View of the horses from the tables.

Food , price, and views are amazing! The portions are big and the price is unbelievable low. Service is okay the cashier was very stern and wanted us to order in a quick manne but she was not rude. Don't expect anything fancy, its outdoor sitting the tables are very dirty due to the dust from the track so bring something to clean them. Overall a great place to take kids so they can look at the horses. It is a bit tricky to find the place.

Great spot for breakfast with a view! Small menu but large burrito with tasty hash browns. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a great place to hang out for breakfast. Free parking, and you can watch the horses as they warm up. Free coffee before 8am. Overall this is a fun place to swing by for a quick bite and a beautiful view!

Free coffee (before 8am). Friendly service. Good classic breakfast offerings. Always a jaw dropping panoramic view of the sun rising on the San Gabriel mountains. Horses training right in front of you. 2 of us with a really big tip ($5 tip on a $14 bill) eat breakfast for under $20. Clocker's Corner is a little hard to find with the construction right now, but it's worth it.

Fun, very casual place to eat and watch the horses warm up. Even though it's just a counter, make reservations if you bring a big group.

This is the best place for breakfast! Watching the horses workout while enjoying my bacon and eggs is my favorite way to start a great day. Their oatmeal is fantastic too.

I heard about Clocker's Corner from an old co-worker years ago. I didn't think it was possible to eat at the racetrack and watch the horses train at the same time. I came here with my friend who is in Veterinarian school and we both had so much fun! I would definitely do it again. Environment - parking m may be difficult and confusing if it's your first time. Do not park in the big parking lot because there's a smaller parking lot located next to Clocker's that you can use. The restaurant is located outdoors and it's your typical stadium food with plastic tables and chairs to sit at. So don't expect anything too fancy!! You're here for the experience only. There are some tables with sun umbrellas attached but some don't. So if you want a good seat with shade at a table, come early! This place opens at 5am in the morning. If you come late and you still want shade, you can totally sit on the bleachers with no table. I saw some dude with a laptop just chillin and drinking coffee while watching the horses haha Service - quick and sufficient. Nothing to complain about. You can get your own ketchup, salt/peppers and napkins by yourself. If you happen to not finish your food, like me, they can give you aluminum foil to take your food home. Food - like everyone else says, the food here is mediocre. I got a Denver omelette and it was really oily. The hash browns that it came with was really dry and burnt. I ate everything regardless. Just enjoy the view. Although I am a big foodie... I wouldn't come here for the food. I would come here at 6am in the morning to watch the jockies train with their horses and just have fun!

Ask the Community - Clocker's Corner

    Is it dog friendly?

Yes dogs are welcome. Please be sure they have a proper leash as there will be other dogs there. It’s often chilly so perhaps a dog coat might be de rigeur.

Is there a covered area to eat if it rains besides umbrellas?

Not outside, but you can walk into the building 500 ft away. There are standing rails to eat at and some chairs and tables.

    Is it kid friendly?

For breakfast it was super kid friendly.

I am not usually the biggest fan of bbq(a lot of bbq sauces aren't it for me)... but I LOVE Jake's, the secret is in the sauce!! It's sweet and tangy in the perfect way and ends up with a smoky flavor from when they cook it as well. I looooove the huge beef ribs here, and the chicken is pretty good too. I've also tried the baby back ribs, which my family loves but I'm more of a beef kinda gal. Haven't tried much else on the menu because I just love the beef ribs so much tbh. The fries and salad are good, some other sides kinda feel like an afterthought, but the sides aren't the highlight here. I like the "roadside" nostalgic vibe inside, and the staff are nice. Some of the staff have been there for a long time and know a lot of the customers. The bbq pork ribs were very meaty they so good then bbq beef ribs they were meaty too with good flavor. I've worked in brunch restaurants for years, so I genuinely appreciate the concept--but the service I experienced today just wasn't it. We came in during the lunch-to-dinner transition and waited about 15 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a big deal. The issue started with our server, Maria. From the beginning, she seemed impatient. When I ordered my drink and then turned to my friend to ask what he wanted, she looked like she was about to walk away, which rushed him into ordering before he was ready. Our drinks came out quickly, but she never brought the water I asked for. I didn't realize until after she walked away again when we had asked for another minute to look at the menu. When she came back to take our order, the same thing happened. I ordered, then my friend started to--but I paused to ask him if he wanted to split an appetizer. While he was answering me, Maria again seemed like she was ready to walk away, as if we weren't moving fast enough. I asked for water a second time. The restaurant wasn't busy--no one on the patio and maybe four tables inside--so it felt unnecessary to be rushed like that. Also, as someone with experience in the industry, it would've been nice if she had asked whether we wanted the appetizer to come out with the entrée. Serving food at completely different times for two people at the same table isn't great service. My friend got his food first, and my burger came about five minutes later. Still no water--so I asked the expo, and Maria finally brought it, but with noticeable attitude. ( My friend had made a comment to me "did you sleep with her boyfriend or something?") Based off of how noticable her attitude was towards me. A few minutes into eating, I realized my fries weren't the Parmesan fries I ordered--just plain fries. Not a huge deal, but I had been looking forward to them, so I asked to have it fixed. When I told the expo, she grabbed my plate and rolled her eyes as she walked away. By that point, it was around 4pm, and I had already been feeling sick all morning with stomach pain. I just wanted to enjoy a good meal and spend time with a friend, but after dealing with repeated attitude and poor service, I was ready to go home. Honestly, after 20 years in food service, this isn't the kind of experience I would ever want associated with a place I worked at. If you don't want to work there DONT! Plenty of other people in the city of Azusa they could hire.
