    Garlic Parmesan Fries
    David H.

Located in the main building of the Four Points, my brother and I visited for "Happy Hour" which is from 3 pm - 6 pm. Our drinks were half price and there were some appetizer specials as well. For us, we just shared the garlic parmesan fries which were excellent. They really hit the spot. My Dragoon IPA was also half price at $4.00. We sat at the bar which was pretty empty at the time. Our waiter did a great job getting us beer refills. I can't attest to their main menu as far as quality of food, but the variety looked pretty good and the prices were reasonable for an airport hotel bar.

    Chicken Quesadillas, amazing!

Great staff and even better food. Char works incredibly hard and deserves credit -- not criticism. Anyone handling long hours and difficult customers would understand. Everything I've tried, from the strip steak to the burgers and salads, has been consistently delicious. Always a great experience.

5 STARS! I always genuinely feel restaurants that are near airports, their food never misses!!! got a steak quesadilla during happy hour, a margarita! & talk about a good sized margarita i was like whooooa nice glass! the bartender also gave some complimentary pretzels as a snack so that's a plus, football on all the TVs (i do not watch sports) but i'm sure it's nice for the ones that do. the steak quesadilla was really good, the steak had a nice seasoning to it.

The food was mediocre at best and the same for the service. At least the atmosphere was good.

La Perla Del Pacifico - Machaca Plate

We were seated and brought menus right away, for both cocktails and food. We decided to celebrate with margaritas: mango and strawberry. Both were delicious. Our server, a sweet and beautiful young lady, was so helpful, explaining things we weren't familiar with and offering suggestions. We decided to start with the shrimp and cheese-stuffed yellow peppers wrapped in bacon. They were so good! Although taking our time perusing the menu, I had already decided I wanted the whole red snapper with crispy skin. The owner came over to introduce himself and welcome us. We talked a bit and he said they had been open just a year and were still adding to the menu. For example they were going to make a quesadilla similar to the appetizer we had just enjoyed so much. He also brought the bad news that they were out of the whole fish and the next shipment was coming tomorrow. He said the fish filets were available and very good. He also suggested a combination platter of several things to try and that's what we went with. Before that came, a single Gobernador-style taco showed up: shrimp with cheese, onion, and bell pepper. Not sure how we ordered it, lol, but it was flavorful and delicious. We went with the mixed grill for two: grilled steak, shrimp, stuffed peppers, and marlin tacos, (minus the octopus - we just haven't reached the octopus level of sophistication... yet) with beans, rice, and flour tortillas. The beans were especially creamy and yummy. Everything was full of flavor and each item tasted different. The steak was well-seasoned but a bit chewy. We loved all of it, but the marlin tacos were our overwhelming favorite. The chef obviously believes in a little heat rather than spicy overload, so even those with a delicate palate should enjoy everything. So much delicious food but we couldn't manage any more, and packed up remaining steak, shrimp,, tacos, beans, rice, and tortillas.Looks like dinner for tomorrow. Even though we said we couldn't squeeze in dessert, our server brought a piece of tres leche cake for the birthday girl, boxed and ready to go. We couldn't resist a taste, so two tiny bites are missing. So creamy and decadent. The birthday girl took the rest home. La Perla's decor is light and inviting, with beachy colors and fish painted on the walls. The fish wallpaper in the ladies room is adorable. Bathrooms were immaculate, just like the rest of the restaurant. We are definitely going back soon.

The place is your typical sports bar, well designed with lots of TV's for sports viewing. The beer selection was a bit disappointing, but the beers were cold and reasonably priced. I didn't have any food as I just had lunch with a friend over at Olive Garden. Yes the girls wear skimpy outfits which is the gimmick, and it's not a bad one, LOL. The bartender was quite friendly and service was efficient. Not to mention she was easy on the eyes. Overall my experience here was fine, the music wasn't overly loud, and Olympic coverage was on most of the TV's. Again not sure about at night, but during the day this place was just fine.

Complained about my drink and was offered a Coke. I think she said they were out of lemonade. Waited so long for my food I had to ask twice what was taking so long. Finally brought my chicken wings without the fries. Thought, well maybe they will bring them soon. They never arrived, but the check did when I asked for it. Looked at the check and it included fries. Told the waitress I wasn't happy and asked her to review my check. After a few times she said oh the fries. I said, yes I didn't get them. She said I'll get a new bill. Came back with new bill less ff. Gave her my credit card, she rang it up, came back laid it on the table, said nothing and left .

This Irish Pub answers the question if being an Irish pub excuses it from making quesadillas with…read moreAmerican cheese in southern Arizona. That answer is No. Finnegan's is located in a hotel at the entrance to Tucson's Airport and likely the first place a tourist or weary traveler might get to experience the cullinary delights of the region in a setting designed to evoke a Spanish villa with open plazas, foutains, and other southwestern design choices. But no. It's a pub with no real Irish, Spanish or other character. It's a cafeteria with a bar and a small menu of simple items that are priced as only a hotel pub can get away with. Because Lady Matilda and I had business at the hotel that prevented us from enjoying the many culinary destinations in Tucson, we split two appetizers. The quesadillas. The potato skins. There were "Irish Nachos" which tries to split the difference in its conflicted identity but I couldn't see where the extra $5 went to go from "skins" to "nachos" on the menu. Another diner made an excellent point that Finnegan's made the dish the way an Irish chef might. We were there on a Friday night during a convention of relic traders and scheduled for various conferences along with a hundred others, so we were all leaning on Finnegan's for our dinner before the night's invocation and celebrations. Our party of two lost most of the interest of the servers when we ordered only appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks. The quesadillas were about as good as I could make them with just those basic store-bought ingredients. The potato skins were best praised by their plating. Both felt like how a business hotel serves a "hot breakfast" bar with pre-fab food but for prices you'd fine at the finer establishments in town. Lady Matilda's toasted cheese tostitas cost as much as the excellent hand made cheese and shredded beef tortillas I had the night before 40 minutes away. The difference is that the former charged because they could and the latter because they cared. My advice would be to pick an identity. Go Irish or don't. Pick an identity and then develop a menu that works well with it.
