The menu offers a wide variety of options, which is nice, but the food itself was just okay. The food is good but the waitresses need done work. Very slow and inattentive. We had a child with an egg allergy we asked her about the kids menu. She went to the kitchen and came back and said the popcorn chicken was the only thing on the menu that didn't have egg. There's no way a quesadilla has eggs. This is the second time I have eaten here, and the good news is things are much better than the first time I stopped in shortly after they opened. It was my friends Birthday in a few days, and she had never been here and wanted to try it. We stopped in about 3pm, and we sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and very nice. There was one cook we saw ......and the bartender, and it seemed they may have been dating, as they were really.... friendly. Seemed like the regulars all knew that. Cool for them but awkward for others. We ordered the seared Ahi appetizer and Shrimp Tacos. The Ahi was clearly frozen (I get that) but not properly thawed or cooked. The texture was off on the Ahi for sure. The shrimp tacos were better, but honestly I question worth the price... for two tacos and beans. TV's are ample . We waited awhile (15 min) before we even got a drink. One guy working 5 tables and 1 bartender. In my mind, the bartender could have at least served us drinks instead of standing around. Their Cubano is one of the best. All the flavors compliment each other. The taste of char on my burger was a wonderful surprise. Calamari perfectly cooked and seasoned. Do not order if you can't handle spicy. It comes with Fried Jalepeno and caribe peppers. Wish the chips were warm but the salsa made up for it. Soo good. The Landing continues to get better and better, and this visit was highlighted by 10-star service from Maddy. Maddy is always pleasant with a warm & genuine smile and, oh so friendly. We could just come in for a dose of her sunshine and cheerfulness alone. When we were trying to decide between sweet potato fries or standard, Maddy said, no worries, I can give you a half of each! Who does that? But the Sayulita and La Paz Tacos are phenomenal too. The Sayulita is my fave with blackened cod and pineapple pico. My bride loves the fried cod La Paz Taco (normally $6.50 and only $4 on happy hour). Choose either flour or corn with a side of Charro Beans. 5:30 arrival on a Wednesday night, parking lot was packed, but the place was maybe 1/2 full. Seated immediately. Our server was charming and did a great job. We ordered beers off their extensive brew menu, and they arrived promptly. Decent menu, mostly Baja flavors. Three of us opted for salads, one had tacos. The 2 tacos had a great flavor, but looked small on the big plate. I had the Picada salad (pictured below) with shrimp. Respectable number of shrimp, lettuce was nicely dressed. The dressing was blended with the salad giving it a homogeneous flavor. My wife had the Med salad (pictured), which she said was excellent, and too big to finish. I tried one of the pita chips, nice and crunchy. Dave had the Cobb salad as recommended by our server, and it looked great - healthy portion of nicely grilled chicken. Nice ambiance. Yes I will definitely recommend this place! I like the vibe, the food and most specially the service. Our first time trying this place, my husband and I are looking for something light for dinner, then we came across this place on Yelp and they got good reviews. And it did not disappoint! We left the place satisfied. Our server forgot to place our appetizer order and our sandwiches came first, my husband reminded her about it, and she was so apologetic about it. It was actually not a big deal for us. Then the manager brought it to us, and he said it was on the house. We didn't expect it! Cause it did not bother us, at all! We were there to enjoy our time, and relax while having dinner. We asked our server if she's going to get in trouble for it, cause we don't mind paying for it. But she insisted that we don't! They have an enclosed outside area with picnic tables to watch sports. The food was not that great, when I go to a restaurant I want good food. This is more like bar food. The happy hour specials were fabulous so I ordered 3 tacos: fried fish, poke, and grilled shrimp. Did not disappoint. Way over priced. The nachos were a sloppy soupy mess. The burger had no taste and had to pay cheeseburger price for a cheese less burger because they had no basic burger option. I paid with gift cards and cash and was charged the credit card up charge price. My husband and I went on a very busy Saturday night as we wanted to hear a local musician that was going to play that night. We drove around for a bit, as there was limited parking available near the restaurant due to construction in the parking lot. I ordered the Chubasco BBQ burger with fries and my husband had the carne asada bowl. We both enjoyed and found the food to be delicious and a good size portion. I also ordered the Tiki Tiki drink, which had a different after flavor than what I expected, which could have been the passionfruit, but it wasn't a drink I would order again. While the restaurant was very full and busy, Maddy our server frequently checked in on us to ensure we had whatever we needed and even offered to walk us over to the nearby Tiki bar, (as I mentioned I wanted to go) to ensure we didn't get lost. This places serves typical bar food but has a cool menu - from Nacos, to burgers, to fish. Came on a Friday and it was hopping. Sat on the nice Patio with the dog which the staff was super cool about. Place is definitely dog friendly. We had a burger, nachos, tacos and pretzel. Food was solid - tacos not the best - nachos and pretzel were more stand outs. The staff was super nice and you could tell the scene had lots of regulars.
