If you're looking for a challenge spice wise, come here if you think you can handle extreme heat, then get the reefer but if you can't handle any heat, then get the nose spice as usual like probably you'd probably know that the food here is amazing but don't make the rookie mistake. If not getting intro sauce it is the best so if you come here, definitely you have to get Dave's sauce. The fries aren't spicy if you were wondering you could ask though to add seasoning to make it spicier from the chicken seasoning I think they might allow that but definitely recommend. Also I think they're nice to vegetarian people because they do have a vegetarian chicken and my opinion is just get the chicken by itself, but I don't know your preference so this is a really good place to go here. Ordered takeout to experience Dave's for the first time and WOW. The sliders!!! I chose hot for mine and it was the perfect spice level - hot enough where you feel something but comfortable enough to enjoy the entire meal. The chicken was crispy and juicy. The bread was nice and soft. The Dave's sauce perfectly tying everything together. I love spice so I let my curiosity get the best of me and I had to try the reaper tender... I know it's most likely named after the Carolina Reaper pepper but man I sure felt like I saw a glimpse of death after that first bite. This is SPICY. The portion sizes were big and the chicken itself was very tender, juicy, and crunchy but the flavors were not there even when I dipped it in ranch. And the ranch is an additional cost of $1.49. The powdered seasoning that the chicken and fries are coated in is not that great and makes for a weird texture experience. Not bad just not good either. The orange sauce is sweet so you are getting a "sweet and savory experience" but didn't work for me. I tried the chicken and honey (not my vibe) but some may like it! Lastly, fries were crunchy and airy but tasted just like the chicken because of that powder seasoning. I enjoy spicy food and I did eat the whole slider, but it had to be consumed in sections at 2 different sittings. The reaper would be a fun timed bet/challenge with friends. Maybe recreate "hot one's" and ask difficult questions while the heat is building? By the time I found a private place to make love to the delicious food prepared by the friendly employees of Dave's, the fries were soggy. But I snagged a few from the bag on the drive and they were good when fresh. I can't blame them for this, the fries were hot and fresh when served. Not a bad first experience. I ended up coming back to place a second order, and while I was waiting for her to finish helping other customers, a heavy-set lady came out and started correcting Kari loudly in front of myself and about four other people. Honestly, she could've easily pulled Kari aside in the back to talk to her instead of calling her out in front of customers. If Kari was still training or unsure about something, I feel it would've been more appropriate and professional to handle that privately and with a better tone. There are different combos to choose from which come with pickles, a side of fries, piece of toast, and Dave's sauce. After driving by a few times in the weeks after their opening, we finally found a time when the line wasn't completely out the door and got our food within 30 minutes. The chicken is tasty overall and isn't dry at all. We tried the tenders combo and the 1 tender and 1 slider combo. The mild and medium heat levels were just right for us, and the pickles and creaminess of Dave's sauce helped balance the spices. The slider comes with a slaw which adds a freshness to the sandwich. Since they're fairly new, there are a few kinks I think they're working still out in terms of managing lines and orders - we ordered online another time and it took about an hour to get our food, but hope that things will settle out as they get into the swing of things because the chicken is pretty delicious. read more

I ordered the #1 which was two tenders with fries, it felt a little pricey at over $13 after tax for a meal that came with a very small portion of fries and no drink. You can select your spice level which includes no spice, lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot, and reaper (this last one you have to sign a waver for). I decided to go with the medium spice, but to me it did not taste spicy at all. Flavor was pretty good but overall the chicken was just greasy, kind of a bummer. Their team was friendly and fast. The sandwiches and chicken tenders themselves are seasoned well and they come in a variety of spice levels to suit anyone's preferences. The problem was that the tender size varies so much that my sandwich had a really little chicken finger for the price. The fries were nearly perfect, but that sandwich was almost all bun. I went back to get just a single finger for the road, and it was a lot bigger, and and the friendly staff even sped up the order for me so I could get it quickly to go. I will say, this is not comparable to the glory days of Pop's Hot Chicken food truck - but it is the best hot chicken sandwich Tucson's currently got. The chicken is juicy and crispy, the slaw is OK, pickles are good, and they give you extra sauce. It was $17 for two sliders (no drink, 20% tip). Eating these like a hotdog is the best way to do it, because of how the chicken is shaped, but you don't get everything each bite. I think I could go up to extra hot next time.
