I hear a lot about this from people in Texas, so when we saw one, we had to stop. We got a patty melt, a bacon cheeseburger, a hatch green chile burger, fries, and a strawberry milkshake. I think they gave us two bacon cheeseburgers and no green chile burger, but that's ok. This was pretty solid as far as fast food burgers go. The patty melt, fries, and shake were my favorites. I got the green chile burger with onion rings and my coworker got the patty melt and fries with the Peaches and Cream shake. The onion rings were good and my coworkers loved the shake. The burger was disappointing as was the patty melt. There was very little flavor and the burger tasted broiled. read more

In Tucson, Az and started debate about burgers with friends from Cali & Texas. I live in VA so do not have access to a few that are here. Have not had Whataburger since being stationed in Texas. It was a favorite back then, trying it again in Tucson reminded me why I loved it. Not sure if it is a Tucson thing, but everywhere we go the customer service is excellent. I'm a regular customer at WB. Three days ago I ordered my regular breakfast taquito w/o cheese. The guy taking the drive thru order was charging me 60 cents more than I always pay. I asked him why. He said that's what shows up on the register. I told him it was wrong. He said it was right. I asked to speak to the manager. He said he was the manager. The following day I went again and the nice lady at the counter charged me the regular price I always pay. She said there are separate keys for the item I requested. So either the "manager" doesn't know how to work the register or they are hiring morons for managers. Sixty cents does not break me but with the way fast food restaurants and others are raising their prices, at least press the right damn button. read more

This was my first time trying Whataburger. I've always heard that this place is amazing. We don't have any in California, none that I know of atleast. It was really good! The drinks are huge & the food had great flavor. If I would have to compare it to something in California, it would be like our Burger Parlor in Socal. This location is one of my preferred in that they never have messed up my order. I usually order for myself, my husband and two picky kids. Although the burgers are freshly made the wait is reasonable both in the dining room or in the drive-thru. I have ordered the same thing for many years- the #1 combo meal. I have tried their chicken sandwich opens and am not a fan of them. The kids like the chicken tenders because they're regularly sized and the grilled cheese is good as well. The bread is toasted perfectly. The prices are decent and I'd have to say, if they've changed in the last 10 years it is small enough for me not to notice the difference. Being from Texas, this is one of my favorite fast food joints ever. So when I found out a few years a go they were in Tucson I was elated after moving to SV. The service at this Whataburger is awesome. It is almost like having waiter service. You order and they come by with your food and ask if you need refill or ketchup etc. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu, the fries are always hot and burgers always the best!
