And that's really all I got, but as simple as it might seem horchata really can be hit or miss and this was absolutely a HIT! This. Place. Is. The. Best. The Quesabirria is some of the freshest I have ever had and the consome was absolutely perfectly seasoned. Truth be told, I drank whatever consome I had left, because it was that good. It also came with some very fresh cucumbers which was an excellent pairing that helped break up the heaviness of this type of meal. A great place to stop right off the freeway making your way into town. It's about 15 minutes north of downtown Tucson. Located in a food truck under what looks to be the cover of an old gas station. Taco Rico has some of the best tacos in Tucson. I tried an asada taco and an asada burrito and they were delicious. The prices weren't bad and the meat was really flavorful. I especially like that the tacos were topped with just cilantro and onion. The food truck is located on Ina Road right off I-10. It used to be in the Fascinations parking lot but has since moved across the street. The staff was friendly, and there are a few tables available if you want to eat there. After seeing all the great reviews, I was excited to stop by after a hike for some tacos. I don't get the hype because this place was average at best. I got 4 tacos, 2 al pastor and 2 carne asada. I enjoyed the pastor more but found both meats to be a bit bland. Service is super quick and friendly, wish they had a salsa bar but there was only some type of chili oil. Delicious tacos 10/10. The carne asada tacos are amazing. Service is fast, prices are very reasonable, and there are plenty of options to choose from, including birria. They also offer drinks and decent seating. It's a food truck, but there are plenty of chairs available in the shade, or you can always order to go. The tacos stay very warm when taken to go. The meats they serve up there are some of the best I've ever had--and I've eaten tacos all over the southwest for over 50 years. The asada and pastor could very well be the best I've ever had. Giant delicious burritos with great flavors. Carne was good, suadero was great. Throw in a couple of delicious horchata and you get a great meal. If you go at night, it feels a little dark with nothing by the light escaping the food truck, but worth it! read more

My boyfriend and I were passing through Tucson, Arizona on January 16th. I looked for a food spot online, saw that Taco Rico had great reviews, so I told him to pull over for us to get some food here. At first he didn't want to stop, and wanted to eat indoors, but after he saw the menu he wanted to order the cabeza. When he actually tried it, he said it was the best cabeza burrito he ever had. I had a mix of carne asada and brisket...wow, just wow; the flavor and tenderness was out of this world. I add chile verde sauce with almost everything, but it took away from the flavor of the burrito, so I just couldn't continue adding the chile verde to it, that's how good it was. Shane adds hot sauce to almost everything, but he felt the exact same way. Amazing food, a must try (or continue going everyday) if you're in the area. read more

For a little taco trailer located in a unusual place, there were some amazingly delicious tacos! Very friendly and helpful staff. They even have a little table set up if you want to eat them there. One of the best (if not THE best) taco carts you'll find. Not only is the food insanely good, but the staff is always so friendly and kind too. My husband loves their burritos, I enjoy all the different tacos, and my somewhat picky 4 year old can always find something on the menu that he'll eat. If you plan to eat here, I'd suggest getting it to go because they have a tent set up in front of the food truck with a few tables to eat at, but the flies won't stop harassing you, and being out in the heat isn't the most comfortable. I ordered an Al pastor burrito, and it came with a somewhat odd assortment of chopped veggies/toppings. They gave two salsas that unfortunately were too mild and didn't have much of a taste. The burrito itself was ok. The meat was nice, but maybe not seasoned as much as I would have liked. I think I've had better Al pastor at other places, but I'm glad I tried it! read more

Great NW side taco truck! I have been a few times now. All their standard tacos are great, but my favorite is the Birria! Birria is only available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so plan accordingly. It's a little rough sitting outside in the heat around 5pm when the shade canopy offers no protection and the ands are all over the grounds. Asada tacos( cilantro, onions and salsa) with lime and to the side: grilled onions, grilled Serrano pepper and radish. Well seasoned and good amount for a taco including 2 tortillas per taco. The tortillas were delicious! They have a limited menu but still good choices with burros,tacos, quesadillas, and weekends have those with Birria. Hidden gem in Tucson. I hate to give Taco Rico such a positive review because then everybody will visit and I'll have to wait on some of the best food in Tucson. Taco Rico is packed into a 6x12 mobile food palace but don't let the size fool you, these guys pack a huge punch in flavor and quality. They need a brick and mortar it's that good, let's make it happen. The prices are great and the people are the best. There's no reason to not stop by unless you're allergic to great food. Do not underestimate this truck and definitely stop by when you see it. While on a work trip stopped by here for a late lunch and it was empty. The staff was so nice and service was pretty quick. We even got a free Taco, the tripas, that we wouldn't have picked in the first place but it was very good, the right amount of crunchy and chewy. read more

Finding an authentic taco spot up north is a little harder to do but Taco Rico did not disappoint! We ordered two chicken tacos, two tacos al pastor, one chicken taco, one cheese quesadilla, and one chicken burrito for a total of about 33 bucks. My favorite personally was the carne asada tacos, they were delicious! The cheese quesadilla was nothing too special and was just another ordinary quesadilla. The al pastor was decent and the chicken burrito was decent as well. I feel like I would have enjoyed the burrito a little more with carne asada instead of chicken! The customer service was excellent and they're always super friendly! It is a taco truck but they do have a little table with some provided shade if you wanted to eat there.
