Always a pleasant place to go for a quiet dinner with the kids. Vanessa our server is very accommodating to the kids and also Chef Phil of course. Chicken Karaage is a must have for my little one and the older one loves the sushi especially the salmon hand roll. Ambiance is modern and exceptional. My go to orders are garlic noodles, steak fried rice, edamame, seaweed salad, yellowtail Serrano shooter, spicy tuna crispy rice, and much more. The restaurant will soon be expanding I heard !!

I went at around 330 during the week sat outside ! It's nice service was good I had a spicy pineapple margarita that was off the charts it's quiet and chill and if you're looking to lounge and enjoy a nice paced day go here had a hand roll as well as the fire cracker roll so good !! Everything is top tier

Came by for lunch and sat outside because it was a beautiful day. Service was pretty good at first but then the girl disappeared after a while and we had to go inside to find her when we were ready to order. I ordered the yakisoba garlic noodles while hubby ordered 2 hand rolls. The noodles were surprising because I thought yakisoba is supposed to be dry but my noodles were pretty wet. Also couldn't taste much garlic taste and it was kinda too salty. Probably would not come again though.

We actually intended to watch the Dodger game at the Mexican Restaurant, but did not find a place to park, so wandered west on Sierra Madre to find this relatively new restaurant hidden along the Boulevard. The location has been several different restaurants over the years, but the location has never been fully packed when we drive by. The food is good, but while we dined there, it seems the rice was a little to hard and was not what I was expecting. The California Rolls were rather small and really did not represent what I'm accustomed to. Also, the salmon sauce was a bit too spicy for being Japanese cuisine/fusion, and should probably try to be less spicy. I would consider the restaurant more fusion than traditional Japanese faire, but would not necessarily come back for the food.

    Chicken teriyaki with broccolini

We arrived and were warmly greeted by Vanessa, who was incredibly friendly and immediately engaged with our 6-year-old son--making him feel confident and independent as he helped get us our table and even ordered his own meal. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio and couldn't have asked for better weather. The space was well lit, creating a relaxed and inviting ambiance that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. My husband ordered the root beer cocktail, which he described as smooth, creamy, and wonderfully unique. He also had the karaage chicken sandwich, served on a light and delicious brioche bun with crunchy coleslaw, pickles, and perfectly crisp tempura fries. Our son loved his chicken teriyaki, which was juicy and full of flavor. The broccolini on the side was sautéed just right with garlic--simple yet delicious. I had the Firecracker Roll, which was beautifully plated and tasted incredibly fresh. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent service, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding food.

The food was fantastic, and very well priced. Not the biggest a portions, but each plate was unique in the best way. The service was awesome, and since it's Sierra Madre, the environment is amazing. Highly recommend! Also they allow dogs!

Spicy Pineapple Margarita, salmon skin handroll, and yellowtail poke handroll

This is a really cute restaurant in downtown Sierra Made. When I where the restaurant, I was greeted by the server. The restaurant was empty with another table seated in the patio area. It was late on a Sunday evening, so it wasn't busy. The menu is a bit limited. I ordered the spicy pineapple& pomegranate margarita. That was pretty good I had the salmon skin handroll and the yellowtail poke handroll. The salmon skin was very crispy and tasty. Both were delicious. I was thinking about ordering another salmon skin handroll, but decided to have dessert instead. I ordered the miso vanilla bean creme brulee and that had the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The server was very nice and came back to check-up on me often. I would definitely come back just for the salmon skin handroll and the yellowtail poke handroll.

Friendly service, nice decor, good food, private parking lot in the back. Came here on a week night, it wasn't crowded. We enjoyed our food: Miso glazed black cod was tender and flavorful, but it was smaller than I expected, it came with broccoli, rice, pickled cucumber & miso soup. My friend enjoyed the sesame salad with salmon, this entree had generous portions of salad and fish. Although the food was good, I thought it was a little overpriced for what you get. One side of the restaurant was nicely decorated, and the other side had stacks of cardboard boxes, which I thought was a little strange. We came for my friend's birthday and was hoping to order dessert, but they didn't have any dessert that day even though it was on the menu.

I was craving salmon sashimi, which is my favorite dish at sushi restaurants. I've gotten lunch to go here once. I wanted to give it another try and got disappointed again. Not sure about their portion size, but the spicy garlic edamame is less than other restaurants. The salmon sashimi, lacked of the truffle flavor but more ponzu. For the price point, I would have gotten delivery from another sushi place.

This has a very cute side patio. The food was delicious. We order the spicy edamame and karaage chicken. It was very tasty. The cut rolls were very flavorful and tasted so fresh. For dessert we shared the miso creme brulee and I wish we hadn't. I should have gotten one for myself. This was the best creme brulee I've ever had. I would just go back just for that. The service was very slow but the women was by herself I believe I didnt see anyone else. However, we didn't mind cause we didn't feel rushed. The food was well worth the wait. The waitress was very nice and cheerful.

Prime rib is so good. The miso cod and hand roll are also good. The cocktails are great. I will definitely come back.

Came here for dinner with my family. We've been eyeing this place for some time now as we are usually in the area often. Let me say that the restaurant was not very welcoming or friendly. The waiter gave us minimal interaction. We had to flag him down to order and for the check. For some reason, the restaurant was extremely warm inside too. The food was nothing special. The Kids Bento was really sad - it doesnt even come with rice. The cucumber roll was all soggy because the soy sauce spilled over to it. We also got the garlic noodles which was tiny and for some reason served on a hot stone bowl. The miso cod was okay - nothing to rave about. Overall - not impressed. Service was lacking and food was average at best.

It proved more difficult when dealing with the owner Scott. I'll start by saying the end result was us rescheduling at the same rate that we booked & our event went well, however it wasn't without hiccups. When rescheduling, we were specifically instructed by Scott to cancel our booking in Peerspace & rebook the new date. That's when issues started. Before cancelling I mentioned how Peerspace won't refund our full amount & Scott replied that whatever isn't refunded will be credited toward the new date. That didn't happen without us constantly reaching out via text, email, & Peerspace. When you request a date on Peerspace it's pending review/approval from Blush, however it charges you immediately. Since we opted for the payment plan that required about half down & remainder later, we were waiting on our refund to book the new date. It never came. When we were finally able to have a phone call with Scott, I couldn't get one word in the entire time he was mansplaining the world of business. He was very patronizing & I swallowed my pride because we just wanted a resolve & to not lose the deposit. I asked very clearly whether he was going to uphold our agreement. He did, but under the condition that we pay the remainder of our balance upfront in good faith to them. We did & that was that. Thereafter, it was back & forth whether Chris would still be working our event which Scott said he was. Chris was the saving grace of Blush in our opinion. Customer service & how you treat people is king, so it put our hearts at ease. But not for long, since it was changed later to Jin. Getting Jin to respond was difficult. We requested a final walk through with our coordinator about a month before our event. Jin told us he wasn't feeling well & wasn't present for most of the walk through. So we asked questions via email instead. I specifically mentioned a clean facility is important to us. The place just wasn't as polished as we first saw it. He was responsive only after I'd send text follow ups. The week of, not at all. I was waiting on confirmation about our drink selection which I never got & we just hoped it would all work out the day of. Day of our coordinator arrived first. The bathrooms were clean but the bar, cocktail tables, mirror hallway, & front door were full of fingerprints and sticky as if not cleaned from a previous event. We were told there would be 2 staff & that they'd be able to help us move cocktail tables. We weren't aware one of those people would be Jin & he wasn't helpful at all. He completely ignored our coordinator & aunt, but jumped to help our DJ with the sound system. We can only conclude it's because our DJ is a man & as a same sex female couple that leaves such a bad taste in our mouths. Our coordinator & aunt ended up cleaning everything with the one rag & spray bottle he gave after we repeated asked. Coordinator, wife, son, & I moved the heavy tables/ottomans. The drinks didn't taste like our selections. But the worst part was that he started charging our guests upon arrival. My wife & I stepped away to change our clothes. We were there 1.5hrs before start time & Jin never approached us or our coordinator for our card. He also had our itinerary ahead of time and met our coordinator. FYI on top of booking fees, you're also required to use their bar service for ALL drinks alcohol/nonalcohol which is included info on Peerspace. We agreed we'd cover the required minimum of $2500 & once we reached that amount it would turn into a cash bar. Our guests approached us confused about the bar so my wife personally went to Jin & asked why people were being charged, to which he responded "I couldn't find you guys." They immediately include their tip, which we weren't aware of, so drinks totaled to about $2100 w/ the remainder being tax/tip. They continuously ran out of cups & had zero cups for the water dispensers. We were refilling used water bottles to give to the kids. My aunt & cousin were busing tables. Bartenders didn't care to stay quiet or hold drink orders during vows. Every video we have of our vows is them shaking drinks & slamming glassware. There were good things too, kinda. It wasn't communicated to us that the front bathroom was for staff only & we had a outfit change planned, so after first saying no, Jin ended up letting my wife & I use the front bathroom. Also him assisting our DJ resulted in the music going well. It's sadly overshadowed by all the other things that needed improvement. It comes down to a lack of customer service & professional decorum, because the venue itself is beautiful. We gave a final 3 STARS because everything came together. Those missing components are just so vital. A work day for them is literally someone else's most important day that they're choosing and paying to celebrate at Blush.

The highlight here is definitely the quality of the Wagyu. The experience leans more toward a curated meat tasting, with beautifully presented, juicy cuts that are satisfying without being overwhelming. Even with two 16-year-old boys at the table, everyone left full -- which says a lot. That said, I took one star off because the setup feels more like a traditional restaurant than a true omakase experience. Since you're seated at tables, there's a bit of passing plates and bowls back and forth with the server throughout the meal, which slightly interrupts the flow and intimacy you might expect from a classic omakase. If you're looking for a sashimi-focused experience, this isn't that -- it's much more Wagyu-forward. Service was a highlight. Jamie was attentive, warm, and made the experience feel smooth and well-paced. Overall, if you go in expecting a high-quality Wagyu tasting rather than a traditional omakase, this place really delivers. A great Pasadena spot when you want something a little more polished and indulgent.
