Wildflower has a beautiful ambiance for both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The women's bathroom is also beautiful! The Mediterranean Market Bowl and Lemon Olive Oil Cake were both scrumptious! Visited on a Saturday afternoon, with a reservation. The place was full, however, service was impeccable. The green coat tufted booths add an elevated dining experience. The bar is exposed and well positioned. Pricing is fair. (Also, unrelated to this visit, the happy hour salad and fries are enjoyable!) Excellent eatery for an elevated and fulfilling experience! Highly recommend! read more

What has happened to Wildflower? We were with VIP clients last evening, and there were some questionable things that occurred. First, what would cause them to run out of bread at 5:40pm? Second, our server was working hard with multiple tables, but did not seem to be organized in any way--it took forever to get dessert menus, so long that our host began roaming the terrace looking for them! Most of our companions had the salmon, and I believe they found it OK (yay?) but my Hugo Spritz and trifle were weak and just a bowl of sugar. In that order. The terrace was lovely, as always, but it's a shame that a lot of quality and attention to detail has gone by the wayside. read more

It was okay. If I would to comeback that will be for the decor and ambiance. The food was mediocre, and the service was subpar. read more

Wildflower is consistently delicious with its great food, cocktails, and service, and that applies not only to us but also to our boy Axl Rose. The bartender deserves 10 stars for perfectly crafted cocktails and it would be a sin to leave without ordering and enjoying my favorite dessert in town: the "bars of zin." We've been dining here for years and we will definitely keep doing so. read more

I dined here with some colleagues. I planned to get just an appetizer, but the item I wanted was sold out. I ordered the tuna poke bowl and it was excellent. It came with a large amount of tuna. Service was friendly. They separated checks easily. Outdoor seating is under friends and is beautiful. They offer indoor seating as well. Reservations are preferred. read more

Wow wow wow, I can't believe I waited this long to try wildflower. I made reservations and was seated immediately. Our poor waitress Alison was working HARD she had tables inside and outside and was really making sure we weren't neglected. We ordered our mocktails which were amazing and well priced compared to other places I've been. They have fresh baked bread with oil, garlic, Parmesan and she let us know bread should be out soon but we ordered an appetizer in the meantime of calamari which was cooked to perfection and it had an Asian spin on it which was really good. We then got our bread after the appetizer which was nice to munch on while we waited for our food. The short rib ravioli is my absolute favorite it's so flavorful, the sauce is rich and deep in flavor Pro tip- save some bread to wipe up the extra sauce. Desert was the lemon olive oil cake it was a tiny bit dry but it came with ice cream and buttercream and the mixture of everything made it all come together. Honestly it's so cute inside and the patio is nice with the misters. Service was great our waitress was really running around the restaurant but we never felt neglected and the food was phenomenal. This is now one of my favorite spots. read more

Had dinner with a group after work and we enjoyed the food and good libations here! I had the salmon that was perfect. The group was with shared how they enjoyed their dishes as well. We sat on the patio which wasn't too warm out. The breeze on the patio was nice and the company was awesome! Our host checked in on us frequently and tapped off our waters, she was very helpful with menu items and knowledgeable about the dishes they serve. Definitely a place I would visit again to try other menu items. read more

Had a beautiful dinner here Monday night. The service was immaculate. Roy took really good care of us! He was attentive, patient and gave us our privacy so we could enjoy our date. I got the ravioli, mashed potatoes and a margarita. It was all very good! My food was not hot tho, but it was so yummy I didn't mention it. My date got the salmon which was TERRIFIC!!! It was so good I couldn't believe how perfectly cooked and seasoned it was. I will have to get that next time. We ended the night sharing the Italian donuts which were sublime! Amazing 10/10 experience. read more

While on a business trip for a couple of days yelp was the tool used to find and decide on dining at this selected restaurant. The options of inside or outside seating was great. We came two nights for dinner as the first night was a hit for service, food and desired atmosphere. Its a casual to semi formal atmosphere but I can see a little relaxed casual in jeans or some sneaker paired attire. Outside seating was our preferred option on both days as the weather and tree with stringlighting decor set the tone. The staff were very attentive. The menu was pretty easy with a great selection of meal options but not excessive. This gave way to the chefs/cooks being able to serve up meals with precision, taste and presentation. First night dining- We chose cocktails Thai Grapefruit Martini and Fig and Ginger mule. These were made with perfection. We also ordered an Italian Espressotini. We decided on crispy calamari, greek salad, short rib ravioli. The service and food was so good we went a second night following. Second night dining We decided for drinks watermelon Spritz that was rimmed with a slice of watermelon and an unsweetened icetea. Meals were crispy calamari, short rib ravioli and Bolognese. Yet again the drinks and food were prepared to perfection. The food was light and very flavorful. The experience and food was so good that this will be the measure for dining in the future. read more

Wildflower is such a beautiful spot! The location is great, and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and inviting. They have a huge outdoor seating area, and even though it was very hot outside, it actually felt comfortable because of the misting system and fans. The inside is just as lovely. It has that warm, "this is a nice place to be" feeling that makes you want to sit and enjoy your meal. We went for lunch at a great time and were seated immediately with no wait. For an appetizer, we ordered the steamed mussels with spicy Italian sausage, and oh my goodness! If you love mussels, Wildflower knows what they're doing. They were absolutely delicious and probably my favorite thing we ordered. We also had the short rib ravioli, which was fantastic. It was the lunch portion, and my son actually thought it was too small because he loved it so much and wanted more! He completely cleaned his plate, so I'd say that's a pretty solid endorsement. We also ordered the fish and chips, which were delicious as well. I'm not usually a fish-and-chips girl, but the portion was generous and everything was really good. The reason I'm giving Wildflower 3 stars instead of 5 is the service. The food actually came out fairly quickly, but there were some pretty long gaps between interactions with our server. It felt a little sporadic, with very few check-ins throughout the meal. At one point, since we had already received our bill and had been waiting, I asked another waiter if he could take our payment. He told me he couldn't, which I completely understand if that's not something he was allowed to do, but when I asked if he could at least get our server, that didn't happen either. So we continued waiting. The other issue was the table spacing. A large group was seated near us, which obviously isn't a problem, but the tables were so close together that whenever their waiter came over, he was essentially standing right over our table his rear was literally touching the bread basket. I actually had to move our bread out of the way because there simply wasn't enough space. It definitely wasn't the waiter's fault; there just wasn't enough room between the tables. That said, the food and atmosphere were excellent, and I would absolutely come back. Hopefully the service was just an off day because Wildflower has a lot going for it. The mussels alone are worth coming back for! read more

We stopped in for a quick dinner before sunset to end our trip, and had a delicious dinner! We were seated out in the covered patio area. It was the perfect spot to enjoy our meal. Our sever was prompt and very attentive. We order a zero proof drink (the Sunset on Sentinel) and the NA beer they had available. We skipped right to the main course since we had a quick turnaround. I went with the beef short rib ravioli and my husband had the fish and chips. We enjoyed some complimentary bread and oil as a little app before dinner came out. The ravioli was so flavorful (maybe a tiny bit too much cream sauce on the plate) - it was delicious. The fish came out crispy and perfectly battered, and flaky and moist inside. We would definitely come back next time we're in town and spend a little more time enjoying a full meal. We had a great experience. read more

We went to dinner with one of our friends who considers Wildflower one of his favorite restaurants. This was our first time. My wife ordered the fish and chips while my friend and I ordered the New York Strip. My friend mentioned that he typically orders the salmon entre so this was a first for him as well. My wife thought the fish and chips were average for Tucson. The surprise came with the steaks. I ordered medium rare trending to rare while my friend ordered medium. Both came medium plus. Please don't say I should have sent mine back... I don't do that unless an entre is disastrous. The presentation in both our plates were different. My plate seemed to lack the whipped horseradish butter. The smashed potatoes were fairly tasty. I could swear that my broccolini was a mix of undercooked (and I like al dente) green beans and broccolini. I did not like the seasoning spice (smoked paprika?) on the steak. My steak was tough and had more grissel than it should have had. While I did not photograph my friend's steak he thought it wasn't done to the right temperature also and left a portion on his plate. The noise level was excessive. Before I forget, my glass of wine came just before the check but our teas were kept full. I was busy chewing and forgot that the cabernet hadn't come. Wildflower is obviously popular given the full crowd. Let's just charge my negative experience up to my having a different set of taste buds. read more

Wildflower for the win! I was so impressed with my first visit that I returned the very next day and ordered the same thing. On both occasions, we were greeted immediately and shown to a table, as I had made reservations on Open Table. We opted for the outdoor patio which was nicely decorated with string lights and natural greenery. After perusing the menu, I decided on Crisp Calamari to start and Short Rib Ravioli as an entree... and, of course, a couple of cocktails. Food arrived hot and nicely presented. The calamari was well prepared and balanced with a bed of greens. However, the highlight of the evening was the ravioli. It was absolutely delicious, served with roasted mushrooms and an absolutely phenomenal truffle cream sauce. This dish definitely lands in my Top 10... maybe even Top 5. Parking is free and plentiful. If you're ever in Tucson, definitely add Wildflower to your list! read more

Had a late lunch here recently while in the area visiting, it was an excellent choice. We were greeted coming through the doorway and opted to sit outside under the covered open area. Our server brought us menus and tableware, then returned for our drink orders and dropped off water. We went for a couple of the mocktails, to go along with the crispy Calamari appetizer. The drinks were refreshing non alcohol, and were a nice addition to our meal. The calamari was excellent, flash fried beautifully and so tender. For lunch I opted for the Ahi Tuna Poke, a generous serving with fresh avocado on top. With toasted macadamia nuts, cucumber, thai basil, sriracha and pineapple ponzo. It was fresh, full flavored and delicious. We shared the Olive oil cake, it was okay but on the dry side, and the only flaw of the meal. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the gracious and kind service 01162 read more

TL;DR: Good attempt at California cuisine but falls short on the freshness both in dish options and ingredient quality. Still yummy and very friendly service Ordered: Roasted Beet Chop salad: totally got the flavor intent but really wet greens and over-dressed. Cold Smoked Salmon: Liked the crispiness added by the fried noodles NY Strip: Really liked the crispy potatoes and the cook on the steak was great. Brocollini was a little oily but othewise, the entree for sure delivered. Will be back to try other parts of the menu but the seafood selection was lacking that day and even the server told us they preferred the smoked fish over fresh... Cheers, Wildflower! read more

Welcome to the restaurant that brought contemporary dining to Tucson 27 years ago. Today, it still stands in its original location as a local icon of elevated casual dining and remarkable hospitality. The name Wildflower conjures images of gentle sunlight on soft meadows, and somehow, you'll feel that when you're there. Pleasant describes the dining room as much as it does our server, who was not only welcoming but also took time to engage in light conversation. Fluffy bread with dipping oil was a comforting start, followed by tender Braised Short Ribs and herby Pan Roasted Chicken. The taste for both main dishes were on the lighter side, but well-suited for health-focused diners who want New American sans the caveats. Wildflower was an experience that was elegant yet relaxed, upscale yet unpretentious. It is a landmark of nearly three decades, poised to remain a paradigm of quality, trend-forward dining in Tucson for many more. read more

We found ourselves near OV and promptly made a 6pm OpenTable reservation a few days beforehand to revisit this NW gem. Good thing we did as the inside became full by 7p. The large front patio still had half of their dozen tables available but on this windy/muggy August evening we were glad to have reserved indoors. The interior is fine/elegant as Tucson goes and the menu is a scant one page but the quality and variety are enough to appeal to the vast majority of interests - including chicken, beef, fish, vegetarian and at all serving stages (appetizers to entrees). We split the roasted bacon/brussels ($10) which were (thankfully) only lightly tossed with vinegar and sweetener. All heads were on the smaller side (nice); halved; and well-charred... definitely among the better options in Tucson (but still second to Devine Bovine :) For entrees she chose the kobe cheeseburger ($22) and added a side of truffle fries ($8.50). I'm still on a short rib kick and our waitress convinced me to try their ravioli version ($25) versus the braised-with-veggies version. Both of our entrees were outstanding. The grilled onions and mushrooms were terrific with the kobe (but I would have nixed the aioli sauce on this already rich burger). The (homemade) raviolis were plentiful (I think 10) with a decent amount of tender/lean short rib inside each. Here too, the cream sauce was overly abundant but easily pared down with the edge of a fork to really let the fresh pasta and beef sing. Despite a tall/open ambiance the venue is quite loud for purposes of conversation. Staff (ours and the booths to either side of us) were noticeably charming and attentive throughout. Parking is a bit of a challenge in this long-ish strip mall but improves once Chico and J-Crew close for the evening. read more

We initially felt a little bummed that brunch wasn't available, but that disappointment quickly turned into a wonderful lunch experience! The Asian chicken salad was scrumptious, the fresh bread with that incredible pile of Parmesan dip was delicious, and the sin bars are truly sinful -- an absolute must-try dessert worth indulging in! But what really made our experience special was our waiter, Jesus. He could not have been nicer! He was attentive, warm, and genuinely made us feel taken care of, even going out of his way to keep my husband's iced tea filled when we left to go. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and left happy and satisfied. Thank you, Jesus, for making our lunch so enjoyable! After a decade in the area and trying numerous restaurants around town, Wildflower remains one of our favorites. The food quality and service are consistently good, and the ambiance, both inside and outside, is inviting. The lower outdoor patio is especially well done, buffered from street noise with plenty of plants and fans, making it very pleasant most of the year. This was the first Fox Restaurant Concepts location, and it has retained its distinctive flair even after being acquired by The Cheesecake Factory in 2019. read more

This would be my favorite restaurant and come here often if I lived here! I've tried several dishes and my recommendations: Appetizers: tuna on crispy rice, steamed mussels (I can drink the broth left in the plate or soak up with the delicious bread) Entrees: scallops, braised short ribs (large lean pieces that melt in your mouth), lobster artichoke salad Dessert: banoffee trifle, cinnamon doughnuts Others in our party really enjoyed their cocktails too! It was a Saturday evening in North Tucson, and Wildflower was very busy. We got lucky and were seated immediately, but we waited a long time for our order to be taken. Nice atmosphere. Nice yet casual. Welcoming and well-lit. Bread was served with butter and herbed oil. The roasted chicken was good (delicious potatoes) but a little dry. My Asian Chicken Salad was excellent. We wanted a light meal and were ready to skip dessert, but or waiter, Roy, I believe, insisted on having us choose two desserts on the house due to our long wait. Now, that's service! I tried a lemon olive oil cake, which was good, but I highly recommend the Bars of Sin, and they were perfect with their coffee. Wildflower in Tucson has my approval! 4.4 stars.
