Had a great experience here and was so excited to hear there were gluten free options! They're not labeled on the menu but the waitress let me know they have gluten free pasta ! I didn't try all of these but this is what the said was gluten free: the appetizers octopus and the chef salumi one, all of the sides, all of the salads besides croutons, entrees the steak, the sea bass, and all of the pastas had a gluten free option. We had the Di casa with shrimp and pasta à la primavera, both were fantastic paired with wine. My mom loved the tiramisu which I've tried prior before I was gluten free and it is so delicious. It wasn't too busy but best to make a reservation since they have happy hour in the wine bar. Service was great and prompt as well.

I tried Passagio for the first time last night with two friends and while the food was fantastic, the service and overall experience were seriously lacking. We had patio reservations for 5:15 and were seated right next to the only other occupied table- a mother and two children. A minute later, the hostess returned to turn on the heater at the other table's request (both kids had sweatshirts hanging over the backs of their chairs) and we asked if that couldn't wait a little bit, since it was 75 degrees outside. Instead of offering to move us to one of the two unoccupied tables away from the heater, the hostess just giggled and turned it on anyway. Our waiter was fantastic at first and super attentive, but an hour later, when two other tables were seated on the patio (the mother and children had left,) it was like he forgot we were there. We sat with empty dessert plates for at least 30 minutes before my friend went inside to find someone to get our check. We were told our server would be right out, and he was, but he took both the other tables' orders and went back inside without acknowledging us or looking our way. We went inside to find someone to cash us out (we'd been there more than an hour and a half at this point,) and were asked to wait in the lounge area by the entrance while someone got our sever. He came over a few minutes later and asked us if we wanted to order anything else, which was frustrating, since we were standing by the exit with to-go boxes in hand and very clearly trying to leave, No one ever apologized or even acknowledged the situation. For a meal that cost more than $200 for the three of us, I would have hoped for decent service and at least an acknowledgment that this was not the ideal end to our experience. The food was amazing and even though I live five minutes away, I doubt I'll be back, unless it's for a to-go order (the meatballs and chicken Parmesan were top notch.) This was a very disappointing experience at a restaurant that I'd really been looking forward to trying.

Such a beautiful atmosphere! So elegant! We were the first to arrive when they opened. It quickly filled up, so reservations are advised. They had a huge variety of food. The wait staff were knowledgeable and so nice, really went above and beyond. Would make a great date night! Their serving sizes are HUGE! So you may want to split with someone else at the table or arrive really really hungry!!!

We had the good fortune of visiting Passagio this last weekend for our anniversary. Years ago when this was Primo we had our 1 year anniversary there and a few others. It was one of our favorite places in Tucson. This year as a reconnection to those prior anniversaries we decided to try Passagio, and it exceeded our expectations. First, we were very lucky to find ourselves at the same table of our first anniversary. While we did pay the $20 to make sure we had a window seat, we did not know which one we would get and we got "our corner". The extra cost was worth it to us for a special events. The decor is now more Italian than French, but just as relaxed and elegant. The staff were amazing. Our waitress, Maria, was extraordinary. She was excited that we were having our anniversary there and was gracious and celebratory. She actually had several tables with special events and she treated everyone with the same joy and dedication. We even took pictures with different groups of us. The food also held up to our expectations. We had the bruschetta to start. All were delicious but we loved the pear and Gorgonzola. It was sweet and tart. Next we had a Kale salad and a Beet Salad. Again, the preparation for each was perfect. The kale was prepared correctly so it was easy to eat and the beets were fresh. The flavors were well balanced, nothing was over dressed, you could taste the actual salad, and everything was fresh. For the main course we had the Venison and the Scollop pasta. The venison melted in your mouth and the herbs and greens brought a freshness to the dish. Squid ink pasta can get chewy and rubbery as can Scollops. Both were wonderfully prepared. The scollops also melted in our mouths and the pasta was perfectly aldente and paired nicely with the scollops. Finally, we shared the hazelnut and chocolate desert with caramel gelato. I am not a big fan of chocolate so I loved the added hazelnut and the caramel gelato was something I could not stop eating. Just enough salt to make you want more. My spouse loves chocolate and found it a celebration of chocolate. For drinks, they had a nice selection of Scotch which is our go to drink. The wine list paired nicely with the meal, and I tried their version of an old fashioned which was perfectly balanced and beautiful tonloo Overall, the meal, the service, the ambiance were all excellent. The chef and team have done an excellent job of establishing themselves as a well respected fine dining addition to the Tucson scene.

Great Mediterranean steakhouse inside the JW Marriott Star Pass. Wanted pizza for dinner but their brick oven was broken so opted for their rib eye. Oh La La!! Well seasoned and the truffle butter added a nice enhancement. And the star of the night was their Caesar salad with anchovies. It was simple but the anchovy elevated it. Overall it was a nice dining experience and will definitely come back!

Beautiful restaurant on site. Our server was super sweet and even offered to give us dessert when she accidentally got one of our entrees wrong. Chef also sent over a nice surprise of blueberry mousse with pistachio which sounded strange but was SO good! Food was delicious and fresh ingredients from the hotel garden are pointed out on the menu. Beautiful views of the resort grounds through the huge glass window walls. We preferred this over their other restaurant for sure.

do yourself a favor and be sure to come to this restaurant. talk about feeling elegant and classy - this restaurant is one of a kind. although we came here just for a late night dessert, i can't wait to come back to tucson and try the other food. from the ambiance, to the kitchen views, and smells - it's fantastic. my boyfriend and i ordered the tiramisu and the raspberry lemon cake. the raspberry lemon cake was the perfect spongy, moist texture and the mascarpone and ice cream only enhanced the flavor profile. the tiramisu was unique and different than previous tiramisu i've had; served in a beautiful glass, layered to perfection and topped with the most delicious cookie crumbles. highly recommend both desserts! our server was very kind and made the experience even better. we will be back for sure! thank you, passaggio!

We arrived at 12:30 and they were slammed. No available parking, so my daughter dropped me off (so sweet) and parked a couple doors down. The dining room was packed and noisy. The young man who greeted us said he'd have a table in ten minutes or we could sit in the air conditioned patio area. That's what we did. The patio was quiet and a large fan blowing over a trough of ice kept us cool and comfortable. We started with an appetizer of hummus, tzatziki, pita, and dolmades, with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes. The tzatziki was the best I've had. The sliced veggies were great so my celiac daughter could scoop the yummy spreads instead of pita. As lamb lovers, we ordered the lamb kabob plate and the lamb clay pot. The plate came with scrumptious rice, Greek salad, and sliced veg. The clay pot was filled with diced potatoes, tomatoes, and tender cubes of lamb, beautifully seasoned. So much delicious food! Our waiter offered dessert, but we were stuffed and settled for to-go boxes. I had an excellent lunch for two more days! As a big fan of Mediterranean food, I don't know how I could have missed Istanbul, but my first time surely won't be my last.

One of those pop up menus is an Indian street food menu that is fully vegetarian and also egg free (Indian pure vegetarian.) My husband and I went a couple times, once in May 2025 and once in Feb 2026 and it was delicious and beautifully plated. My review for the food itself is 5 stars. During those two visits we tried: (May 2025) -Pani Puri: Fresh and delicious and I recommend ordering it spicy if you eat spicy. -Samosa Chaat : This was a 5 star dish for me! It was the best samosa I have ever had with the most delicious toppings and condiments. We asked for yogurt on the side, I'd totally get that again. My second favorite dish here! -Dabeli: This was a 5 star dish for me! It was a perfectly balanced work of art with the delicious filling and bun and the pomegranate and peanuts on top. Super fresh and so so delicious. I would absolutely return just for that- my favorite dish here!! (Feb, 2026) -Sev Puri: This was good. the fried potato on the cracker was fresh and I really liked the sauce mix on it with tamarind. It reminded me a little bit of the filling in Trinidadian doubles. We asked for yogurt on the side. -Pav Bhaaji: This was good but my least favorite dish here. I think probably just because of how amazing the others are though. This one also contains clarified butter which I don't typically eat. I liked it with the lime and raw onions added to the curry. -Vada Pav : This was my favorite from today's dishes! I loved the perfectly fried spicy green chili pepper in it. I wish I didn't eat that whole chilli pepper in one bite because I wanted more when it was gone. My husband experienced it the same way. He also noted how fluffy the potato was inside like mashed potato. This was perfect for sharing since there were two. This dish is native to Maharashtra. - Aloo tiki chaat : This was good. the fried potato patty reminded me a tad of a potato latke. Toppings were good and included mint. We asked for yogurt on the side Both times we sat on the patio and enjoyed a relaxed dinner. When we came in May they were very nice to check if we were happy with spice level or wanted more spice and talked to us about the food. They seemed passionate about it and It made for a really fun and interesting experience. When we came in February, we had less engagement with staff. A couple things I would like to note: 1. They add a service fee of 10% on bills without notifying the costumer. The first time I went, since they didn't notify me of that before I paid or gave me a detailed bill, I left a tip over that total amount that already included 10%. I do think it should be communicated to customers in advance. When I realized this and pointed it out to them they did refund it. The second time I remembered there was a fee but I noticed it was still not communicated to me a head of ordering. I don't appreciate that business practice of hidden fees and that is the reason I lowered to 4 stars. The food itself is 5 stars for me. 2. I would not recommend their pop ups for people with severe allergies. I was hoping and still hope they eventually transition the restaurant to Indian or add a regular Indian menu. Especially since there is only one restaurant in the Tucson area that serve south indian food (Spice Garden Indian Cuisine in Marana) . I have yet to try the mediterranean food here aside from a complimentary baklava in May which was not my favorite. Sounds like the two current owners bought the business sometimes around January 2025 and I am curious (and really hope ) to see the Indian dishes become a more regular part of the menu on a daily basis. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!
