We ate at the bar. Expected better quality and authenticity in the Mexican food. Guacamole was dark and looked unappealing. Food presented well but lacked the authentic taste. Bartender was very sweet and helpful. We've been here before a few years back with a group and it was great but now I'll have second thoughts. There are plenty wonderful Mexican restaurants in Tucson.

Surprisely delicious! With a name like gringo I wasn't sure how good it would be. It wasn't like authentic Mexican food but it was yummy yummy for my tummy! I had the tortilla soup and my boyfriend had fajitas. We both ate too much and left happy! The mini chimis were my favorite. We had their guacamole and it was really good too! I only wish they had a hotter salsa beside the bottle stuff. The normal salsa was good but no real kick to it for us. The patio area outside was very beautiful you can see the pool and the desert beyond that. Would definitely return

This restaurant is attached to Las Posadas Lodge and Casitas along Oracle. It has a Hispanic theme ambiance. They have patio dining which has a nice view. Food is great, they have a really small menu, but their serving is huge! It's a family restaurant type with a bar. Although our food came before our appetizers, it was not an issue, because everything tasted good. Our server is really nice and friendly. I would recommend this place and won't mind coming back.

Decent food. Good margaritas. Service was average. It was actually the closest place to our motel.

Unfortunately the mini chimi's were uneatable and the margarita tasted like lemonade and salt.

It was our first time...and how have we gone so long not trying this amazing restaurant?!? The food is spectacular...EVERYTHING was magical. They make a great prickly pear margarita but the muddled strawberry Caipirinha was my favorite. Wow! We enjoyed the steak empanadas and bacon wrapped chorizo stuffed dates for our appetizers. Get those dates! I admit I was skeptical but so glad I tried them! Had never had paella before but the Mar y Tierra was HUGE and just DIVINE! We got 4 portions out of it! The Crème brûlée was a beautiful conclusion to a fantastic experience Highly Recommended...you won't be disappointed. So glad we got out of our box and tried something new. Can't wait to come back!

The food was amazing and the service was top-tier. Our waiter was friendly, funny, and great. We had the best dinner here during our trip to Tucson. First off, the whole menu sounds incredible but you just can't go wrong. We picked the following tapas: LAS FAVORITAS (Dates stuffed with Spanish chorizo, wrapped in smoked pork) PULPO FERIA (Octopus, fingerlings, chili oil, parsley, chimichurri and greens) TOREADOS (Seared shishito peppers, lemon, herbs, chicharrón) ALCACHOFAS (Grilled artichokes, goat cheese, orange zest, and mint) And for the paella: MARISCOS Grilled squid, prawns, mussels, clams, and saffron For dessert, we got the tres leches. The cake was so soft and drenched in delicious cream. I'm really not kidding when I say everything we got was delightful. I can't pick a favorite, get them all! I will say though that the paella was a star of the night and was filled with so much saffron and seafood so don't miss out on it!

We were not offered bar seating as an alternative but others after us were offered and seated right away. As we waited for our table other couples were getting complimentary drinks but none were offered to us even though we were waiting longer. When we got frustrated enough to speak with the hostess seeing that other people were seated for tables that arrived long after us we noted that we should be seated as it was well past our reservation time. They said we can sit at the bar but in fact had a table open. When we pointed that out they said that table was for the first couple to arrive which was in fact us. When we noted that they seemed confused but looked at their sheet of names and had no rhyme or reason to the order they were sitting people. Finally we get seated, food was changed last minute to a pre fixed menu with high price. We paid $260 for food that tasted like it cost $30!! Tables beside us were complaining about the food as well, over cooked and rushed. Plates were taken off our table before we were done with them and service was rushed and unprofessional. We have been trying to go here due to high reviews however I strongly recommend not going. In fact, the steak house next door has much better service and food combined for same price. 10/10 do not recommend if I could give 0 stars I would. Please improve not only your service but the quality of food you present to your customers especially for that high of a price tag!

Friend ordered the chicken breast with the garlicky plantains, I ordered the eggplant with rice, and a side order of fried plantains. As before, the food was delicious. There was a huge amount of eggplant covered in a sauce that was delicious. The rice had chunks of tender sweet potatoes in it. The plantains were hot and sweet. We came on a Saturday noon, and the restaurant was not that busy. We got free pork chicharrones as a complementary appetizer like tortilla chips at Mexican restaurants, which were quite tasty. Food: (2.5/5) Beef Canoa: (3/5) I ordered the beef canoa, which was a plantain with beef (I think it was normal ground beef). The beef was kind of salty with herbs and the plantain was sweet with strong flavorful sauce on the plate. It also had melted cheese on top. It wasn't bad at all, but it was pretty salty and the portions were small for $18 (especially since it's mainly a plantain with ground beef) it also came with one "free" side. Yellow rice with ham side dish: (2/5) This side dish that came with the main course was so salty I couldn't even finish it. The ham didn't really have a flavor, and the dish's overall flavor was just overwhelmed with salt. Of course I expected a dish with ham to be salty, but even after drinking 3 cups of water I couldn't finish it. I'm not sure if Puerto Rican cuisine is supposed to be this salty, but this dish and all the others just tasted like salt. Service: (2.5/5) While we did get offered free chicharrones, we had to keep asking our server for water or more chicharrones. Food wait time was pretty standard. Ambiance: (5/5) The interior was decorated with plenty of decor and car tags. I loved the lighting and overall design of the restaurant. Bathrooms were nice. The whole restaurant had a nice blue vibe. Overall I'm not too sure about the food, portions for pricing, or service but I liked the interior. Honestly I'm not sure if it's authentic Puerto Rican food or not, but it was way, way, too salty for me. (I gained 4 pounds afterwards just from drinking water since it was so salty)

From the moment we arrived until the day we reluctantly left, we never felt like guests. We felt genuinely welcomed. Every interaction reminded us that hospitality isn't just something your staff does. It's who they are. Our dinner at the Grill with Nick was one of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were extraordinary. He seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even knew we needed it, and his recommendations, along with the pairings from the house sommelier, elevated an already incredible meal into an unforgettable evening. The food was exceptional, but sharing it while watching the sun disappear over the horizon made it feel almost magical. It's one of those evenings we'll talk about for years. The next morning, Cal made brunch every bit as memorable. So many resorts save their best effort for dinner and let breakfast become an afterthought. Not here. The quality of the menu, the freshness of the ingredients, and the level of service were every bit as impressive. It was another reminder that excellence isn't reserved for special occasions at your resort. It's simply your standard. Preston continued that experience the following day, and Steve, our host, welcomed us with the kind of kindness that instantly makes you feel at home. Steve is one of those people who genuinely love what they do because they're that good, and they make you feel welcome. There's something special about walking into a room and feeling like people are genuinely happy you're there. That's exactly how your team made us feel. One of our favorite memories came from spending time at the Terraza Garden Lounge with Ethan. By the second visit, he already remembered our favorite drinks and greeted us like old friends. Those small moments may seem insignificant, but they're the moments people remember long after the vacation ends. They create connections that no beautiful building or incredible view ever could. Yes, your resort is stunning. The views are breathtaking, the grounds are immaculate, and every corner feels like a postcard. But if someone asked us what truly sets this place apart, our answer wouldn't be the scenery. It's your people. They create an experience that can't be manufactured or copied. They make visitors feel valued, cared for, and genuinely welcome. That's a rare gift, and it's what will bring us back year after year. I'll admit there was a small part of me that almost didn't want to write this review because I selfishly wanted to keep this little slice of heaven our own secret. But the people who made our stay so special deserve recognition. Thank you for creating memories we'll carry with us long after this trip ends. We'll be back.

But unfortunately the food is below average and amateurish if I'm being honest. The drinks were the best things I had. None of the food wowed me. I had the swordfish special and it was dry and unseasoned. The risotto was okay, cooked well, but flavor was blandish. The au gratin potatoes were burnt and flavorless. The Crimini mushrooms were bland. Overall just poor food and shoddy cooking dressed up to look amazing. I was wholly disappointed and can't understand what people see in the food. Only getting 3 stars since it does nearly everything else well. It's also worth noting that I spent $202 on everything and I could've did better at Red Lobster for about half of that. I get that you're paying for location and experience in part, but having bad food for so much money should be a crime. Avoid this place if you're hungry, or if you actually like good food, but it's worth it for a good drink.

The main problem has been an overly noisy main dining room that makes it difficult to hear conversations at the table. There is always a long list of specials that are read by the server. Never mentioning the price. Last night I ordered a shrimp appetizer that came with 3 grilled shrimp, and an order of halibut. The bill for the 3 shrimp came to $26, and the halibut was $58. Additionally there was a surprise extra charge of 4% added to the total bill that I could not understand even after the server tried to explain it. The food was ok, not anything special and they have markedly reduced the vegetables and salad that usually accompany the entree. Going forward I would suggest that prices be included in the description of the specials and extra charges be posted up front.
