Angel was so sweet! I had an iskender and ayran. It was so good. Highly recommend! I love the ambiance as well!

Can't believe I had no eaten here yet. Tucked away in Geronimo Plaza this place has indoor and cozy outdoor seating. Flavorful food... we had the Mezze Platter which I enjoyed as a meal. The beyti sarma was delicious and beautifully presented. Large portion sizes. Staff were good about explaining/ describing the dishes if asked. The street car has a stop by the plaza and there is a parking garage adjacent ( it does cost to park... but worth it). This place is close to the university- so street parking is available but challenging. Will definitely return.

    Apple tea and Turkish coffee

Cute quiet little place tucked back on University Blvd. We tried the Turkish coffee (tiny cup, very tasty, thick at the bottom of the cup when finished- maybe it was supposed to be stirred?!) and hot apple tea (yum!) There were a variety of dishes, all sounding delicious, but opted for a couple wraps (preferred the taste of the falafel one over the beef/lamb.) Service was a little slow and they mixed up our wraps (we didn't realize it until a few bites in) but overall, it's a nice little place with a good selection of eats and drinks!

First time trying Turkish food and it wont be the last. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating, it seems like a family run business. Very eclectic looking restaurant which was very tastefully decorated in the Turkish style. A little hard to find a park with many trees blocks the sign, but it is worthwhile to take the time to find it.

The food here is always great. Highly recommend Iksendar Kebab and dolma Service - friendly and supporting a family business! Ambiance - nice outdoor seating at nice. Peaceful yet lively.

Falafel wrap looked tasty until seeing/tasting the burned wrap

Excited to try a new place in the area. Went on a busy night as there was a show nearby but was able to be seated quickly. Server was available to answer questions about the menu and offered suggestions. Decor was authentic with some Turkish lamps near our table. Unfortunately I can't give a good rating of the food. Order of hummus for appetizer didn't show up. Apparently it was given to another table. We did get that after asking again but at that point we had our main plates. The hummus was good but many of the pita were BURNED on the bottom and inedible. Ordered a falafel wrap that came with fries and salad. Unfortunately my wrap was also burned so had to send this back as the taste was not good. Couldn't wait for it to be made again. Probably won't be back and will stick to other nearby options.

Loved my falafel wrap! I don't like when it's too soft, and I like that it's a bit more crisp here. Hummus is also on the more decent side of hummus I've had in Tucson.

Came here for lunch with our toddler and enjoyed sitting outside. Servers were friendly and patient with our little one. We enjoyed the mucver as a starter with a side of very fresh salad with yogurt dressing. My husband had Iskender Kebap and I ordered gyro döner. Tender, flavorful meat, buttery rice, and rich yogurt sauce on the Iskender. The ayran yogurt drink and sherbet were refreshing drinks on a hot day. Highly recommend.

    Delicious

Thanks Angel, food is delicious and especially baklava is the best I have eaten in the USA

Unassuming location in the back of the strip mall, with ATL Wings and Peter Piper Pizza, across from Park Place Mall. Such a unique dining experience. You walk in and it doesn't even feel like you're still in Tucson,…read morethe lights are low, and there's columns and a waterfall. It's such a cool aesthetic. Having not had Persian food before, we were grateful for our friendly and knowledgeable waiter. He even brought my husband the can for the beer he ordered so he could see what he was drinking, which was a Persian lager. I had a sip and it was really good. He also showed me how to find what art was hanging if I was curious. Definitely went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. We ended up getting the eggplant and hummus dip with levash and the Persian room special player which included saffron rice, chicken, filet mignon, and koobideh, who was like a meatball that was cooked on a skewer. Everything was so good, the chicken was actually my favorite it was so juicy. Took a baklava home and it was so good! It tasted a little lighter than others I've tried, like phyllo dough was a little different but I loved it. Recommend checking out this place at least once!

My husband asked about the bread and we were told that it is not gluten free. It was busy, with several families with young children. Someone came right over and gave us water and bread with onions, herbs and butter. My husband said the bread was good. Our server arrived shortly and told our drink order. When she returned with our wine, we ordered the Dolmas appetizer. It didn't take long for the appetizer to arrive and we both enjoyed. We hadn't eaten for many hours so we were quite hungry and ready to enjoy eating. Our entree's took a bit longer to arrive. My husband got the Lamb Loin and said it was quite good. It was a generous portion. I didn't get a photo because it disappeared quickly. I got the Chicken Barg Sultani, which was tasty and an extremely generous portion. I ended up bringing half of it home. I wouldn't call the Persian Room a romantic restaurant, as it was quite noisy when we were there. It is more of an old school, upscale decor with a casual feel. Most people were in shorts and t shirts. It was the dinner hour, so perhaps it would be more quiet earlier or later. There are a lot of choices on the menu, a full bar and an eclectic wine list. We have tried a lot of restaurants in the four years we've lived in Tucson. Most of the time I think it would have been better if I'd cooked it myself. Sometimes it's just nice to not have to shop for a variety of ingredients. This was one of those times. We wanted something different, and the experience was enjoyable.
