    14. Chilaquiles with Egg

Door dashed to the airport La Quinta. Super fast!! The food delicious!! Chilaquiles with OM eggs and beans took me straight to Mexico. The red sauce is excellent. Will definitely order here again!

Good food. Service was good but slow as they were slammed when we came in and that we were a group of 8. Had the combo platter which had all the key favorites. Nice little place that has plenty of seating despite how it looks outside. Interesting that their chips come out with two sauces. Traditional salsa and a sour cream dip.

In my search of the best bean burrito on the southside I have made it to Little Mexico. First off let me just say that I was not impressed by the price. Roff the bat, they said that the burrito was $9.51 after tax. Holy cow!!!! That's just bean with cheese and tortilla right?! Now, I had to try it. I thought their beans were the best I've tried so far (sorry los jarritos, Jaliscos, los betos, etc.). They are the most expensive so far with los Betos being the cheapest but I have to admit you get what you pay for. If you are in the mood for some vegetarian alternative at a Mexican food restaurant. I highly suggest getting their bean and cheese burrito because it comes with chips salsa It's a lil pricey. The best bean and cheese burrito so far that I've tried on the South side. Stay tuned though I'm not stopping.

This was a recommendation from the hotel staff where I am staying. This place is amazing! The very friendly wait staff starts you off with fresh chips and salsa when you take your seat. Generous margaritas are brought shortly there after. In my combo, dish there was a tamale cheese enchilada, beef taco, a stuffed chili, beans and rice. Everything was delicious. They had two areas one where we were sitting had multiple locals enjoying meals and the other area had a large party that was also enjoying. So apparently, whatever you are into small get together or a large party. This place is the place to go.

    Flat enchilada dinner

We stopped in at their restaurant on Irvington, even though the area is a bit beaten down, the welcome and vibe inside was fantastic! We were greeted with big "hellos" and seated in minutes, then quickly presented with hot fresh chips n salsa. Our cousin recommended the flat enchilada dinner and we were not disappointed! We did start with their green chili tortilla crisp appetizer, really good. One family member ordered their enchilada with asada and he was just as pleased with his meal. Our server (apologize for not remembering his name) was very friendly, happy and kept our chip basket filled and our soft drink glasses full. If we come back thru Tucson, we will come here for more tasty Mexican food!

This restaurant is a little gem that we had never visited and landed at for breakfast when we were unable to locate another restaurant. So glad! Staff was very friendly and service was great. It looks small from the outside but is actually pretty big when you walk in. If felt pretty clean, and appears to be a neighborhood favorite. I had the Chilaquiles, the hubs had the Huevos Rancheros. Both were really good. I would say, in my search for the best Chilaquiles in the world - there's are solid. They bring you chips/salsa to start. The chips were okay, they did not scream homemade but we are generally not too picky about that sort of stuff.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

Spacious patio area, with cool lights, umbrellas, and many tables. If you have a choice and it isn't too hot, sit outside. The food is stellar! I got their ranch style flat enchilada, which is more or less a thick masa topped with enchilada flavors and spices. So yummy. (And it's vegetarian too!) The rest of the table (3 more) ordered the green chicken enchiladas. They didn't need to rave about it: their plates were completely clean at the end of the meal! We ordered Tamarindo and Horchata drinks between us, and frankly, the Tamarindo is some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Service can be a little slow, especially if they're busy. But we didn't really mind. It was a nice experience.

Their back patio looks super cute for warmer nights and the food was great. Little bit of a wait but the friendly servers got us sat as soon as possible at 7pm Saturday. Salsa and chips were tasty, the carne asada was excellent. The corn tortillas are thick and perfectly charred. The green enchiladas were good too. The sauce was thicker than usual, but that's probably the Native fusion instead of being just Mexican enchiladas. So glad we stopped in, we ate every bite. Forgot to take a picture until I was half through!

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.
