I love the service here. The owner happened to help me. Today's special is foot long for $6.99. I was happily surprised that they have gluten free option here. And even happier that she threw it in so I could try it out. It's delicious for it to be gluten free! And very generous portions. I believe that it's longer than a foot long! I came to this place because I've been doing Doordash for the past few days because I just moved here & I have no friends. I got the steak n cheese sub on a recommendation & it was fantastic. It had everything you want a steak sub to have & was so big I could only eat half. What impressed me the most was the entire staff was friendly - knowledgeable -- gave everyone who walked in recommendations & they were all professional.. I would go in and ask Ceasar for his recommendation or the nice lady who works w/ him. If I lived next to a planet subs, I would drive 20 minutes out of my way 2 goto this location because I felt like they truly cared about my happiness & its rare to see that the entire staff seems more like a family then some work place. Came here for my first (and last) time today and ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap. I wanted it in a tortilla, it came in a lettuce wrap. Really not a big deal. Quick and easy fix to throw it in a tortilla which the female employee kindly did. When she brought it to the back though to switch, the maskless male employee literally yelled "what's wrong with it?!" then looked up at me. When she told him I didn't know it came in a lettuce wrap instead of tortilla it appeared he said bulls*** and went back to his phone. I ordered the Experience sub and was surprised about how amazing my experience was! I love spicy sandwiches and this one is by far the best I've tried! This sub was packed with chicken and jalapeños which made it fantastic. They have a wonderful menu of all sorts of exciting subs to try. Can't wait to try there gluten free bread next time. My family and I have been coming here since Planet Sub moved to this new location! Their food is amaaaazing and you can tell it's from scratch!! Stumbled upon this place by accident and decided to give it a try. Candidly I was heading to Jimmy Johns in the same shopping area but saw their sign and stopped in here instead. Location isn't great and that's a shame, but they more than make up for it in service and quality. They greeted me when I came in, I told them it was my first visit so they gave me the low down: homemade bread/rolls which to me is a major plus, lots of variety, and they offer hot pressed subs. The menu is diverse and eclectic, it was very difficult to decide what to get. The two nice ladies working the counter couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The sub was inexpensive (compared to their overpriced competitors) and they don't skimp on the ingredients. Very healthy 6" sandwich. Great experience, I will definitely be back as it is my new 'go to' sandwich joint in Tucson. Cheers! read more

On December 31st 2019, my boyfriend and I walked in to planet sub with our 1 month old baby and were told that we had to leave Because they were closed at 1, this was at 12:55. People were still in there eating. We went outside waited a few minutes to decide where we wanted to eat, no body left planet sub, we went to popeyes and came back and a few people that were there before were still there and people were going in to get served but we were told they were closed I was so furious, I went in and threw a fit to the lady who said she was the owner. She said the employees nor herself knew if they were going to close. First of all if you are the owner you should know wether your going to close for the day, she explained they were closed for 30 minutes. Like I explained to her, you NEVER tell customers your closed if you arent sure if your going to close for the day or have customers coming in still if your closed and serving them! I was so angry because NO ONE ELSE was turned away. Idk if it was because we walked in with the baby but either way you dont turn your customers who are bringing your business in money 5 minutes before you say your closed you still serve them. I will NOT be returning and I will be sure to let others know the terrible service and the incompetence of the "owner". The owner said I was being nasty and aggressive and I was because it was so shitty to tell us we had to leave your closed but continued serving people after, we watched several people walk in after us. Both were toasted to perfection, which may not sound like a big deal, but no one wants a hard, blackened sub roll, or an overly soft, squishy one. The toast on these had just the right softness with lightly crisped edges. Each sub was hot and oozy and wonderful. The bacon on the Creamy Club tastes nice, unlike some other SUBpar places that use cheap bacon that overwhelmingly taste like fake liquid smoke. No sir, not this bacon! The Cuban was filled with all the standards you would expect from a Cuban, but each tasted... elevated. Hot and juicy pulled pork, the perfect amount of sliced ham, oozy Swiss and yes, you guessed it, those amazing pickles! The best sub and sandwich place inside of the Market Place Area suitable for anyone! They offer some of most extensive vegan and vegetarian options in the zip code. Subs run around $9 for whole subs but they do have daily specials on weekdays. Like $6 veggie whole sub Thursdays. Incredible friendly and helpful staff. My coworkers love the meat options. I am extremely disappointed in this place. My 18 year old is looking for his first job we happened to pass by after he submitted an application so he thought it'd be good to go in and inquire about his application. The manager apparently was on the phone when he walked up to ask if he could speak to her since it's always best to talk to the management. She stated she was busy and pointed to someone else to speak to so he did and the other employee told him that since he had no baking experience that they'd have to pass. Well I always thought that at any fastfood place they would train, so I took it upon myself to call and ask their requirements. During the conversation the manager asked if I was speaking about the young man who had just came in and I said yes, she than commented that since my son waited to speak with her she felt it was invasive and rude. I am soooooo upset at that, this is my son's first job hunting experience and I taught him to always speak with management so that's what he thought he was doing. First off my son is extremely well mannered and has the upmost respect for anyone he comes across. So for her criticize my son that way is unacceptable, my son listened in on the call and felt disappointed and now is feeling upset with trying for new jobs. If this is the type of people that run your business then you have to rethink your hiring process read more

This place is what a sub shop should be! Friendly people, great food and great atmosphere. The employees seem to really care about what they are putting out and they make changes to the menu that people actually like!! How many times have you been somewhere you've found something great and then they take it off the menu? I don't see that happening here.
