I contacted several movers; Chris was the only one that came to our home for an in person estimate. We walked the property and he seemed personable and gave us a quote. Unknown to me, this was a RED FLAG. Yeah, we can do this, we can do that, no problem. I've been doing this for so many years. WRONG! The day before he called us to CONFIRM, he had previously stated they could be at our home at 7am. Fast forward to moving day, guess what, their TRUCK BROKE DOWN! They had to rent a truck and arrived at 915 am! We were selling our home and moving, time was wasted. One of them had me initial and sign some forms without explaining. I was sick to my stomach because I made the wrong choice. As soon as they pulled up, I knew the TRUCK WAS TOO SMALL. They only have one truck, and they claim to be a moving company? Guess what, the truck was too small, and they DIDN'T WANT TO LOAD EVERYTHING. After a heated discussion with Chris, they loaded the rest. He stated they can attach a trailer to their truck and couldn't with the rental truck. You called me to confirm my move and your truck has broken down? You didn't realize until the day of the move? RED FLAG. I think they are going to try and charge me double for the move, it ain't gonna happen. Update tomorrow. Photos will follow. Delivery day came and Chris stated the price was now going to be $1725 whether they are there 2 hours or 4 hours, from the original $1225 plus one day in storage at $150 = $1375. Why the $350 difference? An IMPORTANT NOTE is they only take CASH or CERTIFIED CHECK, if you read the reviews, the reason is if you used a debit or credit card, you could contest the payment. They make you use cash so it's impossible to get any money back for damaging your goods. So, they unpacked the truck and broke the glass on a Clock, as we unpacked a Cricut lamp was damaged and will not work. This so-called expert underestimated the load and tried to blame me in the end. We requested the price breakdown, but the invoice just had a total. FYI, I had both cars loaded to the max and Chris wanted to me go buy more boxes for the things that didn't fit into the truck, they do not sell boxes for the things he didn't have room for. He stated they did not get enough blankets to protect my shipment. Professional? I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. My experience with First Class Movers was very positive as it was referred to me by someone else who also had a very positive move & spoke highly of them. First Class Movers were our saviours because as our story goes. We decided to use the services of the Relocate Group (RG) and the rep we were used was Mark H. They gave us a super competitive rate, took our 20% payment and confirm a pick up date at the house on the 23rd. This date was critical because the house was closing on the 26 and the new owners wanted to move in. Well, the 23rd came and no movers! We called head office and spoke to the director of the company and he promise an answer in 30 minutes. Well, we never ever heard from that guy again! We kept calling until we reached someone and they discover they did not scheduled the move in their system. Mark called back and promise they would be there by 25th. Now, we took it upon oursevles to set up a plan B incase the RG didn't show a second time. So, we call ABF, a company I used before, but their rates were $2,000 higher & confirmation from First Class Movers to supplied the labor to load the truck since it was a transcontinental move and First Class Movers services is locally. It was only 1 hour after we had set up plan B that Mark of RG phoned to drop the bomb shell that they couldnt pick up on the 25. Plan B went into action, ABF drop off the truck the next morning at the time they said they would, the labor show up 1 hour later and by the end of the day, the truck was loaded and ready to go I would like to thank ABF & First Class Movers, especially being able to accommodate our emergency on such short notice. read more

I called First Class Moving at the recommendation of a family member and Friends who recently use their services. Chris and Shawn showed up on time and were probably the most careful and courteous hard-working guys you would find. I have to admit I don't have the smallest or lightest furniture & trust me when I say these guys took the task at hand and got to work! The original estimate included a per hour charge and they didn't mess around! Everything made it to my new home and was set up in record time! I had to perform some "surgery" on my kitchen cabinets because my fridge was too wide ( like I said I like big stuff!) They worked around me and we're very patient while I took the task at hand and they managed to put everything in its place and without any damage or problems. I would recommend Chris and Shawn anytime. I plan to give them a call on my next move if they're up to it! I don't understand the bad reviews, I would totally trust these guys again!! I used First Class Moving & Storage to move me into my new home. The gentleman that came to my house to give me an estimate was pretty close to the end cost of everything, I was very happy with that. He sent 2 movers out and within 3 hours they had all the furniture wrapped, moved out, and moved into my new home. They put all the furniture that I needed into the right room, and pretty much into the right spot. Mind me, I was pregnant at the time and this made everything so much easier. These guys were well trained and seemed like they knew what they were doing and got the job done. Everything went very smooth and I would recommend them to anyone. Don't use this moving company. Do not Zelle or Venmo or use a cash transfer service with them. Overpriced for very poor service and follow up. 10/1 update - owner states contract doesn't cover TVs outside of a box. The move was completed without a signed contract, but written communication between me and the owner indicated he planned to pay for the TV. Do not use this company. The movers broke our TV. The owner Chris has been difficult to reach, but eventually told us his company filed a claim with his insurance company - he did not know the name of the company. We submitted two quotes as asked, and he said it typically takes about 3 weeks. One month later, minimal follow up, minimal professionalism. read more

I have now used First Class Moving & Storage on 3 personal moves and even a commercial move. They have been easy to work with on each of moves and their guys are professional and fast. I refer them to friends and family without hesitation. On my last move they packed the majority of my house (which was extremely convenient), moved everything into their storage facility while our renovations were being completed and then moved us into our new house without a hitch. We used First Class Moving at the end of May 2018. Since we were down-sizing our home, we ended up with lots of special requirements due to having more furniture and personal items than would fit in our new home. Shawn, Jake and Kyle were patient and helped us work out the location of furniture and placement of numerous boxes of stuff. I have used First Class Moving 3 times. They moved my Mother's things from Louisiana after she passed away. Her things were put into climate controlled storage until I was ready to face them. I stored it for three months. When I was ready I had them bring her things out. I got Carl and Brandon on the truck and they were wonderful. They seem to understand that l was holding it together by a thread. They made a difficult situation bearable. Nothing was damaged and they treated my Mom's things as if it was their own. First Class Moving moved our house back in June, We ended up having to do a double move into storage and then out 2 weeks later. First Class picked up our belongings from the old house, put them into their storage, then with one phone call delivered all of our belongings back out to the new house with no damage.
