Their sashimi is very fresh. I usually text my order to them and confirm pick up time through message. They even put ice bag on top of the sashimi tray so I don't need to worry about long drive. Great place to get sashimi.

My go-to place for fresh sashimi for years! They have great prices to create your own platter and have a great variety of seafood to choose from. They have your regular salmon, tuna, and yellowtail, but they also have octopus, toro, and scallops. You can place an order in advanced or in person, and they craft beautiful platters for you and your guests! Each fish was so fresh and clean, even my high end sushi lovers were impressed. You can also also uni trays from them and pricing depends on the grade! I believe it was the owner, but he was so nice and HONEST with appropriate portions for guests. 10/10 recommend!

Visited: October 2025. Saturday ~12:00pm Setting: Small fish market. There's only room for a few patrons at a time. Wait Time: None, because I ordered in advance. I arrived ~10-15 minutes past my requested pick up time. My order was ready and they took a moment to package it in a brown paper bag with a bag of ice to keep the sashimi platter cool. Food/Drink: The sashimi was fresh and expertly cut. I ordered this just for myself, but it could've been shared with 1 or 2 others in theory. - Salmon 1 lb ($18.99/lb) - Yellowtail 0.5 lb ($27/lb) - Toro 0.5 lb ($70/lb) Service: I placed my order through their Instagram page. They replied within a few hours of my inquiry and provided a Google Sheet of current prices and clear instructions for how to order. This was on a Wednesday, and I scheduled the pickup for Saturday at 11:30am (their earliest slot). They've really streamlined the ordering process compared to my first few visits 5 years ago. Parking: Easy. The market shares a small parking lot with a few other businesses. There were several spots open when I arrived. Next Time: I'll be back for more of everything. The toro was my favorite.

Making hand rolls with the fresh sashimi!

Been continuing to order fresh sashimi here! The uni that they currently have 2 for $15 is real fresh and definitely worth it. I wish I lived closer but it is always a treat when we order here. Since our cousins introduced it over 6 years ago, we have continued to buy other ingredients to make hand rolls with their fresh sashimi! Can't wait until next time !

This is our go to place for take home sashimi. It is easiest to call in what you will order and pick up on time. They are busy but will come to get your order. One time I went really close to closing and they are not able to take the order.

ordered 1.5 pounds and it was 1 pound 2 oz including the packaging...probably 1 pound without packagaing

Ordered 1.5 pound salmon and they only gave us about 1 pound of fish. Even including the packaging it's not even 1.5 pounds

This place never disappoints! We get platters for at home celebrations and the quality is always amazing! They're very helpful and we've never been disappointed.

I was craving sushi for the longest time, and I decided to get mg fix by having hand rolls at home. I ordered 1 pound of salmon, and a 1/2 pound of hamachi. You can text your order ahead of time, but I went around 3:00 today. There was no in line, and I was able to order fast. The person helped and sliced up the fish super fast. It looked like there was less salmon even though I ordered twice as much salmon. There ended up being some salmon belly in my order which was so fatty and delicious. I asked for wasabi, but they ran out. I did get the pickled ginger for my boyfriend which was a big portion for $1.50. The sign said they charge 75cents for less than $40 order. My total came out to $37, and I was not charged anything extra. Maybe because it was close enough. All in all, this place is great. There's another place I prefer, but this place is still great.

We always come here when we have guest! So we expect to come here once a month now! We love ocean plus fish market! We always order a day before and the fish always taste fresh! The service could be better as my husband picked up my order several times but seemed to always be kept waiting so that they could accommodate others. Otherwise I have no complaints. It's a fish market, it's gonna smell fishy! We love it!

    4 lbs - 1 lb tuna, 1 lb yellowtail, 2 lb salmon for $107
    Annie N.

Wow, what a gem! I was in a pinch on Sunday and was able to call at 11am and pick up a platter at 4:30pm. Not only that, but the fish I got was amazing quality. I'm pretty sure some of the tuna was chutoro fattiness and there was some salmon belly too. I didn't even specify what cuts when calling! Dan was super helpful. Basically, they just slice and present the fish as sashimi. I was able to get 2 lb of salmon, 1 lb of tuna, 1 lb of yellowtail for $107. Check their linked Google sheet for updated prices. This is THE best deal you can get in town in my opinion for sashimi!

    Cindy T.

Ocean Plus is my happy place for fresh fish! I walked in thinking I'd just grab my usual salmon, tuna, and yellowtail... but of course, curiosity got the best of me. While I was waiting, I started asking about other goodies on the list, and the amazing staff member was so friendly and enthusiastic, I couldn't help but say "yes" to more. Next thing I know, I'm walking out with scallops, sea-bream, ikura--and zero regrets. Everything was fresh, delicious, and absolutely worth it. They always have great quality here. Chocolate clams, you're next ...

Great spot to come for cheaper sashimi. I think it's honestly cheaper than big chain supermarkets. It's definitely a no frills spot and you do get what you pay for. You can call ahead and place an order if you have a huge order, I've heard people also message them on instagram. If you are feeding a huge party I would prefer to order from here because of the price point. If you want it for taste, I would recommend the other sashimi place near by known for the Cali rolls. Specifically for the salmon I can taste the difference. Definitely coming here anytime I want a big order or sashimi though, very worth it for the price point.

What's the minimum weight per order of fish and scallops? When do you have abalone and sweet shrimp? Do you fry the shrimp heads?

We've gotten as low as 0.5 lbs, but usually its 1lb minimum. I'd suggest texting them to see when they have abalone and sweet shrimp! As for the shrimp heads, when we got the sweet shrimp, they gave them to use in a separate bag, raw.

Yes, they have everything you might want or expect at the Asian grocery store including live seafood, a fry station, meat station, liquor, "fresh" produce, and normal packaged goods. However, I noticed that their produce is sometimes not as high quality or fresh as other places. Also, the grocery store is really dirty. So just my mind makes me a bit turned off from buying stuff there. On Thursdays they have huge sale and you'll see the elderly Asian people crowding it like it's Black Friday in early 2000s. While the deals are insane, I'm not fighting with people and waiting in line for an hour just to check out. My time is worth more than a few bucks haha. The parking lot is crazy too. These old Asian people are either not afraid of dying or think they are invincible. I would not recommend this place and will not be coming back.

The first Hoa Binh Supermarket I have ever known is the one located on Holt Blvd in Pomona. I…read moredidn't know there is another one of its kind until recently. This one is on Valley Blvd in Rosemead. It looks like they have one more location in Garden Grove. Anyway, my Mom and I came here to look for Auntie Liu's peanuts and to buy some green onions. We didn't find the peanuts, but got the green onions. This Hoa Binh is a little bigger and a lot cleaner and organized than the Pomona location. Produce, meats, and seafood were fresh. Good selections of dry goods and other merchandise available. Staff was okay. Free parking is available. I don't shop at this Hoa Binh much even though I'm usually nearby it on the weekends. There are so many supermarket options in SGV. Hoa Binh is only an option when we're primarily looking for Auntie Liu's peanuts. No photos this time. Will capture them next time. Thanks!
