Located inside the Le Meridien in Arcadia, Melange is not just a hotel restaurant, it is a luxury style dining with a modern take on classics such as shrimps with walnuts and is worth every luxurious bite. We were in a group of 7 which included 2 kids and we ordered shareables along with main entrees in a family style setting so that we could try as many dishes as we could. For the adults, we had the 2 orders of a charcuterie board, a Caesar salad, walnut shrimp, seared scallops, rib eye steak, salmon atop quinoa, and chicken with paprika. Everything was exquisite, we ate every morsel not just because we were hungry, but because the flavors were so rich and tasty, we couldn't leave anything behind. The walnut shrimp was so good that I even used the butter lettuce as a lettuce wrap for the walnut shrimp and it was delicious. I also had the non-alcoholic cucumber mango mule and it provided the well attuned palate to these dishes and it did not overpower the existing flavors in my mouth. I was impressed that a hotel restaurant could be a stand alone, not needing the hotel to promote this restaurant, it is good to try even if you aren't a hotel guest. So if you are near Santa Anita racetrack or the Santa Anita mall, then check your car into the valet and make a right, there you will find Melange and have a meal that is c'est magnifique!

Melange is located inside of the Le Meridien. I've been here a couple of times and the experience was good. They offer brunch on the weekend. FOOD The sandwich trio was pretty good. You get three mini sandwiches that are pretty unique. The lobster egg salad one was the best. The fried shrimp itself was good but felt like excessive carbs in sandwich form. The poke sandwich was good as well. The bread they use works really well for sandwiches. I like how it usually isn't super crowded. SERVICE Good PARKING Valet. 3 hrs covered with validation at Melange. If you don't using the valet, this may not be a good place to visit.

It was our anniversary celebration and my boyfriend picked a night stay at ale Meridian. We had both dinner and breakfast here. The ambience was very posh and contemporary. It has a very relaxing and upscale vibe. The service was superb. Our server, Andrew was very attentive. He brought us some Champaign to cheer for our anniversary. The food is amazing. We ordered the scallop and I have the sea bass the whole dish. Both dishes were very nicely done. We also ordered the mushroom with asparagus which compliments our entree. For dessert, we had the chocolate lava cake, a perfect finish for the meal. We had a wonderful experience. The next morning, we decided to have breakfast here as well. We both ordered the egg Benedict. The breakfast was very good. The Illy coffee was superb. We also happened to have Andrew as my server. Wonderful experience. I hope we come back for our next anniversary.

Afternoon tea is inside the Le Méridien hotel. Go to the restaurant and check in there. We got seated across from the restaurant next to the bar where the lounge chairs are with high ceiling glass windows to see outside. The decor is new and fancy. The height of the table and the couch were a little off. Next time I will request to sit in the normal table versus the couch. But definitely an experience if you are here to socialize and catch up with your friends or family. The experience starts with either a champagne or a lemonade. We opted for the lemonade option. Refreshing but nothing to write home about. The tower consists of various pastries again, nothing to write home about. Wish there were more delicate desserts as you work your way up. The service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive, as well as knowledgeable of the tease. Gave us various options and recommendations even to change the pot if we would prefer a different flavor. Good place to come to catch up.

B.t.l.a $24. The bacon was super crispy. Everyone loved the well seasoned fries.

My family went here for breakfast. It's located inside the Le Meridien Pasadena Arcadia Hotel. You have to Valet your car, but it's free validation for the first 3 hours if you're going to the restaurant. Honestly, the prices were pretty steep for what the food actually was. They did have some unique items like the Yuzu pancakes; however, for the price, I would pass on coming here for breakfast. Food: -b.t.l.a sandwich 4.5/5 ($24) The bacon was amazingly crispy and the levain bread was delicious and toasted. I was very pleased with the sandwich overall; however, I wished it had more flavor. Or maybe if the bacon was caramelized -- it would've made the sandwich a 5/5 for me. The fries were also extremely crispy and well salted. My entire family liked the fries. -chicken karaage and waffles 5/5 ($24) This dish came with Belgian waffles and Japanese fried chicken. The fried chicken itself wasn't too oily and well-seasoned. The waffles were also airy, and delicious. I would definitely recommend, it's just a little pricey for what it was. -signature traditional Japanese breakfast 3/5 ($28) The Japanese traditional breakfast came with rice, a small bowl of miso soup, a small piece of grilled salmon, and assorted pickles. The piece of salmon smelled incredibly fishy. I could unfortunately smell the salmon from across the round table that fit 8 of us. The portions of everything were also very small. This was definitely not worth the price. 3 of us got it and they all described the breakfast as "okay" and not worth the price they paid. TLDR: I would rate this place a 3.5/5. It's a breakfast spot inside a hotel so the prices are super steep, and you have to Valet your car. Sure-- the Valet itself is free, but you should still tip. The food here is pretty good overall but it's definitely not worth the price.

We came at 11am on a Sunday and maybe 7-10 tables full. Servers were at times fast and at times slower; they checked in on us maybe a handful of times. The drinks were were tasty and the food was good. I had the mini Japanese sandwiches and although it looked like the bread was thick and hard - it wasn't! It almost was smoky inside but in a good way. My favorite was the lobster and egg salad honestly because the egg salad was so fantastic. Parking: there's mandatory valet at the hotel. However, they validate up to 3 hrs. If you choose to park your own car, it's across the street. Overall, a gorgeous hotel and restaurant - would recommend.

Weren't a guest here but just wanted to try this brunch place at Le Meredien Hotel. We ordered the Traditional Japanese Breakfast and it the salmon was delicious, perfectly seared in the outside. The small dishes were good not overpowering flavors just mildly subtle. Atmosphere was excellent with attentive staff and service. The Yuzu Ricotta pancakes were pretty standard. Nothing out of this world. Overall, this is a nice restaurant in a very nice hotel.

I been to Melange 3 different times and each one was a good experience. I came to support a non profit event that my sister volunteers for and Melange donated space for the event. I came another time with my husband just to have some drinks at the bar and Stefan (I hope I got that right) was an amazing bartender. This past week I went for a wine tasting event. I met some really cool people. The menu and wine pairings were amazing. I'm looking forward to going to another event. Seems like a good way to make friends as an adult! Also, the restaurant manager, Erik, was so attentive during this event and made sure all the guests were having a great time. Great staff all around, Thank you melange!

My first time at Melange. I was attending an event and stumbled across this inviting restaurant within the hotel. The atmosphere was very welcoming, restaurant and bar area were nicely decorated, and clean. Menu had a variety of food and staff were very attentive and friendly. I had a few questions on suggestions from the menu and Erik helped pick the perfect dishes to start me off. I especially loved the sweet shrimp! A great spot to wind down, work on your tablet, or to just enjoy a delicious meal.

Seared tuna salad. The tuna portion is nearly thin enough to see through! LOL

I stayed in the hotel for a number of nights and really wanted to make this my go-to restaurant. But it was so inconsistent that I just couldn't justify the cost to myself. Breakfast: - The standard "American-style" breakfast is fine. It's just that it isn't better than an included breakfast at lower-tier Marriott property. Cute little Bonne Mama jam jars should probably not be the highlight, right? BTW, subbing tofu (featured in the Japanese breakfast) is a sadly bad idea. I just comes cold, unevenly cut, and plopped in a bowl. Gee thanks. - The Japanese-style breakfast is your week's salt intake in a meal. But! Much better than the above. - English muffin (both times): In general - but especially if you're going to charge me $6 for a single split muffin - please have the decency to serve it to me warm. The butter was not refrigerator-cold and. yet it did not melt a bit. I had to ask them to warm it... and then it was hard, but I just couldn't be bothered again. Lunch: Ahi salad. That tuna is cut so thin to make it around the bowl that you can almost see through it! Dinner: The ube cheesecake is the highlight. The rack of lamb was cooked and presented nicely. But the potato side was terrible. It just about spoke to me and said, "I am the leftover from a big conference dinner." Too bad it brought down the delight level of the dish. Waitstaff: I love this hotel in general. They are amazing people. But, the waitstaff of the restaurant is really checked out. There is a difference between allowing people space to enjoy and being neglectful. 100% neglectful. No thanks.

I are at melange again and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I went with the servers recommendation for chicken au jous. It was amazing. Cooked perfectly! The flavors were balanced. I woke up the next day still thinking about the meal and I'm not really a lover of chicken. Well done!

The food was delicious! We were staying at the hotel to celebrate my last day of medical school and becoming a doctor of medicine. Came out of our room to have dinner and it was delicious!! Aide was our server and she provided top notch service! She was kind, attentive and explained the menu well and answered any questions we had. I appreciate people that treat you like a human ! I'm thankful for the experience and good customer service!

    Mini Japanese Sandwich Trio

Great ambience in the Le Meridian hotel. Parking is unfortunately only Valet; can consider parking streets or nearby neighborhood/park Came for brunch and they had a lot of great options- had Asian inspired dishes (mainly Japanese). Their food was good overall and did not disappoint. Their yuzu ricotta pancakes were fluffy and flavorful. We liked their Croque madame was okay. We did like their Japanese sandwich trio, which was our favorite of the three. A little pricey though but given location it's fair. Our service stood out. I feel like for special events/birthdays, a lot of places forget the simple courtesies and kindness, and our waitress made sure my wife felt special for her birthday. Service was 10/10, and with nice ambience, and solid food. Would come back

We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars. They have a very good sized cocktail and food menu, as well as many beers on tap. They also have happy hour specials. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.
