Service was good but after 4 drinks we couldn't order more unless we order more food was ridiculous

Went there for Mother's Day. The burger was excellent. The milkshake was OK and the french fries were very good. I had an onion ring and I wish I would've gotten those instead of the fries! I know that they're on opposite ends of the scale so to speak, but knowing what I know about In-N-Out Burger and the cleanliness of the food, an In-N-Out burger fries and a milkshake would've been much less money and would have tasted excellent sorry Zinburger. LOTS OF THINGS HAVE CHANGD. Menu has been revamped. Some things have been removed. RIP to the meatballs. Came with a group. I got the Zingria which used to be fantastic. It was okay and a little watery. Also I got the Zinburger with zucchini fries. Burger was over cooked, I asked for medium well, and I sent it back. It was dry and tasteless. The second burger that came back was medium-medium rare but my group was done eating by the time it came out. The zucchini fries were standout, absolutely delicious. Group celebrated a birthday so chocolate pie came out to share and it was delicious! This was my favorite happy hr place EVER. But I don't think I can still recommend them in good faith. I make a point of not going out to dinner on Valentines day: the crowds make the experience unpleasant and the food suboptimal. Well, we had a concert to go to on V-Day, so decided to break the rule. I made reservations in advance because, with Valentines day and the Gem Show in town, I thought we could be aced-out. Good call, because while I chose a "hamburger restaurant" because I thought that would avoid the crowds, it definitely did not. That said, I was so impressed. It was early (we went pre-show), and the place was packed, but Sebastian was an attentive server (supported by the team who coordinate extremely well). Food was to us in the typical amount of time, and was properly cooked and served. My husband had a Diablo burger with a veggie patty instead of beef, and I had the Zinburger with chicken in place of beef. We also shared a basket of fries at a happy hour discount (who does that on a holiday?). Again, I have to stress how impressively Zinburger performed on a crowded Valentines Day. I made a point of sharing my compliments with the manager who held the door for us as we left. Hope they made it through the rest of the evening as well. read more

I've lived in Tucson for almost 56 years now and lately the food scene has just been blah. Same choices same flavors. There are WAY TO MANY Mexican food establishments per capita and it's getting boring. With that said my son and I are trying to go to at least one place that we have never been at least once a week. Today that place was Zin Burger. I will open this review and say that Zin Burger is NOW my number one burger place to go in Tucson. We went on a rare day off, Tuesday, around 2 pm. Upon entering eatery was almost empty just a couple of other tables. We were greeted and seated promptly and he even offered his "favorites" and then advised our server would answer any other questions we had. Taylor, our server arrived promptly and took our drink order, 2 dirty sodas, strawberry and coconut lime. Absolutely delicious drinks and 2 glasses of water. They were brought promptly. We sat on the south patio which even with the river road traffic was nice. For an appetizer we had the recommended chips and guacamole. A small portion of chips with a nice size bowl of guacamole. Very nice flavor especially applied to a burger. We won't order it again as it was about $5 overpriced for the serving size ($13.50) For our burgers I had the recommended Cowboy Burger (month special) and my son had the el Diablo. He had the green chili fries and I the black truffle fries. He said that his burger was very good, well prepared but very messy. His fries were well fried and delicious with the green chili. The cowboy burger was presented with 2 smash patties, perfectly cooked, perfectly cooked bacon, bbq sauce, onion straws grilled jalapeños, ranch on the side. The truffle fries perfectly crisp and flavorful. The price of both burgers no worse than anywhere else around $15 each. I am already planning the next trip back in a couple of weeks for my birthday. Tried Zinburger out for the first time tonight. I would say the service was definitely good. Atmosphere was good. We had outside seating. The prices seemed good, but they did throw in extra charges that added up in the end. It always strikes me as dishonest when they make it look like you're ordering a meal and that will be the price you pay. They charged so much extra for my soda water and then again for the fries that came on the same plate as the burger. I had the double smash burger and it was pretty good. The sneaky charge fries I got with it were over fried and not good at all. My date and I split some truffle fries though and those were amazing! I can see returning here, but definitely not my first choice. read more

Great service! Really enjoyed the Cesar salad burger (Special of the day) and the sweet potato fries! Friend had the truffle fries but the sauce for those was similar to mayonnaise taste. Spicy chipotle burger was a bit too spicy for my taste. Banana Cream pie for dessert was excellent and was big enough slice for two! Great burgers and drinks in a casual dining atmosphere. I enjoyed the burger of the day - beef patty with mushrooms, caramelized onions and provolone on sourdough with truffle fries plus a strawberry yuzu frozen margarita. What more can you ask for? It's been a while since my last review but Zinburger is as good as ever. Every time I come here it's a great experience. Delicious food, friendly service, and a casual family friendly environment. They've got a daily happy hour 3-6, with drink and food deals. It's a loud environment, with indoor, outdoor and bar options. They've got a few TVs so you can catch a game as well. We recently took out of town guests to Zinburger and once again it was delicious! They are from LA and were craving a quality burger. They ordered the burger of the month, it had green chilies, and cheese, the standard burger, and tots, and three different kinds of fries including the green chili fries, and they loved everything! I had the Zinburger with a gluten free bun and it was so tasty, and cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken burger, which was grilled. He loved it. I love the decor and vibe of this spot and the service is always fantastic. The best part are the happy hour choices with excellent pricing, including a 16 dollar special of a burger, fries and a drink! I recently ordered their Caesar salad, which was very fresh and had a great flavoring in the sauce. I also got the "Zinburger" with a side of Double Truffle Fries. The Zinburger was great, with a really tender patty and a nice size for the price. The Double Truffle Fries had a delicious truffle aioli and are definitely a go-to. Overall, the portions are great for the price and each time I visit, everything is well-prepared. The staff are excellent and very attentive and the atmosphere is very inviting and a nice spot. Unknown to me this is a Fox Concepts restaurant. I've read for a few years that it was an amazing burger. I regret I didn't come in sooner. The locations aren't convenient for me most of the time, but if I'm craving a burger this place will be in the conversation. I didn't see open/close hours on the doors/windows, so I walked in to ask the bartender. I don't want to be the bad, late coming customer, but the place was pretty busy. They closed at 9 and I showed up about 18 minutes before then. I almost walked out after thanking the bartender, but he said they were busy so it wasn't a big deal if I sat down. So I got a Huss hazy IPA and a Samburger. They were both delivered pretty quickly. The burger was cooked perfectly and as I ordered. I'm a weirdo about playing the reheat game so I got the 1000 Island dressing on the side. Who wants to reheat a wet burger with dressing?The shredded lettuce was a great touch to the texture of the burger. The place has a dressed up wine, sports bar with good food vibe. I recently came here for lunch and was so impressed with their burgers and their service. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and my husband had the Diablo burger. The staff was so friendly and we didn't wait long for our food. This was a pretty busy day being that it was Labor Day and the staff was on top of everything. We had a large group for my brothers birthday! We were sat in the patio area, which was totally fine it wasn't to hot, it was comfortable in temp, the only big concern is that the mister creates a constant puddle of water right in the middle of the seating areas, and the mosquitos were killer that night! We asked if they had anything for the them but they did not, I would recommend a good scrub of the floor and a bug spray to help with the problem. We ended up having to go buy some bug spray for the rest of the dinner as the kids were getting bit quite a lot. Abby was my server and she was fantastic! A busy group with multiple tables. She did a great job. Let's talk about food! Well I wasn't overly impressed by my burger, and quite honestly I've had better at fast food joints. Which is just an opinion, yes it was a smash burger, but done done crumbled at any touch. Then no little to no dressing on it, I order blue cheese on mine and just alittle mound was put in the middle. The driest burger. Unfortunately- the next day we did get a couple complaints that some of our party got sick. I don't know from what but some people had the same thing and didn't make it to work the next day. I hadn't been to this particular location before so I was anxious to try it out. The space has that quasi industrial feel that's very chic these days and I'm good with it. The place was about half full and they seemed to have plenty of staff doing their thing. All of the servers and the bartenders seemed attentive and pleasant. I enjoy pleasant. Maybe we got to Zinburger on an off night. Considering we paid over $50 for 2 hamburgers, side salads, and one milk shake, this was not worth it and we will not go back. There are so many great places in Tucson to eat. It was 7PM on a Tuesday and the restaurant was not crowded; maybe three tables had guests. My guest ordered a Zinburger and I had a veggie burger; we went there for him. I'm a vegetarian. Specifically, the lettuce on both side salads was limp. When we forgot to ask for ketchup when the burgers went set down, I tried repeatedly to hail an employee to ask for ketchup and two staff members (not my server) looked at me, saw me wave, and looked away. Neither directed my server to my table. We were half done with our burgers before I finally saw my server, hailed them, and they brought the ketchup. The main flavor of my veggie burger was salt with a little bit of heat. Yes, I know it's a burger joint, but there are many good non-meat hamburger options and this was not it. My guest described his burger as "OK" and he didn't eat much of his limp lettuce side salad. He ordered the shake for $8.50 and it was in a tall narrow glass, and skimpy; he said it didn't have much ice cream. We were both disappointed. read more

We were heading next door to Choice Greens, realized they're permanently closed, and decided to give this a try. As a relatively new vegan (2023), it's always interesting going to a restaurant where I know the overwhelming majority of the menu is not in the same stratosphere. But I'm adventurous and can at least report back to other vegans. Since the Honey is "vegan adjacent" (don't judge him), he had a double chocolate milk shake which he said was "very, very good," and had the veggie burger with sweet potato fries, accompanied by a dill-flavored yogurt dip. I had the burger bowl with their own crafted veggie burger (which I was assured is vegan) because all their bread is made with eggs. The bowl itself was filling and yummy with charred brussels sprouts, sweet potato, caramelized onions, mushrooms, avocado and cilantro, but on the salty side. If you're salt sensitive, ask for the tamari on the side, which they did. I had one of their sodas, a refreshing sparkling peach lemonade, made perfectly meeting my request of "very light ice." Vegans - unless you seriously customize other options, I'd recommend the burger bowl. And since all of the bread is not vegan, your only option is a lettuce wrap. Not for me. The food was good (average-to-good), but the service made it a really great evening. Our server, Lauren, was extremely attentive with all of our food questions/dietary needs which I appreciated. They are dog-friendly, so our chihuahua (Gato) promptly fell asleep on his chair. The other servers fawned over Gato, and it was a nice vibe on their back patio (I guess the front patio is for overflow). It was the last night of Sonoran Restaurant week and we were offered that menu. There are plenty of eateries in Tucson, but this is a good, casual meal sort-of place. Easily one of the better burgers around town, but the food can only carry a restaurant so far. The environment is laid back with a nice outdoor patio and placed in a great location. I've been many times and unfortunately the price and the service make it difficult to rate this Zinburger much higher. Appetizers, sides, burgers, and shakes are all delicious, but very expensive and tough to justify without a really special occasion, in which case, there are other options in town. Our primary waitress this time was great, but the manager and other employees who waited on us continued to forget to bring things out until we had asked multiple times, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. I was excited to try the seared ahi tuna bowl from the new menu but it's a complete rip off. It should be listed under appetizers because it's so small and not filling. The flavors were good but it needed double the veggies and tuna to be a meal. The menu doesn't mention it comes with quinoa, which I can't eat, so that made it even less filling for me. Heavenly burger, beyond wonderful service AND gluten free options! First time here. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. We both chose a Zinburger because the description sounded delicious. There was also a separate fryer for gluten free fries, which I do not often find. Zinburger has two spaces for outdoor seating- one in front and one in the back. Inside the restaurant, there is a full bar and a fair amount of tables which could accommodate a variety of guests. The menu has a great selection of burgers as well as appetizers, salads and desserts. There was also a burger of the day, which included tomato marmalade...next time. We came in for dinner on Saturday to celebrate my wife's birthday. We timed it so we could make it in time for happy hour, which ends at 6p. It's great that happy hour is available on the weekends. We didn't have a reservation, but only had to wait 5 mins for a table on the patio. The covered patio and misters make it much more pleasant to sit outdoors. Our server Megan was helpful in explaining the new menu and helped my wife in choosing the spicy mango margarita. We got two orders of fries, my son and I both got the happy hour burgers, my wife got the California bowl with a turkey patty and my daughter got the cheeseburger kids meal. Since it was my wife's birthday we even got a slice of pie for free. We went with banana cream and it was a large portion so all four of us got multiple bites. This is the embodiment of one of those "millennial" burger places that you see in memes and the memes are correct, the burgers are not good and the "ambiance" doesn't make up for the bland food. Went with a friend. We heard of the two in Tucson, this was the best. When we walked it the sound level was too much. It was over a hundred so we decided against sitting outside. I think it is because it is all open and every thing (walls, ceiling, furniture) is hard and flat so the sound just bounces around. All of the patrons were just talking normally. It was a bit difficult to talk. We ordered a couple of burgers (Zinburger and Hamburger), a couple of sides (large fries and onion rings), and couple of drinks (ice tea and diet coke). We both ordered out burgers medium and they were perfect. Both burgers were juicy and tasty. The sides were hot and good. The service was quick, helpful, and friendly.
