty of shrimp, mussels, sausages, and protein in the pasta and rice dish. The environment is family-friendly, with several tables occupied by kids and families. Just be aware that the music and overall noise level are fairly loud. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.

They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. None of the dishes were too salty and all were seasoned well and in pretty big portions, though I don't remember the exact price since they took the receipt away when we paid. But the meal was very worth and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Such a yummy meal! I really enjoyed it! I am definitely coming back again!

My family and I used to religiously eat lobster noodles whenever we made a trip down to SoCal. The pick of the bunch was 100% Newport Seafood- no negotiations, no contemplations. Unfortunately, the last handful of times have left me extremely disappointed and heavily annoyed. The cost and wait times do not reflect what is actually being provided and most of our food ends up being left behind because it simply isn't worth the calories. In all honestly, I've grown a phobia w/ that specific restaurant at this point because of the countless letdowns. My initial taste of Boston Lobster was about 3 years ago and I had the most enjoyable meal. Due to our LA trip coming to an end, my BD thought we should do it big with some lobster noodles- for good old time's sake. I absolutely refused to go anywhere unless we would be giving Boston Lobster a visit! Sure enough, they did not disappoint! Dinner for 3 adults and 1 toddler consisted of: *Boston House Special Lobster [no spice] + Garlic Noodles for an additional fee. Medium Size 5-6lbs minimally. *French Style Beef Cube *Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves We ate like mf'n KINGS!! Each and every dish was spectacular- even the greens! While we should have gone with the small sized lobster, I'm proud to say we went down with an honorable fight. Lmao!! The lobster was cooked to perfection- meat was sweet, succulent, and so darn tender. The garlic noodles soaked up all of the delicious lobster flavors and were not overcooked and mush. The bo luc lac was flavorful, juicy, and complimented the bed of lettuce, onions, & tomatoes so well. The snow pea leaves weren't tough and old- this truly was a simply yet magical dish. Service was on point and the staff continually came by to swap out our plates full of lobster shells. Above all, there was no wait with our initial arrival. Parking is easy given the fact that BL has a pretty big parking lot specifically for them. 5/5 stars!! We dropped over 3 bills here and it didn't even hurt. Lmao- this place is that damn good! Don't sleep on this joint, y'all. Boston Lobster is the real deal when it comes to authentic Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine. This spot should be so much more hyped than it actually is!

We started with the sizzling razor clams, and honestly, they were the highlight of the meal, perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and a great start. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and it really missed the mark. Several ingredients felt poorly prepared. The tendon was so tough it was basically inedible and had to be pushed aside. The pork blood tasted like it had been cooked separately since it had none of the broth flavor soaked into it. Even the beef slices felt out of place, almost like they had been pulled from a pho bowl and dropped into the BBH at the last minute. The broth itself lacked the richness, spice, and strong lemongrass flavor that normally makes Bun Bo Hue stand out. It just tasted flat. There was also a mix-up with our order when the wrong dish came out instead of the lobster. When the lobster finally arrived, it was badly overcooked and much smaller than what was shown on the menu. On top of that, the music was blasting the entire time, no one really checked in to see how things were going, and it took multiple attempts just to get our check. When we mentioned the food issues, the response was basically, "We'll let the chef know." Not exactly the kind of service you hope for after a disappointing meal.
