I haven't been here in 5 years so it was a good experience. We were a group of 8, separate checks. They do an auto tip of 20 pct. My meal was forgotten and I had to ask. No problem, others ate slow. We might be back. It was nicer than I remembered.

Coworker had recommended this place to my friend so we dined for dinner. It did not disappoint. Appears to be family run business. The service was good and food was so good. Pricy but worth the quality.

We love the ambience and the service at El Cisne. Our waiter and support staff were excellent! My husband started with the guacamole, $6 to go with his chips and then a cup of tortilla soup $6 really good and larger than expectations. I had the El Cisne house salad $10.with cranberry and pecans. Then as his main course, my husband really enjoyed the Rillito Relleno with a chili relleno, chicken enchilada, and birria taco $23 which came with rice and beans. I has the Seven Seas Seafood soup $32 which had a fair amount of seafood from baby octopus, calamari, shrimp and mussels. The soup was OK, but kind of disappointing. The broth was watery and not very rich or flavorful. Doesn't mean we won't go back again. Just means I wouldn't order the soup again.

My first time here but I had to come after my mom raves about their albondigas soup! I tried their siete capas and their tortilla soup, which may be one of the best I've ever tried! The service was also excellent and we had our food fairly quickly!

Excellent food and service. We were seated promptly. It was relatively quiet. I like the chicken mole.

Great food, my favorite are the adobado tacos. Servers are always so sweet! The drinks are strong but I love the frozen margaritas!

Fish was under cooked, salsa tasted like is was from a can, chips were stale. Overall a very poor experience. Not worth a second chance.

If you are able to go for brunch, I would recommend getting the Chilaquiles with both the red and green sauce! You will not be going wrong with this. I am relatively vegetarian, and so if you don't eat lard, you can also get the black beans as another vegetarian option!

When we entered the restaurant, I was immediately impressed with all of the accolades that Amelia's Kitchen seems to have accrued over the years. Maybe that set my expectations too high. We made a reservation, which I highly recommend, so we were quickly seated. but it did take a bit for someone to actually come and greet us and take our drink orders after being sat down. Then it was probably another 40 minutes before we actually got our food. I'm not sure if it was this lag time that affected the food quality, but several of my items were just lukewarm and some even cold? The star of the show was definitely, the molcajete. This came out sizzling and full to the brim with shrimp, nopales, chicken, asada, cheese, and lots of other goodies. In hindsight, I probably should've ordered one for myself. I went with the chicken mole enchiladas. Again, the sauce was okay but not super spicy, and it was a little cold, as was my side of rice and beans. We also ordered the mini birria chimis to share. and these were just OK, they tasted like frozen food. Overall, if you come here, I highly recommend getting the molcajete, but can't really vouch for any other items. Maybe we'll try it again on a less busy night.
