It's really good. I ordered online and did carryout, with no problem at all. I wrote this review on a different site and look forward to going again. We had many of the food items on the menu, and they were all really good. The chicken in the Chicken Kebab (Shish Tawook) Plate was so tender! The Chicken Shawarma was very tasty, and the "Platter" on the appetizer menu makes a great vegetarian Mediterranean meal with all the goodies, which were all really good. The Mediterranean Salad is very good for a lighter meal. The House Rice and sauces were great additions. read more

Are you freaking kidding me??? Ordered and paid online for takeout and then was sent away with no food and denied a refund! I placed an online order for takeout at about 7pm. I was charged, given a confirmation number, and a pickup time of 7:37pm. When I arrived just after 7:30pm for my takeout, the employee came to the window and told me that they closed early and aren't doing anymore orders. When I showed him my confirmation email receipt he told me it doesn't matter and that I needed to go home. When I explained that I already paid and asked for a refund he flat out said no and that it's not his problem. When I pressed further for an explanation to why their website would take an order if they're closed and demanded a refund, he pretended not to understand me anymore and told me to leave. Caravan Grill is open until 8pm, this can be confirmed on Google and the hours posted on their door. I'm beyond frustrated that they would take my order, charge my card, and send me a confirmation email with a pickup time only to close early. Additionally, how can you charge me and then not provide the service I paid for and deny me a refund? Lastly, why the rude attitude with me like I'm at fault for ordering food. This is absolutely insane business practice. It truly feels illegal, because WTF am I suppose to do? They stole $50 from me! Confirmation email attached for proof read more

I always get the falafel/Vegetarian platter. It's absolutely flavorful and fresh. I don't even really like falafel's but it goes so well with the hummus baba ghanoush, and that absolutely perfect pita bread that it comes with. So soft. Ordered via DoorDash and it arrived very quickly. Have picked up from the location before. It's a walk up window and it's a quick order. read more

Caravan Grill - Falafel Plate - Halal Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Hands down the BEST falafel in Tucson. Seriously. Do yourself (and your taste buds) a favor and come experience this flavor explosion. The falafel is crispy perfection on the outside, soft and herby inside -- absolutely to die for. The hummus is silky, the baba ganoush has that rich smoky depth, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. This spot feels wildly underrated. It's small and casual, not fancy at all, but the food coming out of this kitchen is straight up divine. Service is fast, portions are generous, and they even have a drive-thru if you don't feel like getting out of your car (plus indoor and outdoor seating). Bonus: it's right next door to their Mediterranean market/grocery, so you can grab imported goodies after you eat. Flavor, value, and authenticity all in one stop. I'll absolutely be back. read more

Being a lover of Mediterranean cuisine, Caravan Grill was a delightful and delicious find. We ordered the appetizer platter and chicken shawarma wrap. The appetizer platter was SO good! Creamy smooth dips, perfect grape leaves, falafel was amazing with marvelous texture and refreshing tabouli salad. Very balanced flavors and not drowning in oil as we've experienced at other restaurants. Would definitely order again. No Mediterranean meal is complete without these accompaniments. The wrap was seasoned well, evenly distributed and absolutely delicious. Very eager to return and enjoy these dishes again and try something else too. Service was friendly and welcoming. Ambiance is basic with several tables if you choose to eat in. read more

Great spot for take out. I ate in and it felt like the inside seating was an afterthought. The fries were well seasoned and not greasy. The sandwich was flavorful and full of meat. It smells incredible in there! read more

I really like Mediterranean food, but often find that dishes have too much garlic or certain meats are dry. A recent meal from Caravan Grill reignited my interest in Mediterranean eats. The chicken swarma was super flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and thankfully not overcooked. Their tabbouleh salad is zesty and super fresh. Probably one of the best I've had in Tucson. The dolmas, falafel and tahini were also quite good. I really enjoyed the meal. This meal was takeout, so I am planning to go back in person for the full experience. read more

The falafel here is very well spiced and flavorful with enough herbs, coriander, cumin etc which I often find are lacking in other restaurants' falafel options in Tucson. It is served a little differently than I am used to (which makes sense given falafel is eaten in many countries and there are many variations and different ways it is served ) but since the falafel itself is very flavorful it hits the spot for me. The food here does seem to vary a little from time to time and once in a while I like it a little less but overall it's definitely by far my favorite falafel locally outside of home. Sometimes I like to get just the falafel balls and freeze some. They heat perfectly in the air-frier and on busy days I eat them with my favorite pita (by Angel Bakery -sold locally only at Whole Foods. I freeze the pitas and warm them up by steaming them) and my own toppings. I also liked their combo plate with falafel, baba ganouch and stuffed grape leaves (the filling was moist enough here when I tried them) It's a simple counter service place with a few tables inside and a few outdoor picnic tables. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite! read more

You will never have a salad like this. Diced ripe tomato, slices of onion, Persian cucumber, chunks and crumbles of cheese, flavorful olives, herbs and sumac on top of hand chopped romaine. Then the chicken. It is poetry for the mouth. Silky spice robed chunks of moist skewered and barbecued meat, lavishly spread over the salad. The dressing is perfect as is the toumi. On top of all that, the food is served up by such friendly people in record time. Tucson is so fortunate!! read more

Caravan Grill - Shish Tawook Mediterranean Salad - Halal Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Kinda a fast food place with a few dine in tables and a drive thru. Reasonable prices for the wraps. The plates are typical of restaurant entrees prices but served in a styrofoam box for dine in option. The meats were seasoned decently. It wasn't bad food- it's just that I feel with so many options in the area the dishes didn't stand out to me. It seems to be a busy spot with non stop orders even post the lunch rush. Would I go grab a gyro there if that was the closest place and I was hungry- sure. Would I drive specifically there if I was craving a gyro or kebab - likely not. Again, not bad but didn't hit the spot for me. read more

We live fairly close to Caravan and have passed it many times, curious each time about what it's like. So finally we dedicated date night to exploring this place. Overall was a pretty enjoyable experience. The food was really good, we agreed we eat there again. The space is a small neighborhood restaurant/fast food vibe so not super fancy but well kept and quaint. Indoor and outdoor, next to the road. Service was simple and kind. read more

Great location ( for us and others in north mid Tucson)! Clean, friendly, good vibe. Food was reasonable and excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. read more

Lots of food, my picture is shawarma cut in half. Very mediocre. No seasoning on the shawarma. Just tastes burnt and heavily spiced. It needs lemon and salt. This type of pita isn't my favorite I prefer fluffy pita over flat. To make sandwiches a combo is $3.99. Fries were ok. Drink was tiny. I'm not sure what's so great about this place? Would not come back. It was $18. Service was fine. read more

Meh - everything about this place was just 3.5 "good." The venue is ho-hum; the staff was unremarkable and unengaging. The shawarma sandwiches were a solid "decent" and reasonably priced but I have definitely had more flavorful and more meaty. If I lived or worked nearby I could see stopping by once/twice a month. But since I don't, and with a growing number of knockout Middle Eastern venues in Tucson, I probably won't be back soon. read more

I was out looking for dinner one evening and ran across Caravan Grill. It's a small place with a real family owned feel. We ordered the falafel plate and a falafel sandwich with fries. The falafel was really good, nice and crispy on the outside and full of flavor. The plate came with a salad and hummus, both were delicious but you can really taste the authenticity in the hummus. The sandwich was really good too, I wasn't sure if I'd like a falafel sandwich but it was great. They break the falafel up so it's easy to eat but still has texture. Since that night I've been back quite a few times and I will say that I've really grown to love this little restaurant. They have the best falafel I've had in Tucson and everything else has been top notch. The fries have some seasoning on them that has us addicted. The service is fast and friendly and as I said, has a real family owned vibe. read more

Caravan Grill - Falafel Plate with pickles on the salad. Sooo good!! - Halal Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I cannot believe it took me this long to try Caravan. Someone told me I had to go here after saying how much I missed doner kebabs in Germany. Well 2 years later I finally made it in and it did not disappoint. Full of flavor, very kind staff, super affordable for the amazing quality you get. Tried the gyro wrap and the lamb shwarma wrap. My husband said he'll be thinking about the lamb shwarma until we can get back there. Even their fries were seasoned fantastically. I can't wait to go back read more

Cute mom & pop shop! The food was excellent--prepared quickly, accurately, and made with quality ingredients. Tried the gyro plate, shawarma wrap, and baklava--all of which were phenomenal! The gyros were the best I've found in Tucson. Friendly service too -- overall a lovely experience! read more

We've primarily ordered Caravan Grill through DoorDash and have never been disappointed, but finally made it in-person for lunch and confirmed the deliciousness. The food is so flavorful - well-marinated meat dishes and light salads with a well-balanced dressing. Our favorites are the shish tawook (the grill on the kebab adds a nice char) plate which comes with rice, salad, and vegetable stew, and their shawarma sandwiches (my husband's favorite is the lamb) which you can turn into a combo for seasoned fries and a drink. Definitely one of our favorite Mediterranean restaurants in town. read more

Fantastic. They have the best falafels in Tucson. So many places over cook them and theiirs were perfect. We will definitely return. read more

Ordered the falafel plate. Wow the falafel is so good and crunchy. Salad was fresh and delicious with big slices of tomato and cucumber. My boyfriend had fries with his sandwich and I had a couple and wanted to eat the entire basket. Whatever spice they use on the fries is 10/10. Next time I want to try their falafel sandwich. Definitely will be back. Plus their market next door is great. read more

Small little place which if you drive by too quickly will likely miss. I decided to go to it based off of its previous reviews and let me tell you I was not disappointed! I got the chicken kebab plate and the chicken was so tender and beautifully marinated. I don't even know how to put it into words! The salad and the salad dressing that accompanied the kebab plate was also phenomenal. The hummus however, as well as the garlic sauce was a little bit disappointing, but it could just be the way it is made in Libya, which is different than what I'm used to their service was also fantastic. Great hole in a wild place that I would definitely go back to when I am in Tucson read more

Great customer service and food. Ordered my food through the Uber Eats app. DoorDash didn't have the food selection I wanted. I have a relative who eats here pretty regularly. They have dine in (5 tables), an open kitchen, and a drive thru option. The staff is super friendly. Definitely a ma and pa kind of restaurant, so you know it's gonna be good. They serve halal meat! We had their Chicken kabab (Shish tawoog) Salad. It was delicious. The chicken was the best part. The chicken was grilled, had the perfect grill like taste. The salad had kalamata olives, feta, white onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, little parsley, and two sides: dressing and like a yogurt dip. The Uber eats app didn't specify if the dish was a salad so they accidentally served the plate which is with rice. They kindly exchanged it. I believe they have a market next door, since it is the same name. Their fries look so good, I want to try it next! Note: DoorDash doesn't have the dish I ordered, so I had to order it from Uber Eats. I'd recommend calling the restaurant if you order this option since it doesn't specify if it's a salad or a plate dish on their ticket order. read more

Excellent Halal food in Tucson. My go to, with great options and even a drive thru with friendly staff.

This was my first visit to Caravan, and I quite liked it! I really appreciate that they're doing takeout service through a drive-through window, which made my pick-up experience super quick and easy. I got a chicken shawarma wrap and stuffed grape leaves, both of which were very good. The grape leaves are stuffed with seasoned rice, and had an acidic brightness that I enjoyed. They also weren't too oily, which can sometimes be a problem with stuffed grape leaves. The shawarma was quite big -- I actually only ate half, and saved the other half for a second lunch the next day! The chicken was good, as was the sauce in the wrap. The wrap itself was thin and a little bland, but the flavorful fillings made up for that. I would get it again! I look forward to trying more of Caravan's eats! read more

Best Authentic Mediterranean food in Tucson ! Highly recommended! The Cater also! Friendly service . Amazing market next door :)

Thank you for the great food and great service! We had the shawarma, gyro, tabbouleh, and they even threw in a baklava for us! It was all so delicious and not overly salty like alot of places can be. I can't wait to go back! read more

Nice that this restaurant has a drive thru. Quick service at the window. I ordered the Gyro Sandwich which comes with Persian pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, tzatziki sauce. Not sure if this is their idea of a sandwich but it was good. read more

Loved this place! I've been shopping at Caravan Market for so many years, but yesterday was the first time I tried the restaurant. Service was friendly, quick and accurate. And the food was really, really good. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich combo with fries and drink, as did another fellow diner. It was delicious! My husband had the falafel sandwich combo and also loved it. We shared an order of baba ganoush and pita as an appetizer. It, too, was perfect. If you haven't tried Caravan, you are definitely missing out. read more

The man behind the counter was very helpful and friendly, good sense of humor. My husband and I stopped in here for lunch. It was clean and a nice ambiance. Outside or inside seating is available. We ordered a beef shawarma sandwich, a kufta kabob sandwich, and the platter appetizer (hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, tabouli, pita, stuffed grape leaves). The pita wasn't as fluffy as some other places but it was soft and flavorful (not thin like a tortilla, but not fluffy like a pancake). We also ordered a couple of Turkish coffees, which was a first for me. Everything was very fresh and light tasting. Amazing flavors and great portion size- had enough to bring home. Our food came out pretty quickly and the coffees were in these cute little cups. It was an interesting flavor, not like coffee I'm used to but delicious nonetheless. Pour slowly to avoid the fine grounds ;) We will definitely be coming back. read more

Amazing food. Friendly Staff. Try their chicken kabobs, tender and delicious. The salads are fresh and crisp.

Went here to find a suitable alternative to kebab king at the Tucson mall. The place is small and can only fit a handful of diners. There are a few seats on the outside but would probably be uncomfortable during the hot summers. We ordered lamb shawarma platter and chicken shawarma sandwich wrap to go. The lamb was done right. Will try other items on the next visit. read more

Caravan Grill has huge portions for a good price. Tried the Chicken Shawarma sandwich and I couldn't believe the portion size, it could easily be shared. Was surprised it was wrapped in a very thin bread, closer to a tortilla. Would've preferred they used the awesome pita they sell on the market side. The chicken has great flavor, the garlic sauce is perfect, and the veggies are fresh. Ordered some rice and also felt it could've had more seasoning and less oil/butter but overall I enjoy this spot. read more

Andy's Eats featured caravan on This is Tucson a couple of weeks ago and I have been wanting to try since. The husband was in the area today so placed an order for pickup. The daughter got the lamb shawarma plate. Generous portion of lamb, perfectly seasoned and prepared. It' s served over rice, with a side of a nice crisp green salad and a vegetable stew. The husband got the falafel plate. They are amazing. Nice crunchy exterior with a soft flavorful inside. Little larger than golf balls. Great dipping sauce. Served with hummus, salad and pita. I got the shish tawook sandwich. It's huge (I'll be having two meals out of it), served in an oversized tortilla and crammed with the chicken, onions, tomatoes and pickles. Definitely more veggies than chicken but everything is covered in the garlic sauce and really good. Great place and the service was friendly and efficient read more

In a world of drive thru it is refreshing when you can go to one that is not a chain. We ordered the falafel plate which comes with a salad. This plate was large enough to share.
