Dave's Hot Chicken was amazing! The chicken was crispy, juicy, and had great flavor. The service was fast and friendly, and the food came out fresh. Definitely coming back! read more

I think dave needs to work on his chicken bc it tastes like im eating "Comet" and chicken tg.

Its really good i would remind for everyone to atleast try once. I. Sure you will be back for more

Never disappoints! The chicken is always tender, juicy and spicy! The wait is always worth it. The dining room hasn't changed. Still a goto anytime and one of my favorites! read more

It was okay for me. The mild chicken strips were good with the cheese sauce and whatever the other sauce is they give you. That sauce was really good. The mild mozzarella stick was nasty and old. I bit into it and spit it right out. French fries were okay but tasted old. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Mozzarella stick, chicken strips and fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

This place is great. The service is always impeccable. The chicken is always tender and crispy. They make you sign a waiver for the reaper but it's not necessary. It's only too hot if you're a dweeb. 4 out of 5 because the fries are never hot and the reaper tastes like red devil read more

Ordered takeout to experience Dave's for the first time and WOW. The sliders!!! I chose hot for mine and it was the perfect spice level - hot enough where you feel something but comfortable enough to enjoy the entire meal. The chicken was crispy and juicy. The bread was nice and soft. The Dave's sauce perfectly tying everything together. I love spice so I let my curiosity get the best of me and I had to try the reaper tender... I know it's most likely named after the Carolina Reaper pepper but man I sure felt like I saw a glimpse of death after that first bite. This is SPICY. Good thing I had a top loaded shake on deck to alleviate the pain. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Dave's #3 - one slider, one tender, fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Every time I come to this place there is always a problem. Understaffed-soda machine broken-out of this or that. Always hot during the day like uncomfortably hot it's a building that is 90% windows. Here is a good idea let's eat fried chicken in the middle of summer well sitting in a hot room with the sun beating down on you. Also the spice levels are inconsistent. Not impressed 3rd trip in a row that I have had problems. Could be good but too much inconsistency. And it seems like an all the time thing read more

We love going to Dave's. The food is amazing and I'm vegetarian so I get the cauliflower sliders. My kids love the chicken. You sign a waiver if you want the hottest spice. I love hot but this is next level. The service is always super nice and they tell you Dave's sauce and honey make the sandwich hit. The music is great and the murals are amazing. We love you Dave's! read more

Such a fun place for chicken! The chicken is definitely hot! Make sure you pick something under what you would normally get to start! The wait was a bit long for food but did not disappoint! The interior art is also super unique, but they could maybe turn the volume of the music down a bit. read more

I came back again because my kids like the spicy chicken, I don't like their chicken it's so salty but I was disgusted and disappointed this establishment is asking a tip ? WTF ! The percentage is like your in the restaurant. No option not to give. I understand this staff are underpaid but why the customers are obligated to tip ? What's the difference between McDonald's, in and out, Arby's and other same service but they are not asking for tips. This is going overboard and shame on this company asking tips, who knows if this employees get the tips. I'm Not recommending this it's trash and despicable ! read more

If you're looking for a challenge spice wise, come here if you think you can handle extreme heat, then get the reefer but if you can't handle any heat, then get the nose spice as usual like probably you'd probably know that the food here is amazing but don't make the rookie mistake. If not getting intro sauce it is the best so if you come here, definitely you have to get Dave's sauce. The fries aren't spicy if you were wondering you could ask though to add seasoning to make it spicier from the chicken seasoning I think they might allow that but definitely recommend. Also I think they're nice to vegetarian people because they do have a vegetarian chicken and my opinion is just get the chicken by itself, but I don't know your preference so this is a really good place to go here. It's usually a really quick. Make sure if you do go order on the app. It's way easier and quicker. read more

Solid service and good chicken sliders (med heat). Very fresh, made to order. Definitely recommend!

Me and my husband's first time at Dave's Hot Chicken and our experience was underwhelming. The portion sizes were big and the chicken itself was very tender, juicy, and crunchy but the flavors were not there even when I dipped it in ranch. And the ranch is an additional cost of $1.49. The powdered seasoning that the chicken and fries are coated in is not that great and makes for a weird texture experience. Not bad just not good either. The orange sauce is sweet so you are getting a "sweet and savory experience" but didn't work for me. I tried the chicken and honey (not my vibe) but some may like it! Lastly, fries were crunchy and airy but tasted just like the chicken because of that powder seasoning. Ultimately, it was very mediocre in flavor and the atmosphere at this particular location was not very inviting. Also, women's restroom lock was broken and their shake machine was broken. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Had a #2 combo (2 sliders), one hot and one reaper. Both were excellent. The reaper is seriously hot. I enjoy spicy food and I did eat the whole slider, but it had to be consumed in sections at 2 different sittings. The reaper would be a fun timed bet/challenge with friends. Maybe recreate "hot one's" and ask difficult questions while the heat is building? By the time I found a private place to make love to the delicious food prepared by the friendly employees of Dave's, the fries were soggy. But I snagged a few from the bag on the drive and they were good when fresh. I can't blame them for this, the fries were hot and fresh when served. Not a bad first experience. Next time I'll get the hot and the one below reaper (extra hot?). Did I mention the employees were friendly? Place was mostly clean, especially considering foot traffic. I can't afford to eat out often, but prices were reasonable when accounting for cost increases/inflation everywhere. Thanks Dave's! read more

I had Kari B take my order and she was super nice and chill. I ended up coming back to place a second order, and while I was waiting for her to finish helping other customers, a heavy-set lady came out and started correcting Kari loudly in front of myself and about four other people. Honestly, she could've easily pulled Kari aside in the back to talk to her instead of calling her out in front of customers. If Kari was still training or unsure about something, I feel it would've been more appropriate and professional to handle that privately and with a better tone. The way it was done came across as really unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness. This happened on 8/27/25 around 5:30 pm. read more

Delicious food, fast service, fun ambiance! My go to order is the 1 hot slider and 1 extra hot tender. The fries are perfectly crispy and so good with the sauce they give you. I'm so glad they give you a side of pickles because I really enjoy them with my sandwich! The service is quick and they're always very friendly. This spot is always nice and clean when I go and the art on the walls are so fun! read more

Almost no customers. 4-5 staff, and we all still waited over 30 minutes for our orders. They weren't busy, just had ineffective staff

This location is the best! Ruben was so awesome, we had a huge order and a group of 10 people, yet he maintained patient and was very helpful. For us ordering so much food they made it in a timely manner and it was so fresh. They didn't get one thing wrong. I live in Gilbert, AZ but every time I'm in tucson I'll definitely make sure to stop at this location. 10/10 read more

Elijah was a great server who had good knowledge of the menu. Love the new menu items

I think the chicken sandwich was decent. I ordered the hot as my heat level, and it was not as hot as I was expecting it to be. The sauces were good, especially the combination of the honey with the Dave's sauce, but nothing mind-blowing. The food took about 15 minutes, and it was a decent amount for about 10 bucks. The chicken pieces in the sliders are pretty big. It was uncomfortably warm inside the restaurant though, which made sitting down to eat your meal in there not the most pleasant experience. read more

Solid place overall but if you're looking for the typical Nashville-style hot chicken, it's a little different since the only chicken offerings come in chicken tender form (either tender vs tender in a slider) instead of a choice of breast, thigh, or wing pieces. There are different combos to choose from which come with pickles, a side of fries, piece of toast, and Dave's sauce. After driving by a few times in the weeks after their opening, we finally found a time when the line wasn't completely out the door and got our food within 30 minutes. The chicken is tasty overall and isn't dry at all. We tried the tenders combo and the 1 tender and 1 slider combo. The mild and medium heat levels were just right for us, and the pickles and creaminess of Dave's sauce helped balance the spices. The slider comes with a slaw which adds a freshness to the sandwich. Since they're fairly new, there are a few kinks I think they're working still out in terms of managing lines and orders - we ordered online another time and it took about an hour to get our food, but hope that things will settle out as they get into the swing of things because the chicken is pretty delicious. read more

If you love chicken, especially chicken that seasoned to perfection, juicy for rash, you have to go to Dave's hot chicken. I have been waiting forever for them to bring one to Tucson and I am so glad that they did.. I would suggest ordering online unless you have a lot of time to wait. I was in the store for almost an hour and 45 minutes before I was able to get my order but it was well worth it. That's the only reason why I didn't give the five stars because of such a long wait but the ambience was amazing the staff very friendly and accommodating I love the decor the air brushing And I'm looking forward to returning multiple times but definitely placing my order online read more

Dave's Hot Chicken was pretty good, though with all of the attention they've been getting I think my expectations were too high! I ordered the #1 which was two tenders with fries, it felt a little pricey at over $13 after tax for a meal that came with a very small portion of fries and no drink. You can select your spice level which includes no spice, lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot, and reaper (this last one you have to sign a waver for). I decided to go with the medium spice, but to me it did not taste spicy at all. Flavor was pretty good but overall the chicken was just greasy, kind of a bummer. Their team was friendly and fast. They just opened so it was really busy, definitely anticipate a wait. I think it also would be better if they had a drive through, but interestingly enough they don't. You can order ahead online and pick up your order inside though. Overall, if friends wanted to check this place out I'd go but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

We went the 2nd day after they opened and it wasn't as crowded but there was still a line. Considering the line, they were very efficient and we didnt wait too long. The restaurant and bathroom was clean as well. Staff was friendly and our order was correct. I ordered a slider and fries at mild eat and my fiancé did a slider and strip at the hot level. The fries were good. I dont normally like crinkle cut fries but they fried them and seasoned them really well. The mild wasn't spicy at all so I think Ill try medium next. Hot however...no thank you lol. My mouth was on fire and the next day my fiancé's stomach was not happy. But if you usually go for super hot food, then you'd probably like it. It dont like when stuff is so hot it doesn't have flavor and that's how I felt. He also got a vanilla milkshake and it was good. You can tell its real ice cream. The soda machine ran out of ice but it was crushed ice and I LOVE crushed ice lol. read more

Definitely a tasty chicken sandwich, but it's very expensive for what it is. Dave's is a fun place to go with a really cool and hip atmosphere. The sandwiches and chicken tenders themselves are seasoned well and they come in a variety of spice levels to suit anyone's preferences. The problem was that the tender size varies so much that my sandwich had a really little chicken finger for the price. The fries were nearly perfect, but that sandwich was almost all bun. I went back to get just a single finger for the road, and it was a lot bigger, and and the friendly staff even sped up the order for me so I could get it quickly to go. A delicious meal with unique flavors for fast food, just be expected to pay more than you'd think. read more

This isn't new to me, we've been going to other branches in California. I just want to check out how this branch is compared to the ones I have been to. Food is still good, specially when it's fresh. Spicy is not that hot. And since they employ young people, service is fast. And the restaurant has a younger generation vibe in it. You can tell by the paintings on the wall. Young crowd hang out more so. read more

Good always takes FOREVER. However, I don't blame the employees attitude as the AC has been broken for a while now. I've been here twice in the last 2 months and it's ALWAYS blazing hot. Not fair to the staff there and not fair to the paying customers. Unfortunately never returning here. I gave it a second chance after trying it in Irvine, CA but if management does not care about the AC I cannot imagine what else they don't care about. Please fix the AC. Thanks. read more

Horrible atmosphere. Bathrooms are dirty, lock is messed up and does not work properly. Towel dispenser was not loaded. There was no soap in dispenser and the worker was rude when asked questions. Like if sweeping the dining room was the most of her worries. When everything is not up to par in store. Hopefully the food is not horrible. The woman taking orders was friendly and had a great attitude maybe the only thing going good in this place. Heard great things but it's not looking good so far.
