We ordered a couple beers and two pizzas: the bianco pizza and a quattro carne pizza. We also got a salad on the side. The salad was fresh but a little mid, but the pizza was excellent. Such crispy crust. I was excited to see they have a lot of trivia nights so I'm excited to come back for more festivities.

The condiment caddy was visibly dirty...the mustard bottle had dried mustard around the cap, and the pepper shaker was so caked with who-knows-what that I couldn't even get any pepper out. The restaurant had only a few guests, so it certainly wasn't a matter of the items just coming from another table. The walls were dirty as well, and so was the glass on the entry door. These may seem like small details, but they make a big impression. Basic cleanliness and attention to these simple details should be a priority, especially in a restaurant.

Old Pueblo Cellars is serving up a some great unique wine varietals like Malvasia Bianca, tannat, malbec, Cabernet, Syrah and other unique blends like their Super Tucson. The wine tasting room is a bit small and but has a personal charm of southwestern themes. The outdoor patio areas are great to view the local landscape and take in the warm weather and watch the occasional thunderstorm. Also check out their wine flavored slushies when available.

But then again it makes since when it's 110 degrees outside and going wine tasting. After taking a brief tour of the property, we went inside and were greet by the nicest and most compassionate woman you could ever meet... Next to my wife of course. She was friendly, gave us the history of the winery and shared with us what brought her to work at Old Pueblo. We were there a little over an hour sharing stories; how we met our partners, what's fascinating about wines and what makes Old Pueblo unique. The wines were delicious; 100% organic and prepared in a way where you enjoy every sit and get every bit of the flavor as intended. This is definitely saved on our list of wineries outside of California that we will be going back to. Just got to plan the next road trip.

Also, this place was my first experience with mead! All of the flavors are so cool, and you can get a flight if you can't decide or just want to try a bunch. With games to play while you watch others sing, or between your songs, it's a great place to spend the whole evening. Drinks, food, entertainment, games -- what more can you ask for? I also like that karaoke starts early, at 7 p.m. and is done at 11. A nice early night for those of us who don't always like to be out late on a weeknight.

We learned that the mugs are part of the owner's personal collection, which he has been building for years. That makes the atmosphere feel even more special and authentic. Hayden was our bartender and a true mixologist. He was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks and the history behind the place, including the artwork created by someone from the University of Arizona's art department. We loved hearing the stories behind all the details. Alex ordered the Desert Comber, and I had the Painkiller. Both drinks were phenomenal--and very strong, which made them even more phenomenal-om-om-om! We also shared the shishito peppers, which were delicious. The entire experience was unique, fun, and memorable. It truly feels like you've escaped Tucson and entered another world. We were looking for something to nosh on - there was a food truck out back serving burgers, but we went for the large charcuterie tray which was perfect for the 4 of us (see photo). The beer and wine menu is not huge - there is basically one "on tap" for every kind of style, and there are big fridges if you want to buy a bottle or can. We all found something to enjoy. We have added this place to our list to take visitors, it makes for a very enjoyable evening and I highly recommend it.

Sad panda, but it is still a good burger. I just really love to taste the burger at a rare temp. I also asked for a cup of the gumbo. My first bite was SO salty. I don't know if it was in storage or not fresh, but it was a salt lick. Could not taste the flavor past the saltiness. Good locals place, and prices are reasonable. Two visits doesn't make a pattern. But so far my experience is that you can walk in at any time and receive the same dismissive attitude. To be clear, I don't necessarily fault the individuals - this is typically a management issue (coming from someone who has worked behind the bar). Bottom line, a simple hello goes a long way, just sayin. Our business favors those who realize their patrons have options. FWIW this is my first-ever "negative" review. In any state. Take that for what it is. If I don't like a place, I just don't go back. But there's a missed opportunity here, y'all. We went to a different Trident in Tucson and met the best server ever, no lie. IV, please get it together and we'll come back.
