This review is just for the popcorn chicken! Came here on a Saturday afternoon during lunar new year weekend and order just the popcorn chicken, which came out pretty quickly, within 5 to 8 minutes. It tasted like it was just fried instead of it just sitting there. Super crispy, hot fresh and just the right amount of seasoning and heat. I was pretty surprised by the amount for 10 bucks. I would say this is a better deal than a lot of boba places, considering it also taste so good. If you're looking for a snack or popcorn chicken highly recommend coming here!
This is a quick and casual Chinese restaurant that's quite cozy. You order at the front cashier and they'll call your number to pick up. Rice isn't available, but you could go next door at Hodori to order steam rice for takeout. I tried the beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, and fried chicken cutlet. You can between wide or thin noodles for the soup. I thought the broth was savory, a little salty, with tons of braised beef chunks and noodles. For the price you're paying, the bowl had so much food. I couldn't finish it. Both the chicken cutlet and popcorn chicken were tasty. Crunchy on the outside and tender inside. I would definitely go back and try a different type of noodle soup. Compared to the prices of restaurants nearby, this place was pretty reasonable. If you're looking for something quick, come try this eatery.
Came in here for lunch during the weekend. My husband and I got the beef noodle soup and dumplings mostly for our toddler. The portion size was pretty great! We were able to feed our kid and share the beef noodle soup together. (We weren't that hungry.) for $25 for the soup and the dumplings wasnt bad. We thought the portion was pretty fair and the amount of noodle and beef were great. The soup felt a little light so we added vinegar. We prefer less salty though so didn't mind. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Self serve water (no ice). They had high chairs for kids. Overall, easy place to get a quick meal.

Qin West Noodle is located in the promenade at The Shops at Arcadia. You can find Qin West Noodle across from 3 Cats and also from Cha Redefine. Qin West Noodle also has some outdoor seating, in which you can dine with you dog, like my husband and I did this past Sunday. Because The Shops at Arcadia are currently running a special promotion called Dine & Discover (where participating eateries and tea shops are providing discounts and/ or special items with your purchase), we ended up decided to come here for lunch. We arrived a little before 1 pm. My husband waited for a table outside while I went inside to order the following: Guilin Soup, $14.95 prior to tax- I ordered this for my husband to be mild in terms of spicy-ness. My husband didn't think it was spicy at all but he has been trying to consume less spicy foods. He liked the soup and thought it was flavorful. I didn't get to try any. He thought the meat was good but wished there was more. Zhajiang Noodle, $13.35 prior to tax- I didn't want a soup dish and went for a dry style noodle dish instead. I really liked this dish. It was very saucy with pork and flavors of tomato. I also really liked the sliced cucumbers. The noodles itself was really good and had a nice chew to it. The portion size of this dish was big enough for 2-3 people to share. --------------------------------- (Total= $20.64 after Dine & Discover Promotion of $5 off each dish above). Please note that the above total also included a 2.3% transaction fee. This is where I am rather disappointed and annoyed with my dining experience. I paid cash purposely to avoid the transaction fee but yet I was still charged. I did not realize this until way later, after I had already paid and ate my meal. It even says I paid cash on the receipt too... So if you do pay cash, you want to make sure you check that you are not charged the credit card fee. There is some limited seating inside but you may also be able to find a table in the Eat Alley or just around the promenade. Utensils, napkins, water, etc are all self serve. After you pay, you are given a number and you have to wait for your order (whether you ordered to go or for dine in. You can also ask for a plastic lid if you want to take your food home if you dined in).
3.5/5 Zhajiang Noodles $14 a bit too salty. Has leftover meat, which meant great portion, but part of the reason was saltiness. Overall Qin West has some good deals here and there but the taste is rough around the edges ... you will be able to find a better of version of what they offer elsewhere. They are a no tips place so that can be refreshing. FYI extra charge for using credit card.
Not sure if this is a hot take, but I genuinely enjoyed my visit here. I thought all the food tasted fresh, and all the items had a very fair price point. It's really hard to find noodles without a soup broth, so having noodles with vegetables on their own made me happy. The service was also super quick. The person taking our order helped my dad navigate all the non-spicy items on their menu. This place is located within the Santa Anita mall, and it was very clean inside. I would definitely go back again!
Came here for the Dine & Discover promotion so they had $5 off their Beef Noodle soup which ended up being a great deal! At first the worker there didnt know how to apply the discount, but after the manager stepped in and was able to give us the deal. Service was quick, food was ready in about 5 minutes after ordering. Casual dining spot with indoor seating. Can be a little cleanlier. Portion was huge, came with tons of beef & noodle, free side of chili cucumbers, and a pink lemonade.Noodle texture had a nice bounce, left feeling very full and I had leftovers that I ate for my next meal. (4/5) Definitely worth it during the promotion and I believe I ended up paying ~$12 for the whole meal, which is so affordable in this economy. I was satisfied with this meal though standard (3.5/5) if there was no promo going around.

Beef Noodle Soup Guilin Soup Dry Mix Noodle Chicken Cold Noodle Popcorn Chicken The noodle soups were pretty good, but the dry noodles were very salty for me personally. Popcorn chicken is good - but you can't really go wrong with fried chicken pieces. One thing to note is that you get extremely good value here. The portions are HUGE, they come in huge paper bowls. My teenaged boys are usually garbage disposals for food, but even they couldn't finish the noodles and we took everything home and enjoyed it again for lunch the next day. Don't expect nice decor here. There are a few tables inside and out, but there are bags of containers and lids throughout the dining area - apparently the dining area doubles as storage. You can help yourself to ice and weird tasting water from their old water machine by the cashier.
For a noodle spot, I thought the food here was okay. I saw that they were advertising summer items only available during the summer so decided to give those a try. Chicken Cold Noodles - I thought this was pretty tasty but it also was very simple. It comes with chicken breasts and basically its cold noodles with chili and a few other ingredients. It's refreshing and overall I liked it. (4/5) Fried Chicken - This was new and the flavors were good but I also felt it was a tad lackluster. The chicken wasn't as juicy as I thought and because it comes with the whole thigh there are a lot of bones to go through. It's not something I'd get again personally. (2.5/5) Overall this spot is okay but it's not something I would crave. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get our food as well which was a lot longer than I expected.

Been wanting to try this spot. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or eugh. I got their pork rou jia muo, saozi noodles, and beef noodle soup to try. The pork rou jia muo had a fluffy pan fried bun that reminded me of the bing my grandma makes and was filled with savory tender umami pork. The sao zi noodles had savory meat, bright cilantro, crunchy bean sprouts, tofu, soft potato bits, and qq noodles. The beef noodle soup was really comforting and had a savory flavorful broth, tender juicy beef, crunchy boy choy, and soft noodles. I've gotten the beef noodle soup several times across the years and it's been consistently great. The price is reasonable and portion size is generous. Would certainly recommend Qin West if you want traditional Chinese noodles and quick/convenient service. read more

This place is always super crowded and the seating is hard to find, but the lunch special is pretty worth it. The pink lemonade that comes with the lunch special might be diet lemonade though, and the cucumbers could be marinated more. But the quality is worth the price! read more

A solid place for a quick meal! The noodles were good quality and we left satisfied with leftovers. We ordered the seasonal summer cold noodle chicken dish and the beef noodle soup. The soup itself was well balanced and the beef was incredibly soft and melts in your mouth. One of their best sellers for a reason! The cold noodle was quite refreshing, but I thought the chicken was a bit salty. I couldn't get enough of the chili oil peanuts they add to the dish. They're super addicting! Came to Qin West Noodle and left in a full-on food coma--in the best way possible! The Guilin Soup was incredibly satisfying--loaded with tender beef slices, bok choy, and a rich, savory broth topped with fragrant chili oil. It had just the right level of heat and depth, perfect for spice lovers. The Dry Mix Noodle was just as impressive--springy noodles tossed with beef, peanuts, pickled veggies, and chili, all topped with a perfectly marinated egg. Every bite had great texture and flavor. Don't sleep on the desserts either. The Fruit Jelly was light and refreshing with real fruit pieces like grapefruit and peach, while the Osmanthus Coconut Jelly was rich, creamy, and delicately floral with that classic osmanthus fragrance. Both were the perfect cool-down finish to the meal. The portion sizes are HUGE, so come hungry or ready to share. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu! read more
Service is always fast and friendly. We ordered the cold noodles and zhajiang noodles. Both had a good amount out veggies and noodle ratio and they gave you a lot of noodles! Ordered the seasonal chicken cold noodles and the dry beef noodles. Both are excellent... bursting with so much flavor. They gave us complimentary lemonade & smashed cucumber side dish. Small indoor and outdoor Chinese joint in a corner on the Promenade of the mall. How did I never try this place until recently all these years? I feel like I jipped myself. The food is so good. I always see a lot of people eating there but didn't try until now. Food served in to-go containers already that are cute, made of sturdy paper bowls that don't leak through even to the next day. Every dish on the menu has been delicious with my favorite being the Zhajiang noodles. Service is decently fast. Self service ice, water, utensils and condiments. There are trash cans to throw your trash away. They also don't ask for tip, even when you pay by card. Pros: -Rewards program to accumulate points for dollars off your next meal -lunch special on weekdays come with free chili oil cucumber and pink lemonade -food is good, plentiful and fairly priced -self service to-go containers, utensils, napkins, soy sauce, vinegar -cashier and person who packs the food are nice Cons: -no restrooms inside but there is a community promenade restroom about 15feet away read more

I love the food here! So flavorful and a great value. I got the lunch special for the beef stew soup noodles special which comes with the lemonade and cucumber salad. Next time I'll try the cold noodles with chicken special for $8.99 The lady behind the counter was great and helpful. It's a sweet little space to sit inside and eat as well as the outdoor space designated for this restaurant as well as the open space in the promenade. read more

We went to try out this GUI Lin noodles place for their lunch special. It was a very good deal! $15 ish for a pretty big bowl of dry noodles and a side of cucumber cold dish and a cup of lemonade. The portion of the dry noodles are very generous and good portion of thick cut beef. The beef tasted a bit hard for me but it's still good enough overall for me to want to come back again because it's a great deal. The cucumbers were good but it's soaked in mild chili oil. I just hope it's not so oily. The minus one star is because the free lemonade is really not in sync with this type of food. It honestly goes with green tea or something more Asian. Lemonade just really turned me off and it's definitely too sweet. I know it's a set lunch but I just think it should be more thoughtful or even if it's $16 instead to upgrade to a simple unsweetened tea will be match this type of food much better. Service is simple we just order at the counter. I appreciate that no tips are needed. Because nowadays every restaurants asks for tips even if's just a take out. Not that they don't deserve it but it just seems to become too aggressive and mandatory when supposedly tips are given when we think the service is good. Ambiance is simple and casual. I sat right by the windows which it's pretty nice to look outside while eating. I would come back and hopefully they would change the drink one day! read more

A pretty average noodle place I think. It's pretty dirty with a lot of flies and the workers are swatting them. It's kinda funny. If this place was HELLA good, then I wouldn't mind, but it was just a little average. Flavors were pretty mainland China, vinegar served on the side... flavor profile is more nuts, chili, vinegar... that type of flavor profile. I didn't mind my noodles, but I wouldn't come back. read more

Waited over 40 minutes for 2 noodles with just 3 other orders ahead of us. We heard them calling numbers ahead of ours and when we ask them about it, instead of being apologetic, they snapped back and started yelling back that some dishes are harder to make than others - very bad customer service! read more
Stumbled upon this place while looking for somewhere to eat in the mall. It's order first, sit down format. The facility has a very simple aesthetic. The staff was very friendly. My friend and I opted for their Beef Noodle Soup and Dry Saozi lunch specials, which is notated as a L on the menu. It includes a side of spicy cold cucumbers and lemonade. All the food had great flavor and texture. With the price of around $15, it is certainly a very good deal around Arcadia. Will definitely be revisiting this establishment whenever I am in the area! read more

This was my first visit to Qin West Noodle. They are located on the promenade area of the Santa Anita mall whatever it is called now. They're located near the CPK and the meet fresh. I was waiting for my boba order to be completed and wanted to see how long I to go order would take here since I was getting hungry. The waitress is really nice and told me it would take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes depending on the type of noodle I ordered. I went with the Liang Pi and the zhajiang noodles. I was able to customize the level of spicy for the Liang Pi but since my sister doesn't eat too spicy I asked if I could get an extra side of chili on the side. I thought the food was pretty tasty. I would definitely go a little bit spicier next time. I like how there's lots of noodle options here at the mall so this is another great option to choose from. read more

Doing an update after several years. The food for a while now has been consistent in quality. Though the customer service is still kinda lacking. But I mostly come for the chicken cold noodle now as its some of the best I've ever had! Lots of chicken, good flavors and a great price especially for lunch. Stumbled across this place while waiting for my glasses to be finished at Jin, and glad I found it. Yummy savory beef soup and the cucumbers were refreshing. Small seating area inside but they have a few tables outside as well. Will definitely be coming back again read more
This place was a pleasant surprise, especially being located on the promenade at the Santa Anita mall. Located across 3Catea and Meetfresh, this corner noodle shop looks to be owned by an Asian mom and pop. You order at the counter and then find a table either indoors or on the patio. He had a variety of noodle dishes to choose some, as well as sides and drinks. The drinks were more like desserts and had a lot of different ingredients in them, but we opted out this time. I got the Liang Pi which is a popular dry noodle dish that's suitable for the summertime. I'm used to LiangPi being made with a more jelly-like noodle ( Liang fen) but this one was thicker with a rice noodle like consistency. It wasn't as "melt in your mouth" as I would've liked. But I did enjoy the flavor of the seasoning once mixed, which was peanuts and garlicky. This comes without meat, but you can add beef shank for an additional fee. Pro tip: add some black vinegar in the liang pi. My husband got the golden beef soup noodle. This had a sour and spicy cabbage soup that is really good! The beef slices were also tender and thin. I really enjoyed this soup, but it is on the spicier side so because not to choke when slurping up the goodness! Overall I'm glad we gave this place a try and can definitely see us returning here again in the future! read more
Delicious noodle spot located inside Arcadia mall in the promenade outdoor section. A wide variety of noodle options, such as zha jiang mian, knife cut noodles to beef noodle soup. The dishes are a bit spicy with chili oil, but you can order dishes without spicy. We also order the cold combo appetizer dish, which includes pig ear, cucumbers and beef tendon (collagen). If you are craving some noodles, give this place a try! Qin West Noodle is located across from 3CatTea. This seems to be a mom and pop shop with indoor and outdoor seating. You order first, pay, and then you find your seat. They will call your number when your food is ready and you will pick it up from the front counter. There is a water and ice dispenser next to the front counter along with utensils and napkins. My wife ordered the Liang Pi, which is the housemade noodles, bean sprouts, cucumbers, and peanuts. You can choose a spicy level as well and my wife got it mild. My wife thought the noodles would be more of a jelly like and refreshing instead of a chewier substance type noodle. However, I really enjoyed the texture and flavor of this noodle. The base version of this dish comes with without meat, but there are add-ons for additional cost. I ordered one of their newer dishes - golden beef soup. It was a sour and spicy beef noodle soup. It tastes exactly as it sounds. I enjoyed the spice level of this dish and the flavorful beef. On July 4th, 2024, I was walking out of the mall at The Shops at Santa Anita and I saw Qin West Noodle. I said hmmm, what do we have here? It's a noodle house serving local and homestyle noodle dishes. I love noodles! It was July 4th and they were open on a holiday. I said why not... let's offer some support and patronage so here I am... They were getting ready to close soon so I had to order to-go which was fine with me. The lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful. She gave me some good recommendations. I ended up getting the Dry Mix Noodle (with beef, half egg, and peanuts) and Liang Pi (no meat) both with less spicy plus 1 Mango Sago drink. I enjoyed both noodle dishes... very flavorful! Even though I got less spicy, it was actually more spicy than what I normally prefer, but it was all good... I still took them down like a champ LOL. Mango sago drink was fantastic, but I had a hard time drilling into the bottom of the drink... I still don't know what it was LOL... I will have to ask them next time. Service was quite fast. Water and utensils are available for your convenience... please note it is self-serve. You also need to clean up after yourself so bring your trays and trash up to the wall opening. Hence, no tips are necessary unless you feel very giving that day. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Ordered the following and dined outside: - 1 Beef Noodle Soup = $14.95 - 1 Liang Pi (no spicy) = $13.45 - 1 Dry Mix Noodle (no spicy) = $14.95 SUBTOTAL = $43.35 FEE (2.3%) = $1 ARCADIA TAX (10.25%) = $4.44 TOTAL = $48.79 The noodles were delicious and portions were huge; I couldn't even finish my bowl so took leftovers home. Incredibly delicious! In all my years in the US, I've never had such authentic handmade noodles. Beef brisket is usually quite greasy if not cooked well, but the two of us kept ordering it - a testament to our Chinese heritage! Absolutely amazing! So delicious! The cucumber was also fantastic! And no tipping is required; the service was excellent. Ordered: - Dry Mix Noodle (mild spice, no peanuts) (3.5/5): Despite being mild this was spicier than we expected. However the spice paired well with the sour tang from the beans and pickled cabbage. We also weren't in the mood for a soupy dish, so the dry aspect hit the spot. - Saozi Noodle (no spice) (3.5/5): This was good. Basic and plain flavors but comfortingly yummy. Portion and meat quantity for price was a little disappointing though. Overall: 3/5. Qin West Noodle is suitable for a quick bite, since you just need to pay at the counter and seat yourself. Condiments and utensils are self serve. The place is quite small (and a bit noisy during a weekend afternoon), but you could always just order it to go if needed and eat at the food court or their outdoor seats.
