Perfect for a date night or a relaxed night out. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. They've got a solid drink program through Longitude 118 (full bar), so plenty of good options to pair with your meal. Food-wise: The charcuterie board was a highlight--nice variety of cheeses, nuts, olives, bread, and a really good fig jam. The chicken sandwich was solid and flavorful. The wagyu burger was just okay--fresh ingredients, but a bit overcooked for my taste (I prefer it juicy). Parking is valet only, but it's validated for 3 hours, which helps. Located inside the Le Meridien in Arcadia, Melange is not just a hotel restaurant, it is a luxury style dining with a modern take on classics such as shrimps with walnuts and is worth every luxurious bite. We were in a group of 7 which included 2 kids and we ordered shareables along with main entrees in a family style setting so that we could try as many dishes as we could. For the adults, we had the 2 orders of a charcuterie board, a Caesar salad, walnut shrimp, seared scallops, rib eye steak, salmon atop quinoa, and chicken with paprika. Everything was exquisite, we ate every morsel not just because we were hungry, but because the flavors were so rich and tasty, we couldn't leave anything behind. The walnut shrimp was so good that I even used the butter lettuce as a lettuce wrap for the walnut shrimp and it was delicious. I also had the non-alcoholic cucumber mango mule and it provided the well attuned palate to these dishes and it did not overpower the existing flavors in my mouth. I was impressed that a hotel restaurant could be a stand alone, not needing the hotel to promote this restaurant, it is good to try even if you aren't a hotel guest. So if you are near Santa Anita racetrack or the Santa Anita mall, then check your car into the valet and make a right, there you will find Melange and have a meal that is c'est magnifique! read more

Afternoon tea is inside the Le Méridien hotel. Go to the restaurant and check in there. We got seated across from the restaurant next to the bar where the lounge chairs are with high ceiling glass windows to see outside. The decor is new and fancy. The height of the table and the couch were a little off. Next time I will request to sit in the normal table versus the couch. But definitely an experience if you are here to socialize and catch up with your friends or family. The experience starts with either a champagne or a lemonade. We opted for the lemonade option. Refreshing but nothing to write home about. The tower consists of various pastries again, nothing to write home about. Wish there were more delicate desserts as you work your way up. The service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive, as well as knowledgeable of the tease. It was our anniversary celebration and my boyfriend picked a night stay at ale Meridian. We had both dinner and breakfast here. The ambience was very posh and contemporary. It has a very relaxing and upscale vibe. The service was superb. Our server, Andrew was very attentive. He brought us some Champaign to cheer for our anniversary. The food is amazing. We ordered the scallop and I have the sea bass the whole dish. Both dishes were very nicely done. We also ordered the mushroom with asparagus which compliments our entree. For dessert, we had the chocolate lava cake, a perfect finish for the meal. We had a wonderful experience. The next morning, we decided to have breakfast here as well. My family went here for breakfast. It's located inside the Le Meridien Pasadena Arcadia Hotel. You have to Valet your car, but it's free validation for the first 3 hours if you're going to the restaurant. Honestly, the prices were pretty steep for what the food actually was. They did have some unique items like the Yuzu pancakes; however, for the price, I would pass on coming here for breakfast. Food: -b.t.l.a sandwich 4.5/5 ($24) The bacon was amazingly crispy and the levain bread was delicious and toasted. I was very pleased with the sandwich overall; however, I wished it had more flavor. Or maybe if the bacon was caramelized -- it would've made the sandwich a 5/5 for me. The fries were also extremely crispy and well salted. My entire family liked the fries. -chicken karaage and waffles 5/5 ($24) This dish came with Belgian waffles and Japanese fried chicken. The fried chicken itself wasn't too oily and well-seasoned. The waffles were also airy, and delicious. I would definitely recommend, it's just a little pricey for what it was. -signature traditional Japanese breakfast 3/5 ($28) The Japanese traditional breakfast came with rice, a small bowl of miso soup, a small piece of grilled salmon, and assorted pickles. The piece of salmon smelled incredibly fishy. I could unfortunately smell the salmon from across the round table that fit 8 of us. The portions of everything were also very small. This was definitely not worth the price. 3 of us got it and they all described the breakfast as "okay" and not worth the price they paid. TLDR: I would rate this place a 3.5/5. It's a breakfast spot inside a hotel so the prices are super steep, and you have to Valet your car. Sure-- the Valet itself is free, but you should still tip. Weren't a guest here but just wanted to try this brunch place at Le Meredien Hotel. We ordered the Traditional Japanese Breakfast and it the salmon was delicious, perfectly seared in the outside. I been to Melange 3 different times and each one was a good experience. I came to support a non profit event that my sister volunteers for and Melange donated space for the event. I came another time with my husband just to have some drinks at the bar and Stefan (I hope I got that right) was an amazing bartender. This past week I went for a wine tasting event. I met some really cool people. The menu and wine pairings were amazing. I'm looking forward to going to another event. Seems like a good way to make friends as an adult! Had higher expectations. Food was very mid. My cousin and I came on our birthday to celebrate together. We wanted to do high tea, not realizing we needed to call in 24 hrs. in advance to arrange it. Got the mini sandwich trio. Not worth the calories...bland attempt at poke stuffed in a small bread roll, what tasted like a frozen shrimp tempura and shredded cabbage stuffed into a roll , and a bland egg salad stuffed into a roll. My cousin got the bagel and lox and it was fine. The restaurant itself is inside a hotel, near the lobby and it was beautiful but we were constantly attacked by little fruit flies , they kept landing in our food. By the end of the meal I had grown tired of battling bugs, and had thrown away one of the sandwich trios because the flies kept landing in it and one got stuck... We were famished from all the waiting and started eating pronto. The savory items were NOT delicate, NOR delectable. They are supposed to be finger foods, but what was served was not well done nor high quality at all. Next the sweets: I think they just purchased these items from Trader Joes instead of making them in house. The scones are a joke. All things considered, this kind of service and food quality speaks to extremely bad management. For $550.00/ 5.5 persons, it was not even worth $55.00. I have had High Teas at the Ritz Carlton, at the Langham, at the Huntington Library, in downtown Pasadena and Melange cannot even hold a candle to any of them. I stayed in the hotel for a number of nights and really wanted to make this my go-to restaurant. But it was so inconsistent that I just couldn't justify the cost to myself. Breakfast: - The standard "American-style" breakfast is fine. It's just that it isn't better than an included breakfast at lower-tier Marriott property. Cute little Bonne Mama jam jars should probably not be the highlight, right? BTW, subbing tofu (featured in the Japanese breakfast) is a sadly bad idea. Much better than the above. - English muffin (both times): In general - but especially if you're going to charge me $6 for a single split muffin - please have the decency to serve it to me warm. The butter was not refrigerator-cold and. yet it did not melt a bit. I had to ask them to warm it... and then it was hard, but I just couldn't be bothered again. Lunch: Ahi salad. That tuna is cut so thin to make it around the bowl that you can almost see through it! Dinner: The ube cheesecake is the highlight. The rack of lamb was cooked and presented nicely. But the potato side was terrible. It just about spoke to me and said, "I am the leftover from a big conference dinner." Too bad it brought down the delight level of the dish. SLOW and NO SMILE! We stayed at the hotel for an entire week last week. Unfortunately, we experienced some challenges with the restaurant service. The host was quite slow and seemed unapproachable, with no smile or welcoming attitude. every morning I waited over 10 minutes before anyone came to assist with my to-go order. Additionally, I observed a few couples leave early due to the long wait and lack of greeting or acknowledgment, and there was no line. And they don't answer phone calls, it was very difficult to get a hold of them. At one point, the host rolled her eyes and shook her head when she saw 3 guests walk directly to their friend's table without her assistance. Located inside the beautiful Le Meridian, the brunch couches at elegant and stylish. The service was almost as impeccable as the atmosphere, with a very nice server who just didn't come around often enough after all the food arrived when I needed extra napkins (my phone was sticky) or to get the check, but good thing we did have plenty of time that afternoon. The food presentation was a work of art; each dish showcased with intricate designs and vibrant colors. The afternoon tea selection from mooncakes to seasonal pastries were pretty, but majority are misses in taste. The crudo, lobster rolls, charcuterie, and chicken and waffles were all stunning but did not blow my mind in taste. They were better than the afternoon tea treats, just not super special besides being very grammable. I think the aromatic teas to the pancake, butterscotch pudding, matcha cake pastries really take the cake and redeems the taste department. I still had a nice time from ambiance and having quality time with a good friend. We did order a whole spread and I spent about $400 for everything, just know you're mostly paying for aesthetics. Enough to get you full and happy but won't overload you . Our server Rachel was exceptionally awesome with a really good sense of humor. I could not ask for a better person. We brought my parents here for a quiet dinner to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. After waiting at the host table for over 10 minutes without a person in sight, we flagged down the bartender in the lobby bar to help us. There was only one other table with about 6 adults and 4 children at the back of the restaurant. For the ENTIRE meal, those kids yelled, screamed, jumped up and down on the seats and made SO much noise, we literally couldn't hear each other, even though out table was clear across the room. We asked several people working there to PLEASE ask them to quiet down to no avail. Nothing was done to quiet the kids, nothing was done to make up for this DISASTER of a VERY expensive meal. The setting is very nice because it's a nice new hotel, not many people there at all, but I guess I can see why. The tea selection is standard...but the food was so disappointing l! For $80 you would expect some house made scones, instead we got some flat, cold store bought scones, not fluffy or flavorful. The savory dishes were soy sauce chicken, lamb chops and yellowtail- weird assortment. They were not warm and on the drier side like they had been prepared and reheated from the night before. I didn't care for any of the desserts! There were overly sweet like supermarket package desserts, nothing tasted fresh and handmade. I guess they were going for Asian fusion tea but it fell short, there's so many great Asian bakeries around the area they could've gotten the desserts from... Sadly would NOT recommend this place at all! Would rather go to an Asian bakery and tea shop to buy and make my own high tea. read more

It's beautiful inside with beautiful decor but the service is horrible. We were the only table in the restaurant at 12:45 on a Saturday and we waited over twenty minutes for two cocktails. We ordered an appetizer that we would have loved to enjoy before our meal but they brought out with the food. All the employees except the man in front were semi rude and we sat without anyone checking on us for long periods of time. Hidden gem in 626 A rarity to find fine dining in 626. Melange is after this market with its high ceiling decor and restaurant and bar. I came to try their Easter prix fixe menu. Great service met with high quality dishes. Their chef is Japanese and the Japanese influence can be seen in the dishes. Each dish was beautifully plated and aesthetically pleasing. Can taste their quality. The Easter event had a photo booth and Easter Bunny/egg hunt. We came too late for the egg hunt but managed to get some pics with the Easter bunny. Cherry on top was running into Mr. Terry Crews. As for the decor, I absolutely loved the layout of the entire hotel lobby. Great full bar with a nice outdoor area. I was pleasantly surprised as it doesn't feel like I'm in 626 at all. Their designer did a great job with the landscaping.
