The prices are affordable and pretty reasonable, especially for the quality of the food! The service is also top-notch. It is a little tight inside, so don't expect to sit down and eat--it's definitely more of a grab-and-go spot. Overall: 4/5

I heard that they serve affordable food and coffees and I didn't wait a second to get there. I ordered tuna melt which was a little on the oily side but for $4.99 it's really good. Cold brew had instant coffee flavor but again for $2.50?!?! You can't complain... I really appreciate the owner for serving food this affordable. Do not forget to tip!!!
"Whhhhaaaaaatttt?" was the word I said out loud (and in my head) when I saw Yi's Cafe's prices. Takes me back to the early 2010s when prices were reasonable, and going out to eat wouldn't burn a hole in your wallet. Beautiful cafe drinks for under $4 and sandwiches under $6. Again, "wwhhhhaaaattt?" It is unheard of and unseen in this day and age. Boy I miss the living in the 2010s as a kid but I'll just come back to Yi's Cafe to be nostalgic then and enjoy their amazing prices and value. My fiancé and I felt like a simpleton that day so we went the basic route ordering a Cold Brew and their Hot Vanilla Latte, with a ham & cheese croissant to share. Came out to less than $15 for 2 drinks and a pastry. Again, unheard of in this day and age. And I should add - just as delicious, and it tastes even better with their prices. They have fresh baked muffins on display, and it was very tempting to look at, too. I can't wait to come back and try more pastries, and their cool drinks (e.g. Tiramisu latte, Dalgona Whipped Coffee, Lychee Rainbow Soda, etc)! There was only one man making all the orders. He is very efficient and friendly, too! He welcomed every customer in and had a very warm hello and goodbye - I appreciated that! A lot of the customers we saw go in and out seem like regulars too and knew the man by name. Loyal customers here! There are a couple of chairs inside and outside to sit. Parking is on the street, but there is plenty on Foothill Blvd or Wigwam Ave (the next mini street to the right). Needless to say, Yi's Cafe will be my fiancé and I's go-to spot for coffee and pastries now! We love to support a great local business that is honest with their prices, that's what everyone is saying here, and we gotta spread the word!
There are not enough words in a Yelp review to say all I want to say about this place, but I'll give it a shot. Yi's Cafe is a spot on the corner of a street that is a bit unassuming, with just two tables and a bit of seating outside. But don't let that fool you, this is one of the best cafe experiences Arcadia, and even SoCal, have to offer! Even though it was my first time, it felt like I'd known Eric for years. His friendliness, down-to-earth style of handling things, and open communication about wait times were highlights of the amazing customer service here. We waited approx. 20 minutes for our food and drinks, and were offered two free pastries along with it. We got a banana chip muffin and a matcha muffin, both phenomenal quick bites that satisfied our cravings and hunger for a bit while we waited for our food. We ended up spending about $23 for two entrees, two drinks, and two muffins. The bang for your buck here is unbeatable. I've never seen anything like it. The two entrees we picked were Yi's Beef Burrito and the Chicken Pesto Panini. Both were delicious and hearty, feeling more like a nostalgic meal from back home than lunch out. The drinks are quite literally $4. $4 for a coffee nowadays is like winning the lottery on your first try. No better feeling. Both were amazing, with bold coffee flavors and strong notes of tiramisu and cookie butter. No notes at all. Overall, I think this place does exactly what it needs to. It's a small, corner shop-style cafe with an owner that cares about his customers, remembering "usual" orders and having conversations with them while making their drinks. He's patient, hardworking, and deserves all of the success he gets! I hope Yi's Cafe is around to stay, because I will definitely be back! 10/10.
Inexpensive, no-frills spot to get your caffeine fix and a meal for about $10 or less in 2026!! Wooh! I ordered the chicken panini for $5.99. I tempered my expectations and expected a mediocre sandwich due to the price of $5.99 but was pleasantly surprised to receive a hot, generously-filled sandwich all within 5 minutes! I ate outside at one of their two tables and noticed a handful of people come in to order their drinks. Will try one next time!
July 2026 Food/Pricing - Very reasonably priced drinks and food! The chicken pesto panini is our go to and only $5.99! Service/Ambiance - Small place but does have a few chairs inside. More chairs outside as well. The staff is always super nice! Parking - Street parking.
This is a teeny tiny joint in Sierra Madre. They sell a few muffins, which is what I came for, and some sandwiches, along with coffee and teas. I got there literally as they were closing up and was worried everything would be gone. Surprisingly they had most of the muffins, and when I asked if they were in fact out of the blueberry muffins, the owner told me there were more in back (probably just made). Thank you! I got some blueberry muffins, cinnamon bun muffins, a banana chocolate chip, a couple of matcha, and a couple of Ube muffins. I guess you get 13 for the price of 12 or 12 for the price of 11. It's your choice. I got the extra muffin. The blueberry muffins and cinnamon muffins were fantastic, the ube were very good, and the banana chocolate chip was decent. Matcha is an odd beast - sometimes it is delightful in sweets and desserts and sometimes it is totally unpleasant. I know there are different types of green tea, and I think that's what makes the difference, but I could be making this all up for all I know. What I do know is none of us liked the matcha muffins. Also, they don't use any preservatives, which should make everyone happy. Just keep in mind that within two days the muffins will be stale and hard as cement, so only buy what you can eat in a day. Still, I would totally go back for the blueberry and cinnamon muffins and probably the Ube, too. Their drinks also look interesting. They have an extensive selection of choices. Stop on by and give them a try for the muffins, if for nothing else!
The service is quick and the prices are amazing! Had a chicken panini, a tuna melt, and ham cheese croissant and they were good! The tiramisu coffee was also so taste!
I think I've found my favorite local cafe! Yi's Cafe has amazing coffee and foods for an incredible price. I can't believe they are selling latte's for under $4, when most other places are charging almost double. I ordered the hainan chicken burrito and it was so flavorful and a very decent portion. It includes rice, scallions, cucumber, and Hainan chicken. The staff are super friendly as well, as they offered a free muffin when I came in. Plenty of parking in front of the store. I'm definitely going to become a regular here!
This cute little place has been on my bookmark for a little while now so I was so happy to have tried it today. It's a little shop, but it's ran super efficiently with friendly service. Reading some other Yelp review and seeing some of their TikTok's, I knew I wanted to try their Hainan Chicken Rice, Chicken Pesto Panini, and their Tiramisu Latte. I did order all of those things, and added their chicken tacos and their Iced Dalgona Whipped Coffee. We came closer to their closing time and they gave us some blueberry muffins to try, which was better than some bakery muffins I've had. I have to say... Everything was pretty good, but my favorite would be the Chicken Pesto Panini and Tiramisu Latte. Other cafés, they would probably charge double the price and not taste as good but, Yi's Cafe definitely does it right! The Hainan Chicken Rice was decent for the price but the chicken was a little dry, the rice needed a bit more chicken stock, and I wish the sauce had more ginger in it. Other than that... It was pretty good. With all the food and drinks I got, plus tax and tip included... It only cost around $38. Which is such a steal for the quality of food and drinks that you get. There is so many good things I wanted to try on their menu, especially their breakfast sandwiches. I have to come back and try their Spanish coffee and get another Chicken Pesto Panini and tiramisu latte. So good! Make sure to put them on your bookmark and try to go support this small cafe. Your wallet and stomach will thank you!
I almost missed this cafe! Don't blink! I ended up at the next block, parked, walked. We were his last customers on a Saturday.Let me just say i discovered an amazing true small business we enjoyed his drinks! I did lie to the owner i told him i was only getting drinks but ended up getting a pesto sandwich and burrito.everything was top notch! It just shows not everything "fancy" needs a pricey price tag. I went to a fancy coffee shop close to me the following day and it doesn't compare! It's a coffee and wine "cafe" - that i went to! I would rather driver HERE! Hands down
Finally tried this cute new cafe. Amazed by the quality and quantity of food and reasonable prices! Not much seating but so worth the visit! And our lunch included two free muffins!!!

Came here early on a Tuesday morning to grab coffee for my coworker and me. I've been hearing great things about Yi Cafe for a while--seeing videos on social media and hearing a friend who lives nearby rave about it--so I was excited to finally try it. Parking was easy to find. I would suggest parking on the street or side of the street. I ordered the tiramisu coffee, expecting it to be very sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious and truly tasted like dessert in a cup, with just the right amount of sweetness--not overpowering at all. The owner was friendly and welcoming, and even mentioned that I ordered the right drink since the tiramisu is their most popular item on the menu. He was absolutely right. I'll definitely be back to try more drinks! read more
I love supporting small local spots, and I can't believe I just discovered Yi's Café! I found it one morning when I was craving Hainan chicken rice--yes, at 9am! It's a cute little coffee shop with a few indoor and outdoor seating. The owner and staff were super friendly and made me feel really welcome. I got a hot mocha latte and the Hainan chicken rice, and both were delicious and really affordable. Plus, they have this awesome deal--spend $10 and get a free pastry or item from the fridge. Who does that anymore? You can tell the owner truly cares about the community and puts love into what they do. Definitely coming back! read more
Good quality food at great prices, and you even get a free pastry with a $10 order! The Hainan chicken rice wasn't the best (I had to remove the skin, and the rice lacked flavor), but for $10 plus 50 cents for extra onion sauce, there's really nothing to complain about. The pesto chicken sandwich was also a tasty lunch option. I also ordered a honey cinnamon latte, the owner also let me picked a free slice of banana bread. It's a nice little mom-and-pop spot worth supporting. Seating inside is very limited, so it's best for grab-and-go. Street parking only. read more

Small mom and pop coffee shop that took over Poppy Cake in Arcadia. What really stood out to me when I first came across it was the prices! Drinks for less than $5? Where can you find that nowadays? I decided to check it out for myself, and I was pretty blown away. I've been by twice already, and I've enjoyed both visits. They were having a promotion where if you order more than $10, you get to choose a free pastry. So since I had ordered 3 drinks that day, I ended up trying a muffin. Not sure if the pastries are made in house, but it was pretty good. As for the drinks, my go-to is the Spanish latte, but I've tried the mocha and vanilla as well, and all were pretty good. There isn't too big of a distinction between mocha and vanilla (except that vanilla was a tad bit sweeter), but I really could taste the cinnamon in the Spanish latte. I've also tried their boba latte, which was interesting! I don't know if I'd get it again just cause I prefer boba with milk tea, but it wasn't bad. They also serve food here at an affordable price! Seems to be run by a super nice family - definitely glad they're in the area and hope they stay! Parking is pretty much street parking. There's one or two high tables with chairs, but this is more of a grab and go shop. read more

I have lived down the street from this spot for 8 months and I barely found it . Coffee is amazingly priced and the taste is great . Perfect combo of coffee to sweetness . Good things don't last forever so I will take advantage of this spot as much as I can .even if the price goes up i would still come for the coffee . It's a huge GEM in this economy read more
Yi's Cafe is across the street from the Dollar Tree Plaza, a few doors down from the UPS store. Street parking is available. Yi's Cafe opened this past summer and I always passed by it when I would go to church and so this past Sunday, I decided to try them out after service. I arrived a little before 11:30 am and found plenty of parking on the street. When I walked in, I just had a party of 2 ahead of me, making their order. When it was my turn, I ended up ordering:4 Pumpkin Spice Latte, Hot, $4 prior to tax- I picked this beverage, it had a nice flavor of pumpkin. Vietnamese Coffee, Iced, $3.75 prior to tax- My husband thought this coffee drink tasted off to him. He has had numerous of Vietnamese coffee drinks before but didn't really like this one. Americano, Hot, $2.50 prior to tax- I got this one for my mom and she thought it was fine. Matcha Latte, Iced, $3.75 prior to tax- I wasn't a fan of this matcha. I honestly felt like the quality of the matcha used is low (I drink a lot of matcha and also make it at home regularly, the old school way with a whisk and special tea bowl). Hainan Chicken Rice, $9.99 prior to tax- This was definitely the star of the show in the purchase that I made. The portion size for the price is excellent and the chicken was tender. I was surprised that the chicken was also boneless too. The rice dish is a bit too oily though, but that's to be expected. I also wished there were a little more sliced cucumbers to break up the oiliness of this dish. My husband also enjoyed this dish and so did my mom. Cinnamuffin, $2.50 prior to tax- Because of the special of spending $10 or more, I got this item for free. This item was good two days after purchase. I just heated it in the oven with a damp paper towel for 15 seconds and it came out great. The muffin was moist and the icing on top that was not too sweet. --------------------------------- (Total= $25.04 after tax, prior to tip) After this visit, my husband ended up visiting Yi's Cafe with our little girl dog on 2 separate visits and on his most recent visit, he brought me back: Honey Chai, Hot, $3.75 prior to tax- I did like this drink but felt it was a little too sweet, most likely from the honey and would consider trying the spicy chai next time. Smoked Salmon Sandwich, $5.99 prior to tax- This sandwich comes with smoked salmon and plenty of it, along with an egg, sliced purple onions, sliced cucumbers, a spread of both cream cheese and thousand island dressing that is on top of a brioche bun. I had this for lunch at work one day (reheated just fine in the microwave) and thought it was pretty good. The portion size of this sandwich was more than plenty for my lunch. -------------------------------------- (Total= $10.76 prior to tax) Service that I had on my visit was friendly but because the one employee working the coffee machine takes orders and makes drinks, there may be a small wait time after you order (depending on how people are ahead of you). Drink prices are very cheap and so is food in general. I haven't really been impressed with any of their drinks and think I might just stick to their food in the near future. read more

This place is great. Wonderful little shop with great coffee and super affordable prices. The guys there are really nice and pretty fast. They make your coffee right in front of you. They don't upcharge for Oatmilk. They bake fresh muffins and croissants daily. I've had their bacon breakfast sandwich and it was wonderful. This place is a gem. read more

Genuinely unbeatable prices without sacrificing quality, all drinks are $4 or less. tiramisu latte (4/5) - a little too sweet for me but a good chocolate flavor! dalgona latte (5/5) - perfectly balanced sweetness The staff is super nice and offered great recommendations. They get pretty busy in the mornings, but service is super quick. It's easy to park right in front by the curb or on side streets. Only downside is there isn't much space to sit inside or outside. read more

What a gem of a place with unbelievable prices! Quaint little cafe with some delicious food. Baked goods were hot and fresh. The chocolate and blueberry muffin were devoured before realizing no pictures were taken. The Hainan chicken rice and burrito are definitely the reasons we'll be coming back. So simple but done so right. The extra carbs were worth it. read more

We have always been wanting to try out their coffee because of the great Yelp reviews. They were opened on Labor Day, which is perfect for us, cheers for hardworking staff and owner. They have a small menu, which was great because I am often indecisive with my option. We ordered an iced matcha latte, and a Vietnamese coffee. Price is very reasonable and affordable! There are a few stools and small table inside the store, and there was a standing stool outside of the store. I was waiting for my coffee outside, and staff brought my coffee to where I was waiting! Excellent service! I love the matcha latte, it was very flavorful! It is difficult to find places that makes good matcha latte in area as a lot of them were watered down. Vietnamese coffee is strong, and tasted great. I am curious and would like to try out their food item next time! Will come back for sure. Street parking is available. read more
First time and order myself a iced Matcha w/oat milk (no extra charge) and a Hainan chicken rice along with a home baked banana muffin and the kind man said it was free since I spent over $10 How sweet is this (no one gives anything for free anymore) grateful Everything all for $14 .79 what a great deal Service was easy and efficient. Parking is behind the building or the side street. My meal was authentic and tasty ( not crazy for the side sauces) matcha was delicious and perfect and enjoyed a baked good . Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu and other drink choices . read more
This little cafe is a local hidden gem in Arcadia! You cannot beat their prices anywhere else. Lattes are under $4 and they use real espresso! My go to is the honey cinnamon latte and its better than some of the coffee shops that charge more than double! This is definitely a order and takeout place but there are a few chairs outside. I'm curious to go back to try their food too! Their whole menu is affordable which is amazing! read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing some food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is behind the building. It's a super small lot. Just park on the street and walk over. It's much more convenient. Food: I ordered several Hainan chicken to bring to my coworkers. One of them wasn't feeling great, so she ended up giving me her Hainan chicken. The owner was really sweet and he gave me some chocolate chip and blueberry muffins to give to my coworkers too. I did not have any of the muffins, so I cannot comment on the taste and texture. However, they did look very moist and tasty. Anyways, back to the Hainan chicken. The portions are huge for $10. They were generous with the chicken. The chicken was very tender, soft, and tasty. The rice was very warm and jasmine -y. I love that they gave lots of scallion sauce to pour over the Hainan chicken. My only complaint is that I wished they put the sauces in a small baggie or something because two out of the six sauces leaked. I put the food in my passenger seat and the sauces leaked through the bag and onto my car seats. My car now smells like the scallion sauce. Oh well. The food was divine. Staff: The staff here are very kind, friendly, helpful, and generous. They accept credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. read more

Since this place opened up in early July, I've been several times and have tried different items. It's a small family-run cafe with VERY reasonably priced drinks and food options and super friendly service! They offer coffees, teas, sodas, ice cream bars, and a few lunch food options. It's seems more geared towards takeaway food since the interior is small, but there are a couple counters that would seat 4 people total so you can dine in if you wish. FYI - They're running a promotion where if you spend over $10 you get a free pastry, so all of the baked goods I've tried have been free so far. This is what I've tried so far: - Tiramisu latte with mascarpone cold foam ($4.00): It's my go-to. Absolutely delicious and keeps me wired lol. I want to try their other drinks but I love this one so much and end up always getting it. - Spinach danish and cherry danish ($2.50): Very good! Generous with the filling, lightly crispy and flakey, but mostly soft. Good value given the crazy pastry prices these days. - Hainan chicken rice ($9.99): The chicken was so juicy and soft, the rice was very flavorful. Served with the typical hainan sauces (the green salty one and the orange one). I really liked the green sauce - it was bright, salty, and fresh. The orange one just tasted like watered down sriracha mayo - it was ok. - Caesar salad w/ chicken ($5.99): I think the chicken is the same one they use for their Hainan chicken, which is really good. Romaine lettuce was crisp and fresh, and it's all topped with shaved parm. Served with dressing and croutons. Good and filling! - Smoked salmon sandwich ($5.99): Wasn't too hot about this one. The egg and salmon were really good and I liked the soft (brioche?) bun it was on, but I think it needed something fresh to cut through the heaviness of the flavors, especially with the thousand island dressing. Maybe raw or pickled onions? Maybe some herbs like dill or cilantro? Prob wouldn't get it again unless they modify it, but it was incredibly filling for a meal and generous with the toppings! - Matcha muffin ($1.50): I actually got this for free with my order. The matcha flavor was good, but had more of an oceanic/seaweed flavor that some matchas have. It was fine, definitely needed a lot more sugar. I would like to try the blueberry muffin next time because that's usually what I go for. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you need a quick lunch in Arcadia!! It's a great family business and I'm so happy to have an affordable coffee and lunch option around me! read more

It's most definitely a hole-in-the-wall with a mom-and-pop shop vibe to it. I'm a huge fan of their tiramisu latte with their mascarpone cream on top and I recently tried their dalgona coffee which had great flavor. They also offer non dairy milk choices with their drinks! Every visit have only been friendly and provided very welcoming service. They offer a variety of pastries and some quick breakfast bites. Their breakfast sandwich is made fresh with brioche buns and the thousand island is such a good touch. I'm eager to return to try more of their food. The best part are the prices - drinks under $5 are unheard of these days and the food are all well priced. I want this place to be opened forever. read more
A local hidden gem!!! I've been here a couple times and have never been disappointed. For sandwiches, I've tried the B.L.A.R.B. (new!) , Chicken Pesto Panini, Breakfast Sandwich, and the Smoked Salmon Sandwich. My favorites are the B.L.A.R.B. and Chicken Pesto which are both panini pressed on sourdough. These two also come in half/full sizes which is very convenient. The Breakfast Sandwich and the Smoked Salmon Sandwich are also delicious and on brioche buns. I would honestly recommend any of them! For drinks, I've only tried the Boba Latte with Oat milk, half sugar (they don't charge for milk substitutions) and the coffee is scrumptious. The boba is a smidge on the harder side, but I will definitely be trying other drinks in the future. Please go support this local family business! Everyone here is so kind and the food and drinks are not only yummy, but so reasonably priced. You also get a free pastry with any $10 purchase! read more
Excellent new local spot for pastries and coffee! Happened to see a photo of their Dalgona whipped coffee and had to try it - it was wonderful! We also tried their Tiramisu Latte and some pastries and loved it all. They've just opened recently and are having a special deal where you get a free item if you spend $10 (pastry, drink, or ice cream) until Aug 10th! My iced Dalgona whipped coffee was light and pretty refreshing - the coffee was smooth and frothy with a rich flavor and the milk was cold and not too sweet, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely come back for this again. The Tiramisu Latte (hot) was also very delicious - they use some lovely coffee blends here. We also got three pastries: guava, blueberry, and cherry. So far I tasted a bit of the blueberry and cherry ones and they're very nice - flaky pastry and smooth jam that's, again, not overly sweet. Would also get these again. They've also got some savory lunch items on their menu that I'll be trying next time. The shop is simple and efficient in a decent location near the border of Arcadia/Monrovia. There's only one small table inside so it's more of a grab-and-go kinda place. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. And the prices are unbelievably reasonable - especially with their opening deal going at the moment. Our total was $13 for two lattes and three pastries! Parking is free street parking in the surrounding area and there are several cute shops within walking distance. read more

Small cafe located off Foothills. Street parking. More of a Togo spot. They have a promotion right now you can get a free bottled drink, pastry or ice cream with $10 purchase (fliers in front of the store). I tried the Hainan chicken, dalgona coffee and croissant. The service is very friendly and quick. Hainan chicken was good. I prefer their green sauce vs their red sauce. Dalgona coffee was refreshing. The croissant could be flakier. Such an affordable place! I absolutely love this place. It is more of a to go place because of how small it is but it's delicious! The food is good but the drinks are amazing! The drinks are also affordable so the amazing taste is a huge bonus. Although the place is small, it still has two tables with barstools to sit at. No restroom. Parking is street and there's enough space. There might be some in the back parking lot as well. read more
Breakfast for 3 under $30 is unheard of! The drinks and food were all very delicious as well. It's a smaller place but we ate at their little outdoor table. What a gem! Great location with plenty of street parking upfront. Very cozy place with some seating inside and outside. The service is excellent, very friendly and patient. The prices are amazing and everything is delicious!! Both lattes were great, the pastries were all so tasty. I was indecisive about a lunch item because everything in the menu looked good but a customer recommended the panini and what a great choice that was.
