This place is available for take outs and has some seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. While I was grabbing some food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is behind the building. It's a super small lot. Just park on the street and walk over. It's much more convenient. Food: I ordered several Hainan chicken to bring to my coworkers. One of them wasn't feeling great, so she ended up giving me her Hainan chicken. The owner was really sweet and he gave me some chocolate chip and blueberry muffins to give to my coworkers too. I did not have any of the muffins, so I cannot comment on the taste and texture. However, they did look very moist and tasty. Anyways, back to the Hainan chicken. The portions are huge for $10. They were generous with the chicken. The chicken was very tender, soft, and tasty. The rice was very warm and jasmine -y. I love that they gave lots of scallion sauce to pour over the Hainan chicken. My only complaint is that I wished they put the sauces in a small baggie or something because two out of the six sauces leaked. I put the food in my passenger seat and the sauces leaked through the bag and onto my car seats. My car now smells like the scallion sauce. Oh well. The food was divine. I've had the tuna melt and the ham and cheese croissant which were both good. As for muffins my favorite is the banana chocolate chip. The service is also quick and fast, the cashier makes your drinks right in front of you and I've never waited more than 5 minutes for my food. We have always been wanting to try out their coffee because of the great Yelp reviews. They were opened on Labor Day, which is perfect for us, cheers for hardworking staff and owner. They have a small menu, which was great because I am often indecisive with my option. We ordered an iced matcha latte, and a Vietnamese coffee. Price is very reasonable and affordable! There are a few stools and small table inside the store, and there was a standing stool outside of the store. I was waiting for my coffee outside, and staff brought my coffee to where I was waiting! Excellent service! I love the matcha latte, it was very flavorful! It is difficult to find places that makes good matcha latte in area as a lot of them were watered down. Since this place opened up in early July, I've been several times and have tried different items. It's a small family-run cafe with VERY reasonably priced drinks and food options and super friendly service! They offer coffees, teas, sodas, ice cream bars, and a few lunch food options. It's seems more geared towards takeaway food since the interior is small, but there are a couple counters that would seat 4 people total so you can dine in if you wish. FYI - They're running a promotion where if you spend over $10 you get a free pastry, so all of the baked goods I've tried have been free so far. This is what I've tried so far: - Tiramisu latte with mascarpone cold foam ($4.00): It's my go-to. Absolutely delicious and keeps me wired lol. I want to try their other drinks but I love this one so much and end up always getting it. - Spinach danish and cherry danish ($2.50): Very good! Generous with the filling, lightly crispy and flakey, but mostly soft. Good value given the crazy pastry prices these days. - Hainan chicken rice ($9.99): The chicken was so juicy and soft, the rice was very flavorful. Served with the typical hainan sauces (the green salty one and the orange one). I really liked the green sauce - it was bright, salty, and fresh. The orange one just tasted like watered down sriracha mayo - it was ok. - Caesar salad w/ chicken ($5.99): I think the chicken is the same one they use for their Hainan chicken, which is really good. Romaine lettuce was crisp and fresh, and it's all topped with shaved parm. Served with dressing and croutons. Good and filling! - Smoked salmon sandwich ($5.99): Wasn't too hot about this one. The egg and salmon were really good and I liked the soft (brioche?) bun it was on, but I think it needed something fresh to cut through the heaviness of the flavors, especially with the thousand island dressing. Maybe raw or pickled onions? Maybe some herbs like dill or cilantro? Prob wouldn't get it again unless they modify it, but it was incredibly filling for a meal and generous with the toppings! - Matcha muffin ($1.50): I actually got this for free with my order. The matcha flavor was good, but had more of an oceanic/seaweed flavor that some matchas have. It was fine, definitely needed a lot more sugar. I would like to try the blueberry muffin next time because that's usually what I go for. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you need a quick lunch in Arcadia!! A local hidden gem!!! I've been here a couple times and have never been disappointed. For sandwiches, I've tried the B.L.A.R.B. (new!) , Chicken Pesto Panini, Breakfast Sandwich, and the Smoked Salmon Sandwich. My favorites are the B.L.A.R.B. and Chicken Pesto which are both panini pressed on sourdough. These two also come in half/full sizes which is very convenient. The Breakfast Sandwich and the Smoked Salmon Sandwich are also delicious and on brioche buns. I would honestly recommend any of them! For drinks, I've only tried the Boba Latte with Oat milk, half sugar (they don't charge for milk substitutions) and the coffee is scrumptious. Excellent new local spot for pastries and coffee! Happened to see a photo of their Dalgona whipped coffee and had to try it - it was wonderful! We also tried their Tiramisu Latte and some pastries and loved it all. They've just opened recently and are having a special deal where you get a free item if you spend $10 (pastry, drink, or ice cream) until Aug 10th! My iced Dalgona whipped coffee was light and pretty refreshing - the coffee was smooth and frothy with a rich flavor and the milk was cold and not too sweet, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely come back for this again. The Tiramisu Latte (hot) was also very delicious - they use some lovely coffee blends here. We also got three pastries: guava, blueberry, and cherry. So far I tasted a bit of the blueberry and cherry ones and they're very nice - flaky pastry and smooth jam that's, again, not overly sweet. Would also get these again. They've also got some savory lunch items on their menu that I'll be trying next time. The shop is simple and efficient in a decent location near the border of Arcadia/Monrovia. There's only one small table inside so it's more of a grab-and-go kinda place. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Small shop, mostly for take out and go (not real sitting area for hanging out). Tried their Vietnamese coffee which was not a traditional type, and made me wanting more. It was of decent strength at least. The more disappointing drinks were their Dalgona Coffee (the topping was great, but the coffee was weak and mostly tasted of the milk base). Their Tiramisu was also quite weak but did have good flavoring, just lacked any real coffee flavor. We did try their Guava pastry. To be fair we had it a day later, and it was quite tough and reminded us of meat. Not a bad pastry, just not what we expected. Overall a bit disappointing, but the price point was pretty good, so hard to complain. I believe they can definitely improve, as they just opened, and will give another shot later. What a gem! Great location with plenty of street parking upfront. Very cozy place with some seating inside and outside. The service is excellent, very friendly and patient. I finally got the chance to try Yi's Cafe and was pleasantly surprised. The Hainan Chicken ($10) was piping hot!!!!! The chicken was super tender and flavorful, and the rice had the essence of chicken fat. They give one container of scallion oil which adds a whole other dimension to upgrade the meal. I also got the tiramisu latte and vanilla latte. The tiramisu latte ($4) was certainly a steal. To me, it tasted more like a mocha with some crystalized sugar on the bottom, but nonetheless, the coffee was super smooth and not bitter. Their service is super friendly and they gave me a complimentary banana chocolate chip muffin which was delicious but a bit dense. The inside is very small and definitely not a place to sit and work. Very low key and small shop, no frills just excellent prices. I was really shocked looking at the menu and seeing prices you'd see 5+ years ago, no many places can keep costs so low. I ordered a tiramisu iced latte and a honey cinnamon iced latte, both were fantastic. Great flavor, no complaints whatsoever. They also ran out of one of the sauces, so it kind of felt like something was missing. The bread was crispy, and was filling enough for lunch. -Iced pumpkin spice latte, half sweet: this was my favorite item we ordered. The cream on top was so fluffy and ordering it half sweet was perfect. Better than other coffee shops that charge $7+. They also let us choose 2 free items from the fridge, ended up with a sparkling water and a celsius, but they also had ice cream and popsicles as options as well.
