I've been coming to Poki Bomb for a while now, and it's consistently been one of my go-to poke spots. The restaurant is usually very clean, the staff is always kind and welcoming, and they always have great music playing, which makes the experience even better. This visit was a little disappointing, though. The fish portions were noticeably smaller than usual, and it felt like they were skimping compared to past visits. One of the reasons I love this place is because they've always been generous with their portions, so it was definitely something I noticed. I went on a Friday afternoon around 5 p.m. There was nobody inside. The place looked bigger than it seemed on the outside. Quite clean. There's plenty of seating, and there's also plenty of parking. I could hear some K-pop music playing in the background. Not bothered by it, but just an interesting choice. As for the food setup, you self-serve your own water, there are napkins available, and if you need soy sauce or hot sauce, you need to ask. They give you a tray, and after you're done, you throw away your own food and clean up after yourself. I got a small bowl, and it includes two scoops of fish. I got the Spicy Hawaiian Tuna and the Salmon Shoyu. I also got the regular crab salad, which is non-spicy. For the vegetables, I got edamame, seaweed salad, cucumber, carrots, ginger, and corn. For my base, I got half brown rice and half salad. For the sauce, I got the recommended sauce, which was the non-spicy house sauce with eel sauce and Japanese spicy mayo. For toppings, I got furikake and crispy onions. They were very generous with the portions. I asked for a little extra seaweed salad, and they were okay with giving it, so that was nice. At first glance, there's a lot of food, and I feel like their small is comparable to other places' medium size. So if you're not that hungry, I would go with the small. There's plenty of food there. As for the taste of the food, I would rate it a 3 out of 5 because the Salmon Shoyu really wasn't anything special. Yes, there's a soy sauce kind of base in there, but it didn't really enhance the flavor of the salmon. It kind of just tried to mask the fishy flavor or mask the not-as-fresh taste of the fish. Same thing with the Spicy Hawaiian Tuna. The seasoning was a little better, but overall, I don't think the fish itself was very fresh because after I finished eating, I took a sip of water and felt kind of grossed out because my whole mouth tasted very, very fishy. That kind of tells me the fish was not very fresh. I had ginger as one of my toppings, so I was having ginger every other bite with it, and I feel like that kind of masked the fishy smell. That's kind of unfortunate because the fish should be fresh, and I shouldn't need anything to mask the fresh flavor. Honestly, if you're not picky, then yes, this will keep you full, but the quality of the fish is pretty important when it comes to poke. Another thing is while we were eating, they were cleaning the floors, and there was a really strong chemical smell that was pretty off-putting while I was eating. They came pretty close to our sitting area. I would say less than 10 feet from where we were sitting, and they were mopping the floors. The place is very, very clean, but even though there weren't a lot of people besides us and one other party, I don't feel like they should be mopping the floors while customers are sitting there eating. That kind of made the place smell pretty sterile and not great, especially while dining in. All in all, it was an okay experience. read more

Poki Bomb is such an underrated spot. I visited for lunch on a weekday and the experience was great! The two scoops option is more than plenty and there are so many different fish option. I got the shoyu salmon and hawaiian tuna and they were both so fresh and delicious! They also have many yummy sauces and toppings to select from, no limits. Service was great and the restaurant was clean with plenty of indoor seatings. Parking is easy as its located inside a plaza thats not very busy. Will definitely come back to PokiBomb! read more

I am super extra picky with my poke and this place does not disappoint. Every time I come I get super fresh food and many options for delicious sauces. They also serve hot bowls for those who can't stomach raw fish. They offer beef, chicken, Bento boxes... lots of great stuff. They have a roomy seating area. There was only one guy working behind the counter, but he handled everything really well and got everyone served quickly. My favorite poke place in the 626 area, it's not traditional poke obviously but it's good quality, so many toppings to choose from, fairly priced and portions are extremely generous! So yummy. Ingredients are fresh. I love to get masago and edamame and lotssss of sauce. Also their gyoza is BOMBB, so underrated. I don't know if it's frozen or if they make it themselves but it's one of the best gyozas I've ever had. If you're craving poke, this is the place to be. We have been coming to this restaurant over the past few years and I would say this is our go to poke place. Located in a plaza next to a bunch of corporate buildings may make it a little harder to get to, but once you get there, it is well worth it. There is also plenty of parking within the plaza. We usually get the poke bowl with three scoops of protein. In the past, these poke bowls were prepared in a plastic bowl with all of the ingredients packed together. There was nothing wrong with that, as they were always very generous with their portions. However, I noticed that they now prepare their poke bowls in a box. I'm sure the portions are still the same, but since it's in a box now, it looks like there is a bit more. For my three scoop protein, I got two scoops of salmon and one scoop of spicy tuna with white rice. You can select up to eight sauces and 17 toppings. . For a sauces, I got ponzu, eel, spicy, spicy mayo, sesame mayo, and sesame oil. For toppings, I got cucumber, edamame, imitation crap, seaweed salad, green onions, corn, fried onions, wasabi, jalapeño, shishimi (Japanese chili spice), sesame seed, and furikake (seaweed flakes). My wife got two scoops of salmon and one scoop of spicy Hawaiian tuna with brown rice. The spicy Hawaiian tuna had extra flavor and was very delicious, as it reminded me of the poke from Foodlands in Hawaii. For sauces, my wife got ponzu, eel, as spicy mayo. For toppings, she got cucumber, edamame, imitation crab, ginger, seaweed salad, corn, wasabi, masago (fish eggs), and furikake. As you can tell from both of our orders, you have a lot of options to customize your bowl to your liking. We both enjoyed our bowls very much and we would definitely return! read more

They have a few spot right in front of their storefront and it wasn't hard to find parking since I did come an hour before closing. Walking in, you're greeted with the menu options and prices displayed on the TV right above the counter. Everything is customizable when it comes to your base, fish, toppings, and sauces. I purchased a small (2 scoops of protein), brown rice, regular imitation crab meat, eel sauce and non spicy house sauce. They have a wide range of toppings available and everything tasted very fresh. I hate the fishy taste in poke but this place didn't have that at all. There's a fair amount of fish and the toppings you add can help make you more full! The total for my entire meal was $~17 which is not too bad considering the sizes. Definitely will be coming back! read more

He said they added the 4 scoops of fish that come with the large and surprised him when they still added a little more after. Of course being a sushi lover I've most definitely had high quality salmon (which is what I got), but for the price and the amount you get here, I do still highly recommend this spot right alongside my friend! I came in before the food rush, so I didn't have much time to mentally prepare myself to order cause poki places usually have so many options to pick from and I get overwhelmed. The staff member helping me seemed like he was in a rush to get through my order, but slowed down his pace once he realized I needed to process my options. I ended up doing a medium size poki bowl, which comes with three scoops of protein with half/half of brown rice and salad. I really did wish that they had more spicy options for protein, but ended up getting the salmon, shrimp, and shoyu salmon. The toppings were pretty slim to pick from too, but I ended up asking for spicy mayo, spicy imitation crab, edamame, green onions, pickled radish, ginger, tempura pieces, and fried onion pieces. Then I grabbed a can of Thai tea from their fridge. The food was good and I kind of wished I did two proteins instead since it was a lot of food. I tried Poki Bomb a few times before and gave it another try on a Friday around 5 PM. For parking, there were plenty of spots available in the shared parking lot. Right when I walked through the door, the staff was very friendly. He was very quick with scooping between each section. There was also a handful of scoops where I asked for "slight" and I appreciated that he asked if the amount he added was sufficient each time. I brought my order home to eat and the quality still tasted good. Every ingredient was still fresh. The only thing I didn't like was regarding the container.
