Food is great. Salsa/Guac lady was amazing. Don't forget to tip her. Inside is nice.....but....the wait kills it. Expect to wait. Especially if you want dinning seating. (Seems their busiest time is Fridays between 4-7pm). You're more lucky sitting at the bar. As a party of 3, it took 1hr to finally get seated. I highly recommend the restaurant consider using Yelps wait list check in. read more

Love the table side salsa. Food is fresh, yet sometimes takes time to get to the table during lunch or dinner busy times.

When I first came to Tucson 16 years ago, I fell in love with the food at Guadalajara on Oracle. So recently when we had guests from Alaska I ordered takeout dinners to have at our new home in Marana. I placed 6 dinner orders early and went over the order 3 times with the woman who answered the phone. We only received 5 dinners. Fajitas without tortillas, chicken enchiladas were overcooked. My guests from Alaska probably ate better Mexican food in Alaska. read more

Food was good as always. The server started off decent then she kinda trickled off towards the end. But overall she was nice. The place was pretty slow for a Saturday at 8:45pm but guy said it was probably because they had their 23rd Anniversary event goin on today at their Kolb location which took most of their clientele. Restaurant itself was pretty clean and decor was cool! We always love the table side salsa too! Will definitely be b read more

What a fun afternoon at Guadalajara Grill, thanks to Yelp! We enjoyed perfectly mixed margaritas, delicious appetizers, and even played a lively game of Lotería. The made-at-the-table salsa was incredibly fresh and had just the right amount of heat--exactly how I asked for it. Their beef mini chimichangas were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The venue itself is beautiful, colorful, and full of energy--such a vibrant atmosphere! Can't wait to come back. read more

We had an excellent noon time meal at Guadalajara Restaurant. We split the 2 item combo plate. At the very beginning we had the salsa made tableside, what a treat. Be sure and tip the lady who makes the salsa to your specifications. She's probably not your server. Oscar was our server. He was very attentive and has a great personality. The decor was beautiful. Nice soft booths or tables large enough for your lunch meeting. It was nice and cool and modern Mexican music played in the background. I highly recommend Guadalajara's. read more

We were in Tucson on vacation and stopped in to try this restaurant. The host was super friendly as was all the staff. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. The table side prepared salsa and guacamole is excellent! The food had plenty of flavor and also generous portions. My wife and grandson enjoyed the experience as well as the food. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for good Mexican at a set down restaurant. read more

Stopped by Guadalajara's and overall had a pretty good experience. The ambiance is solid--comfortable, welcoming, and has that lively, casual vibe you'd want from a Mexican spot. The fresh salsa was definitely a highlight--super flavorful and freshly made right in front of the table. I also really enjoyed the fresh lemonade; it was refreshing and not overly sweet, which was perfect. As for the food, the portion sizes were generous, so come hungry. I tried the Mexican seafood cocktail, and while it was decent, I've definitely had fresher. It wasn't bad by any means, just didn't blow me away. The guacamole, unfortunately, was a little too salty for my taste, but that might come down to personal preference. The service was excellent too! All in all, a nice place to grab a filling meal with some standout fresh items, especially if you're into good salsa and lemonade. read more

A group of us went for lunch recently and unfortunately it was not a great experience. It took a really long time to get our food and the restaurant was not packed. There were plenty of open tables around us but even getting salsa was 30 minutes after we got chips. Once we had finished eating we waited another 40 minutes for the bill and although we were told that we could have separate checks by table, they brought out one bill for all of us and refused to break it up. The food was good however, we will not be back due to the service. read more

Service has really gone downhill. Long waits even when the restaurant is not full. Ordered salsa and it was completely thin and runny. Table-side salsa is still delicious, saving the restaurant from a one star review. read more

Me and my boyfriend came here on our Tucson trip. We found this spot by our hotel and decided to check it out. Upon entering the restaurant is decorated so cute. The decor is very lively and creates a fun atmosphere. We were seated in a booth and given our menus. The menus to this place are huge. It's basically a little book that you are given. It makes it hard if you're an indecisive person. But lots of good looking choices! There were vegetarian options as well if I remember correctly. Our server was slow with getting to us. However, we didn't mind it as we were enjoying the company. But if you are on a time crunch or not trying to be there long it may be an issue. Our favorite part was the salsa! They bring a cart around and make the salsa fresh in front of you. You can choose your spice level still while it is being made. For an appetizer we got the birria quesadilla. It was so flavorful and delicious. I would eat a whole one as a meal for sure. The meat was tender and everything was well put together. For food, I ordered a salmon plate. It was pretty decently sized and looked very appealing. It tasted pretty good, however, I'm not sure I would order it again. I would wanna try something different. My boyfriend got a fajita plate that had chicken, carne asada, and shrimp in it. Everything was tender and flavorful on his plate. It was a big plate and it still came with beans and rice on the side. Lastly, we also tried some drinks. We each got a margarita to try. They came out pretty and generously sized. Our one drink lasted us the whole meal time. They taste a little strong so try a sweeter flavor if you're not into that. Some fun information from their menu, they have a margarita fountain you can purchase for larger groups! Overall, we will definitely come back when visiting again. The salsa was delicious and the food is worth it. I only lowered my stars due to the waiting time of our server. read more

If you have lots of time to waste this is the place, I was seated and waiter came 15 later, salsa lady took another 5 minutes and this was a visit during none peak hours. Also, I am not sure why they add a surcharge before tax, and on top of that, the surcharge got taxed. This is a scam. read more

Food was great! But I placed a takeout order that they said would take 15 minutes. They were very busy so it took about 45, I get that. No where to sit while you wait. But then I got home and called in because my queso did not come with Chips. I thought they forgot them. Apparently they do not come with Chips, it comes with tortillas, Which is OK but they also were not in my bag . I called to check on it, I was put on hold and they forgot about me. I hung up after 11 minutes called back in and finally got my answer. Great food if you have the time to wait. Just check and make sure that your order is complete when you take it. My fault for not checking read more

Writing this in regards to the service that we had on 4-11-26 at the Marana location. Made a reservation, walk in, not very busy, get seated, 15 MINUTES GO BY BEFORE WE ARE EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED by one of the three hostess. She brought us waters. Then our drink orders and water refills took another 15 minutes! This is by far the worst service I've experienced. Food and drinks were as expected, fantastic, but the service could possibly be the worst I've ever had. read more

Service was pretty quick. Had the arroz con pollo. It was very good but the actual chicken breast was pretty bland as if it weren't seasoned before being cooked. Rice and sauce and beans were excellent. read more

The service was sufficient and seating was immediate. Chips and salsa were promptly brought to our table as was the guacamole. There is a charge for both. Chips and salsa are usually complimentary in most Mexican restaurants but not here. Both were good. Shrimp tacos (2) were served with rice and beans. Tacos were on a heated (but turned cold) corn tortilla, unfrozen shrimp, topped with lettuce and a side of sour cream and dab OG guacamole. They were awful. Tortilla fell apart and taco had to be eaten with a fork (!!!). Black beans came from a can, not even warm and topped with queso. White rice also not warm and tasteless. Had a side of pinto beans, which were sour. Honestly, the taco truck down the road serves better food and at a far less expensive price. I won't be returning or recommending. read more

This is the first time I try this location, but all of my food was absolutely delicious. The table size salsa is my favorite thing of all time. I always get extra garlic and extra cilantro. When this place first opened it was an excellent addition to the pavilion. Initially the service was top tier and the food was excellent. Now it's just another wasted opportunity for a restaurant to succeed on this part of town. The food has drastically gone down in quality. The past THREE times I went we get at least one of our dishes cold. When you advise them of such, it appears they pop it in the microwave. The service is poor. Most of the time there is no hostess to sit you down when you enter. It's just a table with an iPad and a hope that someone will see you. Twice I had to physically walk in and grab a random waiter and ask to be seated. It used to be easier for them to see but now they put a small black curtain that blocks everyone's view. Last time was the same experience. Avoid if at all possible! read more

Food is still good but the service is poor. Waited 20 minutes to finally get a servers attention. I have a food allergy which from what I observed from our server, was not taken seriously. I think they come off the list of our favorite restaurants read more

I normally give a higher rating for this establishment, but I dropped it this time due to several things. We had a party of 9 celebrating my upcoming retirement. My family was here from the Bay Area and the Midwest. No one answered the phone or responded to online attempts to make a reservation. We got on the Waitlist upon arrival, and we're informed that due to a Server not showing up, our table was ready but we couldn't be seated due to others covering the bar. We waited about 15 minutes and had a lovely start to our meal which included the tableside salsa and tableside guacamole. The wheels came off again when my daughter, who is a Chef at another restaurant, and my cousin were served their meals. They were to have a fan of avocado on the plate with their meal. I will include a photo of what they received. They both pointed out that the plating didn't match the description or photo to our Server. He indicated that he would bring their concern to the manager. He later returned with additional avocado slices, and explained that the "cook was new." This was an unacceptable excuse. read more

This is an absolute no. As a Hispanic woman, I'm sure I'm biased when it comes to Mexican food. Table side Salsa is neat. Nothing had seasoning. It took forever to get service to bring salt and pepper which didn't help the meal. Don't let the look fool you, bland, bland, bland. The restaurant itself is beautiful, sad there's no real pride put into the dishes. The best part was the beer. Nobody ever came to check-in, the person finally returned and asked if I wanted a box for my untouched food. The lack of care, and concern is shameful. I got the carne al carbon, the description said it had chorizo. Should have described as having a garnish. This is a $24 plate, which would be bad if factoring in the chorizo as a part of the plate as well. I did appreciate the medium cook if the meat, rice is meh, beans were terrible. This is supposed to come with pico de gallo which I preferred not to have, maybe that's where the flavor profile was? read more

I'm just not a fan of this chain. You're in Tucson which is basically America's Mecca of Mexican food, and you're gonna come here? The staff is nice and the food is okay, if you just don't want to drive into the city for Mexican food then this is a reasonable option. read more

The food here is very good, but honestly overpriced. Service is fine, but a tad on the slow side. Ambience is good, but whatever you do don't sit on the west side of the restaurant. It's a small somewhat enclosed area and it gets sooooooo hot, especially when the sun is setting. My family and I dined in this area for my brother's birthday at the end of January and it was just so hot and unpleasant. Tableside salsa is a good feature. I've gotten fajitas a few times and they are good. Portions are large too. Overall a decent option but there is often a long wait so keep that in mind. read more

Went on a Sunday evening, so it was quick to get a table. The music was enjoyable. They offer table side salsa with the option of heat level. It was a nice experience to have this a table side. However the salsa was so watery and lacked flavor, eespecially salt. We had to waive down the server for salt as there was none on the table. I had the seafood enchilada with 1 lobster, 1 shrimp, and 1 fish. Overall they were good, but the fish enchilada was too fishy tasting that I only had 1 bite of that enchilada. If I come back, I don't think I'll get anything on the seafood menu again. read more

I was visiting relatives in the area with my family who suggested Guadalajara's for a great Mexican cuisine. We were all very impressed with the service and high quality of food and diverse menu. Most of us started out with their signature Margarita which was very good. They also have quite a few specialty Margaritas. I highly recommend having the "table prepared" salsa and guacamole. They were perfect and spectacular. Even the house made chips were tasty and light. When ordering, I was between having the lobster enchilada or the Mexican Paella. The Paella is what I decided on which was excellent. Over Spanish rice, a tasty preparation of mussels, shrimp, chicken and fish. The venue is located in a shopping area. with plenty of parking for the standalone restaurant. The inside vibe is busy and energetic. read more

First and last time eating here. My carne Asada cartilage and other crunchy matter in it. My wife's shredded beef was overcooked to the point of being crunchy, as well. The server "misunderstood" my wife's drink order to serve her a drink $8 dollars more that what she ordered. The server also served me some garbage beer, other than what i ordered. Manager was no help. The food was poor quality, the server was inept (in my opinion, cunning and unethical). There are better quality restaurants in Sonora, Mexico or even podunk Coolidge, AZ. We wanted to try this place since we have one in Oro-Valley. To say it nicely - we were not impressed. The chicken had no flavor, the chimi bursted out the oil it was cooked in. Other than the hostess was not very efficient, was a nice dinner. Love the way it was decorated with large format , colorful pictures and artwork. Once we were seated and had gone through 1/2 basket of chips the lady with the salsa cart came by. Easily THE BEST salsa we've had at any restaurant. She worked magic with her bowl & pestle. Full of flavor with just the right kick at the backend. Would go back, solely for the salsa! I ordered the chicken nachos. At first glance, thought the portion was a bit small, but I ate it for 20 minutes & it looked like I hadn't touched it! Soooo much shredded chicken, cheese and jalapeños. Yummy! Grandson ordered the chile Colorado and his plate was wiped clean with his flour tortilla - every bite gone! Husband ordered a dish with super tender beef and a nice sauce and corn tortillas. He loved it, but can't remember the name ..... :) Also ordered a couple of micheladas that were very tasty. So, except for the hostess & the fact that we would have liked the salsa a little earlier- will definitely be back when in the area read more
