I have been going here since 1961, and the quality has never changed. The staff has always been friendly, and the portions have been generous. read more

Good sandwiches with a friendly efficient staff. The dining room was very basic but clean.

I love the Hogie House. Killer sandwiches! I love the Chicken Breast fixed with "hot stuff". It is Fantastic! No better sandwich in Tucson. - John H. ps, they've got a great, very friendly staff read more

This is the second time I've ordered since my last review and it's just not consistent. I see the same people working here too so I'm very confused. When it's good it's great. But when it's bad it's just mediocre and annoying. Idk if the ingredients have changed but my sub was missing stuff that I asked for and tasted off. When I came in and paid I could see that was typed up correctly so I'm not sure why it was still wrong. read more

Best Cheeesteak Ever Great Customer Service and Always fresh and Delicious Their closing hours kinda Suck, they close to Early!!!! read more

Great sandwiches friendly staff hard to pick which sandwich I want sometimes but the italian is always a favorite

Love this place. The subs are made to order and great. They use fresh and very good ingredients. They don't skimp on their portions.

Everything was great. Service, food and prices. Three teen girls rated it better that chain sandwich shops and ate their entire sandwiches without complaint. Meatball, turkey and Italian all winners for us. read more

I've driven by Hoagie House for years, and I also meant to stop. Running errands one Saturday, I decided to finally go. I ordered ahead on the establishment's website - super easy - and I was also able to choose to pay in person. I arrived, and my order was ready for me - yay! I took it home, and both sandwiches that I ordered were perfect! I'm so used to getting something to go, and the order is wrong. Not at Hoagie House!! Because they kept my husband's meatball sandwich in the microwave oven (not on, silly), it was still hot by the time I got home (another yay!). The meatballs were flavorful and juicy, and the provolone was melted, all topped with ample marinara and the other toppings I specified. My sandwich was perfect and messy (come on, that's a sign of a good hoagie). Lots of toppings, and the seasoning and oil and vinegar were a great accompaniment. These hoagies are great - delicious bread, fresh ingredients, and perfectly made. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this. So, stop driving by, and go on in - it's worth the trip! read more

We've been coming here for decades, and each of us get the same exact thing every time (different for each sandwich). This week, the sandwiches just did not taste the same; didn't even taste good. The ingredients were wrong as well; first time ever. All good things must come to an end? read more

Came in and ordered to-go. Got a 9" hot steak and onion cheesesteak and a potato salad. Both were amazing! Very fresh ingredients and bread. Good service. Recommend this spot for a good sandwich read more

I love the hoagie house. I think I've had almost every sandwich they offer. The service has always been good. And the tables are always clean. Its wheelchair accessible, although it can be narrow outside. I wish the Oracle location was still around but when I'm on the Eastside I stop in to eat here read more

Delicious local sandwich shop. Can't beat More for Mondays deal order on line to save a bit of time.

Excellent sandwiches, clean, well priced and nice customer service. Legit cool place.

I haven't been to a hoagie house in probably 10+ years, but I just needed a good, cold sandwich, and I was in the neighborhood.... 10/10 recommend. The girls working were both SO stinkin friendly and sweet, knew the menu, made small talk - but not the annoying kind... the loaded me up with extra pickles which is the best part of any sandwich! And they told me to drive safe, because a monsoon was rolling in. I live in Oro valley, but I'll definitely be stopping by next time I'm on this side of town because it's the best sandwich I've had in ages! read more

The food was amazing, good portion and a fair price. The staff was friendly and quick to help.

I lived in Tucson most of my childhood and now again for the last 5 months and I'd never been to Hoagie House until today. Safe to say, I was missing out.. Friendly service, great sandwiches and fast! I highly recommend the Carmichael or the steak and onion sandwich. I used to only go to Eegees but they are a little pricey compared to Hoagie House. Give this place a try if you've never been, I'm pretty sure you'll like it.. 4 stars and two thumbs up! read more

It's been many years since I had a steak and onion hogie. I wanted to take my new neighbor there and it was very good!

Convenient Lee located with ample parking good for groups. I've been going to this sandwich store for over 30 years. Unfortunately my favorite location on Oracle closed and the other two locations just don't cut it. They used to have the best steak and onion sandwich I've ever had now it's OK I still go there, but I sure do miss the quality that I used to get read more

Great Sandwiches served and prepared by nice guys. I had a Turkey Hogie. Delicious. Tastes like an Italian sandwich should taste.

Great place, went here with my wife and she and I both loved it. Good prices as well. They took their time to make it right the first time and it showed! read more

Best Hogie in Tucson bar none!! Love the bread, the meats, the friendly service and the timeless classic sandwiches!!

This is a classic Tucson restaurant. I love hoagie house. For me it's the pepperocinis and oil they use that makes their sandwiches so good.

Just wanted to say I've always liked the the "Hoagie House". But I had a special experience yesterday, they made a mistake on my sandwich nothing wrong just added an ingredient I didn't want which was lettuce. The young lady behind the counter was very nice and immediately had no problem replacing my sandwich. I was so appreciative I bought an extra one for a friend. When I got home finally getting the sandwich just the way I wanted cheese steak with only onions and peppers "My God" it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in awhile. Just got back from a trip on the East Coast (Washington DC area) where we have something called a "Carry out that makes sandwiches like this and this is one of the best ones I've had in all of Arizona reminds me of a carry-out. The young lady on the grill knew exactly what she was doing.. She put that sandwich together perfectly. Toasted bread grilled the onions just perfectly then layers the pepper and steak with with the provolone that pulled apart like pizza cheese.. Highly recommended.! .... read more

Hogie House - Great sandwich - Sandwiches Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Hogie House has been in Tucson for eons but I've never tried it until today. The good: They have pastrami. They will make it the way I like it which is bread, meat, cheese, mustard and pickle chips. The bread was nice and soft. The employees are super customer service oriented and friendly. It's clean and I didn't have to wait to be served. As for my sandwich which really is the most important part? I'm not impressed. The pastrami should be the star of my lunch show and it was lackluster. Average in taste, a little spongy feeling in the mouth but the serving of meat was pathetic. My guy ordered a double meat pastrami and the amount of meat on his double is what should have been on my regular single. We also ordered some spicy fries. They were simply seasoned fries and nothing special at all. I will say the price was right though because we got two 9" sandwiches for the price of one because that wonderful girl at the counter told us about their online coupons. I guess Hogie House will be around for many more years to come since many in Tucson consider it an institution. As for me? I don't plan to return. read more

I got the worst pastrami sub I have ever gotten. There was barely any pastrami to start with . And what they did pit on. My sub was mostly grisl that you couldn't even chew. Definitely not worth $15.00. We will not go back! read more

I had a business meeting and my guest decided to pick this place. I had not been here in many many years as I had just forgotten about it. My dad remembers going here when he was younger so it is a tucson staple! I got the turkey and I decided decided let them do it as is. I susally take things off but decided not to this time. And man it was tasty, even with oil and such. The staff was super friendly the whole time I was there, and the place was also super clean. I can say it is back on my radar and I will make more frequent trips here fo sure! read more

I got the Carmichael grinder and added mustard, mayo, and black olives. I subtracted the onions and next time I'll add jalapeños. But oh man this hoagie was good! I will be back. The lady who rung me, she had tattoos and a black band T-shirt, nailed it with her customer service. Thanks for a memorable, delicious, and easy & fast lunch guys read more

Rather skimpy on the meat. I usually get the pastrami sandwich. I used to go to the one on Oracle, but it's permanently closed. This Hogie House is on Speedway. Great service, but cutting back on costs by using less meat. Bread is great, flavor great, but just skimpy on meat............ Update: I continue to go to this Hogie House. I decided to give them another chance. I work near by, so I go about once a week after I get off shift. Still love the Pastrami sandwich. I just ask for extra meat... the people that work there are really nice, they make great sandwiches and they're local. I'm giving them five stars again..best pastrami I've had in town read more

Stopped in and had the Italian 9" . I prefer a hard crusted roll. But very tasty and fresh. Will go again to try another hogie.

My first time trying HH. Got the 9" Italian this past Monday. Brought it home and nuked it for 15 seconds. Pure perfection. For a hoagie, just awesome! read more

This is the best sandwich place in Tucson! All of the locations are great and consistent. We love the Italian sandwich and the sides--all so yummy! We recently visited the Speedway location a half hour before close on Labor Day, and the two gentlemen working (i didn't get their names ) were so nice despite it being so close to closing. They made our food quickly and accurately, and were so friendly! Give them a raise please! read more

I've been dropping in here now and again for 10-15 years now. Always a great sandwich, always great service! A local treasure! My fav, cheese steak & onion, 9 inch. Just plain fantastic, every time. Update: Back again, yet another perfect 9" steak and onion! read more

I love this place. It's a Tucson staple that True Tucsonanas will appreciate. Been coming her since I was little

Their bread must have been sat out still there's a day where you can get a deal on the sandwiches and it's only a quarter off and it's more stale worst place I have ever gone to the staff is on enthused vegetables meats just sit out you could tell by the taste worst sandwich place I've ever been just pay the extra dollar and go to Subway or other sandwich places like Jersey Mike's there's a good place read more

We were in a hurry, had a movie to catch, so we only had time for a fast-food dinner. Hogie House fit the bill. I had a 6-inch Italian sub, no tomatoes, wheat roll. It was good enough, no better or worse than a comparable sandwich at eegee's. Service was fast enough that we didn't miss any of the movie. read more
