Saganaki

Yes, all of my pictures were of the flaming Saganaki that's awesome and yummy. It was! The restaurant was clean and the paintings and music and there was very vibrant. I really appreciated the customer service that we received and our food came out very quickly. I highly recommend stopping at this restaurant and the prices were not too bad either.

Gyro Greek Fries

Was craving some Greek food and decided to check out Opa's. So glad I did! Located next to Lindy's on 4th, this small Greek restaurant is delicious. They provide free pita, cucumbers, and humus while you decide what you want to eat. I ordered the Gyro with feta and a side of Greek fries. Everything about the dish was tasty. The servings of meat were also impressive. I'll be back just for the amount of gyro meat they use! Service was also fast and friendly. Definitely check it out for some yummy Gyros!

If you've never tasted heaven, then you should try the tzatziki sauce from this Opas grill, it was so absolutely amazing!!!!! my favorite so far of any place!!! Crispy fresh salad, The chicken was seasoned so perfectly! I was so happy with the gyro and all of the food from here even including the Greek fries I would order from here every time I visit Tucson!!! I got this food from DoorDash and the bags were tied nicely. No Fries went missing ha ha! This is a definite keeper! Next time I'll order the tzatziki appetizer!!

While entering, we were asked if we would like a table or a booth. The booth seat was not thoroughly cleaned as there was food on the seat which was my first impression. The food is fairly priced. I like that they bring complimentary pita bread with hummus and tzatziki sauce. The tzatzikizi was the best I have had. Our gyro and falafel wraps were good. They also offer a margarita with a Greek liquor which was flavorful on another hot Tucson weekend.

My first time at this location. They have a big dining area and a nice patio seatings. I could just imagine this place gets packed on the weekends. They have great food and superb service. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I went here for lunch for the first time yesterday with a friend. I love that they bring out the pita bread with cucumbers and tzatziki sauce while you peruse the menu. It also had another sauce and both were reeeeeeaally good! I'm talking better than any I've had. Just flavorful and delicious! I even got some to go! The pita bread was kind of dry but it's okay. My friend also ordered baba ghanoush, which I did not try, but she gave me some of the pita bread, which were very different from the pita bread that came to the table prior. These ones were very soft. I ordered the spicy chicken wrap and it was okay. The spiciness I believe comes from the orange sauce that comes with it which had a heavy hot sauce flavor. The meat alone, as stated, was not spicy and though it carried many spices visibly, I felt the seasoning could be more plentiful for taste. The fries were perfect, though there could have been more. All in all though, I felt they gave a good portion for $14. The service was good and the interior was bigger than I would've imagined. They have outdoor and indoor seating, as well as some pretty mural inside.

Moussaka
Chelsea J.

This place is just so good and the service is great. The portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. Tonight we had the Moussaka and combo plate with Gyro and chicken. I had never had Moussaka before and I loved it. It's a Greek lasagna with eggplant instead of pasta. The gyro meat was a tad crisp which I don't mind and the chicken was so tender. The tzatziki is addicting.

Falafel Burger

Pretty good overall. The falafel burger was tasty without being greasy. The gyro meat was good. Both plates were tasty. My only issue was some of the lettuce was wilted to rotten with black slime. I picked these pieces out and pointed them out to the waiter who re-asked if everything was okay. Pinpointed and asked if he would eat these leaves. He smiled and shook his head no. Well that brought no discount. Furthermore, it was my friend's birthday but they don't do anything for birthdays. Just saying...

Gyro Wrap

The service and food were great and fast. They're even better in person than delivery. I love the grilled wraps and the spicy garlic sauce. One of my fav Tucson spots.

located inside american eats. there is very limited parking here so be warned you might have to park on the parallel parking street. the food is very reasonably priced. it was 30$ for teo people. we got the wrap and the gyro platter. food came it quick and was delicious. my only complaint is the gyro plate was a lot of meat and not enough pita bread

Gyro

Amazing, authentic food. Good, clean location. Huge portions. Fair prices. Quick service. In our party we tried a gyro and 2 chicken platters. All were amazing. The food is a little on the heavy side, as everything had oil or butter. But this also made it amazingly delicious. The meats of the gyro and chicken especially had perfect seasoning and were about as extremely far away from bland as one could get. In the chicken platter the rice was as fluffy as little clouds and well seasoned. The flavor is something I cannot describe, except to say it tasted like salt and herbs and butter. Lots of butter, haha. I got to taste the gyro and it was awesome, but it did look a bit on the heavy side. Looked totally worth it though! My only complaint here is the Greek salad which came as a side on the chicken platter. It was very meh, and had to eat around it. A massive raw pepper ring and lots of raw pieces topped the huge pile of lettuce with a generous portion of feta and tomato. Just a few olives and slices of cucumber. It was way overdressed for my taste as everything was totally soaked in dressing. Overall though we really enjoyed the experience here and would totally come back again.

Great, I believe to be, locally-owned Greek spot with excellent location. The food and drinks were good portions for the price. We came in with a larger party and were sat close to the other large party. The service was OK, sometimes things needed to be asked for a few times.

We went on Black Friday and it was not that crowded, but the parking lot was packed so I parked down the street in the metered parking and headed in. Very friendly staff, seated promptly, and given a plate with pitas and hummus while we waited. Yum, large, delicious plate of food to tide us over while we looked at the large lunch and dinner menus. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki pita and had them add Feta, which they did no problem. Large and delicious and it came with some golden crispy tasty French fries. Less than $13, filling, and scrumptious. The server checked on us a few times and even brought more water without us asking. Nice touch and thoughtful. Except for the parking hassle, everything was great, and I am looking forward to going back and trying more items off the large menu.

He got a side of French fries and I got the Greek fries. Every part of the meal tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and it was clear from the first bite that they take pride in what they make. The baklava had the perfect mix of honey, crunch, and sweetness. It is made in house and has a fresh, rich flavor that stands out right away. The dolmades were just as good. I could eat them every day. It is rare to find a place that still makes their appetizers, sauces, desserts, and other items in house, and it really adds to the charm. The gentleman who took our order was warm and friendly, which made the visit even better. I usually go for lamb skewers when I visit Greek restaurants, but this time I wanted to try their gyro. The pita was cooked to perfection. It was soft and had that fresh dough taste that only comes from bread made in house. The meat was juicy and full of flavor. Overall, I was very happy with the entire experience from the service to the food. We ordered to go and did not have to wait long. Prices are average for Greek food in the area, and what you get is friendly service, fresh ingredients, and flavorful food.

It you want slices typical to kebabs or gyro sandwiches, get the Istanbul pita, which was what my husband got. Lots of seating for small and big groups! Service was decent, but not sure how it is on a really busy night. We came at lunch time, so about 8-9 tables and our server didn't check in on us much after we got our meal, which was out pretty quick after we ordered. We did have to wait and stop her to ask for more napkins and water but other than that, friendly staff. Would recommend checking this place out!

We ordered drinks and studied the menu some and put in orders for the Aspasia and hummus plates along with the big (we had no idea it was that big) family mix grill and chicken and beef shawarma. We received the Aspasia plate first and it was delicious! The kibbeh was so good but so was everything else. The mixed grill plate was awesome. The hummus and baba ghanoush were incredible. I don't think I can get enough superlatives into this write up to fully convey not only how good this food is but also how authentic it all was. Of course our server timed all the deliveries to our table so that everything came out correctly and at the right time. The inside of the restaurant is actually a big room, sparsely decorated with simple tables and chairs but again it added to the charm and authenticity of the cafes from the Middle East region. There is no other place in Tucson like this and I highly recommend this to you to go and try. There is plenty here to try and enjoy.
