Grand Opening of Khan's Mangolian is a great addition to Bixby Knolls community! I love Mongolian BBQ. But I really haven't found one with rich, delicious flavors as since back in the days in the early 2000s. I was excited to try Khan's as $6.50 a lb is a great price. Unfortunately there is not enough flavor. In honesty, very bland even though I asked them to add a lot of garlic to it. Its the bbq/house sauce they add to it is not enough tastes and flavoring. Other than that, there are no flavors to the food as they are raw veggies, and frozen meats are not marinated, so I'm not understanding the other Yelper said they don't need the sauce. I'm sure if they tweak the ingredients by adding some oyster sauce or other seasoning, it would be more flavorful. Veggies are very fresh. Beef is ok quality, but kind of tough. The noodles were not my favorite type because it gets really soggy if you have leftover for later or the next day. Even at $6.50 lb, I don't know how I got $19 plate, lol. It took me 3 meals to finish it though. Plenty of parking in the shopping center.

Great Mongolian BBQ spot! They had a wonderful selection of toppings and everything tasted fresh. Customer service was great, pricing was reasonable, and parking was easy which is always a plus in Long Beach. The ambiance was wonderful and overall just a really good experience. The only thing I would personally skip next time are the extra sauces they put on the grill because the food already has plenty of seasoning and flavor on its own, so it was a little too much for me. I can't wait to return and I really hope this place stays around!

Another great addition to the Cal Heights neighborhood! In their soft opening this weekend. We've been waiting for this to open, since my wife and I both live mongolian bbq. Great ingredients and sauces, and good value for the price. It's easy to go crazy though. I accidentally got too much, but that's ok because now I've got leftovers. It is around the corner from our house, so I'm sure it'll become part of our regular rotation.

Been waiting for this place to open!! Great spot for Mongolian BBQ. More selection on toppings compared to the one in your local mall food court. Their service is top notch and friendly despite of the heavy volume they had to deal with. No tables inside, but I did see a small table outside for now.

    Hair in my food

I've been trying to reach you guys through phone and no answer what's so ever. I want to make a complaint about hair in our food. My 5 year old daughter was taking a bite and notice that there was hair in her plate and almost made her threw up.

I think I got overcharged with taxes, because my meal was about $25 pre tax then i was charged $31, that didn't seem right to me.

After all, it is fusion cuisine that combined a common Mongolian dish with American fast-food culture. It was satisfying to pile on the frozen, sliced meats (beef, pork, chicken, turkey) and veggies into the bowl yourself. The selection was broader than most salad bars. Paired with their noodles and a generous portion of garlic and pepper sauce, the concoction grilled on a gigantic iron plate gave out such tantalizing aroma it would whet any appetite (and draw more customers into the restaurant). It's a stretch to actually call it a restaurant, because you order at the counter and everything is self-served, including the utensils. There isn't much counter dining space to accommodate many diners, but the food court is just outside the store and it wasn't hard to find myself a table. The food came out pretty hot, so pace yourself without burning your mouth. The smell made it hard to wait before taking the first bite. The frozen meat shriveled upon being seared, so there might seem less than you remembered when you put them in the bowl. Because the meats weren't marinated, they might be a bit bland if not consumed with the saucy noodle. The grilled onion and green onion were the best part of my dish. Overall, it was a good place to get a quick lunch. The sauce was quite salty, and I was thirsty for the rest of the afternoon.

The cooks prepare your food in front of you, so I decided to sit down but kept an eye on the process. To my surprise, I saw them take out some of the meat I had added, leaving me with less and replacing it with extra vegetables. That was absolutely unacceptable and disappointing. On top of that, the front cashier was extremely rude. If you don't like your job, then maybe this isn't the place for you -- customer service isn't for everyone, and that's okay. But that kind of attitude -- rude, unbothered, and clearly not wanting to be there -- is just very unappealing and makes the whole experience worse. I didn't say anything at the moment because I didn't want a confrontation, but I will never return to this place again. If you do go, make sure to watch the cooks closely -- don't just trust them to do it right.

They always remember us and even know our usual order, which makes every visit feel a little more personal. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served surprisingly fast. The portions are generous and ideal for family-style dining, with plenty to share and usually enough left over for lunch the next day. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back again and again. Highly recommend!

Food came out in a good time, especially considering there was a large party having a birthday party at the same time. We ordered a number of entrees and 2 appetizers. Everything was pretty good with my standouts being the hand-pulled noodles and the tofu & shiitake mushroom entree. You could tell the hand-pulled noodles were fresh and made by hand. The sauce on it was good but too salty. The tofu & shiitake dish was served in a savory and tasty home/brown sauce. The scallion pancake was good as well, just much thinner than other scallion pancakes. The Chinese broccoli was good, but I thought it was more bitter than usual Chinese broccoli dishes. The fried rice was okay.

We were seated and the food came out quickly, but after that, service was a bit slow. We tried several things including the crab and pork soup dumplings, shrimp wonton in chili oil, house beef noodle soup, orange chicken, and walnut shrimp. Definitely a place you can easily have a family style meal at! Crab and pork soup dumplings - really good flavor, wish there was slightly more soup in the dumpling! Would definitely get again, especially if you get their HH price Walnut shrimp - my new favorite walnut shrimp in the area! These came out nice and fresh, shrimp was cooked well, sauce was good balance of sweet and savory Beef noodle soup - broth was surprisingly not as hearty as the deep color would make you think, but still very full of beef flavor. The beef was very tender, melt in your mouth! Noodles were nicely bouncy with mild chew. Good option if you are in the mood for noodle soup Orange chicken - unfortunately seemed to be a mix of freshly cooked and an old order as some pieces were warmer than others. Good flavor, but chicken inside the breading was quite dry. Wish it was a bit saucier Shrimp wonton in chili oil - to me had a strange aftertaste. It does have cucumber in the wonton - warm cucumber taste was not for me Inside had a rustic appearance with brick walls and industrial lights. A good place to eat with a few friends and try different things. Would come back for the walnut shrimp and crab and pork soup dumplings!
