First time here and I was really impressed. My husband and I ordered the Special Gyro with lamb,…read morepork belly, and beef steak along with dolmades and baklava. He got a side of French fries and I got the Greek fries. Every part of the meal tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and it was clear from the first bite that they take pride in what they make. The baklava had the perfect mix of honey, crunch, and sweetness. It is made in house and has a fresh, rich flavor that stands out right away. The dolmades were just as good. I could eat them every day. It is rare to find a place that still makes their appetizers, sauces, desserts, and other items in house, and it really adds to the charm. The gentleman who took our order was warm and friendly, which made the visit even better. I usually go for lamb skewers when I visit Greek restaurants, but this time I wanted to try their gyro. The pita was cooked to perfection. It was soft and had that fresh dough taste that only comes from bread made in house. The meat was juicy and full of flavor. Overall, I was very happy with the entire experience from the service to the food. We ordered to go and did not have to wait long. Prices are average for Greek food in the area, and what you get is friendly service, fresh ingredients, and flavorful food.

Didn't have to wait long as the food came out rather quickly. Portion was generous but a little on the pricey side for a gyro. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. I'd go back if I'm in the area to try other items on the menu.

We arrived at 12:30 and they were slammed. No available parking, so my daughter dropped me off (so sweet) and parked a couple doors down. The dining room was packed and noisy. The young man who greeted us said he'd have a table in ten minutes or we could sit in the air conditioned patio area. That's what we did. The patio was quiet and a large fan blowing over a trough of ice kept us cool and comfortable. We started with an appetizer of hummus, tzatziki, pita, and dolmades, with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes. The tzatziki was the best I've had. The sliced veggies were great so my celiac daughter could scoop the yummy spreads instead of pita. As lamb lovers, we ordered the lamb kabob plate and the lamb clay pot. The plate came with scrumptious rice, Greek salad, and sliced veg. The clay pot was filled with diced potatoes, tomatoes, and tender cubes of lamb, beautifully seasoned. So much delicious food! Our waiter offered dessert, but we were stuffed and settled for to-go boxes. I had an excellent lunch for two more days! As a big fan of Mediterranean food, I don't know how I could have missed Istanbul, but my first time surely won't be my last.

We ordered drinks and studied the menu some and put in orders for the Aspasia and hummus plates along with the big (we had no idea it was that big) family mix grill and chicken and beef shawarma. We received the Aspasia plate first and it was delicious! The kibbeh was so good but so was everything else. The mixed grill plate was awesome. The hummus and baba ghanoush were incredible. I don't think I can get enough superlatives into this write up to fully convey not only how good this food is but also how authentic it all was. Of course our server timed all the deliveries to our table so that everything came out correctly and at the right time. The inside of the restaurant is actually a big room, sparsely decorated with simple tables and chairs but again it added to the charm and authenticity of the cafes from the Middle East region. There is no other place in Tucson like this and I highly recommend this to you to go and try. There is plenty here to try and enjoy.

We had many of the food items on the menu, and they were all really good. The chicken in the Chicken Kebab (Shish Tawook) Plate was so tender! The Mediterranean Salad is very good for a lighter meal. The House Rice and sauces were great additions.

I was charged, given a confirmation number, and a pickup time of 7:37pm. When I arrived just after 7:30pm for my takeout, the employee came to the window and told me that they closed early and aren't doing anymore orders. When I showed him my confirmation email receipt he told me it doesn't matter and that I needed to go home. When I explained that I already paid and asked for a refund he flat out said no and that it's not his problem. When I pressed further for an explanation to why their website would take an order if they're closed and demanded a refund, he pretended not to understand me anymore and told me to leave. Caravan Grill is open until 8pm, this can be confirmed on Google and the hours posted on their door. I'm beyond frustrated that they would take my order, charge my card, and send me a confirmation email with a pickup time only to close early. Additionally, how can you charge me and then not provide the service I paid for and deny me a refund? Lastly, why the rude attitude with me like I'm at fault for ordering food. This is absolutely insane business practice. It truly feels illegal, because WTF am I suppose to do? They stole $50 from me! Confirmation email attached for proof

Hubby is also stuck on his Gyro Deluxe $15.75 with Greek Salad. Has the most balanced dressing, just oily & tart enough but a tad sweet. Asked the owner, Reyna who is a delight btw, that I had met on our 2nd visit what exactly was in it...simply oil & vinegar turns out, the latter being Apple Cider not Red Vinegar..aha, the slight sweet. The menu has the Middle Eastern go-tos that we ordered but read along and discover it leans Jordanian and is quite extensive with family platters and stews. Notably too, their bar stocks several Middle Eastern beers, that we still need to pop. Unassuming location in the back of the strip mall, with ATL Wings and Peter Piper Pizza, across from Park Place Mall.
