First of all we were so happy to see a Mongolian place not in a mall. We tried this out cuz we're were really hungry. First of all the selection is vast. You star with two bowls and fill one with meat and one with veggies. They have serving tongues for each meat type so if you have allergies and mess it up it's on you. My only feedback was to be to label what each veggie is in case people don't know but we should be able to know what works for us and what doesn't if you are adults! And if you're a child well hope your parent knows how to manage your allergies. Any review claiming allergy issue is clearly someone who wants to blame someone else for their own fault in triggering their allergy. Anyways back to the food. I got the beef, pork and various veggies with mild. It was so tasty. The best noodles I have had at a place like this in a while. And their mild was great in spicy. If you can handle a whole bag of hot Cheetos without drinking water mild is for you! Don't go higher. For both of our plates we paid around $37. The service was amazing. The cashier was so nice and helped us learn about the place and how to order. If you eat there enjoy it outside, since the inside gets a little hot from the stove. Overall I'm excited to know if a close by Mongolian place in Long Beach.

Monday 06.29.2026 @khansmongolianbbq 3547 Atlantic Ave. Long Beach, CA 90807 This spot has been open for a good minute, so I thought it was about that time to try it out. First look, walking in, they must be doing something right because there was a line. It's a small spot, so if you're planning to eat there, space is limited indoor and out. Don't be a rookie like me, and assume to just get 1 bowl for everything. There's literally a sign that says to separate noodles from your ingredients I like that the choices weren't overwhelming, and the wait for them to prep wasn't long. House special sauce, garlic and spicy on the side. It weighed in at almost 2.5 lbs. Lol! Brought it home to share with the fam, and it was still nice and hot. We all enjoyed the good flavor! Might need to get my own bowl next time, so I can add jalapeño and spicy sauce cooked in #khansmongolianbbq #mongolianbbq #dinnertime #noodles #longbeacheats

Can't go wrong with good Mongolian BBQ and great customer service with a vibe. I'll definitely be back.

Went to my usual Asian restaurant Asian Chef and saw they were closed ( like permanently closed ). This is located two doors down. It's a walk in - to go only, Mongolian bbq place that charges by the pound. One bowl meat, one bowl veggies and noodles. At the beginning they have the option of chicken, beef, and pork. All separate tongs which is great. Then you choose your veggies. There is no labels on the veggies and I would personally change that. But for those who love seafood like me, at the END of the veggie line there is imitation crab meat. Would be helpful to have placed that at the front so I would know there is another more desirable meat option for myself. They sauce it for you and you choose which sauces you prefer. The staff was helpful and the food definitely stayed HOT until I got to my destination 20 minutes away. The noodles are also on the larger side. My total was 23 dollars and that was with a large drink. I would definitely recommend and there will be more than enough left over. The cooking time is pretty fast and thankfully I went without a line so I didn't wait at all.

Grand Opening of Khan's Mangolian is a great addition to Bixby Knolls community! I love Mongolian BBQ. But I really haven't found one with rich, delicious flavors as since back in the days in the early 2000s. I was excited to try Khan's as $6.50 a lb is a great price. Unfortunately there is not enough flavor. In honesty, very bland even though I asked them to add a lot of garlic to it. Its the bbq/house sauce they add to it is not enough tastes and flavoring. Other than that, there are no flavors to the food as they are raw veggies, and frozen meats are not marinated, so I'm not understanding the other Yelper said they don't need the sauce. I'm sure if they tweak the ingredients by adding some oyster sauce or other seasoning, it would be more flavorful. Veggies are very fresh. Beef is ok quality, but kind of tough. The noodles were not my favorite type because it gets really soggy if you have leftover for later or the next day. Even at $6.50 lb, I don't know how I got $19 plate, lol. It took me 3 meals to finish it though. Plenty of parking in the shopping center.

Great Mongolian BBQ spot! They had a wonderful selection of toppings and everything tasted fresh. Customer service was great, pricing was reasonable, and parking was easy which is always a plus in Long Beach. The ambiance was wonderful and overall just a really good experience. The only thing I would personally skip next time are the extra sauces they put on the grill because the food already has plenty of seasoning and flavor on its own, so it was a little too much for me. I can't wait to return and I really hope this place stays around!

Another great addition to the Cal Heights neighborhood! In their soft opening this weekend. We've been waiting for this to open, since my wife and I both live mongolian bbq. Great ingredients and sauces, and good value for the price. It's easy to go crazy though. I accidentally got too much, but that's ok because now I've got leftovers. It is around the corner from our house, so I'm sure it'll become part of our regular rotation.

Wakkkkkkkk! No flavor the beef is mostly fat the veggies are good quality but the protein and cheap noodle have zero flavor it also came out so hot I couldn't eat it for like 10 minutes. They need sauce options because them asking if you want it spicy or nah isn't enough. Save yourself $25 plus a 20 %? "Tip" selection and go to all you can eat Mongolian in Cerritos for 19.99

This tasted better than a lot of other Mongolian spots, the flavor has a lot of umami. The service was fast and the parking was plentiful. They use beef belly for their beef option which makes the flavors really come together. You pay by weight, so my plate was about $16 but i saw other people pay $25 as they stacked their bowls to the top. Super convenient compared to walking into a mall location.

After all, it is fusion cuisine that combined a common Mongolian dish with American fast-food culture. It was satisfying to pile on the frozen, sliced meats (beef, pork, chicken, turkey) and veggies into the bowl yourself. The selection was broader than most salad bars. Paired with their noodles and a generous portion of garlic and pepper sauce, the concoction grilled on a gigantic iron plate gave out such tantalizing aroma it would whet any appetite (and draw more customers into the restaurant). It's a stretch to actually call it a restaurant, because you order at the counter and everything is self-served, including the utensils. There isn't much counter dining space to accommodate many diners, but the food court is just outside the store and it wasn't hard to find myself a table. The food came out pretty hot, so pace yourself without burning your mouth. The smell made it hard to wait before taking the first bite. The frozen meat shriveled upon being seared, so there might seem less than you remembered when you put them in the bowl. Because the meats weren't marinated, they might be a bit bland if not consumed with the saucy noodle. The grilled onion and green onion were the best part of my dish. Overall, it was a good place to get a quick lunch. The sauce was quite salty, and I was thirsty for the rest of the afternoon.

Today we were approaching hangry, and knew that if we ordered a lunch special, we'd get delicious soup almost instantly, and we'd have leftovers for dinner! Throwback to when dine-in Chinese food was king!…read more There's something special about walking into a place that reminds you of childhood, and this spot absolutely delivers. The service is consistently exceptional, but what keeps bringing me back are the generous family portions, quality food, and incredible value. For a date night, we ordered: Family Orange Chicken Family Beef & Broccoli Fried Rice Steamed Rice 1 Egg Roll 2 Fried Shrimp Hot Tea 2 Sprites Total: $33. With the cost of everything going up these days, finding a place where you can enjoy a great meal, leave satisfied, and not feel like you just emptied your wallet is becoming increasingly rare. And the portions? Huge. We actually had enough left over for lunch the next day, which makes that $33 feel like an even better deal. For me, this is what good neighborhood Chinese food should be: great service, generous portions, quality food, reasonable prices, and that nostalgic feeling that takes you right back to being a kid. Absolutely love this place. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered online for pickup, which was easy enough. There was a small service fee, but nothing crazy. The Mongolian Beef lunch special is available every day from 11-3 and the value is kind of nuts. The portion was massive, easily enough to feed two people. The container was basically 3/4 beef stir-fry and 1/4 rice, plus soup. The beef was tender, seasoned well and had some wok hei. With that said, I had a misc carry out order, but the Mongolian beef didn't fully survive the drive. I was starving, so I became a parking lot goblin for a few bites. I also tried the orange chicken because I originally wanted the phoenix chicken after seeing it mentioned a lot in reviews, but they didn't have it. The orange chicken was... orange chicken heh. Fried well, seasoned well and tender. It leaned more sweet and salty than aggressively citrusy. The salt and pepper pork chops were great. Fried to perfection, lots of flavor, seasoned well and tender enough. Just a heads-up, there are bones. I got it medium spicy, but there really wasn't much heat at all, so maybe go above medium if you want actual heat? One of favorite dishes, done well. The green bean chicken was good. Green beans a bit overcooked and the chicken was tender. Wok hei most present in this dish. Simple. Service was no-frills but polite, which was totally fine for pickup. Oh, the entrees also comes with plain rice, but I've never been too fond of rice at Chinese food restaurants and this one didn't change my mind. The place itself is small and tucked away in a busy plaza, with a few booths and dining tables. There were a couple families dining in when I went, so it has that quiet local spot feel. Overall, Golden Phoenix satiated my cravings. Generous portions and quality that's above average. Nothing fancy. Food survived the car drive back, fried stuff held it's structure. I'd come back again.
