Mmm, look at how appetizing the burnt ends are, and the grease soaking through.

Food safety + disrespectful staff. We came to Firehouse Subs today and it was an absolute mess from start to finish. I ordered a standard sub with NO vegetables. Simple. When the food came out, my husband and child received theirs, but mine was missing. When mine finally arrived, it was wrong -- loaded with vegetables. I sent it back and asked for a remake. The remake was worse. It came out burnt, to the point where the smell of char was overwhelming, and it was greasy and sloppy-looking. At that point, I wasn't willing to send it back again and risk eating something that had already been handled multiple times. That's not "being picky," that's basic food safety. When I was explaining this to my husband, an employee came over and asked what was wrong. I explained I wouldn't be eating it and why. She said she'd speak to the manager. While waiting, I watched the employee who brought my food walk to the back doorway where another young employee was standing -- and they were smiling and laughing about it like it was funny. (This is same girl ended up being the "owners daughter") The manager did issue a refund, but then another employee inserted herself into the situation and became verbally aggressive, announcing that "her dad's the owner." That wasn't relevant, it wasn't professional, and it didn't fix anything. The manager was already handling it. The attitude and escalation from staff made a bad meal worse. Mistakes happen. Burnt, greasy remakes happen, apparently multiples times at this location. But mocking customers and getting confrontational is a choice. We won't be back and I'll be spending all my free time letting everyone know that Firehouse Subs likes to staff young adults who cannot conduct themselves while on the clock.

Had to update and reduce. The amount of stars. Service has definitely gone down. Not only. Are they slow, but they never have all the products. When you order online. It would be nice. If they could tell you they don't have what you're ordering. Instead you get in they don't have what you order and then to be charged extra for a poor quality type of meat. If you're giving me a lower quality turkey, don't you think I shouldn't have to pay extra if I'm not getting the same type of quality turkey that I requested if you're not giving me roasted turkey but I'm getting deli meat turkey why am I paying extra? I love firehouse. I typically come multiple times a month, but I think I need to find a new sandwich shop.

Analice and Cassandra are so nice. They brought us our food and had very positive attitudes. It made a really nice atmosphere. I really liked my food and potato soup. I can't wait to come back

The steak and cheese was really good and well made I really love Timothy and his great attitude me and my boy (Eli) will definitely visit again and after I ate the food all of a sudden I got so many girls to get with me it's crazy definitely recommend

Amazing customer service and quality of food. Plus the sandwiches were huge!!! The owner was actually there and working the food line himself. Great to see something like that. I would highly recommend checking them out....plus a portion of all sales go to help support Arizona Fire and Safety organizations.

I regularly order a salad through my work. Sometimes I get the sub sandwiches. Every time I order is 100% accurate and very delicious. The latest and greatest thing to happen with Firehouse Subs is to use compostable containers. Thank you very much for taking on this initiative!

My first try at a Firehouse Subs and I was not disappointed. Sure, I like the veggie sandwich at Subway and I've been known to eat an Italian hero at Port o Subs, bit neither compadre to the Pastrami Reuben I had today. For a sub shop, I really enjoyed it. (Of course, it's not a "real deli" sandwich, but it was good. The pastrami was lean and tender and the slaw was pretty tender. My friend enjoyed her steak sandwich. The cater and have salad options and a kids menu Plus they donate and collect to provide emergency equipment to our first responders ... firefighters & ENTs Want a quick sandwich... check them out

Loved this sub shop, super clean, fresh food, friendly staff, and yummy food. The tables and floors were all clean, staffers were wiping down tables in between customers. The brownies were good as well. We shall return here for sure.

However, I have to give 3 stars for the overall execution of my meal. I had a half of a Hammer sandwich which was about $8. It's ham, soppressata, cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, dijon, vinegar, oil, garlic sauce. Unfortunately, I felt that my sandwich came with skimpy toppings. I got a pretty thinly stacked layer of ham and 2 little ovals of soppressata. The cheese was barely present. I also would have loved more tomato. I got a good amount of lettuce and banana peppers, though! Unfortunately, I just couldn't taste the meat and cheese toppings super well due to their being not much of them on the sandwich. The flavor of all the other ingredients were good, though. My friend got the Scramwich on Foccacia for $14. Looking at it, I could also tell it had not much proscuitto. Upon further inspection opening one of the halves of the sandwich... it was definitely only a few little smaller pieces of proscuitto. (The other toppings were on the other piece of bread, don't worry, those were fine) Sorry for the ugly photo - hard to really capture it without dissecting the thing. I also just noticed while looking at the photo again that one of the pieces of arugula also had black spots on it... Definitely not very fresh. My friend still enjoyed the foccacia, sundried tomatoes, and other toppings, but also felt there wasn't enough proscuitto. For the price, I would hope for a sufficient amount of meat. Heard a lot of hype about Quisty's and I see great potential in their quality and concepts! With better execution I'd definitely consider coming back. It's just hard to justify paying as much as we did for sandwiches that were skimpy on arguably one of the most important toppings!

So after seeing people rave about it, I finally tried the Eegee's breakfast burrito…read more I had the Sonaran burrito. It has eggs, cheese, chorizo, jalapeños, Chipotle ranch, and salsa. I was both disappointed and pleasantly surprised by this burrito. I'll explain. First off, it's super weird when people say things like "authentic" and "high quality" when referring to places we know have corporate fast food. High quality items rarely exist. This burrito I've seen described as having "high quality" chorizo, and "authentic tortilla". Well, neither are true. The tortilla was average, nothing bad, but nothing great, it was warmed, but that's it. The chorizo was good, yes, but "high quality" is a stretch. I will say it is better than your average store bought chorizo and had a good flavor. But calling it high quality is egregiously off. I also saw people comment about how it was "big". It's not. It's about averaged sized for the pricing. It's about the size of the Del Taco breakfast burritos(the large ones). It's also smaller than nearly every other burrito you can get in this city. Even if I say "for the price" the Del Taco breakfast burrito is half the price of this. Granted, it's not good, but to make it seem like you're getting this amazingly sized burrito here, feels like I was lied to. It's not to say it was small. But it certainly wasn't filled up. I got a couple layers of just tortilla in all my bites(you can see that in one of the photos). Which, considering it WASN'T an 'authentic' tortilla, I didn't like. Anyway, the positives. The ranch, jalapeños, and salsa together were a great flavor. They complimented each other well. I was very impressed with the flavor profile considering it was Eegee's. The chorizo had a good flavor, a bit smoky in the background and not too salty. It paired well with the sauces and cheese. The eggs were VERY fluffy. I could just do an egg and cheese burrito to be honest, and probably love that. Eggs were solid, considering they were liquid eggs(I'm pretty sure). I had cheese in almost every bite. It was put together well also. All in all, I'd give it a solid 7/10. I was mainly disappointed because people overhype EVERYTHING here, and I kinda knew that, but when putting that aside, it's a good burrito. Will it change your life? No. But it's a solid option if you have $10 bucks and not a lot of time. I will go so far as to say that this burrito is better tasting and put together than their sandwich options. Anyway, it's worth trying. NOTE: this is mostly about the breakfast option, I will post another review(when I go back) to talk about my overall experiences at this location.

Many of the customers appear to be of Italian descent and, like my bettah half seem to really-enjoy the traditional and authentic staples of, Il Bel Paese (The beautiful country). Food from many different regions of Italy are available. The decor is kinda fun. In my mind, when I think of what an Italian trattoria should look like, this place comes to mind... it's got the classic red and white checkered table clothes, maps and landscapes of Italy adorning the walls, and an energy of a place that is well cared for. A religious icon or two will also dot the interior landscape. The aroma of slowly simmering tomato gravy, cut garlic, roasted meats, chopped onions, and olive oil fills the air. It's an experience. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
