LA CHINGADA COMBO PLATE
Victoria C.

A friend was in town visiting and we were looking for a new place to try. Soooo happy we came to this lovely establishment. Great service, and a laid back vibe and the amazing meal made this a great choice. I can't wait to come back. The combo is a great way to try several items. I had the beef tamale, chicken enchilada with mole sauce, and the BEST birria taco I've ever had!! My friend had the chicken chimi in mole. She raved about how flavorful the mole was. The chips and salsa were tasty. The green had a bright tangy taste and the red had a lil heat. We both had the Strawberry Horchata and omg that hit the spot. I slurped mine down in a haze of happiness.

The quesabirria pizza was delicious!!! I loved it. The consome was great too. I'm usually picky with my birria especially since I'm used to LA food but this smacked. The CHILAQUILES DIVORCIADOS was okay. They didn't taste but definitely not the best or worst I've had. The sauce is definitely more on the dryer and thicker side compared to what I'm usually used to which is the salsa being a little more watery in the sense of not a paste but actual salsa. My friend had the combo plate and said it was good. The vibe was great and the restroom was clean with cool signage and soap dispenser lol. The staff were nice and helpful which made the experience much better.

Popped in here last night, Wednesday, for tacos and margaritas. The sign outside advertised that they have live music on Wednesdays, but they did not last night. They did have music playing and we got our tacos and margaritas. We started with the mini Chimi chicken Tinga appetizer. And then I did the three taco plate with Birria and chicken Tinga. Server was pleasant. Food was hot and fresh.

I had a great experience at La Chingada! My family visited for my dad's birthday. The ambiance and service were amazing! For my drink, I ordered the horchata which I LOVED. We ordered the birria mini chimis and queso fundido for appetizers. I really recommend the mini chimis! Additionally, the complimentary chips and salsa were amazing. The chips seemed to be made in house! I ordered the lorenza de rib-eye, which was so tasty and flavorful. The staff made sure to make my dad's birthday special. They came out with bells, a sombrero, and complimentary flan for my dad's birthday! This spot is a Tucson gem!

This was the best place we ate in Tucson. Everyone talks about El Charro but this was better. Was empty on a a Tuesday lunch, food came out super fast. We enjoyed every bite

La Chingada is one of those downtown Tucson spots that immediately sets the tone. Bold name, bold energy, and a lively atmosphere that feels fun without being overdone. They offer live music, which adds to the experience, and I was happy to find solid vegan options on the menu. The chickpea avocado taco (ordered minus the cheese) was so good--flavorful, filling, and thoughtfully put together. Service was friendly, the space was buzzing, and it's an easy place to hang out and enjoy the vibe. A great downtown stop that delivers on atmosphere and inclusive menu options.

What a great find in downtown Tucson! After trying to go to two other places that were closed on a Wednesday we accidentally found Lachingada and it was superb! The shrimp street tacos were so good. Loved the cole slaw topping. We also had the Chicken tinga filled Chimichanga and it was also delicious! Loved the red sauce and the chicken was so tender! Great authentic Mexican food and so fresh! Highly recommended!

Great vibe, friendly staff, and cool decor. Food was absolutely delicious, I was savoring every bite! The omelette was delicious and the salad was refreshing and everything tasted fresh. A great brunch spot, and has me wanting to come back to check out their dinner menu!

We came here to get some good Mexican food with some NY out of towners, had not been to this restaurant so we rolled the dice. We did have a solid meal with very attentive service. Everyone enjoyed their food, I will say the chips/salsa and guacamole we ordered were on point. We had wanted to do the table side Guac, but apparently the person that does it was not there which is unfortunate. I am a Chilaquiles expert (self proclaimed of course) and will say that they are flavorful here particularly for a green sauce BUT they were very salty (sauce) and I was disappointed that they do what I call the 'short cut' version of the corn tortillas. Short cut version is where restaurants use chips vs. preparing the corn tortillas by lightly frying or baking so they are a nice combo of soft/cooked. The Tres Leches Cake was 5 star level!

This is the type of spot that you really want to love. Cute and funky decorations and great location downtown. But the wait times are steep - we waited 50 minutes for our meal. With no table chips and salsa, that feels even longer than it sounds. The food was above average when it did arrive, and the presentation was thoughtful. Compared to the fantastic other options for tacos nearby, this place may be a bit more style over substance.

Pretty good spot in Tucson. There are lots of seating for groups big or small, they have pretty nice service & the food portions were decent. We ordered the beef fajitas which was great, but I was just a bit saddened by only 3 corn tortillas, so we ordered more and chips! (So one star down) Everything was delish and we were happy with the meal. We had a horchata drink it was cute and flavor light! It was good with real cinnamon in it! They seem to have a large bar and diverse drink menu so that would be worth checking out next time.

Was told we had to check this place out while in Tuscan and I'm glad we did. We arrived around noon and sat at the bar. We were approached right away and our bartender was very nice. Even though it was calm during the day, the bartender was telling us how at night it does get packed and sometimes they'll have a mariachi band. Everything tasted good, especially our drinks. We will definitely have to come back during the night life.

Visiting Tucson for a conference and found La Chingada from Yelp! Uses Google Maps to get here via bus & walking. I ordered the coffee & brunch style Sonoran Sopes, over medium egg on top of green salsa and beans on a lightly fried sope. It came with red salsa and refried beans. The refried beans surprised me because they were so smooth, simple, and delicious. The different textures went well with each other which made eating the sope even more enjoyable. My server, Natalie, was very friendly and checked up on me without being intrusive. I asked her what places I should check out while here. She recommended the 4th St district & reminded me to stay hydrated since it is so hot. La Chingada also has a full bar with patio seating. A great place to gather with friends. I love the bright decor & happy vibe. Would love to come back rhe next time I am in Tucson

Maybe not even just…read moreTucson--this is the best of the best you can find through the entirety of Southern Arizona! These drinks are innovative, thoughtful, and aesthetically pleasing in a way that leaves you excited for more and expands one's idea of a well-made libation. Inspired by a medley of global flavors, Juniper started off as a side project from a local brewery and unexpectedly exploded into a swanky hangout with zero seats left open on weekend nights. Yes, virtually everything on the menu is gin-based. But that shouldn't scare you away! Gin is essentially a neutral spirit infused with botanicals and/or citrus, so if you had a bad experience with one brand, there will be another out there you'll fall in love with. Elliott, the General Manager of the bar, elevates the passionate curation of his menu to perfection. Here are some examples of what you might fall in love with: Balzy Maracuya: A 'maracuya' is a passion fruit beverage originating from South America. In this drink, fruity flavors are enhanced with popping boba filled with balsamic vinegar. Botanist: Upscale gin and tonic with thyme, rosemary, and star anise. Cronus Punch: Rum punch lovers will be blown away by the rare sighting of clarified gin On special ocassions, you'll find limited edition items like gin sorbet affogatos and horchata martinis. At the turn of each new year, there's a menu rotation that may sadly remove some of my faves. But here, at Juniper I can guarantee two things: Something uniquely enjoyable, and a gracious staff that will be happy to explain the intricacies of lesser-known spirits on the shelf. In 2026, I predict it will remain one of Tucson's hottest cocktail hangouts.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. You could always book a room and enjoy dreams downstairs without having to drive
