There really not too much to ask for here. There's a nice view of the golf course, a nice and quiet resort and to top it off some pretty good food. I came here for a company meeting and for lunch we were treated this restaurant. It was pretty relaxing, with an outdoor seating and enjoying the golfers go at it on a nice sunny day. I started off with an rock shrimp and calamari for an appetizer, legendary burger for main entree and a Vesper martini to drink and enjoy. The rock shrimp and calamari was delicious. The pieces were big and you can tell they picked out the good parts of the calamari, not just adding bits and crumbs. Definite recommend! The burger was cooked to my desired request (rare) and they made it just as rare without going over to the medium-rare or medium side. The egg definitely gave the burger the cherry on top! The bacon was nicely cut and the tomatillo sauce was rich and tasty. Overall a very good burger enjoyed with pub fries which couldn't have gone wrong. The drink was made without questioned. They made it just right, shaken not stirred so I could last the final party of my meeting and the lemon twist was beautiful twisted! Overall I enjoyed eating here. Definitely a place to put on my list of delicious resort dining. read more

I dined at Legends two nights in a row during my five night stay at the resort. What this restaurant seems to be when looking at the menu and pictures is exactly what it is in person, hold some unfortunate oddities. I really enjoyed the food, and the place, though there are some things that are frustrating, and what is ultimately keeping this review from being a 5-star. To start, the dining area is very attractive--it's what you would expect of a more casual eating establishment at a higher-end golf resort; it has a warmer, classy feel, with a slight hometown pub feel, but it's still very casual. It is on the smaller side, so keep that in mind. In addition, there is a nice billiards section. Also, the girls that serve the tables are fantastic and deserving of the tips that they received. The food, while reasonably priced, was phenomenal and seemed very creative. Both the baby spinach salad and shrimp fresco that I had were very tasty, and were just the right amount of food. I tend to be more on the particular size about portions, and they hit the nail on the head. I was not only able to finish the dishes, but I was also filled up. As for the frustrating things, there are a few. The restaurant itself is long and narrow with only one row of very large tables in front of the bar, and a medium-sized billiards area. With a maximum capacity of 75, it can get quite noisy when on the fuller side. When you see the resort and guard-gated neighborhood in which this pub resides, you get an image in your head of the type of clientele this restaurant might attract. Unfortunately, the behavior that I saw from some patrons came off as unruly, and not at all what I was expecting. Remember when you were 12, and it gave you great pleasure and pride to be as loudly crude as possible in civilized places? Yeah, that's how I saw 35+ year old men behaving. Now, I'm no prude, and I cuss and discuss controversial subjects probably more than your average person; however, I cannot imagine discussing some of the things I heard being shouted in a place like this, even when buzzed, and I'm only 24. I don't like to rain on the parades of others, so I didn't complain, but I found their behavior extremely tacky in a place that is not a Famous Sam's. Staff did not seem fazed, so maybe that's the norm? I do recommend Legends as a solid, nicer joint to get a reasonably-priced, good bite to eat, and I definitely would return. Just keep in mind that the place can get loud, crowded, and have a small amount of loutish individuals that could have the potential to overpower an otherwise pleasant environment. read more

Ordered drinks and arrived with the Wrong mixer. No tonic. They substituted without telling us. Asked to see the manager twice within a 20 minute period. No show. Had to go to the bar frequently to see where are drinks were. I'd fire the lot. There are a few employees that care but and far between. BEWARE! read more

I ate here after a round of golf, and was extremely disappointed. It took them almost 40 minutes to take our order, and another 30 to receive two orders of fish tacos. They only gave us two tacos per order, and tasted very average for the price of 14 dollars. I would definitely not recommend. read more

Jenny and I came for happy hour. Was pretty excited about fish tacos and chili (two of my favorite foods) on the happy hour menu. Unfortunately, both were pretty awful. The tortilla was stale and the fish was a bit fishy but otherwise flavorless. This is Arizona, for crying outloud... Where's the southwest tradition of flavorful foods? Jenny had the sliders, she thought they were petty OK, hence the 2 stars (instead if just one). We also had the French fries... They are stake fries with some sort of crunchy batter. They were actually relatively good. Ordered Mary Ann a mac and cheese off the kids menu with fruit. The fruit is totally not fresh and the mac and cheese is kraft. Yeah, glad we are not paying more for food. Highly recommend you SKIP this awful joint. read more

Had a working dinner here one night after our association meeting. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The space is somewhat limited and a large party had taken over 70% of the tables so with the others we were limited to eating at the bar. We sat at the bar and had drinks for an hour hoping a table would open up, but it didn't happen. Just goes to show you this is a nice place to hang out. I ordered the flat iron steak salad. I got the half order and the portion in my opinion was very large. The steak was cooked to perfection, but was very tough. The flavor was just ok. Fish and chips was ordered in our group and it looked amazing and I was told it tasted amazing as well. But when doesn't fried food look better than a salad. I would definitely come back if I'm ever back at the resort. read more

I came here for a work function and I expected resort prices, I was surprised that Legends was on the price point (if not better) than many places outside of the resort. The staff was fast and friendly and helped with their food and drink selection. They have billiards tables in the side room and a fantastic outdoor patio overlooking the golf course. I didn't eat there, but everyone in the group I was with who did really enjoyed the food. I had their Tennessee Old Fashioned cocktail and it was superb. The rest of the night I stuck to beer, but they have a decent selection of cans and tap. I will be back for drinks AND food in the near future. read more

I visited this restaurant with my wife and a friend. We ordered three salads. One was a half cobb. One was a half enchilada. The third was a full enchilada. First, the food was really good. But.... When the server brought the food, they were not only completely unaware that one of the enchilada salads was a full, and the other a half. Legends used to have great appetizers but have changed menu many times over the years. Trying to be a trendy place instead of a golf club bar and cannot get the traditional tasting apps/small plates they "used" to have in the past. The nacho's are some fancy wanna be when all you want is regular nachos. Instead of "deviled eggs" they could have shrimp ceviche or poppers that tasted like real food and not wanna be fancy trendy food. The wings used to be great but were mediocre at best today. This place is great. I have to admit I was bummed when the steakhouse was closed and not looking forward to bar food. But they raised the bar big time!!! Their wings are out of this world. My hubbie has the fish and chips which were amazing. I had the tacos which were decent. My daughter had the filet which was Amazing. The peppercorn brandy sauce was better than one in a steakhouse. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Their hand crafted drinks are insanely good. I had a grapefruit spicy margarita that was made with vodka and was rockstar status. Just awesome. We went for lunch and the place was full of golfer's which left only 1 table. A few of us non golfer's and complete stranger's decided just to share a larger table. Started with a couple very good Bloody Mary's. Then ordered the tacos. The cook doesn't normally allow mix and match but since it was slow he had no problem cooking a fish and beef taco. Both were excellent! My wife showed up after her spa treatment and ordered the quesadilla which was also excellent! The bartender/server Rebecca was awesome! Stunningly poor! We had a gift certificate here and looked forward to a lovely, casual lunch. We took a couple family members with us but, if we had been alone, we would likely have returned our meals. Typically, when you hear about a Special you expect some of their best fare. Ugh! I was told that one special was pork tenderloin with a side of cobb salad. The pork was not a tenderloin, more like a slice out of a tough pork roast. The cobb salad is hard to describe so I won't even try. Suffice it to say that it was almost inedible and was NOT fresh in any way. My husband had fish and chips and he thought the fish had been frozen too long. The other couple had a reuben and fish sandwich. The reuben got the most positive comments. I'm usually not a fan of resort restaurants and bars. This experience was different . First of all we bellied up to the bar because all the tables were filled with golfers. Then we met Kim. Kim is a fabulous bartender with loads of experience who made us fabulous cocktails and gave great suggestions. The pepper infused bloody mary is the best I've had in a long time. We also indulged in some of the margaritas served in martini glasses and the many different mules. All were fab. As far as food goes, the cream of mushroom soup was amazing and the potato skins were really good, too. We will be back for bloody Mary's and to see Kim. read more

Great service and wonderful views. Food was presented nice, cooked properly - however both times we have been there the food is tasteless. No seasoning of any kind. Last time there I had the french dip, looked great but it so bland I could only 1/2 of it. Fries were same way, they look really good, cooked to perfection but had no taste! My guess is that its been a long time since the cooks or managers have really sat down and evaluated the taste. Drinks have always been good and the price is very reasonable. read more
