Wooo Hoo. My East Valley Yelp Elite friends lead me to Mojo Cuban Kitchen and Rum Bar in Tucson. What a find. Everything was amazing from the venue (not too fancy), to the service (inspired and friendly), and mostly the FOOD. I came looking for authentic Cuban, and found it in spades. First, the parking. Not great. Seems like this place is VERY busy most nights and there are a limited number of spots right around the facility. Else, you are shuttled off into this gravelly parking lot that's large, but full of huge potholes. It was raining the night we went, so not a great start. Very limited (if any ... I didn't see them) handicap spaces close to front door. Had a reservation (recommend), and was warmly greeted and shown to our table. Server came by quickly and took drink orders and gave us a rundown on some of the more popular appetizers. We sampled the El Presidente, the Coconut Mojito, the Hotel Nacional, and the Colado. Yeah, really good rum features in almost all the drinks. For starters, we went with our servers recommendation, The Plato Mixto, a delightful combo of 4 different items and a couple of delish sauces. Loved it. For entrees, one Taste of Havana, and one Vaca Frita. Lots of food, but it was so good, couldn't stop. I was full, but ordered Guava and Chocolate Cinnamon Pastelitos, which were a perfect way to finish the meal. Highly recommended by me.

Always a delicious time. Good music and the staff was great. We got our favorites: Cuban empanada (get it with the light green sauce, yum!), mojo chicken (always delicious with the marinated chicken, rice, beans and plantains) Taste of Havana (sample a little bit of everything).

My husband and daughter took me here for Mothers Day. This was a first time experience at this establishment for all of us.The hostess and our server were appropriately attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The ambiance was no frills inviting, and while lively, just the right amount of noise. The food, in a word.....delicious! It was well proportioned, great value, with impeccable authentic spices that danced across our palates. We will most definitely be back!

Time to update my review. I've gotten takeout from here a few times and received great service. I have a new favorite menu item, the Cuban Frita Burger. It had so much flavor from the spices mixed into the meat plus the onions and frita sauce on top. I've never had a Cuban style burger before, and it delivered. Of course I had to get yucca fries on the side with the drinkable cilantro aioli. Prior to this visit I got the vaca frita which was also seasoned to perfection. The burger and the vaca frita are my favorite dishes here besides the yucca fries. This has become one of my favorite restaurants in town.

Girlfriend dinner and it was my turn to pick the venue. I chose this place which was a 1st-time adventure for some restaurant-wise as well as Cuban food-wise. I think that Ryan was our server (whoever worked on 1/12 and served a booth of us 5 ladies). He was excellent - professional, knowledgeable, kind, accommodating. Other restaurants with a sub-par wait staff, take notes from this guy. I ordered the lechon asado...tender, flavorful, not too garlicky. A friend ordered their tres leches cake and it was divine. Gave my liver a break and ordered a mojito mocktail to wash things down. If I had to complain, the sugar cane in my drink was literally a garnish and not something that I could enjoy. It had zero flavor. But honestly, I have little faith in fruit in Arizona so.... We had such a great dinner and were able to chat in our booth. We were already planning future visits to have real mojitos and more desserts on the patio area. Good prices. The parking can be tricky when busy but totally worth it if you have a take a little walk. 2 thumbs up!

A mojito flight always wins me over, and this is no exception. The flavors are robust and don't have that lingering artificial aftertaste! The food is fantastic as well. Complex and classic plates made with care.

Always a great spot for solid cuban food! The ambiance even on a warm summer day on their patio is unmatched. They have indoor/outdoor seating and plenty of bar space. Make sure to snag a reservation for weekend dinners since they fill up fast! Haven't had a single thing on the menu that wasn't delicious so it's hard to recommend one thing.

Second time trying Mojo Cuban kitchen for brunch with my book club. They are an amazing local business that can host a large party of 20+ people indoors. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. This time I tried the Guava BBQ Short Rib Hash which includes plantain and potato hash topped with braised short rib, guava BBQ sauce, and two eggs your choice of style. The dish is gluten free and absolutely delicious. A hearty, seasoned, brunch food to keep you moving throughout the day. The server was friendly and accommodating with our large group.

We love Mojo! We used our Tucson Foodie discount, but have been here multiple times outside of that. There is always a good selection of season specials. The meat is fresh, and clearly cooked with layers of flavor. We ordered a mixed plate as there isn't one meat option we like more than the others, and a Cuban coffee which is a must here. We are going to stop in for weekend brunch next!

There are few 5 start reviews from me because most places don't take the time to share their love of their food with the patrons. This place is the exception. The waiter/ maybe owner came to our table and share about all the dishes. He recommended the two samplers and asked about our likes, dislikes and preferences. He recommended the absolute best combination for us. Everything on the plates was amazing. The inside of the restaurant is very bright and airy. Nice plants bring fresh clean air. The bar looks exceptional. It was brunch so a little early for that but next time. The absolute topper was the coffee with just a touch of milk. This place is top notch and so is the service. The only complaint was he forgot to mention desert first so we were so full we had to pass. But it could easily be a coffee and dessert stop as well.

Let's start by saying I've never had Cuban food so my review is just based on how the food was overall. The service was phenomenal we had a great waiter he was so funny and had our whole table laughing. The mocktails and drinks are overall delicious, a bit expensive for a mocktail around $9 but it was tasty. For food I got the mojo chicken sandwich which was really good actually, super flavorful, great shoestring fries and the cilantro aïoli was amazing. It was a birthday so we got both of our deserts on the house which was super nice of them. We had a key lime tart which was the special this month and they brought a puff pastry with chocolate. Overall great

    Yes. I think it's 4-6

Do they have an outdoor pario?

Yes, it's a small, well-appointed patio that has a bar that opens to the restaurant (a shared pass to main bar and counter seating). There are several tables (a couple with a hint of shade) and a heater. Great music too.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still. What truly made the evening unforgettable was the incredible staff. Jamie, our bartender, was an absolute star! She crafted the most delicious cocktails we've ever tasted--each one perfectly balanced, creative, and bursting with flavor. We couldn't stop raving about how spot-on every drink was; they were truly next-level. Even more impressive was the manager, Nini, who went above and beyond to make sure we felt completely comfortable. With my husband using a wheelchair, accessibility can sometimes be a challenge, but Nini was so kind, attentive, and accommodating. She personally helped us find the perfect accessible seat without any hassle, making us feel welcome and cared for right away. That level of genuine hospitality turned a great night into an exceptional one. The drinks were delicious from start to finish, and the whole experience left us smiling and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a sophisticated, welcoming speakeasy in Tucson with top-notch cocktails and heartwarming service, Old Pueblo Club is it--hands down! We can't recommend it highly enough. 5 stars all the way! Cheers to many more nights like this one.
