Like the new location very much. More open/spacious. We liked the self-service beverage/condiment/take-out box counter. Well, gotta say the food was excellent. As good (maybe even a tad better) than the Golf Links location. The calamari was great as always, the chicken marsala and parm were both very good and portioned enough for two meals each. Always appreciate the little dish of pasta salad and garlic bread appetizer. A definite keeper for great food, friendly staff and an expanded dining area. so let's start with the positive cuz there's definitely more positive than negative service was amazing. very attentive staff. all courteous, smiling faces. just wonderful! portions are humongous usually. unless you're a huge eater, you're going to have a second meal the next day! presentation is beautiful All in all a great experience. I have been to the one on golf Links numerous times and have always ordered the same . The side spaghetti with marinara which was really good and again very generous and I always order the veggies... This time around very disappointed overly salty. The spinach was definitely not in addition to but dragged the dish down. I think more basic is better. I couldn't find the mushrooms so there wasn't very many which was a disappointment. I would not recommend this as a side dish at this time. also maybe it's just the building with the acoustics. wow it was loud in there. I get it much bigger building more traffic. just hard to talk! There were spackle marks where old pictures had been. A fresh coat of paint would be nice when it can be done. All in all again as always, a good experience eating at Nate's just a little bit more of fine tuning and it will be perfect like the other location. read more

Picked up a to go order. It was ready as noted on the online ordering. The service was friendly. The portion was enough for 3 servings. The chicken picante is my favorite. The pasta was just right, the chicken was moist and it has enough sauce to cover everything. Quick service, large servings, it was great. read more

I would give this place six stars if I could. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The food portions are gigantic. I suggest treating them family style for the optimal experience. We brought our standard Poodle as my dad is a 100% disabled service connected Vietnam air Vet. The staff there bent over backwards to accommodate us. They gave us a nice table in the corner and also filtered water for the dog. Keep in mind this isn't a 100% service joint. I mean they bring your food to you and they bust the table for you. But that's about the service you get. Regardless, they had Dr Pepper on top so I was happy along with iced tea. And the food was amazing. The lasagna was enough for multiple people. My dad got pasta and meatballs, and it came with three huge meatballs that were a little spicy. They had a wonderful Italian flavor. We are definitely adding this location and restaurant to our short list. And in the words of the former governor of California, I'll be back. read more

I took a couple of friends to the new Nate's location. I was pleased that it was a lot larger than the eastside one. Same vibe, which I'm not a fan. The food is outstanding, however, given the prices, you must order at the counter, self-serve drinks and refills. I asked and was told the owner wanted to keep things the same as the other one. I had the monster lasagna and it is truly a monster, but for $25 it should be. It comes with a side salad. There is plenty to take home and my husband & I had another meal from it. The portions are huge. One friend had the blue cheese & steak pasta. She said it was good and had a couple more meals of it. My other friend was very disappointed that they didn't have an Italian beef sandwich, so she ordered a reuben. She took half of it home as well. The seats in the dining room are wood and not very comfortable. After you order, they bring the food out to you. I am not a fan of ordering and contemplating a tip before you are served your food. There seems to be plenty of available staff, so why don't they just have table service and stop this making us order like a fast food place. The prices indicate a nice restaurant, so please cut out the self service stuff. It is very loud in the restaurant, the acoustics are non-existent. All said, I like Nate's but I wish they would stop the self-serve BS and wait on us, especially, the new location. read more

This is situated where an El Charro used to be on Campbell and Prince in the Safeway shopping center. I love that it is open and spacious so you won't be hearing other people's conversations when you are seated. We were greeted when we walked in the door and were able to choose our table. You order at the cashier and then go get your drinks at the back of the restaurant. While we were waiting for our food, they bring a basket of super amazing garlic bread that you need to restrain yourself from eating too much as well as a bowl of pesto pasta. Warning: the portions are HUGE!!! You can easily share with two other people. We ordered baked ziti which comes with a sausage red sauce, eggplant parmigiana and chicken piccata. The chicken piccata came on a bed of pasta with 4 chicken breasts! I enjoyed the extra lemons on the dish so that I could infuse everything with more lemony flavor. The eggplant parmigiana was well prepared and tasty. It also came with a side of pasta. The baked ziti was well prepared and full of flavor. I didn't taste it since I don't eat sausage but my friend said it was delicious! The service was outstanding. There were employees being trained and they would frequently check on our drinks as well as ask if we needed anything else. I would like to see them offer half portions. Those would still be large but would be a nice addition if people aren't keen on leftovers or simply want smaller portions. We were so full that we didn't order dessert. We saw the cannoli and napoleons which looked pretty decadent. Next time!! read more

The service is excellent even though you place your order then go sit down. They do bring out your food but it is set up as self serve for drinks, silverware, to go boxes etc. If I am paying 20-25$ a plate I want to be waited on. It's not fast food. It is very nicely decorated and inviting but the seats are very hard and uncomfortable. The food is " just ok". The portions are hefty but for "Italian" it's like let's get a recipe book out, not authentic by far. The marinara sauce is poorly seasoned, big chunks of tomato in it like tomato sauce with a can of tomatoes, the lasagna is ok but the sausage has fennel in it which I personally do not care for. We've eaten at the original Nate's a few times, but found ourselves over by the new restaurant on Campbell. We were greeted when we walked in mid afternoon. They were not very busy at that time of day and everyone was friendly and helpful. You peruse the menu then go up to the counter to place your order. They have a drink station with beverages, as well as napkins, plates, silverware, to-go containers, etc. It's supposed to be a self serve area, but workers did much of it for us since they weren't busy. There are tables and along one wall is a long bench with pillows. They also have a nice patio for when it's cooler. The walls had lots of fun pictures and there was big band type music playing. The food is like at the original, delicious and humongous portions. My only negative is that they didn't have many low carb options unless you wanted salad and didn't substitute vegetables for pasta. We started with the pasta salad and garlic bread, complimentary. Then calamari for an appetizer--crispy and delicious with two dipping sauces. Got one meatball, a side of veggies, and the chicken/eggplant combo plate with linguine. So much food! One plate was loaded with the chicken and eggplant piled high. The pasta was on another plate. They are working on getting a liquor license so you could bring your own alcohol, so check before going. We enjoyed our dining experience and wish them the best with this second location. read more

I did not eat there yesterday, BUT I complained to 3 workers about the type of music and the volume and was told that they have no control of that and that I should fill out a comment card - UNacceptable! Also, the the dessers in the case were small portions and priced @$10 and $11. read more

We had been to the other location and really enjoyed it, so we were excited to see that they had opened a new location closer to where we usually visit when going to Tucson. It was just as amazing. The food is so fresh and I think even the pasta is hand made. The sauces are to die for! The portions are gigantic. We have enough for at least another meal...and we ate a lot! The small slice of cake for $10 was a little bit disappointing. But, other than that, this place is amazing! Highly recommend! read more

The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and welcoming, prices are fair and the portions are generous! My only concern is that if you go with another couple the tables are too small! Well it was good to see the new location come to Campbell. But I was more then disrespected a few times. No one told me what was going on. The service was great but the lady with blonde hair seemed like she was just barking at everyone. Food was amazing but after the fifth time the lady with blonde hair hugged me about if she could fill my soda I had enough. Sometimes people want to eat in peice an not be rushed out the door. This place made me feel unwelcome and they were happy only to see me leave. Food was good. But management needs a good makeover read more
