Tortilla soup
Sindy V.

Good service. I had the tortilla soup. Good size. The calabazitas were delicious and cooked on point, they were still crispy and the cheese was so melty.

Lunch special - Chimmies served with chips. I added guacamole for small price. Definitely worth it.

Comfortable yet festive setting. Food is absolutely delicious. Service is with a smile and greeting feels like they're saying "Welcome to our humble home". I love this restaurant and hope to return soon!

The food which will be good here or service. Wasn't that great? There was only a couple of tables here on cico de Moya. So they weren't that busy.

Had a great time here! Came to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with family. We were greeted kindly among entering and sat at the bar. I always love sitting at the bar! It helps you get a good feel of the community and feel of the restaurant. We started with delicious guac and the special ceviche! Both were delicious. I always love their carne seca, so I had two tacos - both were flavorful and juicy! I didn't get anything to drink, but the bartender was busy making margaritas the whole time we were there!

Incredibly huge shredded beef chimi- really, really good

Disclaimer: My review is totally colored by sentimentality. When I first came here years ago I'd just moved to AZ from another state, had my first date here with a guy I worked with - then he became my husband and my life changed for the better. I could probably come here and eat gruel and still be smiling dreamily. The first thing you'll notice about Casa Molina is it's dang cute, with the Saltillo tile floors and the saguaro rib latilla ceilings. I love the Southwestern decor here! The second thing you'll notice is the crazy high menu prices. Yeah, they do seem higher than many other places. I'm going to keep returning because of my ties here, but I'd encourage you to try Casa Molina once and see how you like it. Over the years, I've had some really delicious meals here and some that were just mediocre. The carne asada tacos are a favorite, but sometimes the meat can be a little tough. My husband swears by the chicken soup. Crazy as it sounds to order that, he says it's outstanding. The house salsa has some good spice to it. On my last visit I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga on a whim. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw how ginormous it was! I kid you not, it was almost as long as my forearm! It was cooked perfectly, not greasy or heavy, and the shredded beef was tender and delicious. It was one of the better items I've had. (Though my husband had to help finish it. It's huge!) I will always love Casa Molina - I hope you will too.

Beef fajita, rice, beans, pick de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chips and a beef chimichanga. Superb!

10/10/23 5:00PM Excellent on every level. As we entered, every staff member greeted us Our server was attentive and genuine. I ordered beef fajita, which generously comes with rice, beans, and guacamole. pick de gallo and your choice of flour or corn tortilla. It arrived very quickly, sizzling hot and smelling delicious. My father ordered a beef chimichanga enchilada style. It was so big that we could have shared it. We could have shared either dish, but we like to take home half of what we order. It's like getting the extra food your Nana or tia would give you. And even as we left, everyone said,"Goodbye" and "Thank you for coming." Leave the ordinary behind and have your next Mexican dining experience be at Casa Molina del Norte.

Chicken Flautas with guacamole and sour cream, served with frijoles.

Satisfied and full. Post covid, I am thankful to be able to enjoy a nice dinner out. Restaurant has indoor seating with just enough social distancing to be able to take off your mask. They offer customers hand sanitizer from a dispenser. Surfaces look clean & wiped down. Staff wear masks. Complimentary: Chips & Salsa. Tasty salsa, just enough heat to get your tastebuds awakened. Not too spicy for me. Appetizer: Cheese Crisp with Green Chile. Fresh & hot off the stove. Extra hot & crispy. Green chili is not spicy. Just good flavor. Dinner: Especialidades de la Casa Specialties of the house, Chile Relleno (2) A green chile stuffed with cheese, dipped in an egg batter, deep fried. Served with arroz, frijoles and tortilla. I love chile relleno & do not need a lot of meat. So if you're like me, this is filling. Red sauce is on the side so you can add as much as you want. Flautas (3) Corn tortillas, rolled with beef or chicken, topped with guacamole and sour cream, served with frijoles. My daughter ordered chicken. She said it was filling but not very flavorful. Just tasted like chicken. No sauce. Two Tacos (choice of Ground Beef or Chicken) with Spanish rice and Re-fried beans. My Mom order the chicken. She said the same as my daughter. Not flavorful chicken. No sauce. Just chicken. A bit too plain than what she was expecting. She used my red sauce to add some flavor to her tacos. The waiter was not too swamped. There were 2 other tables alongside us but we still had to wait for our drinks to be refilled. The margaritas were small. The staff were very nice. So for simple, good, filling Mexican food, this is a decent spot.

Carne asada tacos, prickly pear margarita, enchilada and steak

Great service, great atmosphere, and great food, especially for mother's day! They were very busy and yet I felt my server was fairly attentive and there were no mistakes. The chips and salsa are to die for but the carne asada tacos are equally wonderful! I also very much enjoyed the prickly pear margarita; bittersweet but in the best way. Good price in my opinion, both my friend and I had leftovers to take home :)

Gotta get the Sunday buffet, excellent selection of Mexican specialities. A bit noisy atmosphere but acceptable.

Great service, lovely ambience. Food came quickly and was still hot. Had the mole- it was decent, I'd have it again.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

Spacious patio area, with cool lights, umbrellas, and many tables. If you have a choice and it isn't too hot, sit outside. The food is stellar! I got their ranch style flat enchilada, which is more or less a thick masa topped with enchilada flavors and spices. So yummy. (And it's vegetarian too!) The rest of the table (3 more) ordered the green chicken enchiladas. They didn't need to rave about it: their plates were completely clean at the end of the meal! We ordered Tamarindo and Horchata drinks between us, and frankly, the Tamarindo is some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Service can be a little slow, especially if they're busy. But we didn't really mind. It was a nice experience.

Their back patio looks super cute for warmer nights and the food was great. Little bit of a wait but the friendly servers got us sat as soon as possible at 7pm Saturday. Salsa and chips were tasty, the carne asada was excellent. The corn tortillas are thick and perfectly charred. The green enchiladas were good too. The sauce was thicker than usual, but that's probably the Native fusion instead of being just Mexican enchiladas. So glad we stopped in, we ate every bite. Forgot to take a picture until I was half through!

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.
