Carne Asada, Pollo and Carnitas Taco Salad
Tamisha Y.

Ordered the shredded beef taco salad for lunch. The salad was basically the chunks off the end of a lettuce head. The "salad" was depressing. The cold chunks of lettuce mixed with the hot piping meat of the shredded beef made my salad soggy and the texture was ruined because of it. Meat was so tender but lacked some seasoning. The waitress was attentive but did not refill our drinks until after we were almost done eating. Poor service there for ya.

2 dollar margarita

The best Mexican food ever. Get the Molcajetes! Also the 2 dollar margarita Mondays! They make the drinks strong and the food amazing.

Chicken Enchiladas and Fresh Shrimp platter were super yummy and so flavorful!

Come here all the time and needed to rate it so others can share in the delight! Great food, great service, and reasonable prices is what keeps us coming back. They also have a unique bean dip that comes with the chips and salsa that cannot be beat!

Carne Asada
William Z.

Nothing I ordered came out looking anything like any of the picture they put on their menu. The carne asada looks like boiled beef from Filiberto . The shrimp cocktail looks like Clamato tomato and a few shrimps. Missing like 3 ingredients that where in the photo. Bland. Never ever again. I even went as far as complaining to the manager about my experience with the food quality. They didn't seem to care all I wanted was the money.

Number 21. One Cheese Enchilada, Taco and Chile Relleno Combo

I can't believe the bad reviews this place has! A group of 7 of us went on Saturday night and we were seated right away. The service was terrific. The drinks and food were incredible! I am very picky about red enchilada sauce, but this one was delicious. I am pretty critical about margaritas as well, but this one passes the test. They have good specials during the week I can't wait to go back for those.

Nice booths, fast service and very good food and drinks.

How is it that I've never been here before? The bright yellow and blue building on 12th avenue is…read moreso inviting! The space is roomy with lots of booths and tables! The menu is huge! It took my friend and I forever to figure out what to order! We finally settled on the shrimp ceviche bowl to start - amazing and chock full of shrimp! It came with crackers and tostadas! I also got a fish and marlin taco - both were great and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the red spices on the marlin! I also enjoyed my side salad (although the dressing options could have been better) , the best side was the white rice with a few veggies thrown in - the flavor was so great, I could have eaten this all day! There's a seafood counter in the front too, where you can purchase seafood to go. Loved this place! I plan to be back in the very near future!!

YES, 2 sizes medium $8.31# and large $12.80ish# from Sea Cortez, MX. Also got clams $4.16# to make paella. Gal at counter was very patient and helpful answering questions on source of fish, shellfish for my paella, as more seafood was being put out @11AM. Whole Snapper $7-8# will wait for next trip! Note there is about a 3% upcharge for using a card vs cash ;) Outside is very visible with bright yellow exterior, a large paved parking lot you enter before the intersection. Inside is very clean, no fishy smell, and dining area and seafood counter with small shelf of sauces, snacks are on one side, separated by full bar with counter seats and TV as you enter from the parking lot. Checked the restaurant menu for offerings to return for future sit down meal, and asked what kind of fish was served whole $30 --it's Pargo|Snapper Yay! or more typically the Mojarra|Tilapia which I don't eat / inflammatory. Marlin Taco $5 and Skate $3 are also must trys as infrequently seen on other menus. Definitely a fan of the counter service, now for that paella, gotta get cookin'!

This spot checked all the boxes with the food, service, drinks, and vibe. We went about 1 p.m. so we greeted and seated promptly. Our server was very welcoming and attentive. I ordered a cocktail and it came in a beautiful glass with smoke inside a lantern. It tasted great too. I ordered a mango ceviche with cooked shrimp. It was so good! The juice in it was delicious. Sweet, tangy and spicy. I would have drank it but I was beyond full. She brought out tostadas and saltine crackers for our meals. They have a self serve salsa bar where you can grab your own salsa and cucumbers. They have neon signage everywhere with fun sayings. I took the Liberty of taking a photo by the mirror near the bathroom. I just had to. This place is IG worthy. Very instagramable. While there, someone was celebrating their birthday and they came out with beautiful Katrina mass and sparklers to serenade the birthday girl. That was fun to watch! Overall 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend this spot if in the area.

The restaurant is conveniently located about 5 miles off the 10 freeway, making it an easy detour if you don't want to stray far from your route. I ordered the Trio Aguachiles, which comes with approx a cup servings of green, red, and black aguachiles--perfect if you want to sample a bit of everything. The black aguachiles were by far the standout: bold, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. The red aguachiles leaned more toward a coctel profile, heavy on the Clamato, which wasn't quite what I was expecting. The green aguachiles were fresh but unfortunately very bland, lacking salt and seasoning. I ended up adding my own spices and mixing them with the black aguachiles. I wouldn't recommend ordering the green aguachiles on their own. My husband ordered the Cheto Roll and the Valencia Roll. The flavors were good overall, but both rolls were a bit rice-heavy and could have more filling to better balance each bite. The ambience was a pleasant surprise--moody music at a comfortable volume, a clean and luxe feel, and attentive, friendly waitstaff throughout our visit. Prices felt fair for what you get. Overall, this is a great stop for a mariscos fix while traveling, especially if you want something convenient and don't want to steer too far off your route. We'd stop again--just with a more selective order next time.

My daughter wanted quesabirria tacos but online I didn't see that they offered them, so I called just to ask, and lo and behold, they actually do offer them, so on our way we went. The restaurant is very cute and I love the table and chair sets. We got seated right away and our server was quick and helpful. They serve a delicious warm bean dip with their chips so it's not just salsa and I loved it! We also started with a michelada that was very well made and flavorful. My cheese enchiladas were so cheesy and the best cheese pull and they were absolutely delicious. My daughter ended up loving her quesabirria tacos and my husband ordered the El Patron mariscos which was massive, fresh, delicious and served with 2 oyster shots that hit the spot! Overall we had a fabulous dinner here with something that everyone loved and would totally come back!
