This place brought tears to my eyes. Entering the establishment I was immediately met with a warm welcome and family friendly environment with calm music and enthusiastic decorations. Sarah did such a great job in helping me find the perfect combo for me and making sure I had an amazing first time. I have celiac disease so was very excited to try Coops and was absolutely blown away by how sensational the food tasted. It's hard to find such great service, hospitality, and especially good food for someone with celiac. The lemon pepper seasoning is to die for!! Truly cannot express how amazing this place is. On top of the amazing food this really gave me the local Tucsonian vibe and made me feel apart of the community. I will be back!! read more

"Cainiacs" please do yourself a favor and try the Coop. The chicken tendies or chicken tenders are still the best I've ever had. I still realize how crazy of a comment this is, but it's true. The service today was a little slower, but they had a lot of to go orders. The place is super casual sports bar vibes. Definitely eat here and support local. read more

Awesome food! We got the Cluck box: Bordain Burger, two strips, small buffalo fries, and a drink. Huge portions. The burger was like a smash burger on crack; nice juicy patties, bacon, and cheese. I wish it would have came on Texas toast instead of a brioche type bun. It was still delicious. Chicken strips were nice and tender; light breading with light seasoning. Buffalo fries weren't too vinegary. In fact, they were pretty perfect. It was a nice meal for two. The service is friendly! Overall, the place is small. There are a handful of tables inside, as well as a bar. Which, the beers looked bomb AF! There are also a few tables outside. Unique place to hit up while on 4th ave! read more

This place is such a gem! I tried the Bourdain Burger, and it did not disappoint. It's a double cheeseburger with cheese, bacon, and their signature CowPig sauce. I swapped the regular fries for the buffalo fries, and those were packed with flavor too! The menu is full of tempting options, so you really can't go wrong with anything you choose. It's a great spot to bring people since there's something for everyone. There's seating both inside and outside if you walk toward the back, along with bar seating as well. Coop is quickly becoming one of my go-to spots, don't miss out! read more

We were downtown for an event and decided to swing by one of our faves and they did not disappoint. As we entered the place we were greeted right away and was told about their special going on. It was a smash cheeseburger on texas toast, fries and one big chicken tendy. I got the special to try their burger for the first time and save some money. I'm not usually a fan of having my burger smashed but this one was hitting the spot. It had a slice of American cheese and their cowpig sauce. Very tasty I must say. I found myself dipping it in more sauce. The fries were perfectly crispy, they kinda remind me of McDee's fries and were just as good. The tendy was huge and crunchy and served with a side of ranch and cowpig sauce. I also enjoyed the "jams" they were playing. It was some old school 80's and 90's hip hop and R&B bangers. The bar itself is very small but you can sit out in the back if you need more space. Although I didn't drink this time, it appeared that they had some really good beers on tap as well. Next time I'll will have to grab a few. read more

You walk in and place your order at the kiosk, grab a table and wait. Small inside, has about five or six tables and bar seating. Cool decor based off the name, (cows and pigs). Staff was nice. I did the cow pig fries (loaded fries that came with buffalo sauce, cow pig sauce, cheese, chicken) unfortunately the temperature of the fries at the bottom of the toppings was cold. The Cheese was not even melted and I did not enjoy it. I let the staff know and I asked for a fresh order of fries and they did bring me hot and fresh fries, but the loaded fries were not fresh. read more

This was a decent spot for counter service chicken strips and fries. The chicken was more meat than breading, quality, well seasoned and very tender. The fries were alright - I'm not a huge shoestring fan but they were good. It didn't feel like it was a great value but that was somewhat to be expected given the location. For 3 chicken tenders and fries with a slice of toast, it was nearly $20 after tip. The dips were notably small and charged per piece. While the quality of food was pretty good, given the value I likely wouldn't go out of my way to return. read more

I'd heard good things about their fried chicken. I went with the Cluck Box and a Mojito from the bar. The spicy chicken tenders were okay. Mostly just salty, no real kick. The ranch helped, but I was disappointed. The garlic bread was okay. I probably could've just went to Canes. I also got the Jeeter Fries which were good including cow pig sauce, chiles, and sautéed onions to help balance out the saltiness of the bacon and chicken. On a totally different note, the music was so loud it felt like a Saturday night at The Hut, and this was just a random Tuesday evening. However, the servers were kind and attentive. Plenty of seating. read more

Coop is one of my FAVORITE spots, honestly the best fried chicken in tucson. I LOVEEEE the cluck box, i'm not a fan of buffalo sauce at all I never get it anywhere but there's is sooo yummy. Everything on the menu is good and every time I go it's great. The people working are always so nice and sweet the owners are great and get the food out so fast yet it's still sooooo good. It also is pretty kept up with, I never see trash or anything and they make it look so cute and clean at all times!! I don't really have any good pics because my phone doesn't eat first when going to coop I do. RUNNN TO COOP BEST TENDIES IN TOWN!!!!!! read more

If you're looking for chicken tenders or a fried chicken sandwich and fries on 4th Ave., Coop is a decent option. The chicken itself is well-cooked, and the portion of fries is hefty. That big portion of fries wasn't particularly hot, though, and ranch on the side was very liquid. The counter service was fine -- nothing of note good or bad, really. I feel like I don't have much to say, which is perhaps telling in and of itself. It's a good chicken tender, and the sauce was pretty good as well. I don't know that I'll make a point to go back, but I also won't avoid it. Coop is solid, but not standout. read more

This place is great if you're looking for some fatty food to eat haha. I always get the buffalo chicken fries and tear it up everytime. They also have a great $10 deal going on right now with specific items which I definitely take advantage of. Even without the deal, the prices are reasonable, especially for how good it is. Food does take a little bit to come out, this place isn't fast food, but it's totally worth it. Also appreciate that it's open later than almost everything else on 4th ave, especially as a night owl college student. I remember when this place started as a food truck, when they became a proper store front I was beyond excited. Crossing my fingers this place does well enough to stay open since businesses have a quick turn over on 4th ave This place has been a go to for several semesters, literally since it's opening read more

Fireeee Chicken Tendies !!! Coop by CowPig is located inside American Eat Co, a food hall of some sort. We got the Cluck Box, basically a sampler box, and it comes with 3 chicken tendies, pickles, choice of slider, and choice of waffle or buffalo ranch fries. The chicken tendies are coated in a delicious mixture of spices, battered and fried to order, and even though it's breast, it was not dry at all! The slider was good, the buns got a bit soggy and the slaw was a bit subtle but great to try. The buffalo ranch fries are BOMB. The fries remind me of McD's, it is drenched in several sauces (I'm a sauce loving girl) and topped with more chicken. The owners are incredibly kind, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is lively! read more

Good menu design-simple. Tasty chicken tenders But the big deal here for me, is the $5 burger! At least a 1/3rd lb burger with cheese and sauce. Filling and u get it sans sauce and with onions. Just a smash burger that is cheap and very filling. Made fresh for you. You can not beat that deal. You can't. Love it, keep it up y'all. read more

Went here Friday night around 6:30 and it was pretty busy. It's also a small restaurant downtown so it's easy to fill up. The menu is short and sweet, but I find that restaurants like that h have all the more practice perfecting the same recipes. I ordered the combo meal with Lemmon pepper chicken and my husband ordered the bbq chicken sandwich with bacon ranch fries. As we waited for our food at the bar area, we watched humongous portions fly by.. which may be the reason for higher pricing (I know I was thinking it while looking at the menu!) the cashier made my day and really pressed upon me great customer service as she helped me find the perfect drink I was looking for. I really appreciated and her efforts! When the food came, my fries wet perfect. The size, the crunch, the flavor. I consider myself a French fry connoisseur and I don't say this often so kudos to them on that! The wings also had great lemon pepper flavor and weren't overbearing, it was super hot and fresh. The only con to the visit was really the lack of space. While sitting at the bar closer to the back of the restaurant, it seemed like staff had to really squeeze by with food orders to get by. Patrons did as well as they went to/from the bathroom. Overall the food was good and plentiful. Worth a visit. read more

I tried this place for the first time today and it was fantastic, I have celiac disease and the kitchen and staff were very accommodating and informative. Service was a bit slow but friendly. I didn't like ordering from the kiosk because the kiosk didn't seem to match the physical menu on display. It has a casual atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating options. The tenders were excellent! They were perfectly cooked, tender, crunchy, and flavorful. They had 1000 island dipping sauce, ranch, and ketchup available. The fries were crisp and delicious. I ordered a double cheeseburger, and the patties were flat and overcooked. I'll definitely go again for the chicken tenders and fries! read more

We love it here. Friendly competent service, delicious food, good vibes. The buffalo chicken ranch fries are what dreams are made of. Yum!

Got the chicken and waffle. The chicken was crispy to the point of being nearly inedible and was dried out. The waffle was fine, but barely any syrup on it. For nearly $20, not including drinks, I was hoping for way better food. On top of everything else, service was SLOW. Only redeeming quality was the pleasant employees. I ate dinner here yesterday with a friend. We both got CooPmelt sandos with fries ($16); I ordered my fries with lemon pepper seasoning. I thought both the sandwich and fries were too heavily spiced. They were OK, but would have been better if the spice had been subtler. Service was good, but this is a very casual order-at-the-counter place. There is a 3% surcharge for paying by credit card. read more

Friend said that this place had opened up a short time ago and wanted to try the chicken and waffles. We met a block away and walked to the place. There is no signage out front but there was a plaque with the address on it so we went in. The place is narrow and dark inside. i walked up to the counter and was met by a young woman who smiled and said something. The music was so loud I couldn't understand her. I yelled to please turn down the music which she did. There was a menu on the wall and one well worn paper menu on the counter. We ordered and paid for our chicken and waffles (with agave syrup on the side), and ice water to drink. We sat and our food arrived about 10 minutes later. The cold waffle was standard, nothing good or bad about it - just a waffle. The chicken pieces were breaded with some of the chicken soft and tender, other parts of the same piece were dry and hard. The syrup was thick and sweet. Friend had to get up and ask for more water; the woman would look at us, friend would wave at her and she would go back to looking at her phone. Very frustrating. As we were finishing up the music was turned up and was louder than when we walked in. We went outside to find a place to finish our conversation. All in all, not a good experience. We won''t go back. read more

The food here tastes delicious, there's no questions about it. But the prices (and portions!) have been outrageous ever since their move to 4th Ave. I used to spend 12-13 bucks for a sandwich and fries, but now I'm spending upwards of 17-25 for smaller sandwiches! I love this place, but these new prices are so frustrating. I can't justify eating here anymore since it breaks my bank more than it has any right to.
