    Whats on the menu!?
    Dave O.

Nothing but great people at this spot I am driving through Arizona had to stop to get gas here and saw a Greek Gyro spot. We decided to pull over and eat. Kruzer absolutley loved the treats! We will definitely come back through and visit on our journeys thank you all again. The food is amazing!

Classic gyro, Greek fries (with feta cheese) and water.

Don't miss the tzatsiki and red bell pepper spreads for an appetizer. The stuffed grape leaves were also amazing. We were given a complimentary dish of a lovely pasta in what I think was a paprika sauce. Off the menu, family style dish, out of this world. Try the cabbage slaw, stuffed cabbage, and the meatballs - all beautifully prepared and seasoned perfectly. Highly recommended.

Looking over the menu everything sounded fabulous. The owner took my order and when I asked for the shish kebab he said "not the best". So I asked for his suggestion. He said I would like the meatballs better and that they were lighter. Well I listened and he was right. They treat you like family here and want you to like what they make you. My husband had the goulash and it was also spectacular. The salad before the meal was also a surprise star. Coated in lemon and olive oil and just the right salt and pepper it was a light delicious way to get your veggies. I will be back here frequently.

We arrived at 12:30 and they were slammed. No available parking, so my daughter dropped me off (so sweet) and parked a couple doors down. The dining room was packed and noisy. The young man who greeted us said he'd have a table in ten minutes or we could sit in the air conditioned patio area. That's what we did. The patio was quiet and a large fan blowing over a trough of ice kept us cool and comfortable. We started with an appetizer of hummus, tzatziki, pita, and dolmades, with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes. The tzatziki was the best I've had. The sliced veggies were great so my celiac daughter could scoop the yummy spreads instead of pita. As lamb lovers, we ordered the lamb kabob plate and the lamb clay pot. The plate came with scrumptious rice, Greek salad, and sliced veg. The clay pot was filled with diced potatoes, tomatoes, and tender cubes of lamb, beautifully seasoned. So much delicious food! Our waiter offered dessert, but we were stuffed and settled for to-go boxes. I had an excellent lunch for two more days! As a big fan of Mediterranean food, I don't know how I could not have missed Istanbul, but my first time surely won't be my last.

One of those pop up menus is an Indian street food menu that is fully vegetarian and also egg free (Indian pure vegetarian.) My husband and I went a couple times, once in May 2025 and once in Feb 2026 and it was delicious and beautifully plated. My review for the food itself is 5 stars. During those two visits we tried: (May 2025) -Pani Puri: Fresh and delicious and I recommend ordering it spicy if you eat spicy. -Samosa Chaat : This was a 5 star dish for me! It was the best samosa I have ever had with the most delicious toppings and condiments. We asked for yogurt on the side, I'd totally get that again. My second favorite dish here! -Dabeli: This was a 5 star dish for me! It was a perfectly balanced work of art with the delicious filling and bun and the pomegranate and peanuts on top. Super fresh and so so delicious. I would absolutely return just for that- my favorite dish here!! (Feb, 2026) -Sev Puri: This was good. the fried potato on the cracker was fresh and I really liked the sauce mix on it with tamarind. It reminded me a little bit of the filling in Trinidadian doubles. We asked for yogurt on the side. -Pav Bhaaji: This was good but my least favorite dish here. I think probably just because of how amazing the others are though. This one also contains clarified butter which I don't typically eat. I liked it with the lime and raw onions added to the curry. -Vada Pav : This was my favorite from today's dishes! I loved the perfectly fried spicy green chili pepper in it. I wish I didn't eat that whole chilli pepper in one bite because I wanted more when it was gone. My husband experienced it the same way. He also noted how fluffy the potato was inside like mashed potato. This was perfect for sharing since there were two. This dish is native to Maharashtra. - Aloo tiki chaat : This was good. the fried potato patty reminded me a tad of a potato latke. Toppings were good and included mint. We asked for yogurt on the side Both times we sat on the patio and enjoyed a relaxed dinner. When we came in May they were very nice to check if we were happy with spice level or wanted more spice and talked to us about the food. They seemed passionate about it and It made for a really fun and interesting experience. When we came in February, we had less engagement with staff. A couple things I would like to note: 1. They add a service fee of 10% on bills without notifying the costumer. The first time I went, since they didn't notify me of that before I paid or gave me a detailed bill, I left a tip over that total amount that already included 10%. I do think it should be communicated to customers in advance. When I realized this and pointed it out to them they did refund it. The second time I remembered there was a fee but I noticed it was still not communicated to me a head of ordering. I don't appreciate that business practice of hidden fees and that is the reason I lowered to 4 stars. The food itself is 5 stars for me. 2. I would not recommend their pop ups for people with severe allergies. I was hoping and still hope they eventually transition the restaurant to Indian or add a regular Indian menu. Especially since there is only one restaurant in the Tucson area that serve south indian food (Spice Garden Indian Cuisine in Marana) . I have yet to try the mediterranean food here aside from a complimentary baklava in May which was not my favorite. Sounds like the two current owners bought the business sometimes around January 2025 and I am curious (and really hope ) to see the Indian dishes become a more regular part of the menu on a daily basis. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

I ordered a falafel wrap, and it was fantastic, crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor. My wife had the fried cauliflower wrap, and even though she normally doesn't like Mediterranean food, she was blown away by how delicious it was, especially with the tahini sauce. We also got sides of garlic sauce and tahini, plus a tub of hummus to take home. The hummus was smooth, rich, and some of the best I've had. The food came out in about 10-15 minutes, which felt quick, though the owner kept apologizing as if it were taking too long clearly she cares about the customer experience. They also offer a call-ahead number, which is great if you're short on time. The menu has all the classics you'd expect at a Mediterranean spot, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. There are chairs and a picnic table right near the trailer that overlooks Cole's River. Bring cash although she takes electronic payments. We'll definitely be back and really hope this place sticks around for a long time. A true local treasure!
