Came in to try this place last second and found myself hovering over my bowl the entire time. The store was clean and put together, teams restocked and customer service was good! My girlfriend and I like to rate places we go and this place got an 9.6! Portion sizes were great and options were plenty. Especially took notice to the satisfying crunch of the cucumber toppings and green base, along with the unique zing of their pickled radish. I don't know if I'd come back. I try not to leave mean reviews at restaurants because I get it. I worked in fast food for such a long time and customers are assholes. I just realized that I've gone in there quite a lot and a lot of the times the workers look miserable as hell aside from a few. Probably young and what not, but geez, smile a bit and change that tone of voice. Also, they went from giving 5-6 topping now to 3 topping, making the bowls mighty plain in my opinion. For starters, I was looking for a good poke place. I was debating between sushi or a salad. (You know that meal where you just need to eat healthy because you've been eating out or poorly for a while). Perfect compromise. You can make your bowl half rice half salad and add the poke. They have a great selection of meats and sauces. What surprised me the most was the sheer size of these bowls. **Update** This place used to be almost completely Gluten-Free (just the Krab and Soy Sauce Packets), but as of now... that has changed. Thanks to the wonderful staff for let me know that they changed management, and the new boss is ordering from different sources. Because of this their Spicy Mayo is no longer Gluten Free, and that may only be the start of their decline. They also used to allow the purchase of individual scoops, but now they only allow a 4 scoop minimum, at $4 more than you would pay for the same amount of scoops alongside a bowl. (The 2 scoop bowl is $14.50, individual scoops are $2.50, and 4 scoops is $14). The numbers don't add up. I'm really bummed. This has been my favorite Poke place for a while, but I'm losing faith in it's commitment to keeping people like me safe. This is all on the buyer, and high level management. The staff has always been friendly and professional. ---------------------------------- I started coming here a little over 2 years ago. I was informed by both the employees, and the management that all of the sauces were made using gluten-free soy sauce. The only thing in the house that is not gluten-free, is their artificial Krab/Surimi and the individual soy sauce packets. We ate there, and the ambiance was nice & clean. Other reviews are right, there are several signs saying no public restroom (even though there is obviously one there). Shortly after this purchase, my credit card was fraudulently used online. I remember when I was paying, the card tap thing seemed misplaced/offset from the POS screen and the employee seemed to fiddle a bit with the payment situation. So this is very suspect to me. You lost me.... BUT Let me explain my 1 star review. FOOD is fine. If you read some of the other negative reviews, I would 100% agree with them. I stood in line for 22 minutes while 4 staff members behind the counter couldn't get it together. Meanwhile, the line was getting longer and as they grilled chicken, the ventilation system was SO PISS POOR, the smoke was permeating all around the restaurant and stinging my eyes. While doing keto, we needed an option of a base and Ahipoki serves kelp noodles which are a good replacement when you need the balance between the flavorful poke and toppings and the neutralness of the base. Paid around $20 for a two scoop bowl with avocado( which is extra charge) the fish was mediocre and kinda had a weird texture. the portions of the sides were smaller than the shops i usually go to which are in garden grove mostly. they also have a wide selection of other foods other than poke.
