Our first time trying this place, based on reviews, we expected so much, but it was a disappointment. It was recognized as the best grill in Tucson in 2018 and featured on Guy Fieri's show. But that was years ago. As we walked in, the restaurant, compared to other places we've been, lacked visual stimulation. The place was dull; the décor, tables, and chairs were very basic. Only one server worked the floor, and he even forgot our order. His excuse was that he wrote it on a different piece of paper. The food was okay, but there was no "wow" factor.

We got the chef's surprise here for 3 - it was essentially a giant meat platter with chicken breast, pork and beef sausages, gyro, and skewers over 3 different types of rice, broccoli with cheese, and salad. It was a lot of food and we had enough leftovers for several meals afterwards. All the meats were slightly on the saltier side; the chicken was kinda dry, but the gyro and skewer tasted pretty good.

Dishes were obviously being prepared by mom and dad in the back. Everything was fresh and made well! Cabbage salad was my favorite. Great homemade bread.

Arrived and sat by the windows. By the time I left this place was full.

Food is amazing. Staff cares and you can see it. Triple D got it right. Thank you for being true to your reputation.

Great little place in an unexpected location. Casual and fragrant atmosphere. This restaurant is BYOB, so bring your favorite wine to enjoy and the restaurant will supply the glasses. We ordered the mixed grill for 4 and brought home days worth of leftovers! Service is friendly and the food is savory, hearty and definitely tastes homemade. We will definitely return, to try more menu items.

I'm not familiar with Bosnian food, but it was a good experience. The restaurant is small and pretty modest. It's tucked away in a low key multiple story building that feels more like an office complex. My friend and I got the mixed grill for two and it allowed us to try a few different items. The portions were generous. The service was nice and polite. Definitely check this place out.

Pictures of Guy Fieri and Chef Alisah in the restaurant and a great selection of Milka chocolates which are hard to find in the U.S.

Saw this place on Guy Fieri's DDD and I happened to be in Tucson so I had to try it. Fast service even though it is all cooked to order. Chef Alisah cooks everything. He was very nice. I was disappointed he was out of goulash though. I had the surprise platter. It was enormous, but it should be for $75. Divide that by the 4 people it serves and it's a good value for the quality of food.

Cevapi - 10 sausages, and homemade bread

It took me 15 years of living in Tucson to finally give this place a try. After one meal, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. First and foremost, the food was delicious. Between the Cevapi, Chicken Schnitzel, and bread, it really felt like I was eating a home prepared meal that was one of a kind. The purple paint on the walls and table setting...not super appealing. But, who am I kidding? If you're going here for a meal, it's for the food, and you will not be disappointed.

I hadn't been here in several years and ordered something new this time. We shared 2 entrees, the cabbage rolls and the Goulash. The food was home cooked deliciousness! The meat in the goulash was super tender and I loved the simple cabbage salad that came with it. Our server said the dressing is just oil, vinegar and s&p. The cabbage rolls were the best I've ever had. The sauerkraut that comes inside of them added another depth of flavor. The portion size is just right on those entrees. Our server was great.

The main problem has been an overly noisy main dining room that makes it difficult to hear conversations at the table. There is always a long list of specials that are read by the server. Never mentioning the price. Last night I ordered a shrimp appetizer that came with 3 grilled shrimp, and an order of halibut. The bill for the 3 shrimp came to $26, and the halibut was $58. Additionally there was a surprise extra charge of 4% added to the total bill that I could not understand even after the server tried to explain it. The food was ok, not anything special and they have markedly reduced the vegetables and salad that usually accompany the entree. Going forward I would suggest that prices be included in the description of the specials and extra charges be posted up front. At this point the prices have become too high for the value of the experience.

We've been coming here for many years since they were in their old location. Noplace else in town does presentation like Wild Garlic. The dishes are always stunning. If you want to impress someone, this is the place to take them. They seem like they are protein focused due to their emphasis on quality steaks and seafood, but the plates have a wide variety of vegetables to accompany the protein. Root vegetables, asparagus, and the sauces really make the meal. It's not like going to a steakhouse where you get a lonely slab of meat - here you get a well-rounded plate. Our server was wonderful - so pleasant, and did a great job of memorizing the specials, because they always are extensive. We don't come here as often as we should - we really love the place.

They forgot to add the dill at first but brought me some when I asked. I added my own sour cream that I make by draining my homemade dairy- free yogurt. I really enjoyed trying their sauerkraut as they make it quite different than the one I make so it was fun and interesting. I enjoyed the pierogies but wished there were more mushrooms in the filling for more mushroom flavor and juiciness. I also wished the onions were more caramelized and browned. The dough didn't make me emotional thinking of my Polish grandma (I literally was brought to tears when I had the soft and tender vegan pierogies at Red Rock Deli in Albuquerque) but it was definitely good still and I am happy they added a vegan option. I hope to see more! It seemed to me like the service here would be great. Adorable place! It definitely delivered where it mattered most, especially for my husband's Polish DNA cravings. The pierogies were good, the gołąbki held their own, and the salad... well, it showed up and did its job. No drama there. The space is where this place really leans in. Cute, full of character, with decor and music that actually make you feel like you've stepped into something authentic. That part gets an easy five stars. Service was warm and genuine. I didn't catch her name, but our server, a lovely young woman with long braids, was attentive, helpful, and made thoughtful suggestions without overdoing it. All in, it's not the kind of place you detour hours for, but if you find yourself nearby and craving something hearty and nostalgic, Polish Cottage fits the bill nicely. Sometimes a meal just needs to hug you a little, and this one did.
