I decided to revisit Trident, as it has been a few years. I usually go to another establishment, but we all need to venture out of our usual places now and again. I was greeted by the bartender who was SUPER friendly and made me feel very welcome. There were others at the bar that asked if I needed a seat at the bar. Very cool vibe. Sports bar vibe....with a family friendly place as well. The second bartender that relived the first one was..nice and friendly, but I did not get that "happy your here "feeling. I ordered the HH cod tacos with slaw, avocado lime sauce, and salsa. They were so good!! The blend of the fresh fish with the slaw....YUMMY. The fish was perfectly cooked. Crisp and not greasy, and so flavorful. I wondered why they delivered a bunch of napkins and ....a few bites in I realized. All over the face, and dripping down the chin....good!! :-) I got a burger to go, with added green chilies. I asked for rare, and I got medium to medium well. Sad panda, but it is still a good burger. I just really love to taste the burger at a rare temp. I also asked for a cup of the gumbo. My first bite was SO salty. I don't know if it was in storage or not fresh, but it was a salt lick. Could not taste the flavor past the saltiness. Good locals place, and prices are reasonable. Been here twice in two months - once during a weekday happy hour and once on a Saturday night. Different staff both times but the vibe was the same: annoyed that we came in at all, and apathetic at best. Two visits doesn't make a pattern. But so far my experience is that you can walk in at any time and receive the same dismissive attitude. To be clear, I don't necessarily fault the individuals - this is typically a management issue (coming from someone who has worked behind the bar). Bottom line, a simple hello goes a long way, just sayin. Our business favors those who realize their patrons have options. FWIW this is my first-ever "negative" review. In any state. Take that for what it is. If I don't like a place, I just don't go back. But there's a missed opportunity here, y'all. We went to a different Trident in Tucson and met the best server ever, no lie. The good news: portion sizes are quite large, and their fries are wonderful. The bad news: be careful before ordering an appetizer, you probably won't finish your entree. We had to try the deep fried pickles (excellent, they are spears not chips), but I had to leave most of my fries behind. Also be aware that the sound level can be pretty high making it hard to carry on a conversation without shouting. Service was snappy and efficient - our drinks were kept full. Atmosphere is bar-like with a see-through kitchen. My wife had the fish & chips - excellent. I had the Captain's platter which is a little bit of everything. The shrimp were to die for. The one downside is everything came fried in the same batter & oil, so everything starts to kinda taste the same. We'll be back the next time we get a craving for deep-fried seafood! read more

I had the worst Old Fashioned of my life. Couldn't even drink it. I was there around 2pm so avoid if you want an Old Fashioned. Crab cakes were burned on the bottom. Not good. I have had an excellent experience at the other locations but will never go to this location again. Waist of $30! On a positive note, customer service was very good!! read more

Just moved here from Denver, Navy Veteran, and former International Waiter/Bartender a thousand years ago in my 20s. The waitresses and waiters remind me of those cool down to earth no bs types that won't just answer questions about favorite plates to upsell you or pretend like Raisins South Park, the food is quick, fresh, and excellent. TVs playing all sports at every angle so you can choose the right side of the table to sit on, and there's always a positive vibe. I highly recommend this place! read more

If you appreciate pub-style cuisine, this establishment might be to your liking. This was our initial visit, and I do not anticipate a return. We found everything to be excessively salty, and the food did not seem fresh in the slightest. None of us enjoyed our meals. My husband's fish and chips were not palatable at all. My mother's shrimp platter was overcooked, and her fries were also too salty. My Philly Cheesesteak did not meet my expectations based on my previous experiences with the dish. Additionally, my sweet potato fries were overly salted. We have no personal complaints regarding our server, as her service was excellent. The HH menu has a delightful selection of tasty dishes. I would recommend the buttermilk chicken tenders. I was expecting small cuts of chicken tenders. To my surprise, it was chicken patties size! After a recent high school football playoff game our group of three was looking for a place to eat before driving back to Phoenix. We were very hungry and needed an open kitchen and open till midnight. Trident Grill IV gave us both! Being relatively late the place was not crowded at all with four patrons in the whole place. The bartender and our waitress worked well together and were very friendly and open to talk since it wasn't crowded. The dining area and bar are seamless and not huge so it is easy to imagine this place packed on game days for NFL, NBA, or college sports. Pretty diverse menu for a sports bar that didn't just follow typical pub grub staples. My friends got Fish and chips (2 large pieces of cod) and BLT that was very large in portion on Texas Roast. I went with the Maui Wowy burger that was great. This burger had a lot of flavors going on from the burger to the bacon, then the kalua pork, teriyaki, and pineapple kicked it up a notch (though not a big pineapple fan on anything the sweet did taste really good all together in each bite). Each plate came with a generous portion of fries and we all left satisfied. At the End of the Day Trident gave us a great meal on the way home and while nothing noteworthy (though my burger was excellent) we appreciated the service and full menu so late. In a side note this is definitely a Green Bay Packers watering hole if you are looking to gather with other cheese heads! read more

Came back again just to see if the service would be different this time. We were greeted and sat and our server came and served us which was more than the first time we came. She was lovely and accommodating too. Getting us condiments and refilling our drinks. The food was great. As for the food, I tried two menu items: the shrimp tacos and the crab-stuffed mushrooms. The food was just okay--and that's being generous. Apparently no one wrote it down and "it was an honest mistake," but saying you're sorry and that you can split us into 3 booths instead (?!?!!), is not enough to make up for promising 10 people a table together and then letting us down. You could at least have offered a round of drinks or appetizers for our trouble. I'm glad your customers mean that much to you. First time at this location and I would return. The service was fantastic. I wish I caught our servers name but she was very attentive and was helpful in helping me decide what to order from their massive menu. I went with a cup of clam chowder and the baked Alaskan cod tacos. The clam chowder was decent, they do not skimp on the clams. The tacos were different, topped with actual coleslaw that they also serve as a side for the entrees. The portion size for the tacos was generous, especially for the price, and the salsa was better than some Mexican restaurants. I was missing a sprinkle of cilantro on top. We also got a side of Old Bay fries and they were crispy and delicious! Between 2 of us we couldn't even eat half of them. They had the Monday night game on the TVs and the sound on too. Food-based on waitress recommendations got fish n chips with onion rings instead of fries. Nothing was especially different from any seafood restaurant I've eaten at. Onion rings were cold and I wasn't willing to send them back as I was on a tight timeline. Service was just meh. No real follow up after food was served. Ambiance-didn't realize that Trident grills are primarily a sports bar. Servers were all wearing a bare midriff look ala Hooters. No one that worked there seemed happy. This used to be my place if I wanted a really good burger. My last 3 visits in 2026 have been less than wonderful. From the burgers being over cooked, to the service lacking and getting worse with each visit. On one occasion, we were seated, waited for a server to get a drink, no one approached us for several minutes, so I went looking for one. It turned out to be the person who sat us in the first place and never offered us a beverage. On that occasion and the next, the server asked if we needed anything else with the food and when we asked for mayo, it never came. The same situation on the next visit regarding the mayo and when she was waved at from behind the glass, she suddenly remembered it. What she brought was gross and old. Mayo is something I put on the bun, therefore, if I am waiting for it, my burger is getting cold. I use the term server loosely because they are now nothing more than order takers. No suggestion, no conversation, just, "Are you ready to order". This is very sad and certainly not worthy of even a 15% tip. This restaurant needs to get back to basics and proper training of the staff. read more

A sports bar at its best. An abundance of TV's for your sports viewing pleasure. Spacious seating, large bar area. Our waitress was quite pleasant, a nice smile every time she came to our table. It was late in the evening and they were doing many closing duties so the attentiveness to our table was not like it should be, However, anytime we waived she came right over. We were recommended the burgers as this was our first trip. My son had the T- town burger, this burger came with a whole half of an avocado! He said at first he wasn't to sure about the potato salad, but soon said it was actually some of the best he has had. For my burger I went with the mushroom Swiss. Thick, juicy, packed with mushrooms and cheese on a brioche bun. This burger was perfectly medium rare as ordered and needed no condiments. The onion rings were nicely battered and have a nice onion flavor, the only negative of the onion rings is that they came out unsalted. Dessert was a pizookie and Carmel cheese cake. A nice ending to the meal. All in all the burgers were hands down some of the best in Tucson. We have attempted to try this place in the past and maybe it was just timing, but this is the first time we were actually able to get a table and Trident Grill did not disappoint. After reading many reviews for Trident Grills, especially for fish & chips, I had the opportunity to meet a friend at the Ina location. We were seated in a small alcove near the kitchen. There was plenty of seating in the main dining room and don't know why we were put in small room at a small table. Hailey J was our server and came back a few times before we ordered. I ordered the fish & chips, served with fries and cole slaw and asked for a small side salad also. What I got was the large entree-sized salad for $8.50. She had a hard time explaining dressing choices to me. I ordered the balsamic vinaigrette, she asked if I wanted the reduction?? When I got the salad, I got straight vinegar! I didn't realize it until I poured the dressing on, took a bite and choked for a few minutes! When I could finally get her attention, I asked again about the dressing. She didn't have a clue, so I asked to have another one made with Thousand Island dressing. Okay. Done. The fish was really good, the fries were average and the cole slaw was tasteless. My friend had the pastrami sandwich that she said was good, except it had cajun mustard on it (drenched) and it was too spicy. She tried to scrape it off but wasn't very successful. She didn't send it back because she realized she should have asked to leave it off when she ordered. After we received our food, we didn't see Hailey J again until she came over, telling us she was leaving. She asked if we wanted her to transfer us to another server or check out. She seemed to want her tip. We told her we would check out. I had an order of mac & cheese to go and wasn't ready for it yet. She was to let someone know that I would like it ready in about a half hour. 45 minutes went by and I had to find another server to ask about the to-go order. She located it for me and we left the restaurant. My husband loved his green chili mac & cheese. The best part of the entire experience. The cost of this was a bit excessive, mainly because of the large "side" salad. Diet Coke $3.75, Fish-n-chips $18, House salad (not side) $8.50, Mac-N-Cheese $12, with tax and tip it was close to $50. My friend paid separately. Will I go back? The jury is still out. I may try another location if and when I decide I am ready to do so. read more

We decided to come have dinner at trident off of INA RD . we were not disappointed. Service was prompt and efficient. The ambience, is loud and lively which serves well because it is restaurant bar. Decided to get the fried pickles which were super delicious. My daughter enjoyed them tomato was tasty too spicy not too tomato flavor . I'm a sucker for wings so I got the H1 wings. They were delicious, but I need a little more heat so I decided to H2 sauce delivered the impact element. We have been going to trident for several years. The food is decent, the fried pickles are great. Unfortunately, we will no longer be going back due to dishonest staff. They help themselves to lost and found items. I called 5 mins after leaving and they confirmed they had it, only to be told when I arrived to pick it up, that the cover of the item was there but the actual item was now missing. The manager even confirmed it was in a place only the staff had access to. He was going to check the cameras but that has not happened after several follow ups. Pretty disappointing. read more

I do not usually eat bar food, because I'm not a fan of greasy food. I came here this past Sunday to watch the game and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. It was fun and energetic. For hard seltzers, they only carry white claw. I loved the mussels. The thai curry sauce was very unique and a great flavor. I was not a fan of the Paleo bowl. It was really annoying to try to eat it and not spill it, since it was packed too tight in its bowl. I would not order this again. It was also pretty plain and the chicken tasted a little burnt. The wings were really good but the sliders only came with 2 and were overcooked. Great place to watch big games. read more
