Thoroughly enjoyed our food quite a bit at Elliott's on Congress on a very wet and rainy night, this past November. I forgot which night it was now since we stayed in DT Tucson for Tour de Tucson from Thursday to Sunday. Oh, Actually I think it was a Saturday night because I remember wanting to go somewhere that had TVs that would show the Vegas F1 race. We got a table without reservation and they didn't have anything F1 on TV.. so we started just watching from our phone but then I noticed one of the main TVs above the bar started showing F1.. Now, I don't know if the servers of Elliott's were that observant and awesome or, they were already planning to show it once the race started... I choose to believe that our server was so awesome that she noticed we were watching F1 race on our tiny phone and put it on TV for us!! Honestly, just for that, 5 stars in my book. What also is a bonus is how good their food is. Sometimes you get nervous going to a local bar because food is not always good...though the people who run it and the place might be fun. However, you get all of the above at Elliott's. We ordered some mussels (cooked to perfection, not overcooked at all), pear salad, pineapple cider (delish), fish tacos, and steak. Everything was pleasantly yummy and the star was the mussels, which I did not expect to taste this fresh and delish, talking about setting low expectations and be pleasantly surprised! Overall, highly recommend. It did get darker and lots more busy and loud as we finished dinner and the Vegas F1 race finished. If I'm going out downtown, I'm going to Elliot's. It's super chill and laid back. They infuse their own vodkas and have a great selection of flavors, like cucumber, mango, ginger, coffee bean and even horseradish. Most recently I got a cucumber soda and it was great. Perfect for summer time. They also serve food, and while it's been a while since I've dined here, I remember the food being good. The service is also solid. They have so many flavors of vodkas here. I came here for happy hour and was impressed with the $4 drink selections. My waitress recommended a mule with pumpkin flavored vodka and let me say it was awesome. I also ordered the sliders off the mini menu. We've enjoyed this restaurant a few times. We had made a reservation for our group, so got seated right away. It was a lively crowd there that night! Our server was fun and great at her job. I ordered some bacon rangoon, which was hot and crunchy. The others in our group got their main dishes a few minutes before my Mediterranean salad was brought to me, which was a bit odd. The salad was good, although the salmon was slightly overcooked and a little dry. My husband got the fish and shrimp meal, which he always enjoys. They have a decent happy hour, although the food part is basically the same price as the regular menu, just smaller portions at an equivalent price. read more

Stopped in for a drink while we waited for our pizza from Empire next door. Love the vibe! They have at least 30 infused vodkas. We tried jalapeno and roasted garlic. Very jalepenoey and garlicky. I almost did a lower star review because Elliott's didn't really wow me, but that's kind of the secret superpower, I think, of Elliott's. It's a comfortable place to go where you can just be yourself and let it all hang out. The prices are very affordable and the service was excellent. I wasn't too hungry, so we just noshed on some fries (which were also fantastic) but the menu has both simple bar favorites and some interesting options. I will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I were downtown on a Sunday afternoon and hadn't had lunch yet so we were glad to stumble onto Elliott's. It's a sports bar that happens to be one of the few places downtown where you can get food on the weekend. Service and atmosphere here are friendly with a welcoming vibe. We ordered the London Calling and the duck sliders. Both were decent. The buns on the sliders were pillowy and the duck was tender but I would have liked to have a more layered flavor profile. And while I've had better cod filets these had a good crunch and were satisfying. The coleslaw was pretty bland though, but the Parmesan garlic fries were good. They have a large array of house infused vodkas and we requested the bacon and lime flavors in our Ultimate Bloody Mary. We couldn't really taste the bacon and the drink was a bit too salty but they did not skimp on the vodka! Overall a solid place and would give it another try. read more

One of the few bars downtown that I actually felt welcomed and comfortable in. Food is decent and prepared well (I watched the guys working the kitchen while enjoying a few drinks and saw no issues). Several of the bars I visited downtown were rather pretentious and overpriced. Elliot's is priced right and the staff are friendly. Also, no issue getting what you're probably looking for which was an issue at most the other bars (who doesn't carry Jack Daniel's and has zero mixers?). At the end of my 3rd week long visit to downtown Tucson, I really only nailed down 2 bars that I would consider my goto places and this is one of them (see my other reviews for the second one). read more

Tried a bunch of appetizers, from the bacon and cream cheese stuffed wontons, jalapeño poppers, to chocolate covered bacon, mozzarella "sticks" and duck sliders. Everything, from the service to the laid back atmosphere, was excellent! The drinks were all fantastic too. I had a bloody Mary with their infused horseradish vodka, and garlic vodka too. Definitely make a reservation as they get filled up fast. Saturday night dinner out before a show...the place was busy. Had a reservation and got seated immediately. I had the "Texas Caviar" Salad....and it was delicious. The menu does state on grilled romaine, but it wasn't. The dish was still good....the jalapeno ranch was perfect. Not too hot, but had a nice bite to it. The hubby got the London Calling, which is the fish & chips. He said it was good....fish were battered well, not too heavy....and the fries with parmesan were yummy. Elliott's was a happy surprise during our Tucson stay for the gem show. They answered our call, held a booth for us, and we were greeted by Alana, who took great care of us the entire evening. We were dazzled by the infused vodka offerings (and tried several between us) -- especially sweet with happy hour prices. Elliott's on Congress is a bar where you can do some of the best people watching that exists in downtown Tucson. We have visited a number of times and the staff has always been super friendly, but VERY slow. One of the highlights is that they make their own flavored vodkas so there are a bunch of opportunities to make/try some interesting drinks. If you are coming for the food, the menu is good but there is not a ton of selection, but everything we have ever eaten here has been good. One suggestion is to try the bacon wontons because they are amazing. The price is some of the best prices you will pay for drinks not only downtown but in all of Tucson. Sure it's a sports bar, but more than anything Elliott's is really an ode to vodka. With over two dozen infusions of the spirit, it's more than gimmicky, but a surprisingly well-executed craft. The flavors are done masterfully--they taste intense and authentic. And they're employed in vodka-based renditions of classic cocktails. The jalapeno vodkarita won't have you missing tequila. The mango painkiller? Perfect for the sweet tooth. Get them for like $4 during happy hour. My favorite drink was the bomber I had with an energy drink and the habanero vodka--it absolutely blew my mind with how scorching it was. I have a high heat tolerance, so it was enjoyable (I would buy a bottle if they sold it!). But to the average reader? Beware, and don't be afraid to mix infusions to cool things off. There are small bites and standard bar food on the menu. They come out fast and they're sharable. I'm a huge fan of the fries. They play basketball games on the televisions, but without the sound so it's a great compromise if you're stuck with the sad sportsball haters in your party. We headed down to the air space museum for the day and looked to Yelp to eat lunch before exploring all of the planes. We walked into Elliotts and were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was extremely attentive. We ordered one kids meal, two burgers and a gyro. I would recommend the parmesan garlic fries as they were a huge hit at our table and a nice change from a basic fry. Let's talk about the vodka options! They have over 20 different options for infused vodka. Some of the most interesting flavors! I was able to try the Bloody Mary and Jalapeño margarita. Both very tasty! I absolutely love the food selection, everything sounds so delicious. They only play bangers, you'll find yourself dancing while trying to eat. How I feel about this place is mostly positive, however I will say the layout is off. It doesn't really work with the environment, it just has weird feng shui. They have huge tables in the front, with a ton of smaller tables crowded in the back. It makes it a little awkward bc you can hear everyone talking around you so you have to yell if you want the person in front of you to hear you. I would suggest they spread everything out a little more; I think some smaller tables would fit better in the front if they don't guard the door read more
