This place was borderline terrible. First off, the one guy working shouldn't be cooking and handing people items and change and the like, with the same gloves on he uses to prepare food. So, this is mostly a take out joint, but there are seats inside if you choose to eat in. The staff we very friendly and the food came out pretty quick. I wanted to try as many of the items as possible and chose the meat platter. A combination of gyro and chicken shawarma, perfectly paired with a vibrant Greek salad, creamy hummus, and warm, fluffy pita. Everything was very tasty and a lot of food in one order. My partner had the garlic chicken shawarma and it was quite tasty. We also split a samosas appetizer. One of the best samosas I've had and since it's one of my favorite foods, that is saying a lot. They have a lot of gluten friendly options which means this is a go to place for me. I love their garlic chicken it's so good. Their hummus always tastes so fresh and I just get it as takeout so I can eat it with gluten free chips at home. It's nice they do mobile ordering so you can pick up and take it home. Got home and found out that they forgot a $5 side of rice, and a $1 side of sauce. Everything we got was super tasty, but it kinda sucks that every time we go they forgot something. We ordered takeout for Valentine's Day, and we could not have been happier with the food. We had Greek salad, gyro, chicken, Shawarma, hummus and falafel. We were especially fond of the falafel. It was everything that you would want falafel to be crispy on the outside and tender in the middle the Greek salads were absolutely 10 out of 10. My only complaint is that it was not bigger! I guess the quality at Urban Pita is very inconsistent. I just got a falafel sandwich, and it is ridiculous. The pita is so dry and stale that it does not function at all as a sandwich wrapping. You try to pick it up, and it just falls apart. Like I said, it's dry and hard and gross. Also, the amount of tahini is so small that it feels like false advertising for them to list it is something that comes with the sandwich. And how is this a "jumbo" size? This is just a regular-sized sandwich that I paid three dollars extra for. The standard one must be miniature. These prices are not cheap. read more

The food was pretty good. We loved the hummus and the meat was tender but the chicken was very very dry. Service was very friendly. My biggest complaint was the bathroom was filthy. I used facilities before we left and eeek . Sadly I do judge a restaurant by its bathroom. Clean bathroom = clean kitchen in my brain. Instead of giving me the plate they charged the falafel and salad separately so they could charge me an extra $4 when I asked why it's extra they claimed they were saving me money. I really enjoy eating at Urban Pita's downtown restaurant so when I found out there was a location closer to me, I got super excited! The food tastes so good. The hummus platter with meat is my go to. So delicious! The service was very good. One time I went, I thought I had placed an online order but it didn't go through. Oh my goodness this place is amazing! The food is cooked perfectly, tastes fresh and outstanding. Everything is so flavorful and looks outstanding. The food presentation is top notch. The seasonings, dressings and sauces that come with the meals is "chef's kiss! I've been here 3 times this week. It's affordable for what you get and the price. The fries are from real potatoes (go figure)! I went once just for fries... It's always extremely clean inside and outside. The staff is courteous, professional and attentive. I had questions and all were answered. The gyro, chicken and steak all have their own delicious sauce and seasonings and everything I ordered is just dreamy, mouth-watering, and pure deliciousiness in my mouth! The little cup of whipped butter is insanely delicious and I've been dipping everything into it because it lasts and I'm not a bread person either, but I've been eating their bread and butter like every time I go. Mentioned to employee how I drove out my way to get some Urban Pita, worker didn't seem enthused; very dry & cold. Came all the way back home and received half the amount of meat on my entree; legit chicken crumbles, not even strips! I'm pissed and disappointed!
