I'm not a burger person but will have one once in a while. My go to is In N Out, but not a fan of the line. This is new in the neighborhood and we decided to give it a try. The menu is very much like In N Out. Service was good, you can order at the kiosk or with a person. We got cheese burger, double double, and fries. I have to say, the burgers were delicious. It tastes like In N out. I don't do sauce, I let the ingredients and toppings to do their job. It tastes fresh and juicy. They have an added touch of banana peppers, that add some kicks to it. This burger spot is a nice surprise to find in Sierra Madre! Small menu but top notch french fries and delicious cheeseburger. I would've never seen this burger spot if it weren't for my nieces having a theater performance around there. It's located right on Sierra Madre Blvd, so you will need to find street parking. It's a really small shop with a few tables inside and a couple tables outside. The price for a cheeseburger combo was beyond reasonable, cheaper than In N Out. My kids love their burgers and fries too! Every burger order comes with a small bazooka gum under the burger, what nice treat. I really wanted to like this place as I love to support small local businesses but my first trip there I thought the service was very rude and the second trip the girl working behind the counter had like zero service training and didn't even smile so we only stayed as there is a self service kiosk to use Instead of dealing With her. She just stared at people while they fuddled with the self service kiosk instead of offering help or saying "hey let me help you here" she wouldn't even smile and instead just kept looking at her phone. A really big miss since their food is basically a in & out burger copy. I think maybe the owner might had worked for in&out and was trying to copy their success instead of improving on it. The menu is basically a knock off of In & Out simple menu but with the coated type of fries (cheapest type you can buy as they are made from potato scraps and coated to make them uniform) vs fresh cut fries which would be the most expensive to make. If you are a fan of these cheap fries then it might be worth the trip to have your double double With. I am not sure if I would return just based on the service especially since the burger is almost like a double double copy - id just go to in&out that has better service and better quality fries plus shakes, etc. is really consistent. I am not sure why they would want to try copying the double double vs trying to doing something better or at least offer more menu items vs in & out to be different. I was really hoping that my second visit here would really make me like this small business burger joint but I think I'd rather just hit the in & out drive thru. A big miss since they are basically copying in&out and could have really improved on it with small business service that it really lacked. The small dining space inside is also super loud as they have floor tiles on the walls so it doesn't even make it an attractive place to dine inside of and it is very small. read more

Wow. I'm impressed with this burger spot! A cute small burger joint in the heart of Old Town Sierra Madre. You can either order with the kiosk or at the cash register. I ordered the cheeseburger combo. The burger was Delicious!! Soo flavorful and good. It was a good size but I could have most likely devoured a double double as well! The fries were nice and crispy! The restaurant has plenty of parking in the public lot in the back. Upon entering we didn't see staff but did see a kiosk so thought it was one of those computerized restaurants. I proceeded to order on the kiosk then my friend saw someone and ordered at the counter so it seems you can order either way. We tried a cheeseburger and a double hamburger. You can customize to your liking removing or adding various condiments and vegetables. We also ordered fries. The burgers were good but I don't think anything special. Cozy & casual burger spot in downtown Sierra Madre. Walk up and order, kiosk for self ordering is available if you're not in the mood to chat with people in real life (we've all been there right?) The staff were all very friendly and even hand delivered the burger I ordered to go, while my son and I enjoyed our meal at an inside table. We devoured our food! I had a hamburger and he had a double with grilled onions and we both had fries. Yes the food is similar to In n' Out and that's not a bad thing! The bubble gum tucked into our trays was a fun surprise. My only note is that there's just one menu posted and it's at the register. Having another one posted on the wall somewhere would be helpful. This is a true neighborhood spot where all the locals come for their burger fix. It's a busy area, and the only parking is street, so good luck during lunch time. Ordered the following: - Double burger with cheese - 6.5/10: It's pretty basic to be quite honest. You're not going to get anything exotic or glamorous here. It's your traditional American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and patties dressed up in a Thousand Island spread. Patties are on the thin and smaller size as well. Don't expect too much other than your traditional, yet solid burger. - Fries - 9/10: Now this is what you came for. This isn't just your side dish; this is the main event. I think these are twice-fried Belgian style: Super crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Probably the best fries in these parts. - Chocolate chip cookie - 8/10: definitely store-made. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is nonexistent. Street parking only. Super easy to find street parking here. Food: I ordered a double burger. The two hamburger patties were succulent, juicy, and full of flavors. The bun was well buttered and toasted. The onion, lettuce, and tomatoes were fresh. I like my onions raw, but you have the option to get them grilled too. I'm just not a fan of grilled onions on my burger. Thankfully they don't include pickles because I hate them lol. I also ordered a side of fries. The fries were super hot, crispy, tasty, and lightly salted. I regret not ordering a second portion of the fries. They were soooooo delicious. And for dessert, I got myself a churro. The outside of the churro was delightfully crispy and golden brown. The inside of the churro was a warm, soft, and airy interior. The churro itself was very light and airy. It wasn't dense or chewy. It was sweet and warm. The dusting of cinnamon sugar was perfect. I love that the churros here are freshly made to order. It ensures that warm, sweet, tender, and straight from the fryer quality. I love that they include a bubble gum for each order so that you can get the gross onion smell out of your mouth after eating your burger. Staff: The staff here are very kind, friendly, and courteous. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. I spoke to the owner of the establishment. He said his pizza restaurant in Pasadena burned down in January during the Eaton Canyon fire, so he only has this establishment right now. Poor guy. People, go eat at this place and support him. We loved the food and the fries were so good, but we have come 2 times since then, all during listed business hours, and both times the stores have been shut down. Great new burger spot in the SGV - currently in their soft opening with a limited menu - but the burgers are fantastic and their fries fabulous! Staff were all super friendly and welcoming, location is flawless and their prices can't be beat. Their menu is currently limited to single or double burger (with or without cheese) and fries. They also have churros now and their social media accounts state they'll be adding more items as their opening progresses. We tried a single and double cheeseburger and some fries and loved it all! Their burgers are delicious- definitely on par with (or maybe even better than) In-and-Out. The meat is soft with a lovely savory grilled flavor - seemed very fresh and high quality. Their veggies were fresh and crisp and grilled onions a nice touch. The buns were soft but supple and perfectly toasted - they held up well even with all the sauce. They offer the option of grilled or raw onions and the grilled onions were lovely - perfect amount and not overwhelming. They use American cheese and it was delicious. Their fries have an excellent texture - soft and velvety on the inside with a perfectly crisp outer crust - not too salty either. I'd love to see them offer an option with Cajun spices or chili cheese - they'd be fantastic! We didn't get drinks only bc we primarily drink just water - so we got water cups and they have that awesome crushed ice like sonic style! And they give you pieces of retro Bazooka gum with your order - a fun throwback to childhood and a nice touch. The shop is right in the thick of the action in cute downtown Sierra Madre - it's super clean and relaxed with large windows great for people watching. Parking is all street parking in the area and is free and usually pretty ample depending on day/time. The prices were incredibly reasonable- especially given the quality and generous portions. The staff were so nice and friendly locals flooded in during our meal - definitely seems to be a new fave spot. Probably the best fries in the SGV! Perfectly crispy, but still has that potato in the middle. They also make their pink lemonade in house, which is a huge plus.
