We've eaten at Yard House in Vernon Hills, IL and loved it, do we decided to try our local Yard House. We went on a Monday for Happy Hour and even though it was a Monday, we were surprised there weren't more people. The atmosphere is nice and clean. We were seated at a booth quickly and our waitress was outstanding, except for the fact we had a coupon for a free app and she supposedly punched it in but we later realized, after paying and on our way home, that we were charged for everything. We had some delicious, refreshing hard cider. We both drank pineapple cider and I then ordered the blueberry. The pineapple was definitely better but both were tasty and a nice change from apple. We ordered the poke nachos, sliders and a truffle pizza. The poke nachos were very good but needed to be sauced a bit more. The ones we ate in Vernon Hills were definitely better. The sliders and fries were delicious. The pizza was meh, so I probably wouldn't order that again. We will definitely return, at least for Happy Hour, because I want to try more apps and use our coupon, hopefully successfully thus time. read more

Really wanted to try this restaurant. Had heard Good things and always like a new restaurant. Party of two around 4:40 pm, they had two groups waiting to be seated ahead of us but there was zero people on the patio on a cloudy 95 degree day. We asked if the patio was available and we were quickly seated outside. After being seated we proceeded to wait, wait, wait; in the heat without any service. It's warm and it would have been nice if they would have brought us water at least, if they were that busy they shouldn't have seated anyone outside. We finally got tired of sitting in the heat without anyone coming out. It started to sprinkle and our patience ran out. We left our menus and our silverware on the table and went inside the mall to cool off and get something to drink. When we came back out to leave they were packed outside with people--food--and drinks! So, they forgot about us. Can't comment on the food, but the service was horrible to say the least. They obviously don't pay attention to their customers. We will not be going back. read more

I can't decide how I feel about Yard House. On the one hand, these happy hour deals are amazing. Half off the typically $17 poke nachos? Yes please. But the quality definitely left something to be desired. The poke nachos were more wonton than poke, the crispy Brussels sprout were not crispy at all, and the pizza was basically just crust with a little bit of cheese and sauce. I was not impressed, it felt like the happy hour deals were just less food for less money. I think if you go to Yard House for happy hour expecting it more to be a place where you're mostly drinking and there happens to be bar food there, you will be less disappointed. The only thing we ordered that I would definitely order again at happy hour were the sliders. To drink, I got the Passion fruit sour and this was yummy. 3 stars for the stellar beer selection and the excellent service, despite it being a crowded Friday night. read more

This review is like my other ones. My favorite dish is the Lobster Garlic Noodles... I add a house salad and have an iced tea. Prices keep rising and with tip, well over $50. No alcohol. The noodle dish is so yummy, lots of lobster, shrimp, mushrooms, spinach and noodles. I did take some home. The salad was very fresh as well. The portions are shrinking and the prices are rising. The dining area is dark and usually chilly. The area is always cleaned up. Saylor was my server and was very pleasant & attentive. Went for a quick lunch with another person. There is a kiosk on the table that you can use but the waitress came by quickly. We each ordered the cheesesteak with fries. It took a little while but no big deal. While the meat was tender, everything including the fires were over-salted. I have to admit being from Philly so have tried a number of cheesesteaks I wouldn't order that again. Or French fries. The menu has a variety of items. Service was excellent. This was our first visit to Yard House and we were pleasantly surprised to find a new favorite nearby spot. (I'll explain why I docked a star at the end). We were quickly seated in a spacious booth for our family of 6. Our drinks were slow to get to the table, but our food was rather quick to get to us, which I appreciate while eating out with children! Everyone enjoyed their meal! We had no complaints about the food, whatsoever. My only complaint was incorrect drink orders. My husband ordered a specific darker beer but was handed an IPA, very notably NOT what he ordered. He is not one to complain so he drank it, but definitely annoyed by the mix up. My beer was very flat, but again, not one to complain unless it was undrinkable. We visited this past Friday with my family. I added our name to the waitlist through the app, and even though it was quite busy, we were seated right away. We started with the Poke Nachos, which were as always absolutely delicious. I ordered the Szechuan Crispy Beef Noodles, and they were amazing. My daughters ordered the boneless wings, jambalaya, and the tuna stack, and everything was delicious. My husband ordered the grilled pork chop. A manager came to our table to let us know that his pork chop had been burned in the kitchen and offered him a complimentary salad while we waited. She was very kind and apologetic. When his entrée arrived, he said it was one of the best things he has ever eaten in Tucson. Our server, Madison, was a delight, courteous, professional, and attentive. Yard House is a longtime favorite of mine, and this location in Tucson is no different! For starters (pun intended), this Yard House has a great space both inside and outside - easy parking at the Park Place Mall, and plenty of big, comfy, spacious booths in the dining area. The prices on an extensive list of draft beers here are very reasonable - and even cheaper for the Happy Hour every day of the week from 3-6pm and after 9pm at night. I love getting the House Hazy IPA, but the cocktails shouldn't be slept on either - I tried the Lavender Martini on my latest visit and found it to be subtly sweet, delicious, and easier to go down than a traditional Martini..while still being very strong! I also love how most appetizers and pizzas are 1/2 off for the Happy Hour - some of my favorites include the Chicken (they also offer vegan chicken) Nachos, Wisconsin Cheese Curds, and the Calamari (although the quality and size of the calamari can sometimes be hit & miss). Aside from the Happy Hour items, I also LOVE the burgers and tacos on the main menu here. On my latest visit, I noticed they had some new options for the tacos - I got one each of the Birria, Beer-Battered Baja Fish, and Vampire Carnitas Tacos. Each of them were very well-prepared very tasty. The fish taco had big slaps of fish that were juicy and delectable. The birria came with a side cup of consume to dip it in and was very solid for that type of taco! The vampire carnitas had one of those cheese crusted tortillas for the 'vampiro' style and had very tender, flavorful meat within! Service here is also very friendly and accommodating every time I visit - there's never been any issues that I've encountered. If you do need something resolved, they're always more than helpful. Whether its for lunch, happy hour, dinner, or just some drinks and hanging out...Yard House is one of the best spots for doing it. Sub par experience yesterday for lunch that can mostly be attributed to service. Party of 2 seated on the patio. Several tables were filled but it wasn't packed. We each ordered mocktail - her, a Scorched Melon and me, a Pina Spritz. Mine was delicious but A's only tasted spicy. You could not detect any Melon flavor at all. A had the Ahi Tuna Crunchy salad and she said it was as good as always as it's her favorite menu item. I had the Kale & Romaine Caesar with grilled chicken. The salad was delicious...golden raisins, pistachios and slightly salty chicken all worked well together however the roasted brussels sprouts were so raw that I couldn't even cut through them. The idea was great and I love roasted brussels but these were inedible. Took a long time to get our drinks and salads but once the food was served, our server NEVER came back to check on us. She did take the orders of new guests seated outside but totally ignored us even when it was obvious we were done and waiting for our check. After being ignored after finishing lunch for a good 20 minutes we went inside to the hostess station to see about paying but the hostess was unsure how to handle it. We were told to go back to the patio and wait at our table and she would tell our server. 10 minutes of doing that while we watched our server go to other tables was enough so we went back inside and asked for a manager. He came and identified our server as Ashley and went to tell her we wanted to pay. No apology, no care, no nothing. Ashley finally came up front and asked "Oh, you wanted to pay? Can I have your card?" We told her we never got our check so she retrieved it and took our payment. We were obviously unhappy but no one bothered to offer an apology or explanation. I haven't had service this bad in quite a while at any establishment. Yard House is usually one of our favorites. We went Sunday 9/6/26 with friends, and were seated right away. Our friends loved their burger and tacos, but my husband and I got the Chicken Tenders appetizers, and they were undercooked. When your food isn't made right, you tell the server and they remake it or get you something else. Well, our server never came back and checked on the food until everyone else was done. My husband ate his anyway, but I couldn't. The tenders were pale, lukewarm and not crispy as we expected. We've ordered these many, many times. Mine were also the runts of the pack. When the server finally showed up again, everyone else was done and asked for boxes for leftovers. I told her mine were underdone, and she didn't offer to get a manager or anything. I told her I would take them home and put them in the oven. My potatoes were also cold, so I left hungry. Service was fine until she dropped the ball, and she could have gotten a bigger tip if she had checked on us. As a former server, I know how important it is to check after the meals are delivered. Just got home from a dinner for my girlfriend's nephew who is heading to training as a Marine. Unfortunately now my girlfriend is puking and hope her nephew isn't spending his last night home puking. I got the lobster noodles and she got the beer battered fish. The lobster was rubbery and the noodles were flavorless. The fish caused food poisoning.They rarely checked on us and got multiple things wrong. Love this place! The best happy hour deals and many different dietary options - which you can conveniently sort through on the table tablet. Some of my favorites are the gochujang Brussels sprout appetizer, half size gardein bbq chicken salad (I once ate this 3 days in a row at a yard house in Texas while traveling, never got sick of it), and the veggie burger. The gardein orange chickn is ok, big portion but not my first choice of entree. I tried the gardein "chicken wings" for the first time since it was happy hour and loved them too. I asked for all the sauces on the side to try, I think usually it comes with just one sauce all over. We really liked the bbq and lemon pepper sauce. The whiskey sauce was sweet which was good but it did have too much of a whiskey aftertaste for my liking. The side celery was fresh and crunchy. We were there during happy hour so it was only eight dollars, but I wouldn't order them for full price. I had such a wonderful visit on 2/27/26! I just drove 7 hours in from California and was so hungry and ready to just sit down and relax, the staff did a wonderful job of taking care of me. I have been to Yard House a couple of times and the food is always good. This time I tried the Everything Crusted Ahi Tuna Sandwich and upgraded to the truffle fries. The food was delicious, but the price is a little high for the portion size. I also had the Jenn's Blackberry Rickey which was a great gin cocktail. For dessert I was finally able to try my first Espresso Martini which I enjoyed. The service was perfect and made sure to check on us the right amount. My daughter and I stopped by Yard House yesterday for lunch after some doctor's appointments, feeling tired and hungry. From the moment we sat down, our hostess was kind, and our server (Nadina, I believe?) was absolutely wonderful! Her warm smile and calm energy instantly lifted my mood. She was attentive, made great recommendations, and the food came out fast and fresh. I didn't even notice my burger ( Whiskey & Aged Cheddar, delicious!) wasn't prepared correctly because we were enjoying ourselves so much--but she did!
