This place brought tears to my eyes. Entering the establishment I was immediately met with a warm welcome and family friendly environment with calm music and enthusiastic decorations. Sarah did such a great job in helping me find the perfect combo for me and making sure I had an amazing first time. I have celiac disease so was very excited to try Coops and was absolutely blown away by how sensational the food tasted. It's hard to find such great service, hospitality, and especially good food for someone with celiac. The lemon pepper seasoning is to die for!! Truly cannot express how amazing this place is. Awesome food! We got the Cluck box: Bordain Burger, two strips, small buffalo fries, and a drink. Huge portions. The burger was like a smash burger on crack; nice juicy patties, bacon, and cheese. I wish it would have came on Texas toast instead of a brioche type bun. It was still delicious. Chicken strips were nice and tender; light breading with light seasoning. Buffalo fries weren't too vinegary. In fact, they were pretty perfect. It was a nice meal for two. The service is friendly! Overall, the place is small. This place is such a gem! I tried the Bourdain Burger, and it did not disappoint. It's a double cheeseburger with cheese, bacon, and their signature CowPig sauce. I swapped the regular fries for the buffalo fries, and those were packed with flavor too! The menu is full of tempting options, so you really can't go wrong with anything you choose. We were downtown for an event and decided to swing by one of our faves and they did not disappoint. As we entered the place we were greeted right away and was told about their special going on. It was a smash cheeseburger on texas toast, fries and one big chicken tendy. I got the special to try their burger for the first time and save some money. I'm not usually a fan of having my burger smashed but this one was hitting the spot. It had a slice of American cheese and their cowpig sauce. Very tasty I must say. I found myself dipping it in more sauce. The fries were perfectly crispy, they kinda remind me of McDee's fries and were just as good. The tendy was huge and crunchy and served with a side of ranch and cowpig sauce. I also enjoyed the "jams" they were playing. It was some old school 80's and 90's hip hop and R&B bangers. The bar itself is very small but you can sit out in the back if you need more space. Although I didn't drink this time, it appeared that they had some really good beers on tap as well. You walk in and place your order at the kiosk, grab a table and wait. Small inside, has about five or six tables and bar seating. Cool decor based off the name, (cows and pigs). Staff was nice. I did the cow pig fries (loaded fries that came with buffalo sauce, cow pig sauce, cheese, chicken) unfortunately the temperature of the fries at the bottom of the toppings was cold. The Cheese was not even melted and I did not enjoy it. The fries were alright - I'm not a huge shoestring fan but they were good. It didn't feel like it was a great value but that was somewhat to be expected given the location. The ranch helped, but I was disappointed. The garlic bread was okay. I probably could've just went to Canes. I also got the Jeeter Fries which were good including cow pig sauce, chiles, and sautéed onions to help balance out the saltiness of the bacon and chicken. That big portion of fries wasn't particularly hot, though, and ranch on the side was very liquid. The counter service was fine -- nothing of note good or bad, really. They also have a great $10 deal going on right now with specific items which I definitely take advantage of. Even without the deal, the prices are reasonable, especially for how good it is. We got the Cluck Box, basically a sampler box, and it comes with 3 chicken tendies, pickles, choice of slider, and choice of waffle or buffalo ranch fries. The chicken tendies are coated in a delicious mixture of spices, battered and fried to order, and even though it's breast, it was not dry at all! The slider was good, the buns got a bit soggy and the slaw was a bit subtle but great to try. The buffalo ranch fries are BOMB. The fries remind me of McD's, it is drenched in several sauces (I'm a sauce loving girl) and topped with more chicken. Went here Friday night around 6:30 and it was pretty busy. It's also a small restaurant downtown so it's easy to fill up. The menu is short and sweet, but I find that restaurants like that h have all the more practice perfecting the same recipes. I ordered the combo meal with Lemmon pepper chicken and my husband ordered the bbq chicken sandwich with bacon ranch fries. As we waited for our food at the bar area, we watched humongous portions fly by.. which may be the reason for higher pricing (I know I was thinking it while looking at the menu!) the cashier made my day and really pressed upon me great customer service as she helped me find the perfect drink I was looking for. I really appreciated and her efforts! When the food came, my fries wet perfect. The size, the crunch, the flavor. I consider myself a French fry connoisseur and I don't say this often so kudos to them on that! The wings also had great lemon pepper flavor and weren't overbearing, it was super hot and fresh. The only con to the visit was really the lack of space. While sitting at the bar closer to the back of the restaurant, it seemed like staff had to really squeeze by with food orders to get by. Friend said that this place had opened up a short time ago and wanted to try the chicken and waffles. We met a block away and walked to the place. There is no signage out front but there was a plaque with the address on it so we went in. The place is narrow and dark inside. i walked up to the counter and was met by a young woman who smiled and said something. The music was so loud I couldn't understand her. I yelled to please turn down the music which she did. There was a menu on the wall and one well worn paper menu on the counter. We ordered and paid for our chicken and waffles (with agave syrup on the side), and ice water to drink. We sat and our food arrived about 10 minutes later. The cold waffle was standard, nothing good or bad about it - just a waffle. The chicken pieces were breaded with some of the chicken soft and tender, other parts of the same piece were dry and hard. The syrup was thick and sweet. Friend had to get up and ask for more water; the woman would look at us, friend would wave at her and she would go back to looking at her phone. Very frustrating. As we were finishing up the music was turned up and was louder than when we walked in. We went outside to find a place to finish our conversation. All in all, not a good experience. But the prices (and portions!) have been outrageous ever since their move to 4th Ave. I used to spend 12-13 bucks for a sandwich and fries, but now I'm spending upwards of 17-25 for smaller sandwiches!
